First thing first my first room had roaches they moved us to another room where the TV was dysfunctional it’s 103 degrees outside the unit was not blowing cool air, they moved us rooms again same freakin issue they said the maintenance man who has the universal remote is at his other job (like that had something to do with me)! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Terrific room. Comfortable bed, desk with chair, another chair with an ottoman, fridge. We were just staying the night to move on to our intended destination. But, I almost wish I had more time here! Very clean as well.

The worst experience ever.

Room was clean, shower was good.
We checked in around 9 pm and had no trouble. Went and had a couple drinks at the nightclub. Could not link to the Wi-Fi.

Great value for the buck! Highly recommend. Its older but really kept up nice and has an outdoor pool and indoor pool. Plus a nice weight room. Live jazz type entertainment in a really cool basement type lounge. Dont worry you can't even hear it unless you go downstairs. I didn't even think it was open it was so quiet but it was open. Good breakfast bar and very friendly staff.

My husband and I enjoyed this very clean hotel last night. It has a charm not found in typical hotels. The hotel was quiet and the staff we met were very friendly. There is a beautiful nightclub, Jerry Green and Friends, on the lower level with a wide assortment of liquors. We would definitely stay there again.

Love this place well maintained plenty of amenities. Staff is great. Nice breakfast and great night club on sight with music. Rooms are updated and always clean. Indoor pool, spa, and health and fitness room along with and outdoor pool and tennis courts.

My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Check-in was quick and easy. Lisa and Jessica at the front desk were pleasant. The continental breakfast was plentiful and a variety of breakfast foods was available. I especially enjoyed the shuttle service provided by Luke. He was a safe driver and full of information — which I really appreciated. I hope to stay here again.

Its a place to put your head. Housekeeping — later start at getting to rooms but do a good job of cleaning the rooms, being friendly, and very respectful. Just think they keep odd hours compared to most housekeeping services Front desk staff — poor communication, struggle when busy. Hotel room — very average room, small fridges, no microwaves, great amount of pillows, good amount of linens. Nice shower head Continental breakfast — pretty bland and lacked yogurt, variety of fruits. Had average biscuits and gravy. Some egg patties (but no meat or cheese to top it with those mornings). If you get room 201 or similar you may want a new room particularly if you plan on sleeping before 2 AM. The music from the basement can be heard into this room including lyrics throughout the evening on the weekends. Beyond me why they would even place people into these rooms. Better off being a linen closet/extra space and converting other spaces into rooms.

Dated, but comfortable. Despite having made an online reservation with a confirmation number, they could not find our reservation when we arrived. We eventually got a room of the correct type, but apparently someone had failed to manually transfer the online reservation to their actual reservation system, go figure. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hair dryer worked breifly, but after a scary noise and a flash of light from inside the plug, it stopped. The real MVP of the trip was the pool, which features an indoor section, an outdoor section, and a hot tub. The check in process for the pool area is a bit cumbersome, but the facilities are great. I feel like the price was fair, and I would stay again. But, a 5 star hotel it is not.

The location is great (right by the highway and close to restaurants/shopping). The rooms are a little dated, the bathroom is very small but the shower head and water pressure is fantastic and the water is hot. The corridors are almost unbearably hot, not sure why that is but you can barely breathe while getting to/from your room if you're not close to the entrance/exit. The outdoor pool is great, the indoor pool is good just too much chlorine and the hot tub could use a good cleaning. The breakfast is your typical continental breakfast. I'm not sure what to say about the service… the people here seem to do there jobs but there is no pleasantry, in fact they don't even make eye contact; it's weird. That's not exactly bad but in hospitality it seems expected. Haven't visited the restaurant/bar yet but our trip isn't over for a few days so I'm not sure if I can add to this later or not. Google pressured me for a review after only being here about 36 hours so this is what I have.

Lisa and Jeremiah at the front desk were very friendly and greeted all my parents and team members. We reserved a meeting room and had pizza delivered for the bus. We stayed last month for the National Archery Tournament and came back this month for the World Archery Tournament. The breakfast was good and hot. The outdoor pool was open for this stay and my team thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very nice hotel. Very pretty interior design and rooms setup. Offers inerior and exterior pool and spa service. Really good choice of food for continental breakfast. Rooms are clean and spacious.

