This property is extremely nice, clean and fun. The staff are professionals who aim to please and always go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. I love tbe American Inn and will stay here again.

Location is great, close to Valleyfair, mystic lake, and the racetrack. The pool was good, had a mini pool for young kids, with frog slide. The continental breakfast was pretty standard. Only complaint really is the parking lot is small. We returned back at 9-9:30 and had a hard time finding a spot. Some of this was due to other inconsiderate drivers parking in two spots or trucks with trailers taking several spots, but the couple spots that were open my car could barely fit. Overall it was a good place to sleep and do some activities near by.

My dad stayed here for a night visiting us. The hotel was very nice! It was clean, and the pool and slide was very fun! We'll definitely have our visitors stay here in the future!

I took my girlfriend here for a night out, went to the casino, then came back for swimming. Our room had a Jacuzzi, and the room was immaculate. Very clean, great breakfast, and the staff is awesome!

Great place for the price. The staff was super helpful and the place was clean and offered all the things we needed. We did our daughter's birthday party here. The kids had fun in the pool area. The had a big water slide for the older kids and a small frog slide for the young kids. We will for sure be back and to do next year's party as well.

I've been to other Americ inn Lodge and this is one of the worst that I've been to. As we walked in the front door the front desk attendant wasn't so nice she had her dog sitting on the couch she should have put her dog away somewhere my two-year-old went towards her dog and she was telling me to keep my baby away from her dog she is 2 years old she don't know any better and I'm trying to get a hotel room and after that she went out and sat and stared at my daughter and I as we walked up the stairs she told me don't let my daughter touch the rails cuz it was going to break and I just thought that if the rails weren't any good somebody needs to fix it and not telling me and my daughter not to touch the rail it was really pathetic of her to say such thing. I went there on a snowy day and the Snows weren't even plow we couldn't even Park. The only thing nice there was the room breakfast was okay wasn't the greatest. I've had breakfast at other Americ inn way better than this. And yes indeed I agree with everybody else the the guest service was the problem.

Hotel was in a great location. Was quiet, had a friendly staff and a decent hot breakfast. The pool had a slide, but was a little small.

We had a good night. Clean rooms. Good customer service checking in but checking out, front desk lady didn't seem pleasant. My only real complaint is there is definitely not enough parking to accommodate all guest. The only spot available for us to park was handicap parking, that they gave us permission to park there. I felt bad for parking there.

The rooms were updated, clean and comfortable. The waterslide was a fun bonus, though the hottub could have had better jets. The breakfast was great with eggs, sausage, pancakes and waffles. The coffee / coffee creamer selection was nice. The staff kept things clean and well stocked. It was a nice stay (at a great price)!

Clean and updated hotel — with an amazing pool with a slide. The only downfall was the beds, while they were okay, they definitely could have been newer /softer. Overall, a great choice at the right price!

Service was exactly how it needed to be for an overnight stay. Nothing was horrible.

We were there for a youth baseball tournament. The front desk made it very difficult, and seemed grumpy about the adults trying to find a place to enjoy a few beverages. They seemed annoyed about everything we asked for. Nice pool area for the kids though.

The suite was clean and bright. The lobby was very nice. The pool, hot tub and kids play area were very nice. I would highly recommend this facility to visitors to the area.

We have had to stay there twice due to our house being worked on and have enjoyed our stay. Front desk is always helpful and kind. Rooms are very clean. The breakfast is from 6am to 10am and always fresh and warm.

Good If… you want to be overcharged $20 from what you were quoted an had an email confirmation to prove. Good if… they checked you out early on accident. Good if you have older kids. The guests were running around and literally screaming until 10:30pm. The pool is fun, nice area for small kids. Except for the older kids who were unnecessarily using it. If I had older kids it would be fun. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was crowded. Not going back.

Pool area was a nice set up. And morning with breakfast at pool side was relaxing. The room was very strange. Extra old TV stand left in corner, no fridge, the bed was crazy wobbly. The space saver fold up bed frame was creepy.

I have never had a better experience than I did the AmericInn in Shakopee! Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly & helpful. I can't wait to go back. My kids had a blast in the pool & the breakfast was awesome!

I received a cb later this afternoon from Heather who was very helpful. She explained the mix up about the credit card. I was also advised that if I needed the additional hold released to give my bank a call n three way them in for the authorization code to release the hold. I was also rewarded for my inconvenience and will say I would happily recommend this hotel.

Nice stay. Couple of issues though with maintenance items in the room. Also numerous birthday parties in the pool area and never any pool towels available. Overall happy with the stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

Rooms were clean and hot breakfast was a nice touch. But there were problems with other guests. Cops called and the people were still not asked to leave so they could cause more problems. They counter help was either extremely helpful or rude and useless. No in-between. Experience and stay was both great at times and horrible. Probably could use more attention to detail.
