The prices are a bit higher, but the food is spectacular, and the cheesecake is amazing. The best of the best when it comes to wines as well. This place is always a great experience, but can often be packed if you go during holidays or prime times. It's a very cute b&b that has a restaurant and winery on the bottom with a patio too. This is my favorite winery in the Mansfield/Bellville amd surrounding area.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and assertive. We loved the large beautiful room and had our own private balcony and large updated bathroom with a tub. Everything was spotless. We had dinner in an igloo at sunset and it was an amazing experience. While we did have a great experience, there were a few things that could have made our stay even better…. To start, there were practically no channels on the TV. We wanted to watch a movie on AMC but couldn’t. Also, the shower head was old and clogged so it felt like a light sprinkle rather than a stream of water on my head so it took twice as long to rinse. The dinner service started off rocky as we waited 20 min in our igloo for someone to come out to the table (I had to call the restaurant to remind them that we were there). But after that, they really stepped the service and all was great. I ordered the strawberry salad with chicken and it was excellent. My husband was pleased with his steak and we both enjoyed some bites of the coconut chocolate homemade cheesecake for dessert. The only other issue we had is that they didn’t ask us any questions about preferences at breakfast. They just served us dessert like waffles with Carmel toppings and sausage (I don’t eat sausage and do not prefer to eat that much sugar for breakfast). So I had asked them for some eggs. They were happy to oblige but returned with partially cooked scrambled eggs which I had to send back.

The most expensive and disappointing meal I think I've ever had. We were part of a large group, but we preordered from a limited menu. The appetizers were good, especially the mushroom soup, but the wines were not good. Cabernet shouldn't be sweet. The dinners were very disappointing. The steak was overcooked twice and the mashed potatoes were runny. The salmon was dry and overcooked. The Tuscan pasta was barely warm and contained exactly 3 spinach leaves and none of the roasted tomatoes and the sauce tasted like it came from a jar. The cheesecake relied more on quantity than quality. Despite ordering ahead of time, food came out very sporadically and some people were eating dessert before others got their dinners. My bill came to $63 for a single meal and I could have eaten better at home for a week for that. This was not the fine dining experience I expected to have.

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and courteous, and our room was spacious and nicely appointed. We dined in the restaurant as well and our server Hanna did a great job taking care of us. We are looking forward to going back in the fall.

Disappointing Stay!
Took my wife to stay the whole weekend for a late Valentine's getaway and was highly disappointed with the overall experience.
Friday night, we wanted to do the wine tasting with dinner/cheesecake. While we were having our tasting, the owner came out and told us the kitchen was being closed and the staff was being sent home. I asked if we could at least have a piece of cheesecake, and we could have dinner on Saturday. We were told NO. I then told him we were staying there for the weekend, and the only thing he could say was, "I don't know what to say. " He then told us of a bar down the street where we could get food and drinks! (I don't know if he said this because we look like a younger couple, but I was highly offended) I brought my wife to have a romantic weekend away, not go to some bar down the street. We ended up ordering a pizza and eating in our room for the night.
Saturday, we planned on venturing out for the first half of the day and ending our evening with a nice dinner & dessert. While we were leaving, the owner saw us and introduced us to his wife as the couple that didn't get our food or cheesecake the night before; they just laughed it off. We got back from our day around dinner time.

The Wishmaker House in Bellville is a restaurant that just happens to have rooms. There is no B&B charm. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but there is no place for a guest to relax downstairs. While there is a room supposed to be dedicated for the guests, they put the overflow from the restaurant to eat in there. There is a sign that tells guests not to use the front door. (That is for the restaurant patrons. ) You are directed to the side entrance, the same as the employees. The employees are all wait staff for the restaurant, and I always felt like I was in their way. The breakfast was okay, but Der Dutchman in town is better.

What a delightful place to stop and have lunch or to have a special night out. My sisters and I stopped for lunch and everything we got was so tasty and delicious. The manager also showed us the rooms for the bed and breakfast and each room was so clean and tastefully decorated, some even had a little balconies that overlooked the little town of Belleville. I’m definitely planning an evening out there again the staff was friendly the place was clean and beautifully decorated.

Love this place, highly recommend! Had a lunch here for the first time. Cathy was exceptional, she went above and beyond making sure our food and drink was up to our expectations. We really love the pork shank, mushroom soup and cheesecakes were delicious! We also appreciate the owner checking in and asking us how everything was. Merry Christmas and thanks again for great experience! Will be back in January!

This place is beautiful! I have never stayed only enjoyed the restaurant! Inside is gourgeous and the patio is legit! Great craft beer selection as well. And it's open on SUNDAYS!

Wishmaker is fantastic! the artisan cheese tray was off the hook! get it when you go, you will love it. The beer selection is amazing. When we went, they had run out of the first 4 or 5 beers we asked for, the owner came to see us and went beer shopping for us while we listened to live music on the beautiful patio… then they comped one of our beers, which was so nice of them. The service, the food, and the music is always amazing.

I am so glad I went to this bed and breakfast for a few days. The house is a mansion with so much to see. The whole place is beautifully decorated. You could spend a lot of time enjoying every wall. The paintings are gorgeous. The staff was so friendly. The rooms were CLEAN. The staff treated us like dear friends. I would go back again and recommend this B&B to everyone I know was going anywhere near Bellview Ohio. I tried new foods I'd never eaten before and was I glad I did. I would give give Wishmaker B@B 10/10. Worth the trip. Oh I forgot to mention their wine. They make it there themselves. I am not a wine drinker but I not only drank drank a bottle but I bought a bottle to bring home.

We had dinner at the bar. The staff was friendly and the bartender very knowledgeable. We ordered 2 meals and I had a glass of wine. The meals were delicious and plenty to eat for the price. We took half of each meal home. The only disappointment was the dessert. I was not happy with my choice as it just wasn't the flavor I expected for a peanut butter cheesecake. Overall we will be back.