I didn't think this place was gonna be suitable for my family and I. I looked over reviews they were pretty good. So we decided to give it a try. Price was reasonable, room was decent, staff was friendly and helpful. Pool area was nice but closed slightly early. Jay checked us in and was professional, friendly and prompt. We plan to stay again in future.

Amazing experience! Beautiful place. Very welcoming from the time we got there too the time we left. All the king rooms were full so we were upgraded to the suite! Very clean and refreshing after a long haul. The pool was nice and clean and warm. Hot tub was nice and working. So many hotels have their hot tubs shut down for "maintenance" so we were happy to be able to relax for a bit. Good breakfast! Nice polite and happy to help staff. We will definitely be back anytime we are in the area. Thank you!

Clean. Nice people. Breakfast was good. Biscuits gravey, eggs, cearal. Had a small fridge in the room. Would have been nice to have a few things like a microwave, bacon at breakfast and being able to get to plastic utensils later in the day. Bring you own shampoo and conditioner, the hotel's is more like dish soap. Pool, hot tub and gym are very nice.

It wasn't terrible, felt kind of like a super 8 with attachments. If your for night clubs and a tennis court, then it's a pretty good place. The rooms are standard, there is no microwave in them, however.

Very clean and customer friendly. For your night life appetite, it's has LEGENDARY LIVE ENTERTAINMENT right in the basement! There's no need to leave for the evening.

Location is convenient, right off the Watterson Expressway. The attendant at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. Jerry Greens in the basement is always a great show.

This is the perfect "Louisville" in and the grounds and lobby very meticulously maintained. The rooms are ample in size and are very clean and comfortable. The lounge downstairs is quaint and comfortable as well. I was impressed with the excellent customer service and welcoming demeanor of all the staff. In addition to all of this the price was very reasonable and I was shocked by the quality vs. Price. Stay here.

Room very clean and nice (a little dated). Quiet. Gated parking lot and well lit. Nice indoor pool and spa.

There to attend social event with friends. Found it a wonderful location for a social event such as I was attending. I did not have a room but had friends who did for the night. They exclaimed that they were extremely satisfied with their choice of places to stay.

Awesome pool! This was second time staying very clean and great staff! They are renovating so far so good.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! First of all, room did not sleep 4-6. It slept 2… 3 if you count the non-pullout loveseat. Second, some of the staff were snippy at best. Third, the room came with 5 swim tickets so if you had a group of 6, 1 person had to wait to swim. 4, We asked for something to accommodate our extra guests and received a mobile twin bed (from the 70's). Also asked for more blankets at 2am because there weren't enough (ofcourse) and they said they were out. So I'm writing this review as I lay on the cold ground, without a blanket unable to sleep. Negative stars are too good for this dump. But, it's all "because we're remodeling. " Elevator was broken but didn't even say it was. There are a bunch of small sets of stairs on the second floor that they made wheelchair friendly by slapping osb board down in the middle of. Not to mention that made rolling our belongings on their broken cart impossible to the point if you walked the bulky ramp you hit your head. Vending machines leaked horribly. Wall's are paper thin. And lastly I heard people in the room adjacent talking about shooting something up.

The location is right off the highway, near a town with several options for food and some shopping. The room was nice once we got to it from the long walk on the 2nd floor that even though we used the elevator we still had to walk down three set if steps to get there. So if you're disabled make sure to request a first floor room. They have a really nice continental breakfast, indoor pool and the night club that is part if the hotel seems to be a very popular place on Friday & Saturday nights.

For a two star hotel, this was a great experience. The rooms are somewhat dated, and the pool was a little bit of a hike, but the room was surprisingly comfortable. There are signs of renovation on the first flor, so maybe an update is coming? The staff was also really friendly, which we also really appreciated.

So outside and entry very nice. Lady behind desk was nice. Hotel was old but being renovated. Beds very hard. Only gave us 3 towels sets when there were 4 of us so had to ask for more. One night didn't have any clean. Are you kidding me. Every morning we left early when we returned our key never worked so back to front desk for a new one. On second night my daughter was swimming and life guard was useless not paying any attention on cell phone and playing grab ass with two boys that came in from outside. My oldest was going to make some coffee and when she pulled coffee pot away from wall there was a hypodermic needle taped to the wall wrapped in saran wrap. I was beyond pissed at this time since I also have a 6 yr old. So down to the desk I go and all I got was a sorry. Breakfast was nothing to write home about not waffles or pancakes. Bread was stale/hard. Very disappointed will never go back.

