Everything was superb, from the convenient location, to the gorgeous marble lobby to the spacious, comfortable rooms and the amazing food = five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well it’s almost 11pm and can’t sleep because my hotel room is shaking from the wedding below. Staff failed to tell us it would keep us up all night. Called front desk and management was completely horrible. They do not care about there guests at all. Would never come back here again for 650 dollars.

Extremely late check in Alleged upgraded room with view of parking lot. As a platinum member of Marriott I would have expected better. Off brand motel experience at greatly increased price. Next trip to Chicago I'll pick a hotel that treats guest as valued customers not a number.

Great Hotel but the lacked a variety of food. Chicken wasn't done and noodles were not seasoned. Prices were too high for quality received. Room service, and pool were nice. Room was cozy. No window view. Enjoyable for Valentine day weekend.

No upgrades, no free breakfast for titanium members and no recognition for loyal members.

Parking … no concierge; parked 3 blocks away!

Despite checking in on the mobile app hours in advance, our room was not ready for check in at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. I was told by the front desk they didn’t know how long our wait would be. I was told it was because they had a lot of “elite status” guests request late check out that day. To my dismay, it came at the expense of myself another “elite status” guest not having a room well after guaranteed check in time. After finally getting our room, house keeping entered my room while I was in the bathroom. We asked for a do not disturb sign since our room did not have one, and it did not come. The next morning we had to ask the front desk again for one in person. After check out, I completed the guest survey sharing my dissatisfaction and got a lame response from management that they were reviewing their procedures, but no action was taking by anyone we spoke to to make up for this. I’m a loyal Marriott guest but will certainly not be back at to this location. Customer service is profoundly lacking.

The rooms are spacious, and put together very well. The internet can be a little spotty, and the view on certain sides is limiting. It's kind of lucky for someone to find what they want and have it available at the same time. For instance, the two rooms we have only utilize a shower and not a bath, which was disappointing. The service has been fast and responsive. The people here do well to take care of your needs within reason!

The JW Marriott is really nice. It's really close to a metro stop which makes getting around the city easy. And there are always cabs outside if you need one. The rooms are sophisticated and comfortable, though I found the hallwaysand finding my room a bit confusing at first. I would not suggest the bar food, but the drinks were well done.

The hotel was very nice. We were there for a conference and the facility was great. The location is good but not sure the best it you are looking for touring the city. Most of the staff was very good. However, our room went uncleaned for 2 days which meant no towels. We did let the know, and they said management would be notified but only after asking 3 times if we were sure the do not disturb sign wasn't out… which it was not.

Chicago is what you could consider a 'restroom desert'. Even many restaurants downtown don't have restrooms. Nor the many CVS pharmacies, or other shopping areas. But the JW Marriott does have some very nice restrooms in their lobby. We were so thankful that we were able to just walk in, use the restroom and leave with no hassle. Would recommend 100%!

This hotel has a great, modern lobby, and is in a good location, but once you get to your floor it looks kind of outdated. It's not set up really well, the hallways are very long. It is secure though, you need your key to get past a door into the hallway of rooms. There were no USB ports in the room, and the radio had a dock for an iPhone 4, so really outdated there! Good beds, really nice bathroom (the bathtub was glorious), and the service was really great for the one night we stayed!

Another historic Chicago building transformed. What used to be a bank is now a quite fine hotel. Florentine is an excellent restaurant on the property. Top notch quality, service and amenities on this property.

Thoroughly impressed with my stay at the JW Marriott Chicago property. Since I work for Marriott in high managment capacity, I know the work, details and commitment that needs to happen to make a hotel run smoothly. Front desk staff were very professional and knowledgeable. Accommodated my early check-in at 10am after early flight. Sleeping room and bathroom was clean and organized. View wasn't anything special yet no major concern. Located right near Willis Tower and several cafe's, shops, and sites.

Awesome location, just steps away from the L. Huge room (especially by Chicago standards) and impressively large bathroom. Beds were very comfortable and interior room was quiet. Appreciated the noon check out!

Excellent hotel in a great location in the Financial District in Chicago. It is within short distance to the Willis (Sears) Tower and other local tourist locations. The staff at the hotel were very courteous and helpful. Although this is a fairly old hotel, the recent renovations added a very sleek and modern look to the ambience. Plenty of amenities, including a well equipped gym and swimming pool. I highly recommend this hotel.

