Absolutley wonderful experience. Hotel staff very friendly. Very clean nice rooms. 3 restaurants within walking distance a nd a convenient store! Best hotel stay in years!

Very nice and accommodating place. I am considering booking this hotel for my next function. The room I visited was one of the nicest rooms I have seen in such a long time.

This hotel is fantastic. It is very much different than others, as it has a lodge theme. I travel a lot and stay at different hotels. It was definitely refreshing to see something different. The staff is fantastic. They are professional and friendly. I would highly recommend!

The hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms were good size. They have an indoor / outdoor pool that was relaxing. The hot tub was also relaxing. Breakfast the next morning wad good and the staff was very friendly.

Sigh… This place is a hot mess. Yeah, I get the nautical theme, but yet the rooms are outdated and musty. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. Like a trampoline! I understand they are in the process of renovating. Can't wait to see it. Breakfast had a fly problem… just really difficult to enjoy it, although it was one of the better ones we've had. There was a group of teenagers… TEENAGERS, in the pool & hot tub area, who were grinding and groping on each other. It was totally inappropriate. I reported it to the front desk, who said she saw the whole incident on surveillance. She said, apparently an adult checked them in and then left. She assured me that they would be removed. We didn't see them again. I don't have how much blame can be put on the hotel for that… Pool are needs an update. Patio was closed. Couldn't sit outside to dry off. I'd love to give them another chance.

Other than a grumpy staff person in the food area, great experience and clean room. Food was excellent in the conference room. Staff in there were pleasant and helpful to the many people in the group with physical impairments, requiring assistance with plate carrying and navigating around tables and chairs. Great job Stoney Creek.

Such a nice, quiet, quaint place to stay! I had reservations to stay at Stoney Creek on a recent weekend after driving 14 hours from the East Coast. As this was quite a long drive, our arrival at Stoney Creek would be late into the evening. I called to let them know we'd be running late, but that we were on the way. I spoke with both Grayson and Mark, who were both very polite and patient while confirming our reservation. Upon our arrival, Mark had communicated our situation to Eric and he had us all set up with our room. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. There was a little mix up as to when we'd be able to checkout and both Brian and Madeline were very understanding and accomodating to our needs. Such a wonderful staff surrounded by comfortable rooms, a small bar, an indoor/outdoor pool, and a hot tub. I highly recommend Stoney Creek and if I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to stay here again.

Very clean, very nice place, so cozy, I love the interior and exterior. Staff is kind and helpful. Sauna, ingrown pool that goes inside as well as outside, etc. Definitely family friendly. That homey feeling. Calm atmosphere.

A favorite place of ours to go, close to home. Little vacation away thats not too far. Great for those traveling as well. The rooms are all clean and comfortable. We love the rustic look of the hotel. And the hot breakfast in the mornings are GREAT.

Seriously! No refrigerator or microwave?!? I thought that was just a given in a hotel room. Went out to dinner and brought leftovers back and there was no where to store them. But hey there was an ironing board haha. No snack machine for munchies. The soundproofing is terrible. Hearing people walking around all night on the floor I was on as well as the floor above. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Staff members were very nice. Breakfast was good but where's the BACON?

Stoney Creek is a great place to stay! The staff is very friendly & helpful. The rooms are clean & very comfortable. They have a nice exercise room along with a indoor/outdoor pool, Jacuzzi & sauna available for use.

I've stayed here twice in the last year. The breakfast in the morning is nice. The people working here are very nice. We had an issue with our room, and they were helpful in fixing the problem. My main complaint is the pool area. Kids were going in and out of the hot tub despite a sign saying that children under 14 aren't allowed. They also allow inflatables in the pool which takes up a lot of room especially when the pool is crowded with people.

I wish this had a 3.5 star option. The rooms are up to date and accommodating. Clean, but I think my sheets had been previously slept on? The wrinkles on the bed sheet, looked more body shape, than just recently unfolded. The pool area is kind of lacking and for being February, I don't believe it is heated either… brrrr. So, if you are looking for a place to lay your head, then this is perfect. I will say there is good restaurants right in front of the hotel though!

Worst visit I've had by far. Management does not investigate issues properly and places blame and does not communicate issues well. Kids are said to be welcomed but if they make a peep to loud it's an issue. Overheard the maintenance man or something of that nature complain about all the kids and the noise. But no effort was made to stop the party next door to us. That same man, took my son's towel out of the pool area when belongings were right next to it. Apparently kids aren't welcome. Also my last visit there was dirty underwear left in the room that my son found. The atmosphere seemed to be nice, so I tried it another time, but after this visit, it's not the place for me. I won't be back. My family won't go back. Very disappointed in the way issues were handled. I do not recommend this as a place to stay, especially if you have children.

