The East St Louis Mitel 6 looks very nice from the outside. That is where the nice ends. The rooms are extremely small, the beds short, the AC is inadequate, the floors sticky, no bathroom vent fan, and the linens not clean. There are much nicer Motel 6 locations. They should turn the light off. I would keep driving.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. This is the cleanest Motel 6 I've ever stayed at. Nice clean outside pool. Nice laundry facilities. A few restaurants and a convenience store withing walking distance. Now let me tell you about my stay. I was greeted as soon. As I walked in the door. I had booked my room on line and for some reason I was in a single bed handicap accessible room. Traveling with two little ones I really needed two beds. Even though I said I'd take the room, she quickly changed it for me, we all slept very comfortably. I checked out and went to breakfast with my family then noticed I'd forgotten my watch. I called back and they looked for it. When they couldn't find it I panicked, they kindly allowed me to come back to see if I could find it and I did. We usually travel to St. Louis multiple times during baseball season. We normally stay closer to the stadium but from now on Motel 6 Caseyville will be our go to thanks to Lashanda and the rest of the kind staff. They made my trip very enjoyable.

The room was clean, the pillows were adequate. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was alright for the night. Getting to the room, the remote wouldn't turn on the tv, and the phone was dead. Went down to the front desk, the young man there exchanged the remote and volunteered to change the room if the phone didn't work. He came up and it appeared to be a matter of the phone not being plugged into the jack properly. I like the fact that many properties now have laminate flooring. It seems to contribute to the clean feeling of the room. However, to have to pay for Wi-Fi seems ridiculous. Charge a couple bucks more and give it to guests. And there was no fridge/microwave in the room. Most properties have these in the rooms. Charge an extra buck if you must and include these. For these reasons, the three star rating.

The rooms were dirty. And sheets were stained. There were stain splatters on the wall. We arrived around 2:45pm and had to wait for our room to be ready. We also saw several other guests that had to sit around and many people waiting in line to check in. The hallways and stairwells were hot and steamy. My husband wouldn't let me and my kids even go in the elevator because it was dirty and smelled awful.

Best deal for price! My pup stayed free and the room was really clean. Thanks Joanne! The best deal ur gonna find. Just a cpl suggestions for management, wash the towels in bleach, there was makeup on my towel. And get something so the all doors don't slam every time it closes. I'd def come back. And the manager tashonda was very nice!

The front desk help was very pleasant. The housekeeping staff was nice as well. The room was clean. The cost of the room could have been a little cheaper because the room was small, but other than that, I'd recommend it.

Great value for the price. Have stayed here many times but unfortunately the pool is NEVER open. Seems like any time there is a threat of rain within 50 miles they close it.

Very nice modern decor. Laminate floors. Much nicer than dirty carpet; however, the floors need wiped down. They were dusty dirty.

This was BY FAR the worst experience I ever had. First, the card machine did not work, the lady tried both card machines, ended up having to go to a gas station and get cash. The lady who was working, her shirt looked like something out of a rag bag, Very unprofessional! Now for the worst part, we get in the room, the floor had not been swept, my wife finds a cocaine straw used for snorting the DRUG! Then we find caps to syringes under the bed, so we never took our shoes off until we was in bed. The ONLY reason we did not pack up and leave right then was we were so exhausted, neither of us felt comfortable driving anymore. I can't even give this place 1 star. It was disgusting, the ad online said it was a newly remodeled hotel, you could not tell. I will never recommend or stay at this place EVER again!

For the price you cant beat motel 6. It was clean and quiet and friendly staff. Only problem was room only had one small bar of soap and went to front desk they didnt have anymore.

Front desk was great helping us with Direction getting around your town I think you can use an upgrade by providing refrigerator and microwave in the rooms for people they are staying more than one day and have family hope to stay with you again soon.

Horrifying. Stuck in the back corner in a filthy room (do not get me started on the tub) where I got to listen to doors literally slamming all night. Seems none of them had a spring to slow them down, including the doors in and out of the building AND the room doors. The employees were in and out of the area as the "wing" my room was in was down a hallway also marked employees only. Absolutely atrocious, perhaps in the top 3 worst — — and I've stayed in a whole lot of Motel 6 traveling cross-country multiple times with a pet. The lady at the front desk was sweet, but that was the only saving grace. Avoid at all costs.