Really nice hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Only drawback was that I excepted the food the be better but otherwise I really liked this place. My room was really nice with a good bite of downtown Chicago. This hotel is in the heart of the financial district, and crazy thing, but they have the fastest elevators on any hotel I have ever been to. Definitely recommend.

This is perhaps my favorite hotel in Chicago. It's located close to the action on Michigan Avenue and has a number of good restaurants within walking distance. It's also located close to the theatre area, which is convenient if you are seeing a show. We love the Executive lounge and the pool and hot tub area.

We had a king room, the room was clean and well kept. The service was wonderful and everyone was pleasant. They even went back to our car to get something for us after we valeted the car with no complaint. We had a package that included breakfast from the Flourintine which was delicious. It was served in the room by room service and all the food was still hot and delicious. They then held our bags for us until we we're ready to leave so we could go shopping after we checked out. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will be recommending them and their guest park and breakfast packages to friends!

Great location! I stayed there few times and always had a very comfortable and pleasant experience. The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. It is more a business hotel. The bar has great drinks and service, the spa and the fitness center are very good. Overall very satisfied and would return soon!

I will stay at this hotel any time I stay downtown. You can't beat the 5 minutes walk from Union Station. My favorite thing about this hotel is the amazing bathtubs. The ceilings are very tall and help the small rooms to feel very spacious. A room on the interior courtyard might not have any City views, but I actually appreciate how quiet it is at night.

First of all my facial was a 10. The spa was clean, well stocked and maintained. There were these coconut almonds of some sort that were addictive. The shower was one of the best spa showers I have ever been to. It literally blew me away. So powerful and warm. I would definitely go back just to shower here.

Location was perfect, took the train right to Quincy and walked around the corner. Rooms were comfortable and Maria G. Took great care of us while we stayed there the two nights (Dec 26th to 28th). Lilian was the nicest guest services agent, she checked us in and placed us on a high floor with two beds even though we had only reserved for one. She also checked us out and extended our check out so we could stay a rest a little while longer before our flight home. She's just a pleasure to speak with and has a sweet smile. Great experience!

Had a very comfortable and pleasant weekend stay here. The location was great and the hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. It definitely felt like a business hotel more than a place I’d have ideally booked for a weekend getaway, though I don’t necessarily have any complaints about my stay, just maybe not the nicest overall ambiance. The hotel bar has great drinks and service, and the spa was incredible. The fitness center was the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel — very extensive selection of free weights and machines as well as cardio machines. Overall very satisfied with my stay and would return — if in town for business.

Great location, right next to Willis Tower and a short cab ride to the Cloud Gate and other iconic Chicago landmarks. Also in walking distance of great deep dish pizza restaurants and the train station. The customer service was amazing and the room was spacious and comfortable. Definitely glad I got to experience one of Marriott's higher-end properties and hope to stay here when I visit the Windy City again.

Excellent hotel. Clean and decent sized room in a perfect location. The bar/restaurant in the lobby is great (I only had French onion soup but it was amazing). Located near the Willis Tower, Chicago Board of Trade, etc. In the heart of Chicago. I'll definitely return.

One of the best hotels available. Very helpful staff. Great in room variety of alcohol, beverages, and snacks. The pool and exercise room hours aren't abbreviated. I loved the comfortable bed. Quiet rooms.

Rooms are great. Spacious, nice decor, bathroom is huge! Check-in was a bit frustrating as they didnt have a chip card reader yet so issues with payment. Location is pretty central. Valet is way too expensive. For $300/night room valet should not cost $69.

Love this hotel because of it's location and how close it is to everything. You can walk to Navy Pier to the East or walk to the river to the West and North. So many great restaurants in the area as well. Rooms are a nice size and are updated and the beds are comfortable. Staff is wicked helpful and the lounge area is a welcome perk after a long day. No views from the rooms as it's pinned between two buildings but that doesn't stop it from being a great hotel that I try to stay at every time I'm in town.

Great location in the loop with easy valet service. There is an amazing restaurant, The Florentine, tucked up on the mezzanine level that serves one of the best breakfasts in the loop and contemporary Italian for lunch and dinner. The hotel lobby is a perfect spot to grab a coffee or drink to conduct a meeting. Customer service and front desk are helpful and professional.

My mom and I went for dessert at the JW. I had the cheddar/caramel dessert and my mom had the rumler cake. They were both so good. We were impressed by the unique combinations of flavors and the great execution. Our complements to the chief! We also received very good service from the wait staff in a comfortable atmosphere.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… This is my "home away from home" when visiting Chicago and I stay here at least once a year. Every visit has been wonderful and the staff at all levels make sure guests are taken care of properly. I recommend this property for business and leisure stays. Highly recommended.

