Great location, rooms and service.

I had an okay expierence. The room was very clean and I had lots of room, its almost like an apartment. I called and reserved a room about an hour before I was going to arrive. The only downfall was when I went to check in, the receptionist claimed they were switching over from the day schedule to the night schedule… whatever that means. I sat in the lobby for about an hour before I was able to get into my room.

The rm was very nice and clean. The cable sufficed. Rate was reasonable and I was able to get a late checkout.

Unexpectedly budget friendly and well thought after suites. Well mannered, friendly staffs. Near the convention center. All suites have kitchenett equipped with necessary cutleries, pots and pans, plates and bowls. Dish washer, cook tops, full sized fredge with ice maker. Stone surface counter tops. Wall mounted TV. Wifi is also included. Iron, hair dryer. Gym, BBQ area, laundry facility is on site as well. I really enjoyed the stay.

It is in a central location, not far from shopping centers and restaurants. The rooms are of adequate size and clean. Employees are always willing to help.

I thought I was going to have a relaxing night away. No such luck. My original reservation was lost, and could not be found even though I provided the confirmation email, confirmation number, and itinerary ID. Instead of charging me for incidentals, I was charged for an ADDITIONAL (downgraded) room and incidentals. After about an hour of waiting in the lobby I decided to take the smaller room instead of waiting because I was so tired. Once I settled into bed, I got an email from the front desk letting me know that I "was right" and my original reservation had been located. I was too tired to do anything else. I just wanted to sleep in. But… Apparently, that's too much to ask for as housekeeping barged I to my room at 8am. EIGHT AM! Are you kidding me? I let the morning shift front desk clerk know that I'd been awaken by housekeeping at 8am and she expressed her frustration because she always has to tell the housekeeper that check-out is at 12. And remind her not to go into the rooms until 12. Smh. Once I was awake, I decided to go into the gym. One machine was out of order but it wasn't so bad. I gladly checked out of this hotel, and I don't foresee myself ever returning. 2 stars only because the rooms were clean.

The rooms were clean and efficient. Was able to store and cook a nice meal for the one night I stayed. Access was easy and staff was friendly.

Laundry is free (however busy often) very nice rooms and really good area. You are able to cook your own meals which is always a great option! I would recommend this suite to anyone (long term or short term) I would of given this place four or five stars except for the staff. I had an incident where the shower steam made the smoke alarm go off (Which staff knows about but doesn’t inform you) and the phone rang and I jumped out the shower to answer but they had put down. Then an arrogant staff member came to my door to ‘for my safety asked if I’m okay in a less than sincere voice’ I said I am and I tried to answer the phone which didn’t ring very long and I’m all nude out of the shower with a do not disturb sign on the door (which I didn’t even say) and asked her why did it go off she said it was the steam from the shower (so she knew this was an issue without telling us) so I asked if she would atleast apologize for the f inconvenience caused (her response don’t cuss at me) I think it’s a beautiful place but poorly managed.

Stay here first and last and always. Sherry is a keeper. Front desk and the room was absolutely beautiful very very clean.

Very clean and elegant hotel! Staff was very nice and friendly and the cost weren't bad at all. I was very surprised with the room as well, looked very modern. Definitely will stay again 10/10

Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. I only stopped in briefly to deliver food to a overnight guest. The hotel was easy to find and there was ample parking. I believe there were snacks available to guests upon check in. I would recommend others to visit this hotel.

This hotel was decent, in a good location however a few a of the staff rubbed me the wrong way concerning my reservations. I felt they could've handled the situation in a more proffessional manner. Also, when asking for a request it was ignored on multiple occasions.

Location is great. Services are very friendly and rooms outstanding. Hihgly recommend.

We are 3 days in to our week long stay and I have. Been so impressed with the way the staff goes above and beyond to provide over the top service! This is our first trip with our 2 dogs and this place is fabulous if you are traveling with pets! I have to give a shout out to Jeremy at the front desk! He is on top of things here. He probably has had to re key my room everyday and he does it each time with a smile. I felt so bad that I was unable to keep track of my room key, but Jeremy was always there at the ready to respond!

