The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms/hotel kind of stunk. The building needs to have a lot of repairs done. There were 2 outlets and one didn't work at all. The outlet that the ac was on was loose and not secured in the wall. The TV was out of date and had lines running through it. They didn't have the ac running before we got in the room and the room was over 90 degrees. The hotel didn't seem like it was in a safe area but that has nothing to do with the hotel, however… there was no security into the hotel. There was a deadbolt but the secondary lock on the door was broken off of the frame. The fridge didn't work well at all either. For what I paid for the room it was not a terrible experience. I think if they updated some things and fixed the lack of security combined with charging more these things would work themselves out.

They room are OK but not the best. They put all low class at the back. On a danger side then they have a lot of darksides. They have no phones in there rooms. The floor was so nasty and sticky. The service is not good at all. They cant run a hotel. I recommend no one to go there.

This place is absolutely disgusting, do not come here. The owners are also very rude! The room smells horrible, it looks like it is falling about and you can open the door to go to the next room over. Bed Bugs!

Fire extinguisher. Is 6 months. Out of date, safety latch to lock door is broke, sink won't drain, the safety bar for handicap is so rusted and just hanging there, there is no breakfast, Wi-Fi only works outside your room, and only allowed 2 rolls of toilet paper per week. The workout room is all old equipment that is rusted and broken. They offer no services.

The motel in the rear of building Studio 6 was nice and quiet. Granted you could hear next room if they're loud! Cleaning in room was not above standards. (, Mine). The beds have bed bug protection plastic on them do the sheets come off if you toss and turn! So you end up sleeping on plastic. The heat works great (Electric) but better open window or you'll wake with sore throat and dried out skin. Bathroom isn't heated, a little small no room to move about. Hot water takes long time to make it to you. Cooking in room permitted but microwaves make a lot of noise. Too much noise. Key cards don't always work. For Indianapolis they did a wonderful job, I stay again as a second choice!

If I could give negative stars I would. Only stayed for a total of 30 minutes and was refused my money back. There was a bloody tampon on my pillow when I entered the room. When I went to ask management to do something he told me it was mine and he would not do anything about it. After arguing about the situation he called the cops. The cops said to put all our cloths into plastic bags and get to a laundry mat ASAP and not to stay because they have bed bugs. The word filth doesn’t do justice for this place. This hotel is clearly only used for “backpage services. ”I don’t know understand how it’s not shut down already.

I would not give this place any stars. They had bed bugs, and when I asked for a new room, they told me that I had to take a picture of the bed bugs to receive a new room, when I asked for my money back, they refused. The sheets had visible stains, the chairs were utterly disgusting. Disgusting was an understatement. These people are not accommodating at all. I called the BBB and the Board of Health on them. If you're thinking of staying here, please reconsider.

Rooms were disgusting! The walls looked like they hadn't been cleaned ever! The first room the gave us wasn't even clean. There was whiskey bottles on the dresser pizza boxes on the table. The next room we got every time we tried to use the microwave it would blow a breaker or something and the TV and microwave would shut off. We literally had to fight and argue to get enough towels for the 4 of us to shower! They expected us to share I guess! I would never ever recommend staying there.

Management make this place livable and they do the best with what they have but, the place has several issues like the ability to use the workout room and the fact that the out buildings have power issues due to major need for a total rewiring.

Low security in doors and rooms.

Was better than what I thought. But was disappointed of the price. For Saturday night it cost 85 bucks. For that amount I could have went to a 4/5 star hotel but it was clean and quiet.

Once they have made all the renovations it may be worth the money they charge but currently they are hard pressed to provide the level of service required to justify there fee's.

Had a couple problems they got fixed immidiatly the Maid is awesome and the front desk female is amazing.

Much better than motel 6. That place is the pits. This is not the Ritz Carlton, but it is clean, people are friendly. They worked things out to take care of us.

Room 237 was funky rugs were disgusting and needed to be replaced ASAP! The gave us two sets of towels when it was four of us in a double room, they weren't allowed to exchange them but every two days! The cocking from the shower needs to resealed the water leaks down to others rooms! A homeless couple who's been there for 2 years now are part of their staff, neither has any experience nor licensure paperwork. They have faulty wiring which causes the lights and appliances to go out! My son got bitten by bed bugs there's roaches and my four year old found a mouse trap! The staff is very rude toward paying customers and they don't provide things that they claim to offer! They need to shut it down!

The Royal Motel Is very nasty, have bedbugs and roaches n there back building rooms. Cleaning is very poor, furniture is very very out dated, don't have clean towels to exchange, they have to get the ones u have dirty and wash them. Floor leaks from top into the room under u. Don't give out soap, rugs at very nasty with stains all in it, beds at wobble nd the rooms smell bad. The guy that fix around there is homeless nd they let him stay there if he do work, there are no real contractors working there at all nd never been. This place really need to b closed down. I will never go there again or send anyone there. Ppls need to report this place to the health department.

Really enjoy my stay every time I'm here. Hotel has great customer service, maintenance, and house keeping. I will definitely be back, and will recommend to my friends and family.

Worst place ever to stay! Will charge your card extra without any warning! They own the motel 6 behind it! Weed is all you can smell from the rooms! The pool had not been open for years!