The room was nice and clean decorated really cute and rustic feeling along with the hotel which is decorated real cute and rustic too. Pool was nice and large along with the hot tub, was surprised to even see a sauna which most hotels don't have, kids could swim till 10 and then adults could swim till 11 when the pool closes. The pool even expanded outdoors and was heated so you could enjoy the outdoors and your swim. Breakfast was a nice 5 star spread breakfast they had a waffle maker with your choice to put in strawberries or chocolate chips or just have plain waffles (which I loved and not a whole lot of hotels have or even give you the option of), biscuits and gravy, omelets, bagels, sasuage patties, muffins, yogurt, cereal, and juice along with coffee. The staff was super friendly, they even had a 10pm-8am quite time which was nice. Loved our stay there will definitely be coming back have nothing bad to say at all about this hotel.

Absolutely perfect stay here. Beautiful room, delicious breakfast, great pool with a connected outside portion and sauna and hot pool. Blown away by the overall quality of this hotel. My wife is already talking about coming back and we haven't even left yet.

Great location, near casino and across the street from the wonderful Jonah's Seafood Restaurant and Oyster Bar. Rooms are clean, staff is responsive and pleasant. Decent free breakfast. Popular for pool parties, nice indoor-outdoor swimming pool. Also close to a walking trail along the Illinois River which we walk every morning when we stay here.

Love this place! Been going here for years! The remodel to our room was Great! If I had only a complaint or too. It would be with the shower in our room. With the colder temperatures outside. That shower area was absolutely freezing! Was like there was no insulation in the walls! Second would be with all the little ones birthday parties in the inn! They completely crowded out the pool! Making it very unenjoyable for my family! Also they crowded out the hot tub! That was only supposed to be for Adults! They Need to some how police who is using the pool and hot tub area!

I live in East Peoria so I am very familiar with Stoney Creek. The building and rooms themselves are lovely however there customer service is horrible. I recently tried to book a room and was tried very rudely by the guest service person and told I needed to figure it out on one of those sites like Expedia. When I stated I had already looked on there and not found the answers I was looking for I was told “well our internet is down what is your name and number and I will have a manager call you tomorrow” that was almost a week ago and guess who I haven’t heard from. Very disappointed especially since my daughter begged to have a birthday sleepover there.

Very nice comfortable rooms. Love the homey feeling. Staff is wonderful! I would definitely recommend staying here!

Looked beautiful. I was there for a job fair for Aldi's. The place has a fancy outdoor feeling with nice stained wood and just feels very inviting. Definitely worth seeing the place.

This is a beautiful place. The staff I talked to were friendly. The room was comfortable. There is a convenience stote and a couple restaurants nearby. I would recommend this one.

I went there to check out a possible wedding venue. Got pricing for the venue overall nice. The event planner was very nice and helped determine if it would be a venue we would like.

Lodge style facility. Best service by staff. They all want my stay to be great. Relaxing visit. Been coming here since 2001. Service is always helpful.

Really nice pool that transitions from indoor to outdoor. The decor makes it feel more like a vacation. Near a nice riverfront park. Beds were small. Not sure if the amenities were worth the extra cost. The large banquet room has a wonderful river view.

Cozy! Very accommodating and friendly staff. Right next to a harbor like setting on the river. A great area to walk my dog! The best seafood restaurant shares the same driveway. It's our new spot to stay traveling through Illinois.

Nice, friendly, and accommodating staff. Typical hotel breakfast. Small, but clean rooms. Common areas could have used a good cleaning. Flies were terrible! All throughout the hotel. Rooms, common areas, the room that holds breakfast was the worst. Maybe there was just that much in and out traffic. Hotel was sold out. In town for soccer tournament.

Rooms could use some deep cleaning. Wood walls had a thick layer of dust like it never gets wiped down.

Went to a wedding there that was outside and very beautiful with the river in the background. Spent the night. The room was very clean. Loved the renodked small bathroom. Perfect for 2. My only suggestion is add some pasteries to breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were excellent as was the wedding buffet the night before!

Very relaxing Resort Hotel. Simple bar. Swimming pool is indoor and outdoor with a swim through to go from one to the other. Rooms are nice and clean some have balconies with limited views of the lake.

