I stayed at The Marshall House for the 4th of July holiday and I fell in love! The staff is wonderful as well as the place itself! I love the history it has and the look. If I had to change one thing about it, it would be the stiff beds though. Other then that, I would recommend 100 percent. Stayed in room 414 and room 320. Was well worth every penny! 💜🥰

Online the pictures of the rooms make them seem so small, they are not at all. Staff seems really nice and breakfast was very good.

Gorgeous hotel, well located. Fun evening wine and music hour. Staying in the Juliette Lowe Suite which would have tickled my late Mom who worked for the Girl Scouts in the 1940’s.

We just left today! My daughter and I spent 3 nights and had a wonderful time! The concierge Cameron was very helpful setting us up with things to do before we entered the building! Zac was very pleasant and helpful with our boarding passes! They have a wine hour with old music in the lobby. Breakfast was pleasant the food and coffee were hot! The hotel was quite, charming and clean! We will stay again the next time we visit!

I can my random trip was great thanks to Eve & Zac who work here! They went above and beyond and all the staff is great and polite! If any issues very quick to resolve, rooms here are amazing! Would return and recommend to anyone!

Absolutely fantastic! Every single employee here was warm & friendly. We always felt welcome. The wine & cheese reception in the lobby is fun, especially if the lady playing the harp is there. She rocks! Breakfast is 100% worth checking out, as well.

All the modern amenities with all the historic charm! The Marshall House is right in the heart of the city, just blocks away from all of the major tourist destinations. The hotel was clean and very charming. We stayed in a queen room and it wasn’t very spacious but large enough to work for what we needed. The bathroom was very tight but we managed. I highly recommend enjoying the continental breakfast that is served each morning, it was delicious! If we visit Savannah in the future, we would definitely consider staying at the Marshall House again!

My wife and I stayed at the Marshall house fir an overnight trip to Savannah. The staff is very nice and friendly, the location is perfect distance from everything downtown. They are a bit pricey but it is a nice, upscale establishment. We received complimentary champagne and they had live music as well. Our room was nice and quaint, with a king size bed, tv, and nice bathroom. The cool thing about the hotel is the elegance of the architecture and decor. If we're back in the area, we will definitely look to see if staying at the Marshall House is an option.

This inn is very large and BEAUTIFUL! It is wrapped in history. The staff exceeded my expectations for customer service — everyone from the valet to the front desk staff to the porters. I have nothing but great things to say about this Inn and the people that run it. The price was very good in comparison to other similar properties. We will definitely stay there again!

The Marshall House is a fantastic historic hotel in the historic section of Savannah, it is within walking distance of everything in the old section. We had excellent service during our stay in early June and the staff was always concerned about the heat as we went out on walks, offering us ice cold bottled water. We enjoyed the evening sessions in the lobby, especially the history talk. This was our second visit to the Marshall House and we will be back again. Oh, if you are going to Leopold's Ice Cream, be prepared for a long line, but the ice cream is worth it! Enjoy.

Loved my experience. Awesome hospitality by staff — they really go above and beyond. Bernard was truly the best part of our stay and Leanna was very kind during checkin. If you are staying under someone, be prepared to hear them walking around if they wake up in the early hours. Other than that, it would be 5 stars and I will be returning!

Beautiful and quaint hotel, centrally located in downtown, that claims to be the oldest hotel in Savannah. It is an excellent start for your historical tour. It sits among many restaurants and is very close to squares, shops, theatres and parks. It is also a short walk to the riverfront. Staff is friendly and our room was spotless.

Self-claimed oldest hotel in Savannah, this charming hotel has a comfortable Old World feel, while having most of the amenities you would find in a modern hotel. The lobby is gorgeous and as you climb to your room, the tall ceilings and old hardwood floors make you feel like you’ve gone back in time. Great restaurants attached — tho $$$, and a central location to great dining, shopping, and a short walk to the River Front. We enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely stay at the Marshall House. The location was perfect, the service was impeccable, the rooms nice, the decor fantastic, the porch amazing, etc. Be aware, however, that this is a 100+ year-old building. The floors aren't always level, the bathrooms are kinda crammed into the rooms, and the air-conditioners are almost deafeningly loud. But it comes with the territory, and boy is this old building cool.

Our room is wonderfully historical and comfortable, though the view from the window isn't good (201). Stopped at bar for drinks and food. The shrimp and grits and the smoked duck pizza was awesome. Our bartender, Wade, was fantastic. In the evening between 5 and 7 they have complimentary wine and cheese in the lobby and the manager/historian gives a presentation on the history of the hotel and Savannah. What a treat. We chose The Marshall House for our Elopement / Wedding Destination. Everything went even better than we expected! The Hotel is perfect, great location. Everyone is so professional and friendly! We will be back for our anniversary to Savannah for sure, and we will not think which hotel to choose, because we already know that Marshall House is the best choice!

