Large spacious, clean room and bathroom. Clean linens and curtains. Counters and floors upgraded, but outdated furnishings. Our room was close to outdoor smoking so had a cigarette odor. Breakfast was good. Pool and hot tub maintained well and perfect temperature. Fitness center could use an upgrade but room temperature was nice and cool.

Excellent accommodation, good room size, comfortable beds… great staff and very good breakfast… will definitely stay again. My home away from home.

I was there because I was visiting Cancer Treatment Center Of American they were very accommodating it was quite but that is what I needed at the time. They had a shuttle to take you to where ever you needed to go. I would certainly go there again.

Great place! Big rooms, soft beds, great breakfast even fresh fruit, pool and hot tube nice, the whole place is kept clean. Friendly workers, next door to a beautiful golf course. Beautiful place to walk. 6 miles from the State beach park. Best place to stay.

Nice easy to get to hotel. Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Pool was large enough to enjoy. Pool room was hot, which is fine for swimmers, but not for observers. Breakfast offered the standard items but was a little underwhelming. We ate it the first day and went out the other days. It was nice that they had real plates and silverware. Hallways were hot. I'd go back though.

Quite and piceful hotel in a country setting. Near by Walmart, Walgreans and a cancer specialty hospital. Large indoor swimming pool. Laundry and shuttle service. 24 hr service by polite service. Large rooms with big windows. Morning breakfast included.

We stayed at the Lotus in Gurnee, IL. The location was beautiful with a golf course neighboring. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was nice, and had different options for each day.

This place is great they go above and beyond great breakfast coffee 24/7 not that cheap hotel coffee either they also have grills on a back patio a pool that's HEATED! a hot tub and the cleanliness is 110% if you haven't been here try The Lotus I guarantee you'll love it best Hotel ever.

Well maintained clean and spacious rooms. The location is awesome with a great view. Polite and welcoming staffs.

We stayed here for 2 nights while in town visiting Cancer Treatment Center of America. First off, the hotel is very clean, which is always my biggest concern. Check-in was very quick & easy. Unfortunately, our room was kinda far from the door and with having walking issues we asked if we could switch rooms to be closer to the entrance. They were extremely accommodating and moved us immediately. Staff gave us great recommendations for dining in the evening. All in all, it is a wonderful hotel to stay at and when we need to return to CTCA we will definitely reserve our room here again. Once again though, this hotel and our room was spotless upon arrival. A definite recommend!

Very nice hotel. Great service. Extremly clean and everyones friendly. We had a issue with the water in our shower… while they "fixed" it it was still not as hot as it should have been… so no nice long hot baths.

I stayed at The Lotus Suites for a wedding that I was a part of. The ceremony and reception spaces were beautiful and the staff was very attentive. The food at the reception was delicious. At the hotel some of the staff was ill informed about the wedding. When guests asked where to go they were told that there was nobody there by the bride's name. We asked for some extra blankets for the room and one of the blankets was disgusting. The continental breakfast was good. It looked like every room had at least a wet bar and mini which was convenient.

I stayed at this location because it is attached to the venue we were married at. I stayed in the presidential suite and it was very clean, had a nice kitchen, full sized fridge, hot tub, large shower, etc. Beds and pillows were very comfy. The only negative experience I really had was having the hotel send my photographer away, saying there was no one staying there under my or my husband's last name. My photographer drove to the location she was told to go to, only to come back and call me to find out what room I was in. I heard the desk staff in the background sound surprised that I was indeed a guest at their hotel. Alpana, the owner, is very nice and easy to communicate with. All staff I have encountered have been extremely friendly as well. They serve hot breakfast in the morning which was better than the usual dry cereal continental breakfast. They have some pet friendly rooms too which is super convenient.

The Lotus is THE BEST place to stay in the area, It's like home away from home. Excellent service! Honest, helpful & caring staff! Thank you, we appreciate all that you do!

I would have given a five star if the hotel had a restaurant, or if there was a restaurant within walking distance. The hotel is dated, but in good condition. The rooms and grounds are clean, the staff very friendly and the rooms spacious. The pool is fairly small, but does not seem to be utilized that much. We will be staying on our next visit, even though there is not much around as far as amenities.

Overall, I would say I definitely enjoyed my night at Lotus. My wife and I stayed there for our wedding night, and the suite they gave us was very well-worn and had all the amenities you could think of. The staff was also very helpful and responsive. My only knock would be that the air conditioning units in the bedroom and lounge areas weren't working quite as well as we would have liked. As a result, the room was very warm for a large portion of the night which made it somewhat difficult to get some decent sleep. Overall, though, I enjoyed the experience. It was my wedding night, after all, and sleep wasn't my main concern.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean but oddly laid out. They gave us a two bed room when we asked for 1, and they were barely any outlets usable near the king sized bed. The room was very nice though. Enjoyed my stay.