We had saved up a free upgrade card from our reunion two years back and got hooked up with a really nice 'suite'. We had enough space for us and our kids to all sleep separately but close enough to keep an eye on the little one! The breakfast is fantastic, having several options ranging in health to hot/cold. Stoney Creek Blend coffee is quite pleasant. Very nice staff and easy to approach and talk to!

Decor is backwoods cabin meets a sailing ship. The front door has bears carved I to the wood in some interesting positions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't go into the pool, but I can tell the don't skimp on the chlorine from the smell of it. I attended for a wedding. The food was above average. The dessert consisted of a cheesecake bar with the cheesecake scooped into martini glasses. It was good and presented in an interesting way.

Very clean. During my stay we were issued a boil order. Stoney creek provided all guests with more than enough bottled water for the inconvenience. Staff was friendly and professional. Our room was very comfortable, and they even had a stuffed animal there to greet us when we arrived. The pool and public areas were excellent. We used a party room for a family event and had a great time. I love the decor and atmosphere at stoney creek. Breakfast was also great! I would definitely stay again, and most likely will next time when visiting family in the Peoria area.

The hotel itself was great. We had a lot of noisy neighbors, tho (not the hotel's fault, just a bunch of rowdy kids). The hotel is under exterior renovations, but the interior was in great shape. The staff was very nice and with the location being right on the lake, it was nice to walk around and see the boats. Overall, a nice place to stay!

What a lovely hotel! My family and I can't say enough about what an enjoyable stay we had. Super clean and smelled clean too… great pool… and the staff was fabulous! We really feel everyone there went the extra step in their own way to make sure that you are pleased and that you are going to enjoy your time there.

We went to look and learn about Stones Creek as a wedding reception venue. The guest suite was extremely nice. The reception room itself was a bit disappointing! So very plain. You have to spend a fortune to make it look beautiful for the night of the reception. Bummer.

Invited guest to a wedding. Originally was outside but moved inside because of heat. Very nice room. Food was good. Not great, but good. But there staff was above and beyond expectations. From keeping drinks filled to food prep. Attentive and friendly. Couldn't ask for more.

Very nice hotel. Staff is professional. Giving it 4 stars. Negotiated a $69.00 a night stay with Sales Mgr. General Manager did not want to honor it. But did. But all in all. I would recommend. Might over promise and under deliver. But I am sure that can be corrected. Will come down on price.

Unique interior (at least for me) with decent rooms. Love the location as you can walk next to the lake. Breakfast is okay and has a working gym & good pool. Was able to sleep well but the shower pressure is not the greatest.

I've been going to this hotel since I was a kid and I've never had any problems. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary last week and everything in the room looked nice, even the toilette paper was folded fancy. The people at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful.

Room was a little small, the stay was pleasant overall. The room was a little dimly lit, bathroom was small but big enough to work with. Soft pillows, not very many outlets in the room. Breakfast was a little lacking of protein, but satisfying selection of carbs and drinks.

We stayed the night to get a break from home. My husband, and two girls ages 5 and 2. We enjoyed the pool very much! The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Our room was a suite with a fireplace. Our experience was a really good one and would tell everyone to check it out for a unique experience! :)

We chose a king room with whirlpool. Excellent experience. Everything was clean and neat. That atmosphere is fun and rustic. The staff was friendly.

Went to Shorty's Bluegrass Festival and both the festival and hotel were great. Everyone working there was very nice. Also stayed there in the past and had Christmas parties there and it's always been great!

Super cute hotel. Wonderful friendly staff. Absolutely love the no kids after 10:00pm rule in the pool & hot tub area. That really made for a nice time. The room was clean & had a fridge & microwave. It was very nice. I came on a romantic getaway but plan on bringing my daughter back to show her an interesting hotel. She's going to love the indoor/outdoor pool!

First half hour there we were wowed! Hotel was very clean and staff very hospitable. Kid friendly, will definitely return! Oyster bar across the street walking distance, what more could you ask for.

Stoney Creek as a hotel was nice, but is advertised at too high a price for what you get when you stay there. It has a cute comfy Northwoods feel. The internet was down for our first night, which was inconvenient as we needed to finish up some details for a wedding the next day (the bride to be was staying with us in our room). The young girl at the front desk seemed uninterested in being kind and she was not helpful with the internet problem, but everyone else we talked to after her was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I'm glad we stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the wedding reception, but I don't think I'd recommend it to others unless they get a discounted rate.
