Situated near Wrigley Field with loads of good bars and restaurants.
Form Scotland, Lincoln Park is my favourite area in Chicago.
Feel like a local here, now.

I stayed here at the start of August for three nights. We had a great stay — the hotel itself is slightly older, but charming and full of character. The beds were soft and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and clean and the room was large, clean and well looked after. The staff were very friendly, I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Amazing location for this older but clean and well kept hotel. It may not be to everybody’s liking but this place will provide a nice night of sleep in a safe environment for as cheap a price for a hotel in the city. Basic amenities and working internet. Light breakfast provided. Parking is available for a fee ($35 as of writing this) or discounted parking at the nearby parking garage for $25.

A little pricey but very convenient if going to Cubs game.

Booked two beds… Only got one. Checked in late. Instead of fighting with it, just pumped up the inflatable we had asked for more pillows… When they were delivered, the staff member told me that there was a two person occupancy on single bed rooms… You know… Because them giving me the wrong room was my fault.

It's a basic 3 star hotel. Older but fairly well maintained. No free parking (I think $35) and spots in lot are limited. Location is very good. Close to lakefront, bars, restaurants, shopping, Wrigley etc.

Paid 300.00 with parking for a one night stay, the room looked dirty there was hot water for only a couple of minutes. Breakfast was just stale looking donuts. However the location was perfect for going to a game and a night on the town.

The cost compared to amenities is questionable. Basically, you are paying for location. It's a fine stay for me as a last resort. The electrical in the room was not capable of handling both the window air conditioner and refrigerator. Also, the water in the tub backed up excessively because of slow drain. But hey, it's an old building and charming in it's old Chicago glory! The continental breakfast is a charming touch! I mean, they have to make up for the nuisances somehow, right?

The elevator wasn’t working the second time went to visit a friend. But my first was last winter, the heat wasn’t working, the radiator didn’t even have a knob to regulate the amount of heat, well it didn’t matter because I think it was shut off. They switch me to a different room, I had to go downstairs to get the key come down and bring the old key… seriously? Not only I had to go downstairs 3 times… but also I had to switch my luggage and my friends to a diferente room, I wasn’t feeling well so this was a huge ordeal for me… for what it’s word they have doughnuts and coffee at breakfast and it’s fair price… it could be better though.

The location was pretty good in the area, although the rail was about a ten minute away. The front desk was extremely helpful to us. The rooms were small, but worth the price. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience.

The breakfast sucks, but we have the best room in the entire building and it's literally an apartment on the 5th floor so I cant be too upset.

The diamond in the rough! Who new something so perfect quaint and infinitely relaxing could exist in the chaos of a city the size of Chicago!? Well if you didn't think it possible to experience small town charm in the middle if a world destination city that never sleeps, like Chicago stay here and witness for yourself why it earned my loyalty after only a two night stay.

BUYER BEWARE! This hotel just wants your money. The front desk was helpful until the manager told us to leave for throwing ice out the window? We had been in the room for not even three hours and the police were called to remove us from the room. Not sure who threw ice out of a window but it certainly wasn’t me. And if that was an issue there was no reason to be kicked out without a refund. Honestly this hotel is like something you would see in a scary movie. The building should be condemned and demolished because everything still had that lovely 1940’s style look and feeling. Oh and I was charged a 50 dollar “service” fee for who knows what when we didn’t even spend the night let alone three hours. I wouldn’t spend more than 10 bucks to stay here.

Super old, hasn't been updated it seems in years, rooms are super tiny and cramped, the night desk lady is undually harsh and standoffish. They also have this strange policy regarding cash, where everything thing owed at check-in HAS to be on a credit card (deposit/incedentals & rate) but then u can later pay cash at check out. It's weird.

We've stayed here twice and would stay again. Staff is helpful and really friendly. Room is small but clean — great location.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very big and roomy. They are pet friendly and very respectful of your pets. Location is very nice. You have an abundance of stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Great Location in Chicago. This hotel needs to be remodeled to meet standards of other hotels in the area. Remove the decadent look and give it a make over.

This location is incredibly convenient! Close to a train station, just a couple of blocks from anything you want or need; Walmart market, Trader Joe's, lots of chain restaurants if that's your choice, and lots of local restaurants. The staff was helpful and polite during our stay, and the room, while 'cozy' was clean and comfortable. I will stay here again next time I visit Chicago.

Enjoyed our 2 day stay, breakfast could be better, but for the reasonable price, well worth it. The staff very attentive and caring. Plenty of places to eat and shop. We stayed in 2 different rooms, they both needed some work done. But for the must part, clean. We would stay again.

Fun little older hotel. The manager jumped my car on the very cold new years day — very nice! Very friendly staff. I enjoy staying here :-)

Great hotel. Yes, it's dated, "vintage" but staff is fantastic, prices are affordable, plenty of heat on the frigid cold Chicago days. Stayed here 3 times in 2017, always a pleasure. Will be back.