Dirty bugs rude staff no breakfast Wi-Fi works half the time rooms to expensive old furniture crime ridden drugs prostitution has had murders happen inside the rooms in the past.

In definate need of remodelling… Our door was hard to get open… I did not feel comfortable in this hotel… I would not stay there again…

Save your money this place should be shut down. This place is falling apart inside and out the rooms are nasty. Walking into the room it has an smell the microwave wasn't cleaned, the beds were broken along the sides. Small holes in the wall. During my stay I seen roaches I have a few bites on my arms so they may have bed bugs had to sleep on top of my own blankets. There were drug activity in the parking lot area, a woman next to me kept knocking on my door asking for cigarettes which was suppose to be an non smoking rooms. And they have the nerve to say no pets which they knew I had with me I was told they was going to call the police because of my dog which is a four pound dog other rooms had their pets which were bigger… they need to call the police on their self or the board of health. SAVE YOUR MONEY… I rather sleep on the streets then go here again.

Great place not that far from DOWNTOWN. Stayed here when downtown rates were too high for me to afford. Room was very spacious, bathroom was clean. Could take few upgrades but was very satisfied for the savings. Worth the drive ;)

Was travelling to Chicago. Perfect location. Room given was decent size and well kept. Shower was nice and staff was friendly. Will be back on my way back.

Stayed here last night and room was Better than expected. Room size was good. Shower was great and location was perfect. No brekfast but I can care less as long as the room was clean.

Literally INFESTED with mice. Saw a fairly large sized COCKROACH crawling on the bathroom counter, bed bug bites on my feet and ankles. We had to buy our own mouse traps. We stayed for a week on the second floor. The toilet overflowed, they brought a plunger and had us clean the water ourselves with a mop and towels. NOT worth $235 a week.

My room was clean and Comfortable. Adequate for a Short stay. Very convenient to 265 Bypass and close to Racetrack.

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP… NOT AS BAD… Stayed here last night and was skeptical BUT had a PLEASANT night sleep and room was spacious. Was greeted by friendly front desk person upon arrival… very CONVENIENTLY located and I could get on HWY65 right away and BEAT all the DOWNTOWN traffic.

Discussing place! Bad bugs! I brought home bad bugs from this place! Guess what?! I'm gonna burn all my furniture and clothes; (. That place was the only one to stay in a busy weekend in Indianapolis… Looking for was to report them for bad bugs…

Do not stay here! The A/C was broken so we had to buy two box fans and sleep with the windows open at night to stay cool. The entire hotel is nasty and smells like urine. The sheets, mattress, carpet, and every other surface has mysterious stains on it. There's dust everywhere. The shower wall even had someone's hair still stuck to it. Please do yourself a favor and do not book this hotel. Once you do they have a "no refund" policy so you're stuck.

The worst place to be! Please people don't choose this hotel even if that's the last place to stay in radius of 1000 miles.! It is so dirty and smelly! Customer service also is the worst! Honestly I wasn't planning giving a review because I become so mad every time just thinking of that place but I just got home and I noticed all my back is being bite by fleas! I can't believe I stayed there even after I saw how bad it was… it was busy weekend in Indianapolis because of the Motogp so I don't have any other choice… I'm really speechless about how desalinated I am.

Horrible beyond belief! I have pictures and a video of the bugs crawling across our pillows. Run! Filthy and only 1 towel. … seriously we saw at least 7 bugs crawling in the bed.

My wife and I stayed here for one night only because Expedia (who we booked with) didn't help us the night we got there and everything else was booked for Race Weekend. The place is falling apart and filthy, the day we left there was a pair of men's underwear on the hallway floor that two employees walked past and ignored. There was a dude living there with two, not so friendly pit bulls. Hookers, pimps, drug dealers, drug users — we were lucky we weren't caught in a meth lab explosion. People begging at the intersection are also residents of the hotel as well as a terrifying number of plague causing bacteria, the bathroom door had fecal matter smeared all over it. Disgusting.

Don't not never go there bug infested it in dirtiness unsanitized.

Omg never go here filthy dirty smoke alarm in pieces only 1 towel for 2 people security latch broken not repaired window lock not there small dowell rod that was rotted to keep people out on the first floor we left after one night of course they dont speak english so there you are never stay at royal inn royal what a joke one good thing no bugs even cockroaches refuse to stay here so bad bed bugs left too. if I could leave — stars I would.

My husband and I were traveling back from our wedding and stopped in Indianapolis for the night. Our two dogs were with us and we were looking for a reasonably priced hotel to stay at that would allow our furry family. When I went inside the man at the front desk was talking on his cell phone. I asked what the price was and if my dogs were allowed to stay. He informed me that dogs were allowed and I specifically asked if there were any extra fees for my dogs to which he responded there were no extra fees. We decided to stay — he swiped my card and took my ID all while taking a personal call on the phone and giving me poor customer service. I went out to get the dogs and walked through the lobby, with my husband, past the front desk, directly in front of the man, to go to our room. The following morning we were getting ready to leave when the same man follows me out into the parking lot, asking me what room number I was staying in. I told him what room I was in and he told me no dogs were allowed in there and he asked who checked me in. I informed him that he was the one who had checked me in the previous evening and I told him, at check-in, that I had dogs. He started to argue with me saying that did not happen and that my dogs were not allowed in the room he put us in. He then said I would need to pay an additional $20 for my dogs.
