I was in my room for a total of 2 to 4 mins and then requested a refund. The room was not clean but the ROACH crawling on the wall was unacceptable… I did not get my refund I got charged twice 2 different rates… this is not the end of this …

I don’t even know where to start. We booked a room on the phone about 2 hours before we got there. Arrived and they couldn’t find our reservation, took a bit to find it even though both workers were there that we spoke to on the phone. Got our room, stayed in The room was disgusting and outdated. Stains on chairs and armrest pad completely missing, cigarette burns on bedspreads (it was a non smoking room) and a chair, walls were dirty, drawers and shelves were broken, the smoke detector was off the ceiling on a shelf with no batteries in it, sprinkler head was hanging out of the wall (given the state of the room, not sure if it was even attached to anything), outlet covers were off with everything exposed, hair dryer has never been cleaned and had funk all over it and to top it all off found a cockroach scurrying on the floor. I am appalled this hotel is still opened and running, because there is no way this was the only bad room in this hotel. We were asked for a review by the hotel in our email afterwards and the response was thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear we didn’t meet your expectations. Clearly nobody cares at this hotel and it should be closed down.

When you call the labor board due to the owner not giving last pay roll check. After allowing a customer to continue to stay and harass staff & other customers… even the owner himself was assaulted, it’s all on video! Cops get called there on a daily, but that’s what happens when you let scum stay here! He doesn’t pay his employees enough to be assaulted and continue to stay! Kentucky Labor Board will deal with him & still have to pay last check. Many attempts were made to settle this but he chose stupidity instead! I wouldn’t stay here, it’s basically a trap house.

The place looked empty which was fine but why did you put us above a kitchen eating area n check in office this room was very noisy we heard people talking all night n lots of noise my wife didn’t sleep all night. Room appeared clean but shower was soap scummed up! Told the man at check out that the room was loud he could care less he ignored me! I’ll never be back! Don’t stay in room 222 you won’t get any sleep!

This hotel is totally disgusting. Drug addicts standing in the hallway wouldn't move to let you up the stairs. Not to mention the rooms stunk stains all over the bed cigarette burns on the comforters. Then while the bathroom my husband seen a huge roach climbing up the wall. We tried to leave last night and they said they would still charge us. Just wanted to warn anyone ahead of time I would suggest you not to stay at this place!

Young man at desk at night was helpful but we took our luggage to our bikes in the morning, went back to freshen up before heading out and they were already cleaning our room. No we didnt check out yet.

The room smelled terrible, we had to switch rooms because of leaky water around the toilet. The breakfast was terrible, the beds are super small but comfortable.

Stranded, broke down heading to NC from OH. The mechanic took us up to the Econo Lodge and I can't even tell you how nice everyone was. How helpful and accommodating. We had no car and standed even after we had to check out and the staff let us stay and use the pool and facility until our car was repaired. When it comes to service and nice people this place is top notch. Very thankful for the hospitality.

Travel thru this area a great deal. Front desk staff was very unpleasant. Rooms are run down and dingy.

This place was great the staff was quick to check us in the room was clean and quite. Continental breakfast was spot on just a good experience overall thank you.

I will never stay here again. Pictures on here are deceitful. This place was just nasty. Cigarette burns in the blankets, everything smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room. The shower had no pressure, the beds were very uncomfortable. The pool was not usable due to only being half full of water. I was not able to access the free Wi-Fi, worst of all there were cock roaches. This place gave choice hotels a very bad name. Also the young girl checking me out had in earphones talking on her phone… very rude.

Great room staff. Free Breakfast consists of biscuits and gravy, cereal, milk, oj, Apple juice, waffles. Beds soft, shower amazing a lot of room for those of us who like to move around. 58 channels on 40+ inch TV. Free internet. Stay here and you will have no worries.

My soon to be son in law stopped in to rent a room for the night because he is switching jobs to London because of marriage and he was told by the night shift clerk that they couldn’t because he was under 21 yrs. Which is totally a lie! He is 19 But age requirement is 18. When I called and confronted the motel next day I was told the requirement is 18 and when explained the situation he said that they tell kids that sometimes due to young kids partying! Not a good buisness! That is cowardly buisness and this kid was so tired and could have fallen asleep driving due to the fact the motel led him to believe he couldn’t because of his age. People who cannot be truthful should not own a buisness!