We stay here every year during the NAILE. It's an older but well built hotel. Nice breakfast area. Nice area in general. I'd recommend it to my friends.

Rooms are nice for 10 years ago. Facilities are in need of a serious upgrade in infrastructure. Electrical system cannot handle more than 1 plug In item. Modern electrical needs… Phone charger, laptop, anything else… If you need more than 1 outlet, you'd best bring an extension cord.

I had plans with friends for a girls' day out and this was stop 4 of the day. We had started our day with lunch followed by shopping and a stop to get out hair done. After that we decided to go get drinks since we rarely get a chance for an entire day to just hang out and do "girl stuff". I had heard good things and the bar at the Breckinridge Inn and it was nearby (which meant minimal fighting rush hour traffic) so we decided to stop by. I drive past on a daily basis but have never been in so I wasn't sure what to expect but we enjoyed ourselves. The bartender was friendly an the drinks were well balanced with the right proportions of each ingredient in the cocktail. The only issue we had was figuring out which entrance to go in to find the bar but that was easily remedied and we enjoyed ourselves once inside.

The location was ideal for the Louisville state fair. My room was in an area of the hotel which was being renovated, so it looked a bit rundown. My room itself was rather nice however, and the bathroom was clean and fit for purpose. One minor issue I had was with the lack of electrical sockets by the bed, so I had to unplug the alarm clock to charge my phone. The pool was a nice temperature and seemed clean. All in all the hotel was rather good, considering the low price.

One of the worst hotel stays ever. The man at the front desk was extremely rude. He made us wait until he was finished with what he was doing to help us get my disabled mother on the elevator, which was not working correctly. He was slamming the phone and being rude to everyone. And in the morning when I took a shower, there was hair and a used bar of soap in the shower. I've had a much better experience at much cheaper hotels!

This is a very reasonably priced hotel… decor is outdated rooms are a bit musty walls are paper thin… you can hear every child screaming every door closing and house keeping member yelling in the hallway. And on this stay there seemed to be repairs taking place In hotel room above me quite annoying! Being in the customer service industry myself allowances are made and you would not have receive at 3 star review but on my last evening here I decided to check the restaurant out. As I entered the door I was instructed that I was not allowed to bring my beverage. No problem I got rid of it… I walk back into the restaurant I was told it was closed. The posted hours are 1 a. M. It was midnight … the reason for closing early was no one was there clearly I was visiting during posted times… so what you're telling me is I'm no one? NOT COOL! Maybe if you told me originally as you said no drinks were allowed that you were actually closed I wouldn't have been so angry You get what you pay for.

Multi purpose, family and pet friendly facility. Full of southern charm and ambience the inn wraps around the luxurious courtyard and outdoor pool. Adjacent to the outdoor pool is a year round indoor pool with male and female locker rooms and a fitness center. There is at least one sauna in the men's locker room. Meeting and conference rooms are available in this independently owned establishment. There is a lounge area with live entertain most nights of the week. The rooms and amenities are admittedly not luxurious, but spacious and adequate. There is a continental breakfast provided, and although I haven't used it personally there is shuttle service available. We have stayed here previously and will definitely be staying here in the future. Unless you're looking for ultimate opulence, I would recommend checking out this affordable alternative.

Came in for a wedding and reserved two rooms one month prior and had requested side by side rooms since we were bringing in my elderly mother in law. We checked in early, which I asked for when we booked both rooms, neither was ready when we arrived. After about a hour waiting we got one of the two rooms and was told as soon as the room next to us was clean they would call me to come get the keys. They called us as we were leaving for the wedding to come get the keys, I stated it would be after the wedding since we were already behind from waiting for the first room. To my surprise they gave our room away and didn't have a second room saved at 9pm (I had made reservations for two rooms side by side and was told the second was was getting cleaned at check in) just luckily they had a second room open but it was on the other side of the hotel. So I had to get up three times and hike across the hotel every time my elderly mother in law had to get up during the night. The manager Renee was not helpful in the morning and she was the one who checked us in. Surprise surprise…
Our king room smelled like mold, however the other room double didn't have a smell. Rooms are not updated and could have been cleaned better. We were in a pinch last night since all the other near by hotels were completely booked. Horrible experience overall! Please beware! Please also read all other reviews, most are not good. Wish I did my homework!

