Our stay was awesome! This is a great, quick get-a-way with a beautiful atmosphere and plenty of activities for the entire family. The only downside was not having a microwave inside the room. It absolutely sucks to have to leave your room to go downstairs to warm up food. Please reconsider adding microwaves to each room.

Pool was closed but we made the best of it. It’s a beautiful hotel with exceptional horticulture. The inside definitely need some upgrades but it’s still a really beautiful hotel.

This hotel is so nasty and disgusting my experience here was so awful they gave me a room with blood on the blankets then they gave me another room with ants all over in the room and blood on the pillow cases like they don't have no extra blanket or sheet they don't have any extra towels
I strongly recommend before you even lay in the bed please check your blankets and sheets is like they don't even wash the blankets or sheets after the next customer client I want to say.

Quiet, beautiful, romantic! Very luxurious! Plants, flowers, water fall, big comfy rooms, and great customer service!

The pool and slide is awesome! jacuzzi is incredible with the waterfall! Beautiful hotel! They have an amazing bar and slots in a cave!

Brought our 2 grandsons. Family fun. Clean rooms. Pool is fantastic. We will be coming back. Best prices for what they offer.

Because The Cave isn't open They had a great bartender and they let him go He made awesome drinks and was so nice and very much a gentleman.

This was my first time there and from living in the area, I expected more from Bloomingdale, especially since it's surrounded by mini mansions. The staff was very friendly and accommodating nonetheless. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. They definitely have a lot of updating to do but I will definitely be back.

Everything! DO NOT GO HERE! The worst experience ever! These reviews are old and I just checked out of here today and stayed 2 nights and wanted to leave within the first 15 minutes! It smells so bad and it’s under renovation! (Rightfully so) this place is definitely not a 3 star hotel! It’s a motel like a place from stone park off of Mannheim Rd. That street walkers get for a few hours! I recommend going to motel 6 before going here! Not sorry at all for my comment but for it being in Bloomingdale?! It definitely is a complete run down fail! The front desk girl was very unprofessional and unpleasant. Maybe 5-10 years ago this place was it but now definitely NOT! I am so disappointed and disgusted! Had ants on my bed and smelled like a wet dirty dog that has not been bathed in a year! The single couch had stains I don’t even want to imagine where they came from! The air conditioning kept going out and had to call maintenance several times and felt like I was sharing my room with him and should have paid for half of my stay! There is one tiny play school microwave for over 1000 rooms on the first floor and the line to use it felt I was at the DMV waiting to renew my license! The pillows felt like I was sinking in a pile of horse manure and smelled just as bad! The supposed goose down comforters had holes in them like they had been moth eaten! Then I upgrade to a king bed and charge me the up charge and it’s a double twin!

Very family friendly and welcoming. Beautiful view in and out. Just fancy.

Dirty carpeting throughout hotel. When I reported it they wanted to wait until I checked out until I insisted. Sheets had blood stains on them. First staff that I checked in with was not very helpful or forthcoming with information about hotel or area. Other staff were pleasant and much more helpful. Gift shop was next to nothing, thankfully there is plenty of shopping in the area. Rooms were large and pool area was large but again… very dirty!
Breakfast was next to nothing and they kicked you out right at closing even if you were in the middle of eating.
Mini golf area is being used for a dog park. Its overgrown with weeds everywhere including in the middle of the course. The greens are all torn up and falling apart. It was not operational.
Ratings and photos are very deceptive.
Would not recommend. Only gave second star because of staff and area. This hotel was not worth the cost.

I was miserable my whole stay. I mean people just coming off the street to go swimming then leaving. My bathroom was dirty, NASTY garbage cans in the room with no bags in the cans. And old dried up food in the garbage cans.

So far so good… everything and everyone are accommodating nice and friendly environment.

There is something for everyone of all ages to engage in. The building and ground are well groomed. Close to eating places and mall. It is in a great location with beautiful scenery.

The pool and hot tub did an amazing job of keeping my sister, mother, and I incredibly relaxed. The perfect relaxing environment! the lobby and lounging areas are so inviting! We went there on Sunday so the cave bar was closed and unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy that main feature of the hotel. It is an older hotel that some people would think needs updating, but we found fascinating with the retro feel of the hotel. Everything about the hotel makes us leaving wanting more. Maybe we will have our family reunion here. Thanks for the good ladies night Indian lakes hotel!