Recently attempted to stay in caseyville location. The best thing offered was the great customer service. Cornell was awesome, patient, very detailed with any questions and concerns I had. He actually treated the place as if it was his business. The rooms horrible, the smell, noise. No fridge, very small unclean. I was able to get a refund.

Wifi was advertised as free, but when trying to connect it asks you to pay. There was only one full sized towel in the bathroom when we arrived. The only food available is a couple vending machines. Easy to access, but definitely not scenic in any way.

Very pleasant stay. Room was clean and parking was always available. Friendly staff. Will recommend.

Room was basically fine although I think the cleaning supplies left a weird smell in the bathroom. Walls were paper thin, could hear everything next door. I'm a heavy sleeper but if you're noise sensitive be advised.

Not clean in room or hallways. Dirt on floors in bedroom and bathroom. Outside Door near my room was not locked anyone can come in. Why have a card reader and door not locked. No breakfast, microwave, refrigerator, in room coffee pot. Dog hair in room was white my dog is black. If my truck wasn't broke down and had no way to get back to petetbilt until morning, I wouldn't have stayed here. Very disappointed.

Cleanish; there was a gooey looking something on the floor next to the end table. The bathroom door did not close all the way so locking it was pointless. Bathroom looked nice though. Livable for a short time frame. Probably will not come back here though.

I was looking for a cheap place to stay and this one was great. The price was decent, the room was clean, and I had no problems with safety while I was there. The employees were all nice too. The only problems I had were that the back door was open to anyone and that the elevator smelled like pot a few times.

It was clean. The hallway and smoking room did not smell of smoke. They also have central heat and air so it was nice walking into a warm room. It would have been nice to have a breakfast. Overall the staff are friendly and welcoming. I would visit again.

Comfortable, cozy, clean rooms. Lighting in rooms are great. Bathrooms are nice size with great lighting. Onsite laundry. Clean hallways. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Only downside is no free Wi-Fi, microwave or mini fridge. I definitely recommend this Motel 6 for short or extended stays.

Friendly staff. Could have been cleaner. Pipe busted during our stay and they ran humidifiers and dryers down the first floor my entire stay with zero acknowledgment. Decent location.

The room was great and very clean. But once night time came things got bad. The room next to us was so loud with people in it, they must of been having some type of party. Doors slamming all hours of the night, yelling in the hallways, etc. I finally called the front desk and told them of this problem on our floor. They said they would take care of the situation. It did quiet down for a bit, but picked right back up again later. The next night we thought how quiet it was compared to the night before, but that quickly changed. The room next us again was right back to the same thing from the night before. I would stay there again but I would ask for a room at the end of the hall.

Family. Everything was so clean and the beds were perfectly washed and tucked very neatly. Front Desk was awesome. Gave me extra blankets. There is not enough kind words for everyone I encountered including the manager. Kudos! By the way I will be back!

My stay was pleasant. Room was barebones but bed and linens very comfortable. Room could use a clock and coffee pot. It was a Friday night and hallway was quiet and we never heard a sound, even though hotel was full. I will definitely stay here again. Also the desk clerks at check-in and check-out were super nice!

I was glad to see a modern looking building on arrival. Very nice hotel staff greeting us. Entering the room at first glance was very good. Then the negatives started appearing left and right. There was no microwave or refrigerator. The TV was quite small for a newer facility. No remote for the TV in the room. After receiving the remote it quit working on the first day. No hair dryer. Shower water pressure was not very good at all. We had a three day reservation but had to have the key reprogrammed each day. Having a third floor room is was very annoying to have to go back to the front desk each day. No maid service for the entire stay although we mentioned it to the front desk. We had to go to the front desk to get our own towels etc. If I could have gotten out of the reservation I would have after the first day.

Great location just off the interstate, with eating options and convenience stores nearby. Room was clean and spacious. Just the basics, but that's what you expect with Motel 6. Motel had water saver faucets on sink and shower to the extreme, only issue I encountered. I would definitely stay here again.

The desk ladies are always very nice and helpful. The only thing I was sad about was that the microwave has been taken out of the lobby. They said that corporate made them take it out. I LOVED having that micro wave. Sad to see it go. Oh, and there was a huge centipede bug like thing with huge harry legs. I wasn't too happy about that. Ha!