Decent, clean, friendly, safe hotel for this area. They need to get into modern times for travelers though. Rooms need microwave and mini fridge. These are standard at even budget hotels everywhere. You have to go all the way to lobby to use a microwave. Rooms are nice and beds pretty comfortable. Property is clean and maintained. There is a bar on site. Indoor and outdoor pools. I would prefer to stay somewhere that has the room amenities I'm used to, but it will do in a pinch.

Started off with high expectations after looking at reviews on Expedia. Was important to have an indoor pool and exercise area, that is why I initially made my decision to stay here. I check in, the young lady at desk was super nice, even gave me a room near the exercise and pool area. Totally downhill from there, got checked in went to the pool area which was nice but was completely full of people, not hotel guests either. Apparently this pool and spa is not exclusively part of hotel, is open to the public with a small fee. Got back to room, key card would not let us in, after numerous attempts we finally got in. Key card never worked, it was programmed right but door handle was sticking. Once we got settled, the button on the A/C unit was stuck and it was either 60 degrees or 80. Finally got comfortable, went to sign into my laptop to check emails for work. No Wi-Fi, called front desk and they "reset" it. Waited 20 minutes and still no Wi-Fi, could pick it up on laptop but would not connect. Wouldn't even show up on phones or iPad, called front desk back and they offered to move us closer to pick up Wi-Fi signal. By that time kids were asleep and everything was unpacked so it was senseless at this point. I got up next morning to use exercise area, doors were locked and it was closed. This was the main reason I chose this hotel, it was 730 am, most people exercise in the morning. What's the sense in having a gym if it is not open in the mornings?

My family drives almost 4 hours to come to Kentucky kingdom frequently… this is the ONLY hotel we ever stay at… I have never had no problems with anything… love this place.

Tried to change our reservation from two nights to one side to getting in much later than anticipated and was charged for an entire day and night we were not even there. I was told because it was a busy weekend in town they were charging me to "hold" the room for us. I'm not ok paying for something I did not utilize! Furthermore, the hotel was mildew and smokey smelling… I was forced to sign something saying if I smoked in the room it would just be an additional $100 charge. So "non-smoking" means you can smoke, will just charge you alittle more. It's akin to Highway motel with crappy service. On top of that, their "hot" breakfast was nothing more than McDonald's style egg patties, cold biscuits, and a crock pot of sausage gravy. Terrible!

When we arrived here and checked into our room, my mouth literally hit the floor. The bed had pee stains on the cover. The chair was covered in dog hair. I couldn't believe that the room looked like that. I was horrified. Who in their right mind would even consider that room cleaned. They did give me another room but I was leery from that point on.

Great place. Booked this for me and my children for Kentucky kingdom. I booked online and kept my fingers crossed. Well it's day 1 and my kids are having an absolute blast and the hotel isn't run down and worth what we spent for sure!

We rented a room here last night so that we could spend the day at the pools, per our daughter's request for her 7th birthday (we did this for her 4th, and she really wanted to do it again). We were surprised to see how downhill the hotel was compared to 3 years ago. Mostly, cleaning issues and maintenance. The sitting chair was missing a leg (maintenance came right away and put it back on), and the screws to the door lock were stripped so it was barely hanging on (maintenance tightened them, but they came back out because they were stripped). There was soap scum, someone else's hair and mold in the grout of the shower, as well as a thick layer of dust in the vent in the shower. It seemed as if housekeeping did the bare minimum on cleaning (clean bedding, towels and vacuuming). There were no tissues in the tissue box (not a big deal, just noting), and I accidentally used lotion to condition my hair because the two bottles in the showers were shampoo and lotion! I didn't realize it until it was too late — lol! Wifi access in the room was sketchy at best. What bothered me most, was that when we were going into our room for the first time, one of the cleaning ladies was finishing a room next to ours.