Excellent staff, reasonably priced, clean rooms. The pool was amazing and not too cool, hot tub is off the charts good, hot the way it should be. Breakfast was fresh and staff was constantly replenishing everything. This will be a place that my family and I will visit time and time again. Highly recommend!

Room was clean, nice view from the 5th floor. Hotel was clean. Indoor pool was nice. My wife enjoyed the hot tub. Its sad that the outdoor pool and mini golf course are not used and look deserted. Same with the full size golf course. That being said the place was booked solid.

Very run-down in many areas. Garbage/stains on the floors, and buildup in the corners showing only very basic housekeeping. Water-damaged ceiling in need of repairs. The room we were assigned to had 3 lights not working and the air-conditioning was broken. The TV remote had several buttons which did not function. There were also a few minor amenities missing but to be honest we only noticed after checking everything out. We called twice about the air-conditioning and finally they told us to move rooms. New room had two twin beds as opposed to one king bed, but everything was working. The rooms themselves were relatively clean (definitely clean enough) but there was no clock/alarm (we just used our cell phones).

The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because it's the updating it needs. I REEEALLLY hope the contractors and village figure this out because it needs to be restored back to its glory. The rooms were clean, breakfast was decent, although no meat or eggs, the pool is nice and huge with a slide kids enjoy. I love the atrium and the bar in the middle is awesome.

Just like other have said great rooms. The pool does look better in pictures. The water was freezing. This place was really cool. Rooms felt clean not moist like others. You have do go there when the cave bar is open, looks like neat inside with the waterfalls.

This place has a ridiculous amount of false advertising. My husband and I came here to get away for a weekend… and the place is falling apart. They have a mini golf course abandoned and run down, they only had 1 pool instead of two. The outside pool was tarped over and overgrown. They advertised having 2 restaurants, but they had none, and instead just a single "Cave Bar" which was sketchy and pitch black dark that you couldn't even see the menu. The bedroom was okay, except it was weird that the door you can combine with the room next door to yours was located in the bathroom! It was bizarre. And all the photos they posted on their site are not even of their hotel! The kid in the pool for example… not at all what their indoor pool looks like. Their indoor pool looked filthy, and was super cloudy… I wouldn't be surprised if someone got E. Coli after swimming in it. My husband and I got several laughs out of how ridiculous this place was, but just be aware before booking that this is in shambles… literally.

Nice place. The rooms are nice. The pool looks nicer in the pics. Some updating is needed. Rugs are dirty and you can see that some things need to be done. Game room is expensive and can use some more stuff to do. Overall we had a good time. Not too crowded and very peaceful.

Awesome! Fitness center is amazing for the workout I needed Breakfast was just alright not fancy but was breakfast beds were fantastic slept great room was big and spacious giant bathroom and 10 foot deep swimming pool with a water slide indoors. Spa has a waterfall spills onto rocks for a very relaxing day after driving can’t say anything bad for a short stay at this hotel I’m definitely recommending this to everyone I know to stay if there’re ever close enough to get there.

Price was right. Kids loved the pool. Scenery was nice. Rooms were small but not bad. Next time we will ask for a room facing out back… rather than parking lot. Only complaint was the breakfast. Cold cereal, pastries, juices, waffles and coffee, only fruit was apples and nothing could leave eating area. Not hot cereal hot cocoa or even peanut butter for those that can't eat cereal and pastries.

The pool is amazing. Water is great. Very tropical feeling. Great for a small getaway with the kids. Free Breakfast aka donuts, bagels and cereal. The hotel was nice. Room clean. Hallways smelled a little but the staff is ridiculous. Called the cops on a family not doing nothing but celebrating her child birthday.

Great spacious clean comfortable room. Indoor pool is very nice. Free Breakfast included Tropicana orange juice with pulp! Better orange juice than a lot of free hotel breakfasts. Also has a 2 waffle machines. The architecture and atmosphere are great. There is a lot of greenery in the open area, with lots of seating. The hallways to rooms are long and winding. Glass elevators give a nice view of the open area.

The hotel could use some sprucing up. The carpet on the main floor was stained. Our room was on the fifth floor and we had a great view. I believe there used to be a golf course here. I took a stroll around the grounds, but with a temperature of 90+ and no breeze, it was pretty short. We didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast, but there were plenty of guest who did. (We took a quick peek to see what they offered then went out for breakfast. ) We didn't get a chance to go to the cave. The people at the service desk were very nice. Overall it was a very good experience.