I love the Inn of Lincoln Park for its location to major attractions like Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park Zoo, Magnificent Mile, Lake Michigan and the boutiques of Lincoln Park. I also enjoy the warmth and comfort if the rooms.

The elevator had a permit posted stating it had failed inspection. A followup inspection was scheduled for March… 2013! The room as huge and my friend and I had our own bathroom in a shared room! That was cool! Reminded me of The Shining, though, and I hated that our guests had to be ID'd and a call made to give them access even midday. It was cool though.

The breakfast bar was literally 4 types of cereal, 2 open gallons of milk. A couple of donuts and juice. It was a little sad. Other than that, all good.

A good value in a great part of town if you reserve early. Building is older and ready for a rehab, but clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

There is a certain rustic charm about the hotel but I am not sure I would stay here again given a choice. My rating is actually 2.5 stars, not a full three. Why? First off, the price per night is way too high. The room was very small (which I can deal with) but the bathroom was hard to use. You had to climb over the toilet to use it because it was squished into the corner and behind the radiator. The room was unbearably hot. This was even with the radiator valve all the way off. The air conditioner did not help much even on its lowest temperature setting. I found some product tube under the matress too — someone lost it but it is obvious the staff never look under to check for anything. One big plus for me was the close proximity to the place where I spent most of my trip — it was a pleasant 8 minute walk away on Lakeview and the neighborhood was nice. Great restaurants, too. I will also say that the provided continental breakfast was very fresh and they had a nice variety of items.

Room was so hot unbearable. Window opened but no screen. To get in to bathroom had to step up. Bath doors hit toilet. Not good for 93 year old. Small small room. Coffee maker in room did not work. Not worth the price paid.

Tiny room, entire hotel smells musty & the “free Wi-Fi” is spotty at best & requires one to log in repeatedly. The “breakfast” is pathetic, fortunately there are many good meal options within walking distance in this charming area of Chicago. Also be forewarned, do not let your roommate flush the toilet while you are in the shower for fear of becoming scalded!

Nice older hotel, room was clean and good for a nights stay. Could use some updates.

Rooms were nice enough. Shower took a very long time to get warm. The front desk was extremely helpful and the location was great. Overall we had a positive experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

Our room was large and comfortable. The desk staff was helpful and professional. We requested a fridge brought into our room and they accommodated. The location was convenient for seeing Blue Man Group, Lincoln Park, and Wrigley Field.

Adorable little hotel. Convenient, though expensive, onsite parking ($30 per night, though they do offer parking at a garage a block gotten the street). Decent breakfast offering.

Hotel was fun and quirky. The breakfast was oversold as "Continental Plus" but was just so so. Otherwise it was a nice experience.

Outdated rooms. No mini fridge in the room. A short walk to bus route to Wrigley. Overpriced for the total experience. Open bar of soap left on the sink. The elevator space confining. No printer in their 'business center'

Perfect for one or two Nights. Those who have no special requirements have a central starting point in the city Centre.

It's kinda out dated, the only good thing is the location. The elevator is scary! Sounds like it's going to break down any minute. Veronica that works at the front desk is very rude. I had to pay almost 400 to stay 2 nights and then an extra 60 to park my car because it was explained to me wrong, and veronica basically called my husband a liar and said they only explain it 1 way. I won't be staying there again!

A pretty poor hotel with very tired decor. The European breakfast was virtually none existent. The fast free Wi-Fi was a joke and virtually impossible to connect to. Our room smelt damp and under the beds and furniture where large amounts of dirt and rubbish, finding. Amused condom under the bed was not a nice surprise. The staff whilst friendly and approachable didn't seem to care when an issue was raised. The Inn At Licoln Park could be a great hotel but lacks attention to detail and staff that care. I won't be returning.

A/C worked great for a warm June day in Chicago. Room was clean and the beds were comfy. Staff was helpful and friendly. I had a good experience.

Horriiiiiibllle! Don't stay here 7nless u reaaaaaly need to! The bed was uneven, the elevator didn't work, there were exposed electrical hook ups on the floor, the pillow was like balls of socks were clumped together and fitted forcefully inside, the water in the shower went from hot to extremely cold every other minute.

The rooms were clean but the bathrooms were very dated and small. Parking is a bit of a pain also.

Loved this hotel! By the time we left it had begun to feel like home. The staff is very nice as well as the rooms! I give it 4 stars only because the decor was kind of funny to me but did not take away from the experience at all. It is close by to the conference centers as well as shopping stores and restaurants!

Great location, close to the Brown Line and close to plenty of bars. The room is small, but that's how they made rooms back in the early 20th century. Could hear the room next to us though… that was a bummer.

Had an overnight trip to Chicago, looked for a room with reasonable rates, this place fit the bill. Would stay again.