I reserved the room I believe 2-3 days in advance and payment was not due until check-in. The check-in time was at 3pm and I came in hour 1/2 early to at least get that out of the way. Now before I go into my disappointing recent experience, I have been to this location many times before and I love how comfortable staff/features of the motel made me feel. 7/21/17 — The weather this day was over 100 degrees and there was no cool blowing air in the lobby of the motel, so you can image how uncomfortable the atmosphere was for people. (1) I stood in the line for an hour before I actually got to the counter. Now all I was told to do is show my ID/proof of payment and I would be given a room key because I had already paid. (2) Brandon/ Manager, which I did not find out until later. I explain to him that I had already paid and I was told to show proof of payment and my ID for a room key. He tells me I have no clue what you are talking about and I told him who took my payment. He sends one of the housekeeping ladies to go find the lady that took my payment. Then he asked me why she did not give me a key and I told him I did not know. Brandon then tells me" I need you to step to the side because I need to check these other guest in"?! What! — As if my situation was not important, I had watch everyone get served and get cool rooms to relax in… NOT to mention… I reserved this room days before, I paid in advance, all Brandon had to do is look at the receipt I was given.

Property was in excellent condition. It was bright and cheery. Staff was so helpful with my disabled husband. The maintenance man helped me with all my lifts and luggage. The room was clean, and easy to transfer my husband from the wheelchair to the bed with access under the beds in accessible rooms. I stay here whenever I travel through st. Louis. I only wish the Dalton Georgia property was in half the shape of this one. You need to close that property. Drugs, filth, rude people, and disgusting rooms.

Nice hotel. Newly renovated so the rooms are really nice, laminate floors, had an actual thermostat (super appreciative of that) clean, smelt nice, and fit our budget. We were staying the weekend in St. Louis for a Cardinals game and this hotel was only 10-15 minutes away. The pool was nice and the staff and housekeepers were really friendly. I will stay again and probably every time I visit St. Louis. My only compliant was that the walls are really thin. The first night we stayed, I listened to a lady have a melt down for a good 30 minutes. Other than that, everything was great.

I love that they accept pets. I enjoyed my vacation and I could see the Arch in St Louis from my window. Driving 12 hours from Virginia I arrived early and my room was ready! It was a great adventure and my room was nice and clean. If I visit again I would stay here :)

Horrible place to stay. First night, we asked for extra pillows, never got them. We asked for NO room service and they fixed our room up anyway. The toilet ran. Our 2nd night, there was a party out back of the motel located right outside our window and staff nor police would do anything about it. It lasted from 1 am til 5am. We will never be staying here again even if we got free rooms. The laziness of the staff shows how much they really appreciate our business. And a motel 6 at that. Save yourself headache and get a room elsewhere but here. Would not recommend this place to any families.

I used to really enjoy staying here until I was banned for reasons still unknown to me by the sexist manager or whoever that person was that said to me and I quote "You men thinking you can just get away with anything! " Which again I'm really not sure with what I "got away with" I paid for every night I stayed and stayed here at least 5 times previously before this incident and never so much as lifted a face towel… This is no way to conduct business, and to make it worse when I called corporate to complain they told me it wasn't their problem and to talk to her if I had one it was a completely rediculus endeavor.

I am in complete shock from our experience. Upon arrival, we were very excited. The appearance of the hotel was very nice. However, once inside, we were in for an unexpected turn of events. Upon checking in, (we reserved our room a day before, the money was already taken off of my card), we were informed my significant other and I were "underage" and required a parent to check in. We are both 19 years old, both with full-time jobs and bills to pay. Yet, for some reason, the reservation staff failed to inform us about this policy. The money had already been taken off my card, and we had no place to stay. The woman at the front desk showed no empathy and stated quite literally that it was "none of her concern". Very sad that as a legal adult who is able to pay for a room could not even enter past the front desk to stay for the night without a parent. It would have saved a lot of trouble if we were informed of this policy before our arrival at 11:00 at night, where an alternative hotel was nearly impossible to find. Will not be staying at a Motel 6 in the future.

The location was difficult to get to. It's in an awkward industrial Court area. However the appearance is nice. The room left something to be desired. A bed, a table and a tv. That's it. Nothing special and, although clean, not a place I will think of first when needing a place to stay.

Stayed here 1 night with my dog. Had no complaints; in a safe & convenient location off freeway. Plenty of eating establishments in the area. Cable TV & internet satisfactory. Room was clean a check-in. With AARP internet is free with discount room rate.

