Great time and the people are great sure to stay here again.

First off most the doors dont lock when you leave the room. Also most the rooms don't have flat screens. I went up to an employee and asked for an extra pillow he said they don't do that. So this one Im really mad about. I paid for a whole week. I paid for the $20 deposit that he said I'd get back when I leave. When I returned my key card and asked for my $20 back he said that I never gave him a deposit. Out of all the employees there only like 2 u can actually understand.

This is a great Lil place to stay! Very very clean. I even saw them move a bed to clean under it during a regular cleaning. The owners are great!

Walls are very thin, but motel is quiet for most part. Lots of EARLY rising guests tho, thinking road construction and out of area workers…

Can't ever get a room cause of the Damn construction workers.

Terrible, I wish I could give it zero stars, there was cigarette ashes all over my towel, the Styrofoam cups in the room had hair in them, and I woke up with a ton of bug bites. You're better off sleeping outside.

Comfy bed. Microwave and frig. Nice size room.

Stayed long term 3 weeks — $249.00 a week, after I went in and talked to them, (Mike). His wife (not friendly) quoted $350+tax over the phone) they never vacuumed, dusted, changed sheets once a week. I could not book a flight out on time, so I need to stay 1 more day,,, "She" charged me $55.00 for one extra night. Ridiculous! I think She dosent like white people, who knows! Deal with Mike only, always nice, fair, and friendly.

Pleasantly surprised and pleased with our room. It was reasonably clean and very quiet. Nice flat screen tv. Microwave and refrigerator that works. Price was so reasonable. We would stay here again.

No frills at all! But if your looking for a cheap, clean place to crash overnight this is it! Cheapest in the area! Will stay again for next Concert/Rib off.!

This Place should be SHUT DOWN! This was the worst experence. We did not have a chance to research this hotel before staying it was a pick off the road at night. BUG POOP, all over the walls, holy sheets. Just unhealthy conditions! We tried sleeping in our car, but ended up leaving and coming home around midnight. We came into town to spend some money but this was HIORRID, Sorry Van Wert as long as you have a hotel with these conditions, your going to lose ALOT of revenue.

GPS took us to a dead end street. Hotel is very dated but a good cheap price. Sink leaked and a lock on our door was broken.

Decent hotel, but the the management was terrible. They tried to give us a fee for our service dog and when we provided them the card and docs they said they were going to still charge a pet fee. They wouldn't honor the online prices and then told us to go somewhere else. I guess they don't need business?

Not bad at all. All restaurants are near by and handy. Bed is little hard and rooms are ok.

Myself and two coworkers stayed in a three bed room. It was a large room with three full beds and a small fridge, small microwave, dresser, and wall mounted television. The weekly rate was split into three parts though for each of us to pay separately so it was worth the money we saved. However, one common sense thing — the toilet paper wall attachment was down behind the toilet, 3 inches from the ground, underneath the sink fixture. We would just take the roll off, but every time they cleaned the room, back to the dungeon it went.

I had a family emergency and drove in around 10 pm. After seeing family, I went to get a room. It was around midnight. I go up to the window which stated open. I rang the buzzer and wok up the owner/worker. He was grumpy and rude. I asked for a non smoking room as I do not smoke and the owner/worker argued with me stating " you smell like smoke… and acted like he didn't want to give me a room. Really? Is this guy serious? I just came from a stressful family emergency and a couple family members smoke. After 10 minutes of back and forth, he finally gave me a room. Terrible place. Says under new management but I remember having problems with the same people 5 years prior. New management my foot. I will never stay at that rude and racist hotel ever again. I will pay the extra $25 to stay across the street at The Holiday Inn.

It is a small clean room I paid $200 for the week. The non-smoking rooms don't smell like some idiot has been smoking in them and that's a big plus for me. The Mexican restaurant in front of the hotel is also great.

First of all, the price was very reasonable, $50 tax included, the best price in town, it's $90 across the street. The room was very comfortable, really clean. The shower was really good. They also have a refridgerator and microwave in the room. I had good night's sleep, bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi worked good. I enjoyed my stay here, it was peacefull and quiet. The breakfast was nice, incuded in your stay.

Good place to rest after long trip, good rooms and cheap.

Internet and Toll Free Number said accepts pets. When arrived, no pets allowed sign was posted and stated $25 fee per pet/day. Desk clerk said they had changed internet over 4 months ago. Tired of people lying.

It was late when we arrived and rainy. They were very accomidating. We had a room near the office, and it was very clean. The room itself was welcoming after a 15 hour drive. Everyone was very nice and helpful during our stay and we liked that we could walk to the Mexican restraunt and enjoy a HOT meal the next evening. Prices were VERY reasonable. Definatly be coming back when we visit again.

When I was here July, 2012 for a contract position, I found that this hotel was simply utilitarian. No frills, no luxuries — one vending machine for overpriced Pepsi products. There was free Wi-Fi when I was staying there, but it came from an underpowered router hiding somewhere in the main office. Thus, most guests are either out of signal range or have barely any connection at all. Best stay on 3g (as Van Wert barely even has that, most of the time being on Edge). Not to say I was displeased. The turndown service was punctual and very thorough. The managers were nice and friendly. Just don't expect much except a spartan room, firm bed, and static on the television. And bring a mobile HotSpot as the closest city with any sort of Internet Connection is Fort Wayne, 30 miles away.

I never know what to expect here. The rooms are very nice and clean and have flat screens, micros and fridge. I have stayed here 4times and would have recommended this place, BUT I have tried to stay here 3 other times when I was met by a man at the front desk who tried to charge me more on the nightly rate and then he tried to charge me some kind of non refundable deposit. I do not have a pet and travel solo. So I have walked away 3 times and with other brand new motels located across the street, I will avoid the Guestkeeper in my future travels.