I stay at the lotus suites frequently, usually for an extended stay 14+ days. The rooms are GREAT, very spacious, always ALWAYS fresh an clean room upon check in. I keep coming back because the staff here truly cares about the people that stay here. They have always gone above an beyond to accommodate me & my family. Weather it's needing a ride somewhere near by or just a great recommendation for activities around town. You can really see how the staff here is not just "at work" they truly LIKE being there! I only stay here when I'm in Waukegan best hotel at this price point you will find, HANDS DOWN. -James C.

Was supposed to have a sofa and sitting area instead there was an extra full bed in its place. The "kitchen" is a microwave, mini fridge (that was off when we arrived), and small sink. Bathroom was very small for a suite, small enough that the door almost hits the toilet. And the doors in our room were hung poorly (rubs on the floor and almost gets stuck). Nice area though, overall not a terrible place to stay but due to the room description on the booking website I was expecting better.

Rooms were generally comfortable. Traversed through a couple different rooms during wedding preparation. All rooms we stayed in had more than enough amenities. Continental breakfast was somewhat lacking, but to be fair we got there 30 minutes before it ended.

The rooms were nice, but they screw up on sceduling alot.

We checked in late at night after a long drive. The front desk staff person was clearly stoned, but was reasonably polite. We were originally put in the wrong room, and the room we were given smelled TERRIBLE as though someone had been smoking in there for decades. The front desk staff insisted that we couldn't have booked the 2 bedroom suite online, that the system wouldn't have allowed it. I'm glad we still had our confirmation or we never would have gotten the right room. After we'd moved all our stuff to the new room we realized our "fully equipped kitchen" lacked all cooking vessels and utensils. We asked each day of our stay for these to be restocked and were told it would happen but it never did. All of the food we brought to cook for breakfasts and dinners went to waste. There was only one pillow in the second room and the front desk said they didn't have anymore. The continental breakfast was pretty poor, not very fresh and not really any options for protein. If you're staying for a long time and have the energy to fight them for what you paid for it might be worth it. We were only there for a long weekend and I'd never come back.

It was a great hotel! The hotel was very clean. The employees were friendly and accommodating. The suites were big and had two closets, a bathroom, a bedroom, a room with a sink, coffee pot, couch (folds out into another bed), and plenty of lightning. Complimentary breakfast was provided. The coffee was kinda watery, but overall I loved my stay!

We were treated like family. This is the best hotel to stay at and the service is AWESOME! The cleanliness is SUPERB! The housekeeping and staff are friendly and very welcoming to everyone as you walk in the door. I stay here for a month and wanted to stay forever… I will definitely make this my go to hotel any time I'm in Illinois. The food is great and also the price is worth it. I love them!

The lotus suites staff were very friendly and helpful as I was there staying as a patient at CTCA. The room that we were in was very clean and had a new room smell to it even though it wasn't remodeled yet like all the others. A room that I had requested was not available because another patients stay was extended so they offered the room we stayed in and brought in a shower chair to help or they offered to move us to a different hotel. We ended up staying there and had a wonderful experience. We hope to stay at this hotel when returning for followup visits. A huge thanks for the great hospitality wgile there. This definitely helps a stressful situation.

We were made to feel like family during our stay. My husband is being treated at the CTCA, and everyone is just amazing who works there. They go out of their way to take great care of you. Robert is so much fun and so caring. He came to see my husband while he was getting his chemo treatment just to see how he was doing and to make him laugh. Cancer sucks but we couldn't have found a better group of people to help us on this journey.

The staff was very helpful. We were there for my daughter's initial visit to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion last May. They have many activities for those going through cancer treatment as well as their caregivers and family. I really enjoyed the Thursday night gathering. They have an awesome shuttle driver who caring and compassionate. He knows many are scared and going through a rough patch with the battle for their lives. Cancer isn't a friend to anyone. And this driver does what he can to lift the spirits of the guests of CTCA and Lotus Suites. Our room was clean, comfortable, and roomy. Would stay there again.

Just recently visited the Lotus Suites and had a great experience. I stayed in Room 109 and it was very well maintained. I had no issues with anything. I asked for extra towels and they were brought to me very promptly. The staff was extremely kind and helpful with whatever I needed. A friend and I went on a golf outing on the course and it was lovely. Very peaceful and a great course to play on with a few friends. All in all it was a fantastic experience.
