The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were with a large group and they went above and beyond!

Stayed here several times and I’ve always been impressed by the service and the cleanliness.

An absolutely lovely little place! Right on the Sangamon river, with river view rooms available. Great place to stay, comfy beds, and a wonderful staff! And the pizza is delicious, I highly recommend! 5 stars!

It was lovely! The room was clean and comfortable. We were there for a wedding and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a nice lounge that serves cocktails and appetizers. Very quaint!

I haven’t stayed but have met in the lodge for pizza and wings. Great place to hold meetings and they offer a lot of community support when asked upon.

The atmosphere it’s so Cozy! The food was Great! The staff was Awesome! Perfect for when you need to get away!

We had a wonderful wedding weekend in Petersburg. Our guests took over the lodge! The staff was very kind and helpful the entire weekend! Even though they are the only hotel option in this tiny town they really go above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable!

Great customer service! Everyone is very nice at the front desk and the bar area. The lady at the front desk was amazing and helpful. She even jumped in to help do my laundry! Would highly recommend staying here.

Overall it was a good stay. I wish I could have had control over the temperature in my room but everything else was fine.

If I would give less stars I would. I left a drink in the fridge at the hotel and changed rooms. I asked if I could go back and get it. Lady said the room is being occupied as she was making keys for the room I checked out of. She made is seem like she was checking things to see if it was turned in as I watched a young girl at the desk drinking the same thing I left in the room. She was completely rude the whole time as well.

RiverBank lodge is a classic lodge feel with the amenities of a modern hotel. The restaurant & bar is inviting and cozy.

The hotel was very unique. There was a continental breakfast. The rooms were quiet. Some of the decor was a bit outdated but a very nice small town hotel.

Beautifully rustic lodge close to New Salem Park. Nice evening lounge with great bartender and one of the best pizza’s I’ve had in a long time.

Went into the Lodge to meet up with friends. Had a few drinks and a light dinner. The service was great and the food was yummy!

This place has the best Pizza in town. They are not fast, and sometimes they are understaffed. But, it's worth the wait.

Cozy, laid back atmosphere. Feels like you're staying at the family cabin. Staff friendly & helpful. My first floor room was fine & had a great view of the Sangamon River (very low water level now). However, others in my party complained of little or no hot water or heat in their rooms during the extreme cold temperature weather outside. Staff tried to remedy each situation.

Friendly and very helpful staff except for the bartender. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the lodge is beautiful. We will definitely go back. The only downsides are you can't control the temperature of your room or open the windows and there was a railroad track about 20 feet from our window. We got excited thinking the air had come on. Nope, just a train.

Hot water runs out quickly in the morning, no irons in the room, numbering system for the rooms is quirky at best, continental breakfast is lacking, poor WI-FI in rooms, TVs are from the year 2000, good pizza in the bar though.

Friendly atmosphere and staff. Bar has a good variety and makes pizza and some fried food. Lodge has many comfortable setting areas, a gambling room, conference rooms, and bar seating.

The staff seemed nice, they helped us as needed. The rooms are clean but very basic with no outside facing windows. Very basic place, okay for a night's stay. My evening was ruined by crappy kids running down the hallway at 9 pm (I needed to sleep between 3pm and 11pm) then slamming doors, running water, etc etc all which can be heard through the paper thin walls — I slept pretty damnes good up until that time. I can't complain for a budget hotel but the budget people at 9 pm can go to hell.

I will come back to this lodge. The staff was very nice and helpful with our needs. They updated our rooms, let us pick the ones we wanted. The pizza in the lounge was very good with a thin crust. Couldn't ask for more.

Last weekend we had relatives come to see all the Lincoln sites. We put them up at RiverBank Lodge since we were starting early at New Salem. The two rooms were excellent and real cozy. They liked that there was a bar/eating place that had great pizza.

Place is amazing. Rustic feel in a small town.

Rooms are spacious (2 bed anyway) place is outdated and way overpriced 5 days with a roll away was over 450 way to expensive for a extended stay without the amenities of an actual extended stay food wasn't great upstairs at the bar either overall I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

I have stayed here twice now. The rooms & bathrooms were so clean. The staff was so helpful and pleasant. The price is good. My daughter and grandson live 3 blocks from the lodge. The whole town is quiet clean just a nice small town. Must try the Homemade bread at Restaurant across the street.

We had our monthly meeting at the Lodge this time. We used the banquet facility in the basement. It was a nice space with a kitchen area to put out snacks we brought. We also purchased some of the yummy pizza prepared upstairs and paired it with some beverages also for sale in the bar area.
