This is our second stay. We are from around the Pittsburgh area and we recommend the Grand Resort to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway at a reasonable cost. The service we experienced was top notch. All staff from front desk, housekeeping, lifeguards and servers were extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room and all amenities were spotless. This is a great get away location for anyone from families, couples & singles. Can’t say enough about it. Looking forward to many future stays. Thanks for the memories!

Dinner was nice and reasonable our room is clean the beds are very comfortable a must visit we will do more site seeing tomorrow but the place looks fabulous 💕

Stayed for one night and will definitely be back! We did the ultimate spa package and upon arrival immediately staff was super nice and accommodating. The spa services were amazing including the bars/food, Roman bath, game room experience. Highly recommend and will be back and hopefully for a much longer stay!

They are not welcoming to those who are not members to the country club by any means, even though you're paying $300+ a night. The members act like they own the place & complain A LOT … They also don't like kid's there, but don't specify that. (regardless of age). They literally stare you down & make you uncomfortable. My 14 yr old daughter was also hit on buy a 70+ year old member of the club by the pool, along with Some Rude teenage pool staff. There were women in their 60s in thong swimsuits, but they complain about young girl's wearing bikinis. Not once did they offer to refund anything to my family. We ended up checking out 4 hrs after we checked in. This is NOT a family friendly resort/country club as they advertise. Will not be returning. But, the place is beautiful. Our room was clean. Some of the staff was very nice. The drinks were well made.

STAY IN THE GRAND SPA SUITE! What a room! Everything in this hotel from the cleanliness to the food, atmosphere, amenities…. Couldn’t complain! Spa, cigar bar, wine bar, everything we ate was delicious. Wish we stayed longer.

I had a wonderful experience at the spa, with Jazmine as my massage therapist! I came in on a cold snowy day and bought a 90 minute hot stone massage, followed by the Vichy and sea salt scrub. Both were absolutely amazing and worth every penny. I left refreshed and relaxed! I would highly recommend both services. I also recommend Jazmine as she is sweet, professional and personable. 10/5 from me!

Absolutely beautiful! Fantastic pools & amenities! Other sister properties in the area are available for your use. We had a suite and it was huge with a living room, kitchen, & extra bathroom. The employees go above & beyond to accommodate your needs.

We had a wonderful experience! The concierge in the Cigar lounge was very knowledgeable and also recommended a good bourbon to accompany the cigars. Our dinner afterwards was perfect! We will be back.

The resort was absolutely breathtaking. It’s a hidden gem in the city. We’ll definitely be back when it warms up to take advantage of the outdoor amenities.

We celebrated a small wedding dinner in the lovely ballroom. The service was spectacular, the food delicious. Marissa was wonderful to work with in our ever changing Covid plans! Highly recommend!

I am a member so I frequent there a lot. We went there for my mothers birthday and it was a large group of us and the service was terrible. Our food came out cold the order was terribly wrong and this is the worst service I’ve ever gotten since I’ve been going there. They have a lot of newer servers there and I feel like if you are serving dishes that cost the amount of money that they cost there is no room for mistakes because you’re expecting five star experiences and that didn’t happen.

Dinner at Gatsby’s: Lamb Chops. Flawless.
Complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning: Nicely done and tasty (thank god for coffee, the aforementioned dinner included an Old Fashioned that was to die for). Dinner in the bar/restaurant: omg the Bavarian Pretzel appetizer and the Black and Bleu burger… flawless again.
Oh did I mention the pool and Roman bath? Didn’t get to use them but they are stunning.
My room was clean and cozy. Great channel selection on the TV too.
I’ll be back the next time I’m in the area for sure!

My wife and I stayed at the Avalon Inn for our 25th anniversary. It’s a very nice hotel with spacious, well appointed rooms. They also have a terrific restaurant and well stocked bar. Recommended place to stay!

Avalon Inn should have a hot tub either by the pool or with the spa. Everything is perfect other than that! Very satisfied.

Wonderful property. The interior design is very contemporary and classic. The finishes and fixtures are all up to date, spotlessly clean, and there are no signs of wear. Very comfortable beds and quiet rooms. And the food in the restaurant was delicious; really high quality and well prepared and presented.

We went for my birthday dinner. The lobster tail is Amazing! Server, Robert was fantastic, helpful and friendly. All of us enjoyed our dinner selection and had a great celebration.

Visited for a wedding reception. It was a wonderful event and the staff was amazing. It's a beautiful building with lots of parking (and valet service), and wonderful atmosphere.

We golfed at an outing for 811. The course was fantastic drainage at the course was some of the best I have seen. Most locations were up to date with the latest tech and comforts of large courses. Club house dI'd have some games that not working but got fixed right away. Dinner was great food was was not rushed like some events. All staff was nice and willing to make you feel welcome.

This is a very nice resort. The bed is very comfortable, and the rooms are very nice and clean and quiet. Complimentary breakfast was good. So much nicer than a busy hotel. I would definitely suggest staying here. Great location, easy to get to a lot of restaurants and shops. Don’t feel you need to be a golfer to stay here either, we aren’t. It was close to a dr that my husband was seeing, so that’s why we chose it.
Lots of amenities, everything you need to unwind and relax. I would highly recommend.

