The rooms were so nice, soft comfortable beds, very good shower. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Convenient location. No complaints at all. We would be happy to stay here again!

Let me start off by saying I travel a lot for work; 250+ nights a year, at least 80% of the time in or around the Minneapolis area, so I know a little something about staying in hotels. This is one hotel I will never stay in again. First off, this is not what I would consider a 3 Star La Quinta. Secondly, I do not know how this hotel has the rating it has. Most importantly, this is the most unprofessional, ignorant, incompetent, rude hotel staff; as a whole, I have ever encountered. If I were to list all of the issues I had with my stay at this establishment, it would be a book. Here are a few of the highlights:** BEWARE** This hotel makes a copy of all your credit card, driver’s license, etc. When asked, clerk had no clue as to why. In ALL the hotels I have stayed in since starting my job, no one has EVER done this. Sketchy and worrysome. I did get it back when I asked at checkout, but who knows what’s done with that information in the meantime. ** Front desk staff — Unprofessional, ignorant and rude. This was true of each and every encounter I had with 3 different gals. I just gave up after that. ** Housekeeping — No attempt to clean areas affected by renovations. Throw things away they shouldn’t. Do not stock when needed. And then there was a sink overflowing incident that resulted in my things getting wet; still baffled at how that could have possibly happened. ** Laundry facilities out of order for majority of stay (6 nights).

This hotel is being remodeled, and definitely needs it. The first room that we were placed in smelled badly of smoke. The desk clerk got us to a new room and the new room didn't smell but was definitely old and outdated. Pink walls, rusty fixtures, etc. The upside was that the workers were all very pleasant. Some others in our group were placed in rooms that had been remodeled and they were nice. I wouldn't go here again until the remodeling is complete.

We arrived and checked in around 7:30pm to a warm room… we thought the AC had been turned down, but it was actually BROKEN! We called the front desk and asked about our AC around 9pm. We were told it is "still cold at night, just open your window"! They said a maintenance person would fix it in the morning. We barely slept because we were so hot. In the morning we reminded the front desk it needed fixed as we headed out for the day. After being gone all day, we just arrived back to our room, tired from not sleeping last night. Our window is STILL open and our AC is NOT FIXED! My husband went down to the front desk and they informed him… "sorry, we don't have maintenance workers on the weekend"! Really? Then why were we told last night one would be called and why were we not told this morning when we reminded them? We were not offered a different room, we were simply told "sorry". I will never stay at a laquinta inn ever again. DO NOT STAY HERE! The worst customer service I have ever experienced. A complete waste of our money, so aggravated!

Someone else was paying for my room. Saturday morning the person called the hotel and gave their CC info while also letting them know I was going to be the one actually staying. Upon check in on Saturday I told the manger… what needs to happen if I extend one night. She said just have person call and give permission. When the payer called Sunday to add the second day we were both informed that unless she could come in with the card or fill out form emailed to her with acct info my two small children and I would have to leave. Two people at Corp told me same thing. PEOPLE… WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Finally after I told them, kicking us out for your manager's error was wrong and I would leave but I have a big mouth that would make sure to let everyone that would listen what happened.

We stayed here 5/12/18 and will be canceling our additional days. There are strange people moving things (TVs, wood parts? ) in and out of rooms. If I could rate this place with no stars I would. Hideously disgusting. Do not stay here. The pullout bed was “used”, and I’ll leave that to your imagination. We reserved a suite so the room with pullout is attached to main room with door separating. The floors were not mopped. The doors slam shut. The drawers had food and nasty stuff in them, yes I checked them all. As I went to pick up the phone to call management, I noticed nasty hair on phone and then I actually looked at how gross the phone was and the alarm next to it. The bathroom ledges do not look like they have ever been cleaned. Decided to check microwave, and you guessed it, nasty. Seriously! And of course they can’t give us a different room for our son so they brought a fold up bed which of course they just put fresh sheets in it, and yes I pulled them off to check the bed… beds? They stuck two nasty 1950’s beds together, wrapped it up with a clean (hopefully) sheet, and then we had to ask for a damn pillow!

Employee at the front desk acted like we were an inconvenience when we were asking for a room and a rate on a room. Did not appreciate the lack of caring or Hospitality went somewhere else and stay for the night.

Love Michelle she always takes great care of us whenever we stay. Most recently when there was a hiccup with our reservation Paulette upgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite. Both ladies are amazing. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a good variety available for breakfast and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for snacks. The pool and hot tub are also great fun. Highly recommend. Any undesirable guests are asked to leave and put on a do not rent list. Management is excellent.

Great friendly staff. Budget hotel but breakfast was good, though it doesn't change. But the staff is wonderful and friendly you'd always feel welcome.