Well animals should not be here dog barked for half hour last night. I have stayed here a few times and little overpriced for all the noise here but decent rooms and clean. Parking spot is decent he usually gives me a room near the back side. Overall it is pretty good place.

My room was clean. Bed fine for me and my wife. ** Smoking rooms are on the 3rd floor so if you don't smoke ask for a floor below.

Nobodies perfect, but they're not bad. We've been comin' here on and off for the past 5 years. The internet is fast, the rooms are comfortable and THE PRICE IS RIGHT. Lot's of good places to eat.

The manager thinks that it is ok to not pay employees while they are being trained. He is very rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and this guy should be fired!

I'm pretty sure the workers were hanging out in that room on break before issuing it to me. Dirty dirty dirty. Good thing I was only in there for a few hours.

This is the worse place in london ky. My mom and dad checked in on 2/9/2018. The had got a handicapped room and the bed was inaccesable for her to get on my dad tried to get her up on the bed and the people there refused to accomidate… them and refused to refund there full price of the room all they got back was a $20 deposit this is unacceptable. I guess they get off on ripping handicap people off.

Great customer service. Since I had a dog, he put me in back corner on first floor so easier to take dog out. Manager was really nice. Room clean and had everything I needed.

3 bed bug bites on my arms in room 203. Sink and shower were dirty and hair everywhere. Never again will I stay there.

Smoking room had no openable window, rooms open to hall way, not outside. Hallways are pokey and creepy. Bed covers were burnt with cigarette holes, and so were tables. The shower was great. But the room smelled bad even for smoking rooms.

Has a decent continental breakfast. Rooms are clean and they have smoking and non smoking rooms (smoking costs $2.00 extra) and pets cost an additional $10.00 each)

Dirty… poor service. As soon as you opened the door the first thing you saw was the dirt on the floor. Everything Dusty… looked like someone had been laying on one of the beds. Will never stay there again!

I spend half of My Life in motel rooms, I do power line work. I get a per diem, so I try to find the most for my money. I have stayed here 3 nights a week for over a year. East Kentucky is ate up with bed bugs, does not matter if you spend 200 dollars a night or 100 dollars. You better know how to check. Never did I see any, and only saw a few bugs in a years time. People say the internet does not work. In a years time, only one time did it not work, and the reason was, it was being upgraded to a faster system. I am not saying this is a 5 star motel. 5 stars is for the bang for the buck. It is a older motel with older furniture. It has some wear here and there. While I stayed there, hardwood flooring was put in the rooms I stayed in, which I prefer. New flat screen TVs, and new mattress. One time my room was not cleaned well. I simply told manager, when I returned it was fine. You may find a small stain on a sheet or towel, but It has been laundried. One house keeper is right down awesome. As far as the help, you can blame the government for all the free handouts. Manager had a very hard time finding people who would work. 5 stars all day long for what you get for money spent. Your a cheap ass for staying at a econo lodge, don't expect the Hilton. If you want a motel like a Hilton, then go to the Hilton. Someone complained the air was not on. Who other than this person would expect a motel to heat and cool a room when not in use? Thank you econo Lodge for a great stay!

The rooms were not cleaned, the shower still had hair in it. The overall condition of the room was poor and staff was rude. The sliding door on the bathroom was broken. They claimed since I was alone, I didn't need a door! Ugh… I won't be going back there. Update; My sister in law had problems with her a/c in her room across the hall. None of the rooms had the air on when we got there, but hers would not cool at all. She went down to the front desk and they agreed to give her a new room, however, it was the dirty room with the broken door, that we just left. The cleck declared that he cleaned it… nope!

Will not stay here again. Not clean and the rooms were hot as a sauna when we arrived. Not friendly at the front desk. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great rates for us as disabled seniors. Didn't get a chance to use the pool due to family obligations on this trip. Clean room, convenient location in London KY for visiting local family. Continental breakfast was good with lots of variety. I would use this establishment again.

Staff members are very rude you only have two towels they get smart if you ask for more than you have to take them your dirty no switch for any no extras took all day to get one roll of toilet paper ask for garbage bag cause it was over flowing ask for a blanket the one on bed had cigarette holes all over it and were in a no smoking room they said no to the blanket room was decent was not impressed at all and it's like they don't realize without people renting the rooms they wouldn't have a business.

This was the worst hotel I have ever experienced. The room we got had cockroaches and spiders along with their web. Those non smoking rooms had such bad smell of smoke that our clothes started stinking. Don't even think of going here.