Hotel has been undergoing renovations. Room was very nice and quiet. Cave Bar has recently reopened, Bar Manager Vincent was very pleasant and accommodating. Lobby still requires renovations, as carpet looks dirty and needs replacement. Parking lighting also needs to be addressed, either non-working or very dim in many areas, making it a safety concern. Continental breakfast daily, waffles during the week. Fitness center and game room has been reopened. Stayed at hotel for 11 nights and overall pleased with accomodations. Front desk staff were very personable.

Nice swimming pool with water slide and spa, professional and attentive staff. Rooms clean and well maintained, the hotel smells good and it is very big. There is a simulation of Amazonian forest inside it is very interesting to walk around. The era of outdoor restaurant is accessible through an underground tunnel, and there is a mini hotel arcade. Perfect for group trips.

Has so much potential but it is wasted. Common area and rooms are dirty! A line of dust on the edges and food particles cover the floors in hallways. The room was not vacuumed wall to wall there was garbage when you moved the shower curtain and room curtains. The maintenance of the property and building is poor. Paint is peeling, an elevator was down, a stain above the front desk and stains in the ceiling multiple other places, the carpet is stained horribly and the lack of landscaping furthers the notion that they do not care anymore. In the room the light by the beds had both light bulbs out. On top of all of these items you drive/walk past buildings/amenities they no longer use and it does not help the abandoned feel this place gives off. I believe the community is making a mistake petitioning changes this into a 55 and over community because this place is just going to be abandoned and run down in the next few years. Such a shame from where it once was.

Place needs some updating but overall a very pleasant experience. The place feels very empty. Staff is very friendly. An amazing pool area. Breakfast is "Meh" at best. Would definitely come here again.

What breakfast? The toast, sausage patty and microwaved egg? Not a breakfast and to top it off we had to search for it. They don’t tell you where it’s located, maybe because it isn’t worth telling about. The rooms are nice and the pool/hot tub are enjoyable. So it’s good for a night away once in awhile, but not at the top of the list of getaways.

We had a good time. Kids loved the pool. Not many food places deliver to the hotel. And every day from visiting the city we had to stop at the front desk to get new room keys. For some reason they deactivated. Slight inconvenience.

Architecture is amazing! Atrium is spacious and enjoyable. Rooms were very clean. Check in and check out were quick and easy. Pool area was large. The weekend we went was pretty busy. So busy, that I didn't quite enjoy the pool because it was crowded and dirty. We got a pretty nice deal and that is why we stayed here. Hotel has so much potential but they need more staff to run this large hotel and to stay on top of guests' requests.

Room and pool were really nice especially for the price. The scenery inside was also beautiful. The gift shop that they say they have is literally items on the wall near the guest counter not exciting at all. The one bad thing there is their breakfast. No hot items and only one side of their toaster was working which made for huge lines.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Beds are comfy and Bathrooms are all updated! Loved it! Wasn't worried about anything at this hotel!

This hotel is definitely unique. But. Its not taken care of. It has the potential to be really cool. The carpeting is all dirty and and tore up and the paint was chipping. Staff is polite. But when we asked for more towels no one brought any to our room. Had to go down to the front desk several times to ask, and was repeatedly told they'd send them to our room. We didn't receive them until the next day. When we got on to the elevator it smelled strongly of marijuana… We got off on the second floor and the smell was so over powering. My children were holding their noses as we waited for the elevator again. We brought it to the staffs attention… Nothing was done about it. The pool area was pretty cool. We really enjoyed it! The continental breakfast was awful. We went down at about 830 am… They were out of almost all the juice. Fruit was gone. When asked if there would be anymore, staff said… Once its gone. Its gone. The only hot thing they had was waffles… And the line for that was insane. Our room was pretty cool. It was a hexagon had huge windows with a great view of the golf course. The beds were really comfortable… I'm not impressed with this hotel at all. We won't be returning. This place would be amazing if they put some love and money into it!

Beautiful comfortable room. Very nice staff. Manager worked with us as our dog was a little over wieght limits. One thing… No windows to the outside in our room… But windows out into the hallway… Strange. But all in all a very nice place to stay.