The hotel was rather nice. Had a good pool and impressed with the gym concidering its a hotel gym. Problems ive had were access to the electrical outlets were a minor pain in the neck and some pins to hold the machiene weights and such seemed to be missing. The beds could be comfier. And the breakfast lacked protein items. Aside from those minor disadvantages my stay at the hotel was pretty good.

Some of the reviews you read on here are people being extremely picky. So disregard some of the gripes.
My wife booked us there for two nights. We got out of town for our anniversary and I have 0 complaints.
For the money you can't expect a five star resort so. Lets be realistic. We were sight seeing and went to Kentucky kingdom. The war in see it when you're on vacation you only use the room to sleep and then you're back out in the morning.
The room was comfortable and clean. It had everything you need or want. So keep your expectations realistic for what you're paying and you'll be very satisfied.
A comfortable bed is always first in my list of needs. It was fine.
The bathroom had everything you'd expect or want. I had no complaints.
The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 stars was the fact that there was only one snack machine and it was out of order. But that's such a minimal complaint I feel bad for not putting the review at 5.

We were very disappointed in our stay. First we were given room key card to someone elses room and didn't realize till we walked in and saw someone else stuff all over room. We immediately went back to front desk and they said "sorry, your room is 1 floor up". This did NOT leave us feeling secure — — because we had no secure way of knowing if someone might be given our room key "accidently" and if someone might walk in on us or steal our stuff. Next we reserved a KING size bed for our night away from the kids. We got a room with 2 full size beds — which left us feeling cramped sharing a smaller bed. Not very impressed with the mix up in room key card and the smaller bed.

Was a guest of a member of their pool and had a great time. The lifeguards are very nice and professional. The indoor and outdoor pool area were clean, the sauna and whirlpool were very relaxing. I am considering becoming a member myself.

We were placed in a room over the night club on a Fri-Sun booking. Nothing but bass shaking the room until 2:30 AM on Fri and Sat night. Complained but they couldn't move us because they were booked solid. They said they are well aware of the ongoing problem but were helpless. Besides that, anyone can exit the room (and adjacent rooms) and walk on the flat roof to access the other rooms, or a pervert could spy and photograph. As a retired police officer, I couldn't believe how unsecure the design is. Of course only police officers and criminals would notice that, but it is a very real threat and you better make sure your curtains are shut. Ours were, but the AC/Heat fan is below the curtains and kept them parted with the blowing air. We were credited with one day as compensation after calling to complain, but I wouldn't stay there again nor would I recommend it. People go to hotels to get some rest, not to be rumbled out of bed by loud music through the night. Aside from that, there was a large clump of hair in the bathtub. I should have read the other reviews before booking. Pick another place to stay. If you must stay there, get a room far away from the club.

The Louise vill Breckinridge has. Shower head is quite high around 5 11. Nice staff and overall good service.

Inn is super cheap, but you get what you pay for. Checked in at 4 and room was still being cleaned when we got to it, not a huge deal but stuck out to us. Continental breakfast was good, but really only 3 things to pick from. Indoor pool was really amazing though.

Lounge plays very loud music until 3 or 4 am, had a plunger in my bathroom, shower leaked — floor constantly wet, breakfast shut done early. Friendly front desk but not kitchen staff, back breaker beds and lousy pillows, no amenities but the pool, smells of urine when you use ac and if you don't smells like windex, pet friendly section, smells like — well you know. Good location though.

A little dated, but nice. Rooms were clean. The beds were full size, my only complaint, but comfortable. Pool was nice, clean, and life guard on duty. Hot tub got a little crowded, because they offer a fitness and pool membership as well. Everyone was nice and friendly. Will stay again.

Breckinridge Inn is conveniently located near St. Mathews hospital in Louisville. They have nice clean rooms. They also have a swimming pool, workout room and spa. I highly recommend this inn.

I absolutely love the pool staff. They are all very understanding of the autistic boy who has a tendency to be loud.

