I would have given them a 5 star rating, but I didn't because the only complaint I have is with the price. Everything else is just awesome. Great rooms that are clean, the pool was nice, the people were just awesome, and the ice machine was on my floor so I didn't have to go all the way down to the ground level just to get ice. I didn't get breakfast here so I'm not sure what that's like. I would definitely recommend to others and when I come to visit again I'll definitely be staying here.

Service was great! The breakfast was typical of what you'd expect. My only complaint is the parking was full and 1 of our 2 beds was very hard. Bed had a down overlay but bed did not. It was like sleeping on a rock!

Hotel is very nice. Rooms are clean, could use updated TV's, but I'm not going to complain about such a small item. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great hotel… the facility is exactly what I have come to expect from Hampton Inns but the friendly staff was above and beyond your typical hotel staff. Also the location of the hotel is very centrally located and reasonably priced.

Clean rooms, nice place, but $135 a night is pretty steep in this hick town.

We stay here a lot because we are Hilton Diamond members and this is a good location for us. However, maintenance can be an issue here. Months ago I cut my hand on a nail poking out of the handrail on the stairs. I reported it to the front desk and they gave me a band aid, but it has never been fixed. I have a photo taken today, but I'm not sure how to upload it. Be super careful on the stairs!

Room was ok. You could see where they painted the room with newer paint and shipped a few spots. Ice machine on the first floor didn't work. Breakfast was good.

Rooms were clean. The bed seems a bit firm personally. The staff was friendly and helpful. When I arrived that evening there was a broccoli and cheese soup available that was delicious. The breakfast was not that great.

I was very upset when I inquired about staying at the hampton in, in ottumwa iowa while my family is on vacation. Once of the main reasons we chose this property is because of the very nice pool and spa and weight room, only to find out the pool and spa are out of order and the front desk staff informed me the maintainence guy refuses to work on it. Mr and my wife and kids took our business elsewhere.

Customer service was great. The TV size was pretty small for the room size. Didn't get the room we wanted, because the front desk lady didn't know which room had the pull out bed.

Great place in a weird location. Staff are awesome and made up for issues. DO NOT get a room next to the elevators!

Hot tub and pool were not working which is one of the primary reasons I stayed here. Had very inconvenient issues with the Wi-Fi. From which I was treated with disrespect (I could hear the shift manager in the back room mention I was"wrong"). This woman was also wearing an unprofessional t-shirt when I went through the lobby again. The curtains in the room were unable to close all the way so light from the parking lot was getting into my room all night. The clock was 20 minutes off in my room so I was late to my meeting the following morning.

Clean room nice bed. Friendly staff. But the pool was closed and they should mention that while we booking. Overall good place.

Stay a lot when we see family, rooms are good, service good, pool is open half the time, hot tub has never been open, overall good.

Pro: Clean rooms and comfortable beds and pillows. Cons: Wi-Fi failed every single day. Wired connection is slow as hell. Wireless is worst. Do not stay here if you need fast and reliable Internet for business. Also the elevator is the slowest on Earth.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean. The spa in the pool room had been drained and emptied so that was super disappointing. The pool was full of screaming kids think they were having a birthday party or something. You could not even here yourself have a conversation with anyone next to you. The fitness room was nice had some free weights and cardio equipment. Breakfast was like any other hotel a decent variety to choose from. I had heard rumors about bedbugs but we didn't see anything like that at all. I gave it a 3 because the spa being down.

Rooms are very nice and clean. Staff are extremely friendly. Breakfast was good. Workout room is nice and clean.

Really excellent Ottumwa hotel. Only not 5 Star because it's not 4 Seasons style. Friendly staff, building clean and well maintained, full cooked breakfast. Convenient to food and shopping. My family and I were very happy for 4 days visiting relatives. Would stay here every time.

My friend came in from out of town who I hadnt seen for years. He asked if I knew of a good motel close to everything. I suggested the Hampton Inn. He purchased the room and after supper, we spent the night talking about our youth and days gone by. The room was so clean and spacious we felt like we were at home instead of a motel and did not feel the need to go anywhere that evening.

The staff was friendly. The room we had said it slept 5, it ended up being 2 queen beds which was a bit of a tight fit but we made it work. It is very close to a grocery store and Taco Bell so that was nice. Hotel also had refrigerator and microwave in our room.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. Our room was clean and up to date. The only negative was that the hot tub was out of order.

Clean rooms. Beds firm, possibky too firm. Quiet. Room air worked well. Brownies before bedtime. Bfast showed more creativity than most midwestern hotels. A bit on the pricey side however.

Amazingly friendly staff, really clean, delicious breakfast, always fresh hot coffee in the lobby! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

The hotel overall was great, the beds just were a little rough on my back… Very clean, staff was very polite and the breakfast was great!

Customer service here is terrible. They do not put their customers first. They are greedy and money hungary. They dont care at all about my experience with them therefore they have forever lost my business and that of my family and friends. Be careful dealing with them.

Convicted felon drug dealer and snitch George Nathaniel works here so to be on the safe side stay elsewhere.

The Hampton is by far the nicest hotel in Ottumwa. The staff were very kind upon arrival and provided all of the information that we needed without overloading us at check inn. The room was clean and the bed was great. There were also a lot of pillows which is a must for me.

Was here for two weeks and loved it! Rooms were great; knew I was taken care of.