Location is good, right off the highway. The lobby was remodeled well and offered free cookies, popcorn, and beverages. However, our room smelled off and kind of like sewage? Carpeting was "off" in some areas, lumpy and just placed over whatever the floor is made of. Room walls were pretty thin and could hear people walking by or talking. At about 8 30 in the morning on a Saturday, a housekeeper was talking to someone right in front of our door for 20-30 minutes and we could hear most of it. The room was clean though and bed was comfy. It was just "okay" for the price. When we checked out, the front desk staff asked how our room was and we hesitated and said "… It was… alright. " He did not ask for any elaboration on our assessment.

This place is awful, management is rude, poor customer service people of other nationalities becareful. Reported them to the Attorney General, BBB and exposed it to social media. Buyer beware record every conversation with them. Not truthful about things. I agree with one of the other reviews AFRICAN AMERICANS DON'T stay here. Spend your money on a hotel that respects you patronising their establishment! Your anwer to this statement is not true. This is my Google account information. Very valid statement!

The rooms here are mediocre and needs to be updated. There's no cable TV. The heat does not work sufficiently enough to warm the room in — 10° weather so we all had to sleep fully dressed. We literally used the hairdryer to help keep the room warm, which shockingly worked better than the window heating unit. The staff was nice but couldn't put us in another room with a working heating unit because there were no more doubles available. I've frequented the La Quinta inn before and have always had great rooms. This is by far the worst and I won't be back to this one. There is free Wi-Fi and a pool, but mostly all hotels have that so that's nothing to brag about.

Clean room at a good rate. Decent free breakfast was a bonus. Easy access to the freeway, but didn't notice any freeway noise in our room. We had a single queen room with a shower stall — no tub which was just fine for our needs.

Filthy room, overdosed with Febreeze. Asked for better room, but was told no even though hotel was not full. Towels had holes. Plenty of newer hotels east of this one along I-694.

Do not stay here. Luckily were only staying for one night. But we are very dissatisfied with this hotel. 1. There is no latch on the bathroom door, like it doesnt close. 2. Ive never been to a hotel where they refused to give us an extra pillow. We only got three pillows in our room and we both sleep with two, when we asked for one more they said no. 3. Not to mention the totally outdated shower. We had to go to the front desk to figure out how to turn on the shower, yes it was that confusing. We will not be coming back here.

Delightful stay. Got in after midnight. Dog friendly place; supplies grass, poop bags, trash bins. Clean and nice. Bed so soft I did not use supplied pillow. Breakfast had cranberries for my oatmeal. Found one burnt out light bulb which will be easy to fix. Friendly staff. This place worked for me.

While the room was nice and our check in process was great, whoever the female was working the desk at 10am 10/24/2017 charged an extra $100 to our room. Denied our claim. Refused to look at out statement proving we were charged and rudely told us it was somehow our banks fault while whispering under her breath that the extra hundred dollar charge "will eventually fall off". I understand mistakes happen and extra charges are made, but the rude demeanor and lack of respect will result in me never ever staying here again.

Good for a cheap, short stay. Pillows and bed were hard. Wouldn't want to stay more than one night. Nice shower. Decent breakfast.

Nice hotel and I'd totally give it a five star but the maid woke me up at 8am by opening and knocking on my door with a DO NOT DISTURB SIGN hanging on my handle. I was working at night and had only been asleep a couple hours at that point. I had another night job late that night and I could not get back to sleep after I was woke. If you stay there I recommend ear plugs and using the deadbolt and hinge lock. I was dead on my feet tired so I completely spaced out using the extra locks. Never really needed to use them before this experience.

Spent several night here in the past several years. Each time hotel accommodations met our needs. The location is close to several main arteries from quick travel north or south. Minneapolis travel is always tough in rush hours. Several restaurants close by but none in walking distance.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We arrived after driving for almost 20 hours with little sleep and our 2 year old was beyond ready to get out of his car seat. This is the only reason we stayed one night. It is a 'nonsmoking' hotel but everything smelled of smoke. After asking for a different room the receptionist kindly gave us a different one and admitted this used to be a smoking hotel. The room was filthy! Everything about this hotel was absolutely disgusting and outdated. The carpet was damp and the air conditioning barely worked, in August. This is the absolute worst Laquita we have ever stayed in and will never be coming back.

The lobby has been updated which made us think the hotel had been updated. Apparently they are in that process. The room we had was small and the queen beds are even smaller, barely large enough for 2 people. Hope you like to cuddle. The pool and hot tub were nice and my kids enjoyed them. Breakfast was pretty basic with typical items. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our stay was ok but don't think we'd stay here again.

Hotel is a bit worn. The room is small but adequate. Hotel is located in a business park with no nearby restaurants. Be careful making reservations. I finished a business trip earlier than expected and the manager refused to let me out of a four day stay. I'm going to pay for an empty room. Should have stayed at a real hotel.