For FIRST teams, this is NOT a nice place to stay. They late night staff are not nice people. They treat all guest like criminals. The side door, which should have key card access, is broken so everyone blocks it open. The rooms have a bad small. The blanks have holes in them. The hardwood floor were sticky from not being cleaned. And they want to charge extra for Wi-Fi. Well, sometime they want to charge extra. Sometimes they just give it away. Oh, and the night we checked in there were a bunch of drunks hanging around the parking lot. There is no bargain staying at this hotel.

I was VERY pleased with the price of room and when I got there, I was even more pleased to see how clean it was and how big the bathrooms were! I had a conference at the Edward Jones Dome and I was so glad that Motel 6 was so close! only took me 11 minutes to get there each morning! I am planning on making this my go to every time our conference comes to St. Louis!

Worst experience ever. The cleaning staff stole my credit card number and had a $600 dollar charge on my account for electronics. I know it was the staff there because I used cash for the room and the shipment address is in that area of the hotel. I live in Chicago.

It was not luxurious but it met our needs for a night. Bed was comfortable enough, nice pillows, clean room. Wish there had been a chair to sit and relax in, also missed having shampoo in the room. But all in all a good place to stay for an inexpensive price.

Actually a fairly nice place! I was skeptical at first, but found my self feeling quite comfortable here, despite the imitation wood floor in the room. Simple accommodations but nice and clean and cozy. Friendly desk clerk and very reasonably priced I might add!

The only place pass loved 1 night but it is very clean and cozy, the staff is very attentive. The only thing I didn't like is that I have to pay the Wi-Fi.

It was nice when we first got there, but felt as if I had to give them my first born to get a room. Room and hallways were clean and smelled nice and housekeeping was very friendly but all seemed afraid of our small friendly pets. No microwave but 1 on ground floor, no mini fridges in rooms and pool closed for season (it was a hot September). Found out security door near pool required no access key card to get in and other end a key card wouldn't even allow access at all. Their Wi-Fi is a joke. 2.99 for basic, 4.99 for faster streaming. Um, no. They are identical and we were kicked off repeatedly. We had to have our keycards rekeyed several times a day as well and know that was a common issue as other guests and front staff told us so. Did everything to keep them from getting demagnetized but didn't matter. Their breakfast beverage bar is awful. Crap coffee, cider and tea mixes for hot water. 3rd floor reeks of smoke, where the only decent ice maker was (1st floor ice maker requires lots of patience). We were constantly awakened by loud guests and twice smelled marijuana, reporting it once but nothing ever done about either issue. Police were there constantly. We were there for an extended stay and an issue that was called into corporate then rectified with them quickly was met with a horrible manager named William who refused to reason with polite logic and treated us like pariahs, telling us to go, giving us 15 mins though corporate said we could stay.

The good: Price, Cleanliness and MOSTLY friendly/helpful staff. The Bad: 3. ) Lots and lots of very loud, obnoxious, completely unsupervised guests that were never, ever dealt with. 2. ) The Wi-Fi there is very, very, very bad! You are charged extra for the service and unless you use it at 3am, you wil continually be kicked off. 1. ) A horrible, dispicable pseudo-"manager" by the name of William, who appeared to be thoroughly enjoying a huge power-trip. My family of 4 had to stay in the establishment for several weeks. For several weeks, there were no issues, payments were made promptly, room was kept up by us and housekeeping when needed. Our dogs were very well cleaned up behind, were very quiet and always under control. There was literally 1 issue that was quickly rectified and completely taken care of (a payment issue) which, after WEEKS of staying there with absolutely no other problems, resulted in having us not allowed to continue staying there. Not only were we given all of literally 15 minutes warning to leave, the police were called and there to make sure we would leave. *We had no intentions of NOT leaving at that point and it was thoroughly uncalled for and given all the circumstances, absolutely ridiculous! * Contacted corporate and it is not an issue with motel 6 n we were welcome to stay at any other locations they had. Obviously, that is not now likely to ever again going to happen. Pretty much due to one key player: The day manager, William.

Quiet location right off the expressway. Exactly what you expect from a cheaper hotel. Beds, bathroom, small space for belongings. Rooms were very clean. No problems with the staff. They got us checked in and on our way. Ideal if you just need a place to sleep if you plan on spending most of your time out of the hotel.
