Nice clean place to stay and the staff is very friendly. The price is fair compared to other hotels in the area. I haven’t really traveled much during the COVID pandemic but this place is north of the downtown area with fewer people so the location makes me feel safe. Not having housekeeping care for the room daily is a challenge but they do offer fresh towels, linens, and all other supplies if you need them. I was looking forward to the daily breakfast they advertised but that is not happening. They do offer a small snack bag and coffee that you can pick up to go in the morning. My only complaint would be the variety they offer in the snack bags. Every morning has been a blueberry muffin, blueberry breakfast bar, an orange, and small bottle of water. If I eat any more blueberries I think I’m going to turn into a blueberry. On good note with all the blueberry I’ve never been so regular and the toilet paper supply doesn’t seem to run out.

We stayed here part of our family vacation to Ocean City and loved it. The rooms were clean and spacious, staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious and the pool is wonderful! We couldnt swim in the ocean when we went due to strong waves so having a great pool to go to was a must and Holiday Inn Express did not disappoint. When we are in the area again I would have no issues with staying here again and as a travel agent I would feel very comfortable recommending it to clients.

I arrived this afternoon to check in for 3 nights and learned that 2 guests in the past 2 months had contracted Legionnaires disease and that the hotel was currently undergoing treatment for this virus issue. The clerk asked me if I'd been notified ahead of time and I had not. How is this place even open for business if it is unsafe and unhealthy? I am very upset that I didn't know this when I made the reservation and that I was not notified about this issue at all. Thankfully it is not a busy time here now and I was able to get a room at the Bethany Beach HIE, which was my first choice anyway, but the Ocean City one was less expensive.

Toxic chemical burns to my eyes, throat, nostrils after 20 minute exposure to aerosol smelling fumes in room. They should not rent rooms with a chemical cloud of poisonous bug spray to any human being. The health department should investigate. If I had stayed another 10 minutes I would be in the hospital … I may still end up with cancer. Do not risk your life!

Very nice staff rooms nice breakfast very good. No complaints at all will be back.

Thoughtful staff, delicious complimentary breakfast, and reasonable rates. Will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

There is absolutely nothing I could say wrong about this place. I love it! And the staff… all of them. But a shout out to "Tammy" for your outstanding compassion for your job and us. Made me feel like family. Everyone was awesome. Great breakfast and indoor heated pool. It was like bath water. Thanks for the overlook of the winter fest light show and the bay. I'll be back.

Our 1 night stay was excellent… we had a great king suite when we checked in … after we booked a standard room … how awesome … the front desk person Sarah was very courteous and friendly the breakfast was what I expected always great… the only downfall was the sound from the traffic on Coastal Highway our room was on that side… but anyhow I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express always… Very clean Hotel.

Great holiday inn hotel. About a 10 minute drive to the boardwalk which starts around 27th street. Clean room. Seemingly safe area. Had no problems what so ever. Very great service. Solid breakfast. Good choice for a less expensive hotel in ocean city that is still a great experience.

A nice, well maintained Holiday Inn Express. We stayed hear for a short part of our summer vacation and it was a lovely experience. The front desk staff were all very nice and welcoming and helped us with whatever we needed. Will definitely consider staying here again. Oh, and the breakfast is good for a hotel!

Wallpaper peeling, bathroom was nasty upon check-in (sandy and pop under the toilet seat), room smelt mildew-like, sheets had bloodstains (like period stains) … I could go on. Not really a great experience and probably won't return. I know it is a 2-star hotel, but cleanliness is all I ask for at a hotel location. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because their complimentary breakfast is acceptable. Lots of variety for everyone.

Room was comfortable and most of it was clean. There were blood spots on the sheets that were a little unnerving. Breakfast was good. The pools were refreshing. Accidentally left behind my wall phone charger. A friend went to see if he could retrieve it, but first got little assistance, and then the person checking didnt find it. So I'm assuming an employee needed a charger.

Room was clean and neat. Good parking. Beach only a block away, sometimes had parking even closer to beach across the street. Pleasant staff. Indoor/outdoor pool and free breakfast.

Holiday Inn Express is a good hotel. However I had to change rooms because the first one smelled wet and damp. They changed my room without issue and the staff was very pleasant. The second room had a stopped up sink. Maintenence came quickly and fixed the problem. He was friendly also. Now this may seem picky, but the water fountain was really dirty which is really annoying. I rated them a 3 stars because I've stayed here a few times before and I would have given them 5 stars in the past. I was slightly disappointed with my stay, but I would stay again for the price and friendly staff.

The room was up to par, clean and comfortable. We got a double queen beds room to fit 3 adults, one child and one baby (we put in a pack and play). I was afraid the room would be a tight fit for all of us but wasn't. It was perfect for our needs. The front desk staff was super friendly as was the cleaning staff as well as the people working in the cafeteria. They would greet and check on us as we ate to make sure we didn't need anything extra. Very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

It's a fine hotel — nothing special, just a room. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the free breakfast was good. The beach is a short walk away, just across Coastal Highway, and there's enough within walking distance (good food, ice cream, coffee, breakfast, donuts…). The shower heads are low though — at 6'4", the shower head was at shoulder level for me. They should clean the windows and doors going into the lobby though — that just looks dirty and foggy.

Clean and affordable. Decent complimentary breakfast. Pool is clean and well maintained. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful and say hello everytime I pass by. Breakfast area is kept clean and full. Coin operated laundry room on 5th floor. You are able to get change at front desk. Housekeeping people are friendly as well.

Overall not a bad place. First impression was, oh did I set myself up to stay in a ghetto place? Parking was a little bit tight, rooms were clean, breakfast was alright… could have use some bacon and get rid of the dried up turkey sausages, however the breakfast staffs were extremely nice and helpful. The night front desk manager (3pm — 11pm) — shift was awesome. She went out of her way around 10pm and got us 3 extra pillows that I had requested for my 3 kids. We usually stay at the Holiday inn on 17th Street when we're in OC. Overall we were pleased with the stay there.

— Great distance from the beach — rooms were clean — staff were customer service friendly — breakfast, however, was awful. Gross powdered eggs, fancy pancake machine that made hard pancakes, and cheap bacon. The best thing on the buffet was cinnamon buns that were loaded with sugar. Don't stay for the breakfast. We ended up having last night's take out for breakfast…

Stayed here for a lacrosse tournament. This is a basic place. Our room had a smidgeon of a musty smell. The pool was nice. This was just okay. We will not be returning when we come back to Ocean City. I will say the breakfast was not bad. Typical for a place like this but it was clean and kept nicely.

Great place to stay, staff are top notch, very friendly. Breakfast is always fresh and the ladies that staff the dinning room are super friendly. Never had a bad stay here.

Very friendly staff and awesome hot breakfast just wish they would seal the indoor pool in the winter nearly froze to death getting out but all in all a beautiful hotel!

The staff was very friendly. Disappointed with the room, only one trash can and it was in the bathroom, none by the coffee maker or the desk. The coffee maker had a mind of its own. The tub was dirty and had hair in the sink and on the floor. I would probably not stay there again, because I prefer to have a balcony to drink coffee in the morning and sit out there in the evening.

The staff is very friendly the rooms are very clean and the breakfast is delicious and always fresh. Great location with a lagoon, bay and play ground outside, two pools and the beach across the street. Usually the cheapest holiday inn in ocean city and the best value for your money.

Came to OC for bike week, booked hotel Thru 3rd party and got the last room for a higher rate than I would have liked, but room had 2 beds and couch which wasn't needed. Hotel is clean, staff is excellent, morning breakfast food is delicious.
