Wonderful hotel, beautiful rooms, and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. They will help you get the ferry to Mackinac Island and recommend where to eat. Also a great price. We will definately be back and stay at the Boardwalk Inn.

Stayed for two nights and it was wonderful! Managers are great couple that made it inviting… feels just like a B&B cute located close to restaurants and ferry docks for Mackinac island. Great nightly price would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Loved loved loved our stay at the Boardwalk Inn! Such a cute hotel with so much history! Breakfast was simple, but we didn't pick the hotel based on what they served for breakfast. Super close to the ferry to Mackinac island =)

These owners went above and beyond for us. We were traveling from Idaho by way of Detroit and arrived later than expected. They provided a way for us to enter the Inn and follow-up with finalizing our bill in the morning. Our room was quite large and provide us with all the amenities we needed.

We stayed here at the very end of the season. Beautiful, charming, and quiet. Our room was clean, and the water was hot. The whole hotel is rich in history and you can see old hotel registers on display, and an old telephone switchboard. Coffee is on at 6:30 am. Breakfast, which is included, consisted of bagels, English muffins cold cereals, milk and orange juice. There are games and cards available to use as well as a little library of books to read on your down time. Jim was a wonderful host. He even made sure we had towels to wipe down the bike before we left. Very reasonably priced rooms with Excellent service. We will definitely stay here again.

This place is a no frills motel. The front desk was responsive and accommodated our request. Room was comfortable with all necessary items. I just wish they had soft pillows too. Plenty of plug points and quiet rooms. Breakfast here is very basic so moat guests may not eat here.

Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but it did the trick. The owners were extremely helpful when I needed to find another room for the following night and they were booked up.

This place is quaint & historical. And the view out our window of the boardwalk was priceless. Hostess & host very friendly and inviting. Loved it!

Wonderful quint hotel. The rooms are lovely and clean. The managers great. Location is perfect in the middle of the. Take time to walk the boardwalk and visit the shops and museums. You will enjoy yourself.

The Boardwalk Inn was a convenient overnight stay prior to our travels to Mackinac Island. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The provided breakfast was also convenient but nothing spectacular. The rooms were very spacious. I deducted a star because the mattress was uncomfortable.

Loved it! Old school hotel downtown! Great place to stay before going to the island. Not great for kids but way cool of you appreciate history.

The hotel itself was fine. Clean, quiet. The "breakfast" was not what other reviews reported. Cold cereal, instant oatmeal, white bagels, white english muffins, "coffee". The thought was nice, the quality was not.

We love the Boardwalk Inn and have been coming here for almost 10 years. You are greeted like family. Rooms are clean and well kept thanks to the owners. It is the BEST place to stay while in St. Ignace.

THE GOOD: Nice big old Inn, convenient downtown location which is very handy, clean enough rooms. THE BAD: The air conditioner unit next door was so noisy and rattling the walls making it impossible to sleep all night. Owners did not show any concern about our complaint. A customer wants to know they are valued, and unfortunately at this establishment we were the least of their priorities. FINAL WORD: I do not recommend. ~ Roger Dodger's Reviews :).

My husband and I stayed here in Oct 2006 for one night before going over to the island to stay. The place was quaint, spotless, quiet and just what we needed. We really enjoyed our stay.