We stayed in one of the patio suites. The room is very spacious and the shower was great. I was disappointed to see that with such a nice room the amenities were sub par. No name in room coffee and Styrofoam cups with only 2 bottles of water. All in all, I would stay again now that I know what to expect. The free breakfast was very nice.

What a great experience. Plenty of options besides golf, so bring the family! I didn't play golf, but intend to soon as I heard great things about it. Staff was very friendly and helpful — even to a few guests who were difficult. Great food and atmosphere — nice escape!

Beautiful place, deserves five stars except that a new pool is under construction. Staff is personable and friendly. Golf Course is challenging.

Go to Gatsby's in the Avalon in about once a week. The food is superb, the service is above and beyond expectation. Alex is the Best bartender anywhere in the area!

Good food, strong drinks at bar. Didn't get a chance to see the rooms but all the facilities are nice in the hotel.

We were to get adjoining King Suites. They took them out of service right before we got there. Then they charged us the same price for a regular room. Maids service was hit or miss, I had good service and my brother had poor service. First time I have been disappointed in my stay.

Absolutely amazing! I have stayed at the Hilton where I live in North Carolina, and this hotel is much nicer! It was an absolute pleasure staying here!

This is truly Warren Ohio hidden gem. Since I discovered this place it has been the best resort I have ever stayed at. The staff are friendly and accommodating and treat you like family. This place has become my second home it is my home away from home. I don’t have much but I would spend my last dollar at this resort. It is truly resort living at its finest. The rooms are comfortable the amenities are endless and the breakfast is amazing. They deserve a 10 star rating if there was one and I would recommend this place if you want to have memories that will last a lifetime.

This was a fantastic experience! Lovely for adults and children alike. My son and myself awoke early one morning and ventured to the arcade which was not yet open. The staff gladly made us feel special and opened it ahead of time, we thank you. In addition, I had a very restful sleep and felt wonderful in the morning. I would recommend to anyone and will most assuredly return!

Rooms were very nice clean and modern. There were plenty of amenities, including a large pool and excersize area. Staff was very courteous and helpful.

I attended a fundraiser at the Avalon Inn. The hall looked fantastic. Not sure what amenities the Avalon's staff to care of, but the event was great without any hiccups. No audio issues. No food issues. I was impressed.

Absolutely had two amazing days and nights there. Went to the Gatsby Restaurant and had the best waiter ever. Rob gave his honest opinion on the best wines and food. Super attentive and just all around an amazing guy! Look forward to seeing him the next time we go! Thank you so much.

It was a beautiful event center. The people who ran it were wonderful. And the food from the buffet was very good! They even had enough for us to go back for more!

Simply put, one of the best resort/hotel that I've stayed in recently. It was big with a lot of amenities, the rooms were decent sized and the upgrades we're definitely worth it. Since it is located far from the freeway, it is quite and very refreshing. A must stay at least once for the experience.

Great bar with an even better vibe. Food smelled delicious and the fireplace was a nice touch. Wine pours were incredibly generous.

The Avalon inn was very nice. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Our group played on their golf simulators at the golf course. Awesome to play in December! So realistic!. Service was great. Overall awesome experience.

The food was excellent and the banquet room was very spacious. The architecture and decorations were all very nice. The bar service was phenomenal, everything was well staffed with friendly employees and the bar had a great variety.

This hotel has a charming, traditional, upscale feel for a relatively inexpensive price for this class of hotel. Bed were exceptionally comfortable and hotel was very clean with good upkeep. Breakfast was less than expected but comparable to your typical continental buffet.

Brie at the hotel bar would not change the chanel to the Yankees game. The toilet paper is low quality. Ridiculously long hallways. Subpar breakfast. Everything else is nice, though. Instantly hot shower. Comfy beds. Clean rooms. Nice front desk people.

Great place and even better food. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and was also a prime cut. If you don't know what at prime cut is don't ever call me for meat recommendations again. The service staff was helpful and courteous.

Second time visiting on business. The room is exceptionally comfortable. In house restaurant offers a great menu of many choices. A lot of great amenities that I will not get to enjoy… but the entire property and staff are each 5 stars!

We used Avalon Inn for our wedding block for our out of town guests who came. My reception was held at another Inn a few miles from the Avalon and I knew I wanted a high class, very personal experience for my wedding block so there wasn’t a question it would be the Avalon Inn. I contacted them, got everything set up months prior. There was a change in who was taking over block accounts but not once did I experience a hiccup due to a transfer of duties. Corrie was AMAZING to work with. When we were in town (we lived a few hundred miles away) we met with Corrie, she gave us a tour since we hadn’t seen it since the renovation, and was so kind to us. When it came to the deadline of our rooms, before they’d be released for others to book, we did find out that our guests were being told there weren’t rooms available in our block anymore (when I knew there were) but it just took one call to Corrie or having my guests tell the front desk who to talk to there, and our issues were resolved. I do wish that didn’t happen, otherwise it would be nothing but accolades. Our guests loved the place and the amenities. We will surely be staying there on our own when we are in town next. If you want class and a personalized experience for your guests, we certainly recommend block rooms at Avalon!