I stay at LaQuinta frequently and have always found them to be clean and comfy. This hotel, however, was not a good experience. When I got there, two customers were yelling at the front desk person in the lobby. Then the room was filthy. Bed was clean, or I would have left. But bathrooms, upholstered furniture and carpets were disgusting. Please maintain your hotel!

I booked a room with 2 queen beds and I am 100% sure that I communicated with a young lady. When I arrived at the front desk, I met 2 elderly ladies and a young lady who were staring at a computer and they seem confused with their booking entry. I told them my name and showed my ID and was given a key to go to a room with my wife and my daughter. In the room there was a single bed. I called the front desk and asked them that I booked a room with 2 queen beds. One of the elderly ladies asked me when I booked the room and I told her 2 weeks ago. She said that I booked a room with a single bed. I said, “no, with a strong voice”, that is not true. You might have made a mistake and I need a room with 2 beds. This time the lady said, we can bring you a roller for your kid. Now, I understood that they messed up the booking and they gave my room to someone else and decided to cajole me. This lady further told me if I do not accept what they said I can leave the hotel. That made me even angrier and I was thinking to call the police. Thankfully, ¬¬¬¬ my wife advised me to leave the hotel and we immediately called another Inn and booked what we wanted. Then we went to the front desk to cancel our reservation. I asked the 2 elderly ladies if they were the only people working at the front desk. They said yes. I know I talked to a young lady and she probably didn’t want to argue and was not around when we were leaving.

Stayed is two rooms both times no tub just stand up shower/toilet. No microwave or fridge in room. The hotel had been under "renovation" for two years with construction materials in hallway. Jacuzzi permanently closed. Room doors not sound proof with a 2 inch gap at bottom of door. Furniture and bed worn out. Paid $50 for room on priceline. More like international hostel for students than a hotel. In Brooklyn NOT the city!

We had a room there for 2 weeks. Our pet stayed free, which was good. The free breakfast was reasonable and I liked the biscuits and gravy, and blueberry waffles. The staff respected our privacy and accomodated us with our needs at the same time. I only had one negative thing happen and that was the people in the room on the floor above us were very loud and stomping on the floor from 4am unril sometimes midnight to 2am. My only suggestion is they should get a microwave and fridge in all guest rooms. Or at least a fridge. The beds were not terrible but could use improvement.

Our work stays here many months a year. It's very clean, great staff, breakfast is a winner! Hottub could be a little warmer… can't win them all.

It is okay for an inexpensive place to stay. Needs new carpet …

Our room was prepared early for us and I was notified via text. It was very convenient knowing ahead and when it was ready. Everything was pretty good for us, we enjoyed our stay. The only complaint was it was very loud/easy to hear neighbors and other occupants.

First of all I have to say that for the price that we paid this was a very nice place to stay. I have been to a lot worse and paid more to stay there. The rooms that we stayed in were very clean and did not smell of smoke what so ever. The bed in the first room was a little bit hard, but the bed in the second room was perfect! The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was surprisingly good! They had a make your own waffle station, biscuits and gravy, and lots of other goodies as well. Now for the one down flaw for me… I came here with my boyfriend and stayed at the hotel while he tended to some business, I was very excited to go for a hot tub and swim while he was working… unfortunately the pool was freezing, didn't even feel heated at all! And the hot tub was not hot, more like luke warm, also the jets weren't really jets more like holes that just blew out some cold air. Very out dated spa. So all in all if you are looking for a place to stay for night or two and don't plan on using the spa then this is the place for you! Enjoy! I hope this is helpful.

Worst hotels in the nation. Please never ever stay in this hotel. I would rather spend night in car.

Horrible place couldn't sleep hard pillow and bed bugs…

Excellent accomodations, especially for the price. Room was clean, staff friendly, and the space was nice. Great location giving access to all the Cities has to offer, yet pretty quiet. Definitely will return in the future. AND dog friendly.

Good price and Hotel! Staff very friendly, good breakfast, (compared to other continental breakfast) it appears that they are making some updates in rooms, looking forward to book one of those.

Last time I booked through the 1-800 number and got to this location the room I got was not the room I booked; in the end they did get me the room requested, but it was a pain in the butt to have all my things and have to wait in the lobby. So this time around I called the location to verify my room and NATE was so awesome! He verified that my reservation was not only correct, but upgraded me to a king from a queen size room! Great customer service on his part and hope the stay is just as great.

Nice hotel, clean rooms but the mattress was like sleeping on a board and there were a lot of shoddy repairs in the bathroom.

I left my wife alone in the morning and a MALE house keeper attempted to open the door at 8:30 AM. If there weren't the door chain who knows what could he have done to my wife. Besides, what kind of house keeping is it to come in your room at 8:30 am? Two knocks and the door opens. I do not think it's house keeping. Be caution when staying at this motel.