The Marshall House is a true gem! My husband and I were looking for a Savannah hotel that had southern charm & history, but still offered modern amenities and we found it in the Marshall House. We stayed in a Broughton Balcony room for 3 nights. The rooms are exquisite with 12 foot ceilings and original hardwood floors but the furnishings, cable & Wi-Fi offer modern day comfort. It is also centrally located in the historic district so that River St. City Market, numerous squares and house tours are all within easy walking distance. But what really sets Marshall House apart from all of the others is the exceptional service. We were greeted every morning at the bottom of the stairs with a hearty 'Good Morning'. Staff members were always available to offer recommendations, directions and any other assistance needed — with a smile. Even the general manager could be found checking you in or pouring your coffee in the morning. I highly recommend staying at the Marshall House when you visit Savannah.

My Boyfriend and I love the Marshall House. The front desk clerks Lisa Baisley and G have both taken great care of us when we stayed there. The location is great. Being right in the Historic District. I've enjoyed "The Blend" coffee shop across the street. We love Ghosts. The Marshall House is known to be Haunted. We have always slept well and been comfortable. The area has plenty of things to do. I'm sure you will enjoy staying here.

This is a beautiful historic building that really has been either very well kept or renovated while keeping all the old charm. It is a great central location that is within walking distance to so many things, was very reasonably priced, and the staff was very friendly. I had a nice time and was very fun to stay at a place with such character. I would definitely enjoy staying here again.

Historic and done beautifully. Right in the city within walkable distance of everything. Rooms were nicely furnished and a comfortable size for an older building. Amenities were excellent, like wine and cheese in the living room at 5:30, with a harpist playing; candies in the room. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Valet parking optional, or self-park in garage. Southern charm.

Lovely old hotel with lots of character. The rooms can be small compared to modern standards, but we were comfortable. The breakfast is about $11, and it's a basic buffet. The location is excellent right in the midst of everything. They provided complimentary earplugs due to the location being so central, and while they was very courteous of them to include, they weren't necessary in my opinion at all. I would certainly consider staying here again in the future.

The staff is incredible, so friendly, fun and polite. We had a three night stay for my birthday and they left complimentary balloons and champagne as a gift. It’s a great location walking distance to everything you could possibly want to see. A quaint and homey feel with lots of history. I highly recommend to anybody visiting the Savannah area. I cannot rave enough about the hotel.

The best customer service I have ever had at any hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Savannah. It has great history to it in fact on Wednesday they serve free wine and cheese and talk about that history. All the staff are helpful in finding places to eat and fun activities to do. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is absolutely nothing I didn't like about my stay.

We've stayed here for years passing thru to Florida. The rooms are great, most importantly the staff exceeds any place we've stayed. Always pleasant and accommodating. We love it there. No ghosts tho, I keep waiting and watching.

Loved the experience. I was a visitor for a tour for history and ghosts. I love the history behind the original reason the building was built. It's beneficial to learn about this building and some of the helpful aspirations it intended towards modernized medicine.

This place is awesome. From the minute we pulled up until we left, it was first class all the way. A little spooky, but first class. The staff was awesome, the room was small but cozy. No view whatsoever, but who needs a room with a view in Savannah?

Absolutely fantastic stay! From start to finish, everything was great. We stayed on a Tuesday night, which meant we could sit in on the free wine and cheese hour while listening to a local historian tell the history of Savannah. The Inn Keeper also spoke to the crowd, touching on the history of the Marshall House itself. I have to give a special shout out to the front desk employee that checked us in — — Ceiara Grant. Extremely polite and courteous! She was very helpful and accommodating to every question I had, even the ones about which rooms were the most haunted. By the way, we stayed in room 315 and, unfortunately, no ghosts visited.

Such an amazing hotel! We stayed in a beautiful king room for two nights. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. I definitely would stay here again. Carlton, Bernard and Caliegh were very friendly, they had a great sense of humor, helpful with all our questions. They made us feel very welcomed.

I loved the history of the hotel. I left a note for the concierge to have a note for my wife and a Lilly. It was left and she was surprised. I truly appreciate the service. Downfall, our fan was covered in a heavy coat of dust, the air return was covered in a heavy coat of dust and the shower leaked the entire time. I would imagine if I am spending over $200.00 dollars a night in this type of hotel I would expect simple efficient luxuries. I was disappointed in my stay up to the point after all the hard work the concierge had done for me. I left and stayed at the Hampton Inn, it was not as close but definitely cheaper and nicer than my room at this historic hotel.