Nice clean suites no frills but close to anything and everything.

Wherever I go, if there's a candlewood, I'm staying there.

First time at an IHG hotel in years and I was not disappointed! The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, the shower was great with plenty of water pressure. The hot water sometimes went a little cool but nothing that an adjustment to the temperature didn't fix, although maybe a bit too often. Internet started out just fine but then started having a delay before data was passed back and forth before each time I requested a new page. Sometimes it would completely timeout or disconnect from the access point. Though, because of the bed, I have to rate this place quite well.

Really enjoying our stay here! The room has a fully functional kitchen with pots n pans (I believe they all do — not 100% sure). Staff has been very friendly and helpful. There's a gym, laundry, a pantry (which has some microwavable food and other snacks that are easy to pay for). You can also borrow books, movies, and other small appliances for free. There's no continental breakfast and room service only comes Tuesday through Thursday. Neither of these things matter to be — less room service is actually a plus in my books — — but they may for some. All in all we're very happy. This is my first stay at Candlewood and although I don't travel much, I would definitely look into staying at Candlewood for future trips. For what we paid, it's been outstanding.

Nice room, but not a fan of walk-in shower. Should have been enclosed by a door. Water got every where. Shower water also did not get above lukewarm.

Very nice hotel neat and clean room with little cute kitchen area w/utensils. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was a good size. Dog friendly which I really love. Customer service was excellent and detailed.

The first night we stayed here we woke in the morning to our toilet not working. They fixed it right away while we were out that day however when we came back that night we had backflow into our tub. They changed us to a different room. While trying to put my 10 month old to sleep I stepped on something sharp, left the room and round my foot was bleeding. We went back in the room to find large glass shards all over the floor. Some of them had a lot of dust and carpet fibers on them as if they had been there for a long time. They were going to give us another room but at that point our baby was finally asleep and I did not want to move him. We also did not feel safe as the police were called due to guests out of the control of the hotel staff however it affected the entire atmosphere. They comped our weekend for us however the glass is inexcusable. The front desk staff were friendly and took care of our concerns however with violence from other guests they were quite distracted.

No daily room cleaning unless you stay more than 7 nights. Internet is very slow at most times of the day. Has a weird smell in the hallways. No pan to cook in their kitchen. Stove top has a timer dial you have to set or else your stove tops will turn off which has no warning noise when it reaches it's 30 min max time.

Should have done a little more research before picking this hotel. Thought this was the ihg equivalent of residence inn, definitely not. Has a smaller kitchen, no complimentary food at all (they do have coffee at least), rooms seem like they don't keep out noise as well, but the worst is the Wi-Fi. No Ethernet port to plug into, which normally is faster than Wi-Fi, and if you want to do anything online between 5-9 pm, hope you have cell service and a good data plan.

Good value. I'll never understand why Holiday Inn Express is $120 and Candlewood is $80. There is no way free breakfast and coffee is worth $40. The rooms are very nice, full kitchen, nice recliner, and a huge wrap around desk. While I stayed here some asshat was smoking in the hallway. The staff had the area cleaning and deodorized and by the time I left, 3 days later, you couldn't smell the smoke anymore.

Best place to work. 13 years strong!

This place is pretty ghetto—loud arguments amongst the housekeepers, nasty prostitutes stopping by, utter lack of customer service. Go to another hotel. Better yet, just don't go to Michigan.

Suites were just remodeled. Very friendly and helpful staff. The whole place looks and feels brand new.

I'm from Detroit. Recently rolacted love this place. Very nice customer service. Nice room. Will stay again on return ;).

Well furnished for extended stay. Extremely friendly staff, and very hassle free stay. I was there 4 months. Only complaint is that the place seemed kinda old and dusty. I started to become allergic to whatever detergent they were using in their sheets, which gave me rashes. But it's a much safer, quieter stay than Quality Inn or Extended Stay America. I would've rated it a 4/5 if not for the itchy sheets and dusty air.