Found a cockroach in the room. The pool water was slightly brown in the hot tub. We didn't have towels in our room. It was cheap, though.

Very disappointed air/ heater wasn't working right. Shower curtain had ceiling paint all over it, bathroom was nasty! Sink was nasty! Curtains in bedroom has ceiling paint all over it! Had baby roaches crawling in bathroom! Beds was comfy. That's all I can say about the room.

Owner is very rude. Suppose to be a pet friendly hotel… I've seen other pets. However was told not to have my dog here… Found bugs in the bed. Hot tub doesn't work. All around bad experience.

I'd give this place a 2. First of all they had no extra pillows or blankets so take some with you if you have to stay here. The check in guy was nice but when I first called I asked him if they had good internet and he said yes, well needless to say it worked for awhile and then stopped and didn't work for the rest of the night. When I first walked into the room and used the restroom, there was hair in the shower. As far as the beds, they were clean. There wasn't enough towels in the room and when I asked for some I was told they didn't have any and was given pool towels, which anyone who stays in hotels knows they're small as can be. The hot tub didn't work and the pool wasn't clean. If you're just looking for a place to crash without reliable net then it'd be ok. Check out the baymont inn as they're amazing.

Room is great and clean. Furnitures and fridge are clean. Linens are great and clean too and we found no bed bugs at all. Staffs are friendly and accommodating. This morning we woke up early and their breakfast were ready and everything was great for breakfast. Hallways are clean and no obstructions. During our first day their housekeeper came to collect garbage and changed wet or used towels so it was a great help to live and stay in clean and comfortable room. I considered it a great place to stay than the other motel we stayed at the other night in another town of Kentucky. Thanks.

Really nice staff he made me and my husband feel welcomed. Room was clean showers were amazing and he allowed us to see the room before we purchased it… I would stay here again we didn't have problems with bed bug that's a plus. Overall nice hotel I'm satisfied.

My experience here was terrible. I paid for 3 nights in advance and in the second night I discovered bed bugs and was refused a refund. Will be contacting local news and the better buisness bureau.

Was forced off the road by the winter storm the front desk but was helpful with all the chaos that was going on. He gave my kids snacks to take to the room since we hadn't eaten and no all places around us was shut down. He worked his self around the clock and even helped me get my car out off the snow. He was so kind. Thanks to him…

First time we stopped in it was great on the way back we stopped at 5pm for a room which was 216, pulled the covers back to lay down and pubic hair everywhere on the bed. Hair in the shower along with dirty used wash clothes and towels. Pubic hair in the sink as well. Called front desk girl said I can't clean it because I'm the only one here. Switched rooms to 217 which is supposed to be no smoking smelled like cigarettes, ashes all over the bathroom floor, bedding still was not clean. Food still in the fridge from the last person, food wrappers on the floor. Shower was not clean, sticky stuff all by the TV. Check everything before laying down, sitting down or putting your stuff away. The girl at the front desk was super nice wasn't her fault the cleaning people didn't do their job properly.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It smelled. Non-smoking rooms were smoky. The sheets were stained and full of cigarette holes. The room was dirty. Whatever you do, don't open the room fridge… you will regret it. The young lady at the front desk was friendly, at least.

Terrible housekeeping, rude management. Good luck if it snows, but they will lie to your face about getting their lot plowed. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE! I stay at Econolodge regularly and this one is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in.

Ick. NEEDS WORK, much work. Needs Fitted sheets. It smells. Buckets in the hallway. No to minimal exterior lighting. Did I mention it smells. Staff and fellow patrons are nice.

I have stayed here several times and it has always been a great place. Secure parking, Great customer service and really a great deal. Highly recommended.

Nasty nasty! Hot tub was GREEN! Don't waste your money staying here! Mgmt does nothing, just nasty place, look else where, be smart! Don't let them rip you off like they did me.

Our room was secured with a debit card and paid by cash the following morning. Days later the card was charged as well creating a cascade of over draft fees on my valid bank charges. The motel owner was uncaring and unhelpful. Refuses to help a single mother who's only mistake was trusting them to do the right thing. He even threatened to NOT issue my credit! In the end credit was issued nearly a week later. Cost of the room, $49.60. Add in the extra charges they caused me and the grand total $189.60 for a dark cramped third floor dungeon room. If I save one other person from this place, writing this review is worthwhile. For now. I am borrowing grocery money.
