Greenup Inn Hotel

I didn't really care for this place. The carpet looks like it has been cleaned. The bed is hard.

My nineteen year old twin daughters were on their very first road trip alone together across the country, to visit family. They stopped tired from their drive and stayed at the Greenup Inn. From that decision on it was a literal nightmare! After just a minute or two of lying down she felt things crawling on her body. It was what appeared to her to be an absolute infestation of BEDBUGS. I uploaded pictures. I couldn't figure out a way to upload the video she took were you could see them in fed and unfed stages crawling all over the bed, sheets, blanket, and pillow! My daughters then call me frazzled as to what to do, and that's when I told them to get a refund and get out of there. It gets worse… The management team was absolutely cold and uncaring! I called and spoke with the female manager on staff in the morning to try and resolve the situation, and she yelled at me, called me a liar, and said "I was lying" multiple times! When I asked to speak to her director or an owner, she told me they wouldn't be in until Monday, and that I could deal with her! I wasn't even able to finish my communication because her behavior was so unreasonable! I felt totally insulted and demeaned and degraded by her treatment! STAY AWAY! Tell your loved ones to stay away!

Although we reserved a room for 4 people, there were only towels for one. I called the motel number and explained. They arrived with only 2 more sets of towels, because they didn't think I knew what I was saying. The rooms need serious updating. Although clean, didn't feel like it. The shower pressure was feeble. The room was shabby at best. You get what you pay for… I'll pay more next time.

Wonderful service. The employees really helped us a lot. Location was good, right off the highway. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy. AC was COLD! Would stay here again if we were going to be in the area.

Great place to stay. Ash and his wife are awesome, the rooms are clean, and the bed was very comfortable. They are remodeling and updating. I would definitely go back.

Very, very dirty and not worth the price, no matter how low. This is more of a rent-by-the-week kind of motel than anything else. These are sometimes fine establishments to affordably spend the night, but this place was just awful. This is largely because of how filthy it was. The room was suppose to be non-smoking, but had clearly been smoked in many, many times. After only a few hours in the room my clothes and hair smelled like stale smoke. Additionally, all of the surfaces in the room were covered in a film of dirt — even the nightstand and desk which you would think would have been wiped after the previous guest. The AC/Heater unit had a sticky dirt and dust coating — one that could have easily been removed with a sponge and some soapy water. The shower curtain had dark stains and splotches. This is not just the fault of the daily cleaning staff, it indicates that the motel owners do not do any kind of regular, thorough cleaning of these rooms. It was the kind of dirt you find when you move into an apartment that hasn't been thoroughly cleaned before you arrive — indicating that these are more "rent by the week" living quarters than "rent by the night" hotel/motel kind of rooms. Though I didn't feel unsafe, the place does nothing to provide any air of safety. The doors are just simple lock-and-key, no card/electronic entry and no deadbolt. There is a chain lock and I asked to switch rooms because the chain lock on first room was broken.

It's a cheap motel but it served our purpose late at night after our previous arrangement turned out to be overbooked. It's not pretty, it's not modern but in a pinch, it was clean, it didn't smell, the people were really nice and the beds were surprisingly comfy. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed but like I said, in a pinch…

We weren't sure of our arrival time but the staff was awesome. You get what you pay for as far as the state of the room, things are a little outdated and the windows don't open, but the beds were clean and very comfortable and the shower was hot with a good amount of pressure. For this price this is an awesome hotel. Honestly, the guy at the front desk was so nice.

I had booked a room through booking dot com. We were unable to make it due to an issue with a moving truck. They said I had 90 days to use my reservation after being hung up on twice. The guy who owns the liquor store is wonderful. The people who own the motel must not be that great. The dresser was broken the tub was disgusting. There were ants allover. There was a boil alert and nobody told the guy running it for them. They charged me $20 more than what I was quoted and it wasn't worth it at all. The sink looked like it was getting ready to fall off. It was very noisy and the shower curtain and bathroom door were growing mold.

It was exactly what we expected! :)

Clean rooms, awesome staff!

Greenup Inn also has a liquor store on the premises. The selection is great, prices reasonable and the staff is very friendly.

The room had a royal pine scent to it, probably because there was a car freshener tied around a lamp. Also the chain door gaurd on the door was completely ripped off, wonder how that happened. The ambience was below the status quo due to a random wildlife howl right outside our window, which by the way wouldn't shut. The light in the bathroom had a mind of its own, either wouldn't turn on or would turn on when you didn't want it to. No cockroaches though, so one star.

My husband Gaylon stayed here while working in a town near by clean rooms quiet. Able to park right in front of door to room everything is within a block eating gas little store. Very quiet at night. Very well priced And most of all Ash was so polite and helpful that the next time he works in the same town or in the area we know where we are booking a room.

Owners are friendly and helpful. Clean and quiet rooms. Best value for price. Have stayed there often over the last several years. Recommend it. We stay there when we mx race at Lincoln Trail Motorsports. Fixtures are a little outdated but I know they are remodeling and making many improvements. Would like to see Wi-Fi added. Keep up the good work Ash.

For the price this may be one of the best rooms I have stayed in. The front desk was very polite and the room was clean and in great shape. Easily said I will be staying here again if I come back through the area.

Stayed during the Moonshine Lunch Run. Clean rooms, nice owners/manager, quite, and nice folks staying at the Inn. Would stay at Greenup Inn again at next Moonshine Lunch Run.
