It had already a pretty long day of traveling when we arrived at the Hampton Inn in Jacksonville, IL. The nice lady behind the front desk welcomed us and not only quickly got us to our room, but also explained
everything the hotel had to offer. She spoke very highly of their complimentary breakfast. And it lived up to all her hype. She pointed out the indoor pool and that too was fantastic. The hotel also had a workout room. It was not very extensive, but had enough machines… and a television. That was all I needed. The rooms were clean and spacious. As were the bathrooms. The big comfortable beds did not take away from the space of the room. I have always been a fan of the Hampton hotels and the Jacksonville, IL. Hampton Inn did not disappoint.

Our family just had a fantastic overnight at this inn. All personnel from the front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast room helpers were great and very accommodating. With a wedding group and softball players, they were still able to give individuals top-rate attention. All areas were clean and in excellent condition.

The all the staff was great. The signs at the entrance of Morton St need to be much more visible. I drove past the entrance once. And the heater for the pool needs to be fixed. I tried to swim once. Nearly froze. Not pleasant. Otherwise, a nice stay.

Location was great, we were 2 blocks away from the campus, the room was great everything looked very clean along with the service the only thing that bug me is we seen a few beetles but other than that we had a great day!

Have stayed here maybe 30 nights total. All the rooms smell like wet dog. Literally wet dog. I have no idea what it means, but there you go. Otherwise it's a mid-2000s Hampton Inn. Same… everything, so however you feel about Hampton Inn, that's how you'll feel about this one. Some rooms do have shower stalls instead of tubs, and I suggest those. Staff is reasonably friendly. Can't complain. Location is fine if you have to be in Jacksonville, Illinois.

I have stayed here often and enjoyed it. The only undesirable change was the lack of fresh fruit at breakfast. The rooms were cozy as usual.

Stayed here for a baseball tournament. Service was fantastic. Room was clean. Free breakfast was great. My only complaint is that there was signage in the pool area for a whirlpool/hot tub, yet they did not have one. I was looking forward to a soak after being out at the cold ball field for several hours.

Nice room. A bit pricey though for this town.

No longer have hot tub though website and app say they do. Pool closed. Very poor service from manager. When asked why it wasn't listed or at least red lined on app she simply said we could check out and go somewhere else. No apologies or anything. Tv did work in our room either. Hotel needs an overhaul and a bit of management training. Not the kind of service and property we have become accustomed to as double diamond members.

If your staying in a hotel in Jacksonville, Illinois, you want to stay here. This is a average, decent Hampton Inn. Staff is acceptable, rooms are fine, and if you've got to be "in town" this is the best location. If you're just passing through there are hotels at the I-72/U. S. 267 interchange, and those are okay. But I prefer this Hampton if I've got to be in Jacksonville.

Entire staff here went above and beyond expectations. Very clean hotel and the friendliest staff! 5 stars!

This place is very clean, the breakfast has a healthy variety, there is coffee available all day and when there was an ice storm the other night there were cookies in the lobby for the kids and hot cocoa. My mother was able to leave her car in the lot while I took her to Springfield without additional cost.

Nice rooms. Decent breakfast. They got our reservation messed up for adjoining rooms and stated we only booked one, but fixed it rather quickly… However we did not wnd up getting adjoining rooms as we initially requested.

Staff was very helpful and the room and amenities were excellent.

Great! Breakfast was nice, housekeeping was good, and beds comfortable. Hot water in shower wasnt great, pretty small.

The hot tub was out of order and the pillows weren't very good, but the breakfast had a wide selection. I was also scared of the loud noises of the elevator, it seemed like it would break at any moment. We took the stairs after bringing up our luggage. It was okay for $100 for one night.

Rooms are on the small side and the fan on the AC unit kept turning on and off the option to let the fan blow continuous would not work. Bed comfortable, bath lines adequate. Bathroom was huge compared to the room. Wi-Fi was slow but worked — area internet phone connections were poor. At night the help is lean and is often off doing work away from the desk.

Convenient location, comfortable room. Room had a walk-in shower, which we prefer, instead of tub and curtain. Breakfast was typical — we could find something to eat, but would have liked more.

Friendly staff and a great hot breakfast. The room was clean and updated. The pool was sufficient, but could use a refresh. Probably one of the best options in town for a place to stay.

Nice, very quiet, clean, good staff. Pool and exercise room. The internet service connectivity is below average for the whole area it seems. I knocked it down from 4 stars to 3 because of the internet issue they want you to buy 'premium' Wi-Fi at $4.99 per day which would be a free service anywhere else. Too bad because it is really a nice clean place. Beds and cleanliness are exceptionally good! Expect a great nights sleep here.

It was an excellent stay. The room was clean, breakfast was great but the best part was Angie. Angie works the front desk at night and she went out of her way to help me fix an internet issue. She made my stay.

Awesome experience! Best hotel bed I've ever slept in. Night manager was terrific and extremely helpful. I needed handicapped accessible bathroom. It was perfect and so helpful moving around the restroom. I will never stay at another hotel.

The staff are amazing, very friendly people and the atmosphere was great. Rooms were very clean and they even have direct TV :) would highly recommend staying here if your in Jacksonville, IL. They have a great Mexican restaurant right down the road-Los Rancheros.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The facility is in good repair with nicely appointed rooms. The location is convenient to businesses and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was on par with similar hotels.

The staff is outstanding. I recommend staying here to everyone. I have a hard time accepting I have to stay elsewhere if they are booked. It is our home away from home. I will miss staying there when my daughter graduates from Illinois College. We even decided that we will just have to visit because we will miss the people.

Great hotel for a Hampton Inn, we had a big group and hung out in the lobby thew entire weekend.

Very clean room and comfy bed, love that they wash blanket/duvet for each guest! Plenty of towels. Friendly service. Angie at front desk was especially awesome and helpful, thank you!

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was friendly. The hotel is a bit outdated and the breakfast is just ok, but it is complementary. I recommend this hotel for sure, great location in town.

Stayed one night, room was clean, breakfast was very nice, our stay was very comfortable!

Came in after 10 and was still able to check in and grab some snacks from the counter, had to work early and coffee machine in room was broken but they had codes downstairs. Biggest complaint was there was no bacon at breakfast.

I stayed in room 217 at the Hampton Inn in Jacksonville, IL on 8/16/13 to attend a family funeral — got home on 8/17/13 and checked my credit card activity and the Hampton had charged my account $19.14 more than my $120.99 receipt. When I called to inquire about the erroneous charges, I was informed it was for "incidentals" What incidentals? I didn't even eat the breakfast! or use the little bottles of shampoo or conditioner! I did use the little coffee pot. Last time I ever stay at a Hampton Inn. My credit card was credited the erroneous charges. Good grief.

Room was clean — comfy beds. Staff was efficient for the most part, though not overly friendly. I'm easy to please, but would have to rate this Inn as just adequate.