PERFECT location. Went here in august. Was able to walk to a cubs game, walk back and stop in some nice bars safely at night. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Just because "there's no tv" or "its outdated" doesn't mean its a bad hotel. I mean, you didn't come to Chicago to stay in your hotel room all day did you? Its a room with a bed, and it was cheap. I mean really, you had bad Wi-Fi? Go out and look at the city like you came to do, not check your facebook every minute. The inn is Near a park, not too far of a walk to the zoo or the shore. Jin-Ya ramen shop was less than a block away too! The bathrooms were clean, breakfast was fresh, and room service was fast. The downside to this hotel: the parking. Very small on site lot, or covered parking a few blocks away. Will deffinetly make this my go-to hotel in chicago.

My Mom stayed here for the weekend over Thanksgiving and enjoyed her stay. Small rooms, but nice staff.

Slowest Wi-Fi ever! and if it rains or snows the tv/satellite doesn't work. I was in my hotel room starring at the ceiling.

This hotel is very dated and the rooms were small but clean just the same. For being in downtown Chicago the price was fair for what you get. The breakfast each morning was very satisfying and the staff very friendly and helpful. Because there were no refrigerators in the rooms I asked the nice lady from housekeeping if I may have an extra ice bucket and I figured she would get to it when she could but about 2 minutes later she was knocking on my door with the extra bucket. The fact that she stopped what she was doing to assist us was remarkable and unnecessary as we could have waited until she was done with the rooms she was cleaning. Very impressive! We stayed there from 9/23-9/26 and were grateful that the daytime highs were only in the 70's because the window unit AC does not help much and there is no AC in the hallways or stairwells. The elevator was a bit scary and 6 months expired on their inspection but we survived it. Overall, the stay was alright but not great. You get what you pay for and if you're staying in downtown Chicago you won't be in your room that much anyway so it's bearable for lack of a friendlier term.

The room had a terrible smell and was extremely tiny.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever stayed in. The bathroom water pressure was awful and the faucets leaked. Not a bad stay for the price.

I'm disappointed by all the negative reviews of this place. I thought it was great. The building is very old and they could certainly capitalize better on the old world charm of the building. However, the place is clean, the staff is friendly, and you can't beat the price. They don't have a lot of the amenities you'd expect from a more modern hotel. No fitness center, for example, but the staff kindly hooked me up with a free guest pass to a gym that's down the block! If your expectations of staying in a hotel is to be in the lap of luxury, this is not the place for you. If you just want a place to stay that's a low price, comfortable, and no nonsense, then the Inn at Lincoln Park is a good choice.

STOP! Didn't tell me there would be an extremely LOUD garbage truck 5 feet from my window at 6:50 AM. Then another one just before 7 AM. Front desk blew me off and said that is the way it is in a BIG city (and I am a New Yorker! ) While complaining at the front desk to the rude, arrogant manger, someone else was complaining that clothing they wore the day before was taken from their suite case! STAY AWAY.

If you're looking for a newly renovated hotel with spacious rooms and all the amenities then Inn at Lincoln Park is NOT for you. That being said, this is the cheapest price you're going to get this close to downtown. We booked a single bed room and got exactly what we paid for. The room was small, but what do you expect for the price? Lincoln Park is one of the nicest neighborhoods in Chicago, and this hotel is situated conveniently right across the street from a Walgreens and just a few blocks from the L train. It's also walking distance from Wrigley Field and with the CTA bus and train you can get just about anywhere you would want to go in almost no time. They also offer you $15 parking for 24 hours (that's about $10 cheaper than anywhere else you'll find in this neighborhood). We had such a great time our first night that we booked a second night at the same hotel. Our first floor room the second night wasn't as nice as our second floor room from the night before, but was still acceptable (especially for the price). They also offer free breakfast that mostly consisted of bagels, cereal, juice, and coffee. It's not the Hilton, but if you're coming to Chicago and spending more than a few hours in a hotel room each night you aren't doing it right! We plan on staying here again the next time we're in town.

Great hotel for the price. Rooms were a little small but when in Chicago, who wants to spend time in a hotel room! Friendly staff and nice free breakfast. The beds are really comfortable too! Within walking distance of the beachfront, museum, Starbucks, Panera Cares, Walgreens, and much more. I will definitely stay here again! Loved the Victorian feel.

Well we Checked in late last night. I will say this, the room is small. I will be back for more updates. UPDATE! — We are home from our trip to Chicago and my final thoughts regarding this hotel is that I would find another place to stay. It is not bad, if you are looking for only a place to crash from partying and shopping, but it is dated and it just does not feel the cleanest. Though I did not see anything that told me it was dirty, it just felt that way to me.

This hotel was a dive. There were cobwebs on the window sills, half-inch think dust behind the nightstands, windows that wouldn't open, and, to top it off, no hot water. They did have great TV, however. If it weren't for the location and the fact that there were no other accommodations available in the area, I would have checked out immediately.