Great Hotel to stay at. The conference breakout rooms can be a little confusing to find on the 3rd floor but they were nice conference rooms and the temperature was well regulated in them. My room was great and I had a great view. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Close to Chicago Landmarks. Hotel is a block away from Wllis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower). Public parking garage is also only a block away. The staff are very courteous. The only complaint I had was the Executive Lounge served the same thing for breakfast every day. It got old after three or four days.

Exceptional service and staff. Well kept facility, with modern décor. Lobby bar and restaurant offers great place to meet with colleagues before heading out on the town. Highly recommended.

If given the choice of hotels in the immediate area, I would stay here. The lobby is large and open, the rooms are also quite big with plenty of windows, and all my experiences here so far have been great. If you're looking for a standard-design / upscale hotel room, JW in Downtown Chicago is your place.

I recently stayed at the JW Marriott in Chicago on Adams street. What a great hotel! I travel a lot and this was one of the nicest places I've ever experienced. Beautiful and thoughtfully done, with the largest individual tub I've ever seen in my life! Lovely sloping back; great for relaxing and reading. Loved the art work. Loved everything about it. And the staff are phenomenal. From Peter at the front desk who helped problem-solve for me to the fabulous Andrew in In Room Dining, who treated me with treats, kindness and good cheer, all the staff I encountered were amazing. One of the things I most appreciated was that nothing felt "scripted and canned" as you experience so often anymore. Every friendly greeting and kindness felt wholly sincere. I think these are people who really like people and like their jobs at this great hotel. It was wonderful!

Rooms were nice, spacious, beautiful. The layout was a little labyrinth like, but I enjoyed my stay.

Great rooms. Some rooms have nicer bathroomsthen other rooms. Everything is clean. However, you have to pay for Wi-Fi and breakfast. For me the price of the room is enough to cover those things.

Though I only stayed for a few drinks at the restaurant, the service impeccable. The restaurant was very nice, clean, and staff was professional and friendly. I'll definitely be going back for after work drinks.

The perfect location and hotel to spend time in Chicago. The large welcoming lobby is both classic and mornern at the same time. Staff are always friendly and the fireplace in the lobby bar is a great way to warm up. Be sure to check out the executive lounge on the top floor.

Overall experience was good but later they added a charge of 50 dollars for the umbrella even when I had returned it. I had to make calls to get tht reverted.

Very good over all, but slightly disappointed in the fact that there was nothing special done to recognize our anniversary. Staff were very friendly, but a little touch to recognize our special occasion would have been appreciated.

Location was great. Right next to subway 3 blocks from union station. Room and bathroom were very nice. Did not use any services, so I cannot comment on that. Everyone was friendly.

The beds were fairly uncomfortable but the service was incredible. We ordered in room service and the veggie sandwich and the chicken bites were absolutely incredible. The first room service guy took my tip, then the second room service guy informed me that the tip was auto included and I need not tip. Needless to say the first guy was kind of sketchy. I cannot stress enough how bad the beds are. For close to 300 dollars a night they need to SERIOUSLY upgrade their mattresses. The linens were ripped in one corner and that was a little off putting as well. Overall good experience. However the beds really were terrible.

I was at the JW for a wedding. It was a lovely evening. The hotel had the location of the wedding very clearly labeled. The staff was wonderful and the venue was beautiful.

Staff appears friendly. Room looks clean. I went here for a Christmas party at the bar downstairs (service was good).

JW Marriott in Chicago is in my top five favorite hotels. It's a full service hotel with great customer service. The hotel itself is large and offers multiple rooms of varying sizes for many types of events. The rooms are comfortable, always clean, and we'll maintained.

For the price, this was not a great deal at all. My week day stay was $350/night after employer discount. Everything is very nice feeling, great central location, great workout area, and the room is spacious; however there were a couple of experiences that were not great. The Internet is not free and even when I logged in, it was too slow to do most tasks as I tried to work. I was upgraded for free after calling but they clearly don’t have the capacity to have a certain number of guests access it at once. I also ordered a snack in the evening, which took over an hour to be delivered to my room. After calling, I was only told “it was on its way”. 30 more minutes of waiting. It comes. I find out the 10 dollar cheesecake is 17 after delivery to my room. Unfortunately, it did not taste good either – cheap ingredients. Breakfast is not free since its a 4 star. Elevators are small. View from any side of the hotel is unappealing. Overall, I would not go back at the price the rooms are usually sold at.