Excellent decor in the rooms, modern furniture and the walls have a elegant touch of the past. The bed is like you are sleeping on a cloud. Just beautiful! Staff was very accommodating. I will definitely be staying here again when I am in this part of Ohio again.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Interesting pseudo-modern decor in those rooms. Bathroom was weirdly laid out with a big vanity but no sink out side of the actual bathroom. Very spacious mini fridge. All the rooms also came with an aux to connect to the night stand alarm clock boom box. The wedding reception was beautiful. The staff was prompt with service and very kind. Really helped keep the night going smoothly. An awesome venue for any special occasion. Would highly recommend to any one else.

Overall it was ok. The design of the room left a bit to be desired. Nearly zero counter space in the bathroom, to the point they hang the hairdryer on the only hook on the wall. Out in the foyer of the bath their is another dinky counter and the mirror. Alas very dim and yellowish lighting so now there is no good place for the wife to put on make-up. Service was ok, but they first gave us keys to the wrong room, and then checked one of our couples out a day early. Breakfast was excellent, sausage eggs bacon hash browns cereal yogurt…

Excellent, beautiful resort hotel. If you see it available on HotelTonight or Priceline (or similar service) for a discount, just get it — you won't be disappointed.

Booked off of Hotwire as I was in town for a business meeting. What a steal of a hotel for the price paid. Fantastic facilities (gym = WOW), spacious bedroom, and great golf course. Only complaints would be the breakfast as it is worse than a Comfort Inn's, but otherwise, it was great!

Nice clean and quiet. My room was not particularly large but decent size. View of the golf course was beautiful. Did not try the breakfast but it looked and smelled good. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Lobby was clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay here again but I did have a economical hot wireless rate.

The Avalon Inn was a beautiful place to stay. The facilities blew us away and the room was lovely. The staff were very warm and friendly and we were very happy with our experience. We had only been looking for a place to stay during a road trip and found a place we would look to stay at for its own sake.

Food was somewhat bland for having such a small menu. My experience has been that smaller menus typically result in a focus on the dinners served; so I was disappointed with the meal. Waitress was friendly, but she didnt check in very often, and only refilled when she delivered the food. Then she disappeared with my check and credit card for a long time. Questionable security; I noticed a distinct lack of cameras in the halls. No towels at the pool. Pool attendant was missing. I think 3 stars is pretty generous given the aforementioned reasons.

The Avalon was warm and cozy when you walked in and felt extremely welcoming which makes you feel right at home. Service was great and the beds was so comfortable makes you fall fast asleep.

An amazing place in the middle of nowhere. Looks like an old apartment complex converted into a massive, stylish resort. Clean rooms, friendly staff, good food and stiff drinks. Will definitely return if I'm out that way again.

I recently went there for the 2016 RYLA conference and it was fantastic. We stayed for 2 and a half days. The 6 meals I had while attending were very good and the staff was so kind. The rooms were also very clean, organized they were just very nice.

The staff was friendly and attentive. Even though they were under construction it was beautifully decorated, and the staff helped us with everything. At breakfast they had a server named Claire who was a great help and was kind, and such beautiful surroundings. We loved our room the fridge, would have loved a microwave though to warm up food. I saw the reviews on yelp and should not have 2 stars it's a great hotel great workout place, bar, steakhouse, and a great place to walk around and just to enjoy yourself. The general store has anything you need and besides the soda which you can get at the grocery for less, the liquor is a good price. It was a great day and a beautiful hotel. We will be back again.

Only stayed after a wedding reception for the night. Rooms were clean and spacious. Much better than the reputation the hotel had in the past. Comfortable and spacious, not much else I could ask for given the circumstances.

Shower didn't work. Manager did not respond to call. Would not stay here in the future. Rooms were not all that clean and definitely aging. Breakfast was not very good (stale bagels, cold eggs). Beautiful views, but not worth the money.

In Warren, there are a number of new hotel constructions which are ok if you like that kind commercial motel, hotel thing. I've visited a few and they were typically pretty loud. Avalon has been in Warren for years and is much more charming, homey, quiet than any other places in town. I have been living in New York City for 12 years and it's really the only hotel I would consider visiting or putting family up in while in Warren. In fact, we stayed there for a month upon moving to town back in the 1980's. For the locals, the place is a bit of an institution. There are tennis courts, a great pool complex, comfortable rooms, a restaurant/bar on site. Obviously the place has aged and the new owners are actively working on bringing the place back to it's previous glory. The grounds are in a pastoral location set just outside of town and you've got an superb dining facility right there. The Chop House is well liked by locals, fancy enough but also casual and the food is terrific. At the Chop House, they have a really cool verandah complete w. Ceiling fans where you can dine in the summer months. The Avalon has all kinds of rooms for events, conferences, weddings, showers and enough hotel rooms to accomodate your friends/families while in town. In fact, I met some of the staff when looking to plan a wedding and they were very organized, professional and enthusiastic.