For anyone who grew up in this area knows this was at one time a great place. It has gone way down hill. Our friends room was not cleaned from the previous guests, our other friends were given a room that was a meeting room, and none of our rooms had a microwave! You had to go down the hall to a room where the ice machine was to heat up anything. The staff walked the pool area literally checking people's cups to make sure it was water. I've never seen that done. They did comp our friend with the Presidential Suite… Which was nice to have for all of us, but didn't change my opinion of the hotels atmosphere. I was very disappointed in the change of the whole hotel.

The pictures are great. It probably once was a really upscale hotel… however, there’s a reason Hilton has severed ties with the property. The golf course is being made into a 55+ community. The restaurants and bars were all closed when I was here. Unfortunately, the worst was my room has mold growing from the window frame on two of the floor to ceiling windows. I had really hoped this place was going to be better. 20 years ago, I imagine it was incredible. How sad…

Fyi. This is no longer Indian Lakes Resort! It's changing to a Double Tree Inn. The great speak easy bar and fancy restaurant overlooking the pond are both closed, permanently. The pool and hot tub are both still nice. There is complimentary breakfast, which is okay, at best. They are selling golf course for a new old folks community. Disappointing that another nice establishment sold put to a chain.

The rooms are awesome. Place is beautiful. No restaurant. No place to pick up anything you might have forgotten. Want a snack? You must get in your car An drive to get it. Do have soda machines. At $2.50 a pop. Over all I’d give them a 3.5. As nice as it is. They need a restaurant.

The rooms are cool. My room was clean and comfortable. One of the elevators was out. And the continental breakfast wasn't that great.

The owner of this hotel has a gold mine with all the amenities available on the property, but needs to invest the necessary funds for updating the resort. This is my third stay at the property, last time the Spa was closed, time before that the room smelled like a zoo, and now the restaurant is closed. Very friendly (5 star) staff crew, working in a 2 star hotel. I can't seem to convince my family to stay at other resorts in Chicagoland, maybe now they have seen the light after traveling back and forth to restaurants in near Sub-Zero weather. It would be a great if the owner seeks advice from Anthony Melchiorri, host of Hotel Impossible.

This resort is definitely dated and not for you if you want a typical Hilton experience. We stayed for a few days in June while we passed through Chicago and had the greatest time. I wish they would invest some resources to get the outdoor pool and mini golf up and running but what they lacked was certainly made up for by amazing staff. Frank (concierge) was so helpful driving us to local spots and helping us with the train schedules to/from Chicago & Milwaukee. It is a unique place with so much potential! It has so much character and made our roadtrip that much more memorable. We will definitely be staying again next summer :)

I stayed here for one night in a business trip and it was a nice hotel. The architecture and room layout were kind of weird but the rooms were big and I also liked the indoor pool and hot tub. I had the breakfast buffet in the morning and it was pretty good, nothing amazing but still good.

The rooms are excellent.

A very unique property that you will either love or hate. Rooms are not typical rectangular in shape so there are some interesting angles that make the space seem small in spots yet larger in others. The decor is a bit dated. Lobby carpet NEEDS replacing. There is a large atrium with a waterfall and bar plus plenty of room to relax all over the property. One south tower elevator was not in service and the hallways are narrow. Still a neat place to check out.

This place was amazing! It definitely had a 70's vibe but the lobby was the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. They have fountains and real plants everywhere and it was my favorite part. My husband and I loved our room, everything was clean and in place! Room service was amazing also and we will definitely be coming back here.

Check-in was painless and staff was very helpful. I stayed in the hotel on business so several of he 'extras' were comped. The breakfast buffet was always stocked and warm. There was bacon, sausage, pancakes, eggs, waffles, on, milk, fruit, cereal, and oatmeal. Probably not worth the $15 price tag, but since it came with the accommodations, I cannot complain. Th bed was clean and comfortable with an assortment of girm and soft pillows. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The water was not as hard as typical hotel water and it was nice and hot. As for the pool, business center, and fitness room, they looked quite good, but I did not use them. The bartender at Izzie and Moe's was good and took care of us, but the food left something to be desired because it came from the hotel restaurant.

We spend our 6 year wedding anniversary here. This was a pleasant stay. Clean and quiet the, building architecture is awesome. I love the octagon shape, very different. Customer service was want I would expect. For the resort to be as nice and elegant as it is, I did see where some interior improvement could be enhanced. But over all I will recommend and come back again.