My stay at the JW Marriott in Chicago was fantastic! The rooms were beautiful and the hotel service was phenomenal. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the city. Will be staying here again.

1. Though there were two men standing in the foyer when I walked in (I was dressed in work-out type clothing and had luggage), I was never greeted by them. They just looked at me. 2. Had an early check-in and was able to get a handicapped room (which was great for me). The young lady who checked me in was very cordial and friendly. 3. The room was clean and adequate size. The bathroom was a little larger and I appreciated that due to it being a handicapped room. 4. Linens and towels were clean and stain-free. 5. The walls and doors are paper thin. Heard every conversation of the people next door and as others were going down the hallway. 6. Great location (in the center of the financial district).

I absolutely love this hotel. I have stayed here quite a few times and have held several events at the JW where attendance is anywhere from 60 to 650 and they never dissapoint! The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location — Add to that a staff that is helpful and gracious and its magic. As a Director of Meetings I have the opportunity to stay in many hotels across the US, but when I come to the JW Chicago I feel like I'm home! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a night away or anyone planning a meeting or event.

I've stayed twice in the last 6 months and it's been a pleasure. Staff have been eager to help and the rooms have been clean. Can't beat the location for a quick weekend trip near shopping, theater, parks, restaurants and museums.

Amazing hotel. It was pure luxury. I was sad that internet Wi-Fi and breakfast were not free, but Corner Bakery is just down the street. At least the gym and pool are free. Both are very nice.

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend trip. We were impressed right away with the hotel staff. Daniel at the front desk was very friendly and took time to ask us what brought us to Chicago. The next day Daniel sent up a hand written note (signed by him and the other front desk staff) and delicious snack and bottle of wine as an anniversary treat. The hotel was beautiful, and the location was great. Only 2 blocks from the Willis tower, and we were able to walk nearly everywhere. The was a little confusion with our hotel package and the Florentine restaurant on the second floor, but this was quickly resolved. Now I don't know when we will have another opportunity to travel kid-free to Chicago, but I will be recommending this place to all adults looking for a nice place to stay.

I'm not sure if this is the best hotel to stay in and I would recommend another hotel only because of the thefs we experienced. Stayed here for business for a whole entire week. 2 iphones came up missing, 1 box was stolen that was caught on camera and now that everyone is home — 1 box big box is missing with a very expensive camera inside. A conquendence or an inside job? I hate to even say this. The staff was sssoooo nice and helpful. But it is what it is. 3 thefts makes you think what kind of security is there and if its an inside job? I called security or lost and found and told them what happened and they guy told me to call back in a couple of hours to talk to an 2nd shift manager. He seemed unconcerned. Will my company stay here again — I hope not.

I'll start off by saying I was very excited to stay in this hotel once arriving. It was beautiful in the lobby and I felt like I was getting what I paid for. From the staff outside greeting me as I got out of the taxi, to the ladies working at check-in I was all smiles. As I got to my room and examined it, I found it was quite nice and clean as I would expect from the price I paid. Once again, all smiles. I had friends in a lower end hotel staying close to Michigan Ave. And I couldn't wait to show off my hotel room. Fast forward a few hours and my feelings of the hotel seem to explode in the opposite direction. We'll start off with the complimentary Wi-Fi in the lobby, but not in my room? I have to pay $15/day to use Wi-Fi in the room I paid for, but any Joe-blow off the street can walk into the lobby area and enjoy the hotels services for free? Are you kidding me? This probably isn't much of a downer for US residents as they can use data off their cellular devices, but for an international customer as myself who was on contract for $100/weekend for 100MB/data I was severely disappointed. Now here we are in the late evening. My group asks a staff member up front where the nearest liquor store is so we can have a few drinks in our room before hitting Chicago's nightlife. He is very helpful and gives us easy directions to follow and wishes us a goodnight.

I give the room 5 stars. It was spacious, the bathroom was luxurious, and the bed was very comfortable. However, I thought this hotel was understaffed. Maybe it was because it was Memorial Day weekend, but there was a lot of confusion during our arrival process. No valet, no bellhop, but the doorman/greeter was kind enough to take our bags to the front desk. There was a 10 minute line to check in, and an hour into our visit we still didn't have out bags. The staff was pleasant, but appeared to be overworked and overwhelmed at times. The lobby and bar were nice but loud. Great location to the Red Line and walking distance to many other attractions. Overall, I thought it was good and would consider staying there again.