Hotel overall has a classic feel to it and the staff were super, super friendly. Rooms were clean but the wallpaper could have used some minor attention. But, don't let that minor thought stop you. The cleaning ladies were very considerate to our belongings when they cleaned and contrary to some other reviews, they were very friendly and when asked for a special accommodation, gave it with a smile. We booked to stay 3 days and 2 nights and ended up staying 2 days and 1 night due to our scheduling issues, we didn't ask for a refund since it was our fault we checked out early and not theirs, but they gave us one anyway and thanked us for visiting. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Louisville Kentucky.

Rooms were clean & large, though the walls are a little thin. Beds aren't the best but comfortable enough. Staff was friendly. Location is good, near Bardstown road & multiple restaurants. Bar downstairs was a lot of fun. Only complaint was the breakfast did not look good at all so we shipped it.

No complaints for the price. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were a little stiff for my taste, but that's personal preference. Housekeeping was extremely prompt when we asked for extra sheets. Location was a bit far from downtown though.

Good enough to sleep at for a quick weekend, heater smelled, wall was peeling tub wouldnt drain and first night barely any towels. Breakfast wasn't worth it. But all we needed was a cheap place to stay. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

The rooms were just okay. Staircase not very clean. Swimming pool, hot tub and steam room were good.

Motel was very clean and quiet. They are pet friendly and the rates were great, location was so easy right off the interstate The staff was very pleasant as well. Great experience family friendly.

A classic look. Great room. 4 stars are due to the inconvenient layout. Stairs in hallways etc. Housekeeping staff was not considerate. Charging down halls without regard for guests walking.

The hotel is very dated. If you go on a night that is busy for them don't ask for anything, that irritates them. The room wasn't the cleanest and smelled old. There was dust everywhere and the AC unit wasn't clean. The beds were ok but wish there was more than just a sheet to cover up with. Even though there are cameras in the hallways they allow people to literally run up and down the hallway at all hours of the night. The walls are so thin in the rooms you can hear your neighbors every time they flush. Oh yeah… there is no ac in the hallways!

Nice hotel. Bed was stiff as a rock, but some people may like that. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. Breakfast isn't much to look forward to but our last day we went to brugers bagels in St matthews, it was sooooo delicious. The breck inn is close to the highways and relatively east to get to. Great location if you need to save money as opposed to staying downtown. I would stay here again. The pool also has memberships available which makes it crowded sometimes, and the indoor pool/ hot tub could use a little renovation but still a great place overall.

The out door and inside pool are amazing so are the atrractions you have to go to waffle House.

Nice hotel. Very accommodating for me and my associates. Breakfast was great. Rooms were spacious and clean. Well priced for the area. Plenty of parking. Great location right off the freeway. I have nothing bad to say. Great place and great price.

I booked at Breckinridge Inn because I read they were pet friendly. I had never brought mny dogs with me on a trip but I didn't have anyone to watch them so I needed to bring them with me. I was very nervous about leaving them alone (which they do allow; even uncrated. The lady behind the desk actually set me at ease and told me to not be nervous. She siad they have people bringing pets here all the time. She also took a piece of important mail I forgot to drop at the post office and put it in her outgoing mail. By the time I was ready to go to the concert I came down for, my dogs were right at home and they behaved so well. I even left my Yorkie out of his crate and he was absouletly fine. If I need another pet friendly hotel in Louisville, I know where I can go. I would even stay there if I left the kids (dogs) at home. The rooms were very clean and it had a old hotel feel to it. Also the breakfast was nice. I really enjoyed my stay.

Surley manager. There are no table lamps in the room. The drive is not well marked for night driving, read no lines or lighted signs. The room is neat, clean and "nice" Its a quite place to sleep, and then drive someplace else.

16 nights on road, one best hotel, Breckinridge. Price was very low, everything was clean, room was 3 times larger than some we rented on trip. Everything was nice and worked properly. Shower head, water temperature control, water volume, mattress, in room coffee, all were fine. We did not hear other room noises or traffic noise. NO smoke smell.

Good little hotel. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. I would say that it is a slight bit rough around the edges, but the pool and grounds and everything is nice. For the price range I doubt you could beat it.

It was what I paid for. It is an older hotel and the price reflected it. The room was VERY clean, even though it was older. The water pressure and temperature were amazing. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. Internet speeds were good. Overall, I would stay again and would recommend this hotel.