The building and grounds are large and beautiful, and the staff is generous and helpful. We got room service and the food was amazing, especially the chocolate cake! And the hot tub was very hot, unlike some places where they don't make the water hot enough to be a real hot tub.

The stay at the Hilton was pretty great, we had a room next to the pool. The only complaint I have was the foot traffic (which is it to expected being poolside) and the fact that I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for my room. The receptionist who checked me gave me a 20 dollar voucher as an apology. All in all I would recommend this hotel. Oh and the spa, golf and mini golf areas were all closed which was a major bummer for me.

Nice location and great service. Suitable for conventions. Wellness room and swimming pool. Locate on the fields from Folf.

Food: heavy and average. Massage great but bathroom out of order. Room: spacious once you find one with a functioning AC, no leaking pipes, dripping fridge and broken safes. View: ok if you face the golf course and your windows are not fogged from the condensation from breeches in the thermal window panes. Leave your hopes of playing tennis at home with your Raquet: the courts are beyond repair as is the mini golf course. The honey comb design is painful to see — not a clean line in the house. Irony: it has a Biggest Loser program.

Attended Indian Lakes two years in a row for golf event. Staff is all nice and attentive. Bar is older but gets the job done. Food is just okay. Last time golfing the course was well maintained aside from very dry and stiff sand traps.

The overall resort was a bit dated, but the amenities were fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not golf, but the course appeared to be nice from what I saw.

Thank you Hilton Indian Lakes! We arrived late night at O'Hare to find out our connecting flight (among many other flights) was cancelled, and the next connecting flight wasn't until late the next day. Due to so many other stranded travelers — this was the closest hotel with a vacancy and reasonable price. When we arrived at the hotel, we realized that we didn't have the airlines voucher for a discounted rate. The front desk man was so kind and could sense our frustration and insisted that he would still apply the discount even though we didn't have the voucher. The room was spacious and very clean, and in a hexagonal shape which actually made for very nice feng-shui. The next day, the man driving the shuttle gave us the best recommendation as to how to get to down town (took the metra train, then the water taxi to navy pier). Shortly after we checked out of the hotel I realized that I had left a family-heirloom ring in the hotel room. They immediately Fed-Exed me the ring and provided me with a tracking number. They truly made our unexpected layover in Chicago a pleasant time and I cannot thank this hotel for your hospitality enough. Thank you!

The Hilton Chicago/Indian Lakes Resort is a great place. The way the rooms are setup is great for a family. Also the facility is superb with a full golf course, two pool (one indoors and one outdoors) and a mini golf course. It's fun for the whole family. All around its a very fun place and great upkeep.

This hotel is great! Always clean has everything you could need. Except a microwave. I don't hold that against it though. Great staff and shout out to Kyle for helping me make a last minute booking. Love the unique design of this place. It like a living piece of history.

Nice hotel. Great staff. However, there are multiple issues. No microwave. The windows are paper thin. You can here people playing outside on the putt putt course. And the doors are so heavy that when you close them they slam shut. Not so nice for someone trying to take a little nap.

We stayed here for a woman's church retreat. The rooms were nice and clean, but the plated meals weren't very good. The chicken was tough the one night, and the potatoes were dried out. The plated breakfast the next day had really dried out scrambled eggs and hash browns. The one buffet lunch with coucous salad, sandwich wraps, kettle chips and cream of broccoli soup was really good though. Service was always good!

Izzy and Moe's was one of the most fun places I've been in a while! Staff was nice, drink prices were rationale/cheap (but no drink specials or happy hour) and the ambiance was awesome and unique.

Awesome atrium, huge pool with water slide and waterfall in hot tub. Resort is huge and unique. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Only drawback was the age of the elevators. We were on 5th floor and at times both elevators were broken. Would stay here again for the right price.

Very disappointing… Noise all night long, woke up early to find trash, towels, etc. In the atrium area where it seems people camped out all night. Mediocre food with very small selection. In room breakfast was awful, the fruit was stale and eggs were cold. Friendly staff was really the only plus. We very much expected better for Hilton. It felt like a Motel 8.

I love this place the pools from the inside.

This is an older hotel but the rooms are updated and we'll maintained. Staff are super friendly. Night manager even opened the gift shop at 2 am because we wanted a coke. Room service was average. The breakfast is not included and $35 for 2 is better spent somewhere else IMO.
