Great Price, good clean room, the owners are wonderful people who go the extra mile to make your stay stress free and accommodating. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling on I 57 looking for a good nights rest.

This is now one of my favorite Motel 6 locations. I had an enormous room in the single-story annex with parking right outside the door and plenty of grass in a park-like area with trees just across the driveway, which was extra-nice for the dogs. My only minor inconvenience is that the towels were a little shabby, otherwise this room was quite nice as far as Motel 6 locations go.

We stayed here recently and was really Impressed with the updates that has been made here lot nicer and roomer rms. Moderaly priced we would stay here again. The staff was very nice and helpful.

This Motel 6 needs a lotta work on the cleanliness side. The floor was not carpeted, which is fine & dandy but… it still should be clean. Was so sorry when I spilled water & wiped it, I thought, "WOW, Why… the towel was black with dirt! " The pillows provided… well, I have one suggestion. Call Mike, the pillow guy, you're gonna need to buy some new pillows "! The only reason I have this place 2 stars was because I was close to home and slept! I finally slept through the night! The bed was very uncomfortable. I suggest… New mattresses please. Other than that… what a great stay. Later.

It is a great stay for an overnighter. It has always been peaceful and safe. It is a great hotel for a small City along the Interstate. The owners are friendly and pleasant!

Decent clean room, fair price, within walking distance of several fast food places and fuel stops. Truck parking onsite for 5 or 6 trucks, lots of other spots across the street.

While the room is nice the room we got was very cold. Turned the heater on and it did not work.

Everything was great. I only wish that complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and lotion would be provided in the stay instead of just soap. It was nice that the remote control for the television worked rather than having to be in a certain area of the room. Having stayed in many hotels/motels within the past year, the remote control for the television hardly ever worked. I always had to stand in a certain spot in the room before it would work.

The best thing about the place was the price. It is almost half of any similar joints in the area. The other positives are the clean room, comfortable bed and available mini fridge and microwave and a good Wi-Fi connection. Why only three star. Very sparse amenities. No closet (just hangers in open), smallish bathroom, no toiletries except a small piece of soap. No coffee maker and coffee in lobby was bad and obviously no free breakfast. Overall, it is good for what you pay for and a clean and warm place to stay. Update: I am changing rating to 4* for locational convenience. There are multiple gas stations, Denny's, McDonald's, Pilot (excellent travel center) etc. Also, the motel is within a few hundred feet off highway 57. The conveniences you realize when you land up at 11 PM in the night and want to get something to eat or if your gas tank is almost empty.

Everything was perfect, I liked the way they had the room set up with the little table, chair etc it was clean and fresh. Most motels don't have enough electrical connections for 1 item let alone 3, and you filled the bill.

I stay at motel 6 almost every weekend, and I've never had any serious issues. The first thing I noticed was the stale smell to the room. The bath towels were very yellow and paper thin, dead bugs on the floor, two moldy coffee cups in the microwave, when the vent is running in the bathroom ; it made the room smell like sewage. The floors were so dirty my feet were black. Okay, so I go in and clean (because obviously they don't) next thing, my dog starts breaking out in hives. So, I go out and get some benadryl as my husband gives him a bath. Guess what? Dog is covered in fleas. My dog is 9, and has had one flea in his life. I sat there and picked the fleas off, one by one and killed them. Tv channels are very slim pickings. You have a better chance of finding a channel selling sex toys (yes, it's true), than a news channel, or anything of decency for a family. Positives: the washer and dryer were very good (not taking fleas with me) Microwave and refrigerator in room Never saw any live bugs on floor, besides a spider. Close to McDonald's, burger king, dairy queen and truck stops Quiet for the most part, but walls are paper thin.

Spacious but musty odor as you walk in. Decent beds. Bath linen desperately need an upgrade.

I stay here whenever I come home. There is reason I do, they are always so very accomodating. I like the look and feel of the rooms. They have the sweetest staff. Always awesome! I cannot rave enough about them.

The clerk was very polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean. A very enjoyable stay.

Gilman is a very small town and we stayed there when we attended a country concert at the Ford County Fair about 20 miles away. The motel was fine. Nothing too fancy but for the price it was okay. It is very close to eating establishments and the check in was easy and the hotel personnel was friendly. I think the room could have been a little cleaner for my taste, but the bed was comfortable.

While vacationing, I just spent 2 weeks at the Motel 6 in Gilman, Illinois. Everything about my stay was pleasant. The location off the interstate was great for visiting the nearby towns of my childhood and the many close by eating options was surprising for a smaller town. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and great flat screen t. V. The owners did everything possible to make me feel welcome and take care of all my needs. This was a safe and budget friendly choice for me and no doubt, I will stay there again.

Most comfortable bed I ever slept in. Slept for 10 straight hours. Woke up at 2 in the morning like wow… terrible water pressure in the shower. Great flat screen tv, and cable.

Where do I start… it's more like a sanitarium than a motel. Walls are so thin, the guy in the room next to me may as well be IN my room. No breakfast. They claim they have morning coffee, but in 2 days I have yet to see any brewing. Like warm water, crappy water pressure, 1/2 of a roll of TP. 2 small towels and a wash cloth, and black hairs in the bed. I'm a redhead… not to mention deserted. I haven't seen anybody in 2 days.

Nice front desk. 4.9 out of 5 for cleanliness. Cute remodeled room. Great TV and great premium cable.

Clean, friendly and reasonable close to McD, DQ, BK and several truck stops.

The hooker made up for the pool.

Don't always need a pool! Great rate and over the top clean! All rooms recently remodeled to high standards. Included fridge and micro.
