Very nice room, staff not so much. Checked on around 1pm. Had a 6 word conversation before receiving the room keys. The room was great! Bed was clean, bathroom was very modern and the room had a fridge. Would liked to have seen a microwave but oh well. Checking out was about the same. I had to hunt for an attendant to tell me the breakfast was over and again to get some coffee.

Great hotel. Stay here often with work. Very nice, clean rooms. Customer oriented staff. Very comfortable beds! Connected Johnny’s Steakhouse does one of the best breakfast spreads you’ve ever seen at a hotel. If you decide to stay in they offer a fantastic dinner menu and a nice bar. The bar keep us a fantastic guy! It’s hard to sleep away from home but staying here makes it easier. Additionally, they offer a decent gym facility, indoor pool, free newspaper, and a free first drink with every stay. Can’t recommend it enough!

Poor hospitality. Booked a room online for over $200 to have an enjoyable time away, only to find out when we got there the package we purchased doesn't exist neither do the offers that were included in the online booking. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again.

Good service, clean rooms and in a great shopping and restaurant area. The hotel is connected to a steakhouse/bar in thw main lobby. Great service there too. I really enjoyed my stay. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn on Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines. Staff was friendly and were helpful with getting us a new room. Upon arrival our room hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest. However, they quickly gave us a clean room after we phoned the desk. The breakfast buffet options change each morning — it's good. The pool and hot tub were nice. Didn't utilize the exercise room. Overall good experience.

Stayed here for a wedding in a king suite. The room was spacious and clean, and very comfortable. I wish there was continental breakfast, but it does have a very nice restaurant and the room kitchenette is very functional. All in all, it was a very nice hotel.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with a nice restaurant in the lobby. The only complaint is that the water pressure in the shower is not great. Overall a great place to stay and would stay there again.

Great Location — I’ve stayed at this location a few times and I’ve never had a problem. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the location is great. It’s close to Jordan Creek mall and several other attractions in West Des Moines. This would be a five star review, but the building is starting to show its age.

The hotel is super luxurious and very nice on the outside as inside… and also the service K provide is very good.

Very nice conference area. Is able to accommodate lots of people. Clean and stylish hotel lobby, and Johnny's Steakhouse is the cherry on top.

The front desk was super helpful. Silly me, I locked my keys in my room. Oops :) The fitness center had very modern cardio equipment. I've stayed here multiple times in the past couple years, and really enjoy it. Great location with a lot of nearby activities.

Nice newer hotel. Very good restaurant inside. I had a king suite that was upgraded… I had a bonus kids room with 2 bunk beds. The suite was large, plenty of room to spread out. The usual suite amenities, small fridge, microwave, keurig. If only I drank coffee, it would be great! I will have to start traveling with Chai Tea keurig pods.

I was here shooting a wedding. The hotel did an outstanding job decorating the reception area with linens and place settings and table arrangements. Food was provided by the hotel restaurant, Johnny's Steakhouse. I'd rate the food 3.5/5 (there was so much meat and not much else, but still good), however the hotel did an amazing job serving nearly all the guests (150+/-) in a very short period. Multiple courses for all the guests were server in under 20 minutes. They were also great about serving the wedding photographers and DJ at the same time as the guests, which is quite uncommon.

Very nice facility. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was not included but could be with an additional 5 dollars. I was told it was enough for 2 adults. Very clean. Beds were super comfy. All in all it was a good stay.

This hotel was very clean and accommodating. Very spacious rooms and staff was very welcoming. Only thing I didnt like was they didnt have breakfast for the guests that stayed there. You had to pay extra.

Service is always good and the room was clean. What got me was the water temp and the chilly room. Not the end of the world I know but I like to be comfortable especially when it costs so much to stay for one night.

Smack in the heart of West Des Moines. Any type of shopping or dining is within eyesight. Great low pool depth for kids… water temp was too cool though.

Clean rooms, helpful staff, great bartender! Quiet hotel, nice small workout room, great pool/spa area. Stayed here probably 6 times never had an issue. I wish they had a continental breakfast but they just have coffee and some small breakfast items.

This was an extremely nice hotel situated in a beautiful area. The restaurant located inside of the hotel was fantastic. I had food and drinks and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend someone staying there in the future.

I had lunch at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse. It was amazing as always. Never had a bad meal there. Consistently great. Thursday lunch special is steak. Get it!

Newer hotel. Very nice higher end restaurant. Friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Has kind of a weird entrance. Very convenient to gas, coffee and shopping of all sorts. Many other close dining options.

Hotel lobby is deceiving as the hotel rooms need major updating! Furniture and carpet need a complete overhaul, looked like carpet was from the 70s and not clean whatsoever. Scratched the entire night in the bed. The sofa bed smelled musty and gross. I sprayed it with febreeze and layered it with sheets and comforters because they would not give me a roll away bed for my daughter to use. Food for room service was overpriced and not worth it. For both breakfast and dinner, my kids found hair in their food. Overall this hotel is not worth the over $200 I spent for our stay. I expect better from Holiday Inn!

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and nice. Restaurant inside for dinner was great and the bartender was very friendly! Their breakfast buffet was also very tasty! Definitely would recommend staying here if you're in the area and will definitely stay here again if we find yourself in the area!

We stayed overnight and were very pleased with how clean the hotel was from the lobby to the rooms! The staff was helpful courteous to our every need. The pool and exersise room was just what we needed after a long day of driving. Jimmy's restaurant had a fantastic breakfast in the morning. They even had prime rib! We will definitely be staying again!

This was a nice hotel, convenient to lots of shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. I didn't use the pool and hot tub, but it's there if you want it! There is a covered drop off/pick up driveway which was so helpful on the rainy weekend we visited. My only complaint is that the front desk service was somewhat lacking a few separate times throughout our visit. Upon checkout, there simply wasn't anyone around, so we eventually just left.
