Review of Motel 6-Elk Grove Village, IL 2*

One of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at, we were there almost 2 weeks unfortunately… When I made the reservation I rqsted a fridge, as it says to do, so when we get in the room of course there was no fridge & we were expecting to have a fridge, we had milk, creamer and other things that needed a fridge, and it was a Sunday when we checked in so of course there was no maintenance to get me the fridge, so I had to use a garbage can & fill it with ice to keep this stuff from going bad. The thing that made us mad the most, I must have went to that front desk a million times to get my card to the door reset, kept getting locked out of our room! They are very aware of the problem & instead of getting it fixed, they let the customer get annoyed & have to go out of there way to continue to go to the front desk. There Wi-Fi is filtered so on my husband's down time from work he could not play his xbox, which he was not very happy about! They have another door besides the lobby, but they do not want you to enter in that door, there is a place to put ur hotel card to get in but it was broke, we had our dog which is not people/dog friendly… we had to take her in & out that door to avoid any issues & we had to put a rock in the door so we wouldn't get locked out, had to constantly watch the door to make sure no one would remove the rock. Then they started putting notes up at that door, about you would get kicked out of hotel for letting anyone in the hotel in that door & you will receive no refund & there were other notes put up there too. The air condition didn't work, no maintenance on the weekends to come look at it, offered to switch our room, only it was on the second floor, we had way to much stuff to move, so we stayed in the same room & were very uncomfortable, sweating. The hallway was cooler then our room was. We did check out early & Dan was a great help in getting our refund. I would NOT recommend nor would I ever stay here again! If it would have allowed me I would have given this hotel no stars!