Food was absolutely exquisite. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we decided to get 6 appetizers instead of 2 big entrees. Best idea ever! We had the escargot, 2 different pizzas, fried green tomatoes, capreccio meat plate, and the bread! Hands down most amazing! Our waitress was most informative.

For my part the rooms was very spacious, very clean bathroom correct in size, impeccable staff, breakfast in a very nice room, and a nice presentation. Right in the heart of the city.

Passed through Savannah and stayed a night at the Marshall house with wife and kiddo. Wow! We have stayed at the other historic hotels in town and this place is the best. Service was amazing and all the staff was top notch. Rooms are really historic but still have the comforts of home. Breakfast was reasonable and delicious. Please remember to slow down and wait a little in Savannah.

A beautiful historic hotel that has been well maintained despite its age and history. My only complaint would be that they listed their double bedded room as a double room when that's not the case.

The Marshall House is great! The staff was great. My wife and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary and were surprised with complementary champagne! This was above and beyond, this really shows the class of this hotel.

The best part about the hotel is location. It's right on Broughton Street a few minutes from the River, accessible to many notable restaurants, and a block over from Leopold's ice cream. Next best thing has been staff. From Thomas who handled our luggage when we pulled up the first day early for check-in to Kathryn who cleared our tables at breakfast, everyone has been very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and is held in what used to be the courtyard (now with a roof), and an evening cheese reception was offered as well. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi was free (and hassle-free), and the price was right. Why stay in a typical chain hotel with standard features, when The Marshall House has the same comforts — plus, charm — at the same price. I would definitely stay again. (A tip: A few rooms in front have access to the balcony overlooking Broughton. )

Just came back a couple of weeks ago. My first time to Savannah and a friend of mine told me about the Marshall House. It was wonderful. The staff the rooms the hospitality increditsble. I highly recommend staying there. Clean friendly judt wonderful.

Very nice ambience, never had any ghost experience. Very friendly staff, they were all very helpful and liked giving recommendations of where to go. Also we able to tell us what places to stay away from. There are plenty of places to see here and places to eat. Would definitely recommend hotel and will definitely come back.

I have a long history with the Marshall House. Not only am I a local resident, but I have stayed at the Marshall House numerous times over the last 10 years. It is by far one of the most exquisite hotel experiences in downtown Savannah, and is haunted to boot! I wonderful experience for any traveler coming to America's most haunted city.

The historical district is so beautiful and the Marshall House right in the Middle. We had a great visit, Marshall House providing a social every afternoon giving you an opportunity to meet people from other parts of our great country and the world.

On our honeymoon we spent several nights here, because we had heard that the place was haunted. We did have several strange occurrences with items being pushed off end tables for no reason and the sounds of heavy footsteps in the night above us. When we asked the front desk if anyone was staying above us they said no one was in that room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Their breakfast was delicious and we had a wonderful time. Please consider this place if you go to Savannah!

This place is wonderful! Rooms are spacious with nice bathroom. Beautifully decorated and authentic, cheerful, helpful staff. Free wine and cheese every evening, breakfast buffet in the atrium which is bright and sunny. Close to almost everything so you can walk. Highly recommend!

The doorman, or whoever he was, was very arrogant and rude to me not knowing I was a guest. He also parked his tan ford truck illegally causing a disruption in traffic.

Everything about the Marshall House is charming, historic, and authentic. We knew from the moment we met the staff at the front desk that this would be an amazing experience. And we were not disappointed. The staff is super friendly, and genuinely wants to help you in any way they can. They are always available, even if you have a simple question about where to go for a great dinner. They laughed with us, encouraged us to enjoy the complimentary wine and cheese, and just went above and beyond throughout our stay. Our room was perfect. We kept trying to find ways to describe the coziness factor, but you just have to see it for yourself. Everything feels so completely historic, yet you are surrounded by modern amenities. The gorgeous wardrobe hides your modern-day essentials, and your antique nightstand hides your mini-refrigerator. There are touches of comfort around every corner, literally. Breakfast is served in the atrium which features the original bricks from the early-1800s. They will tell you it's a continental breakfast, but trust me, this is the real deal. We had spinach quiche, fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice, and a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. The food was fabulous. We sat on the soft couches in the library and read the paper over our cups of coffee. We checked our email in the business center, and headed out for an afternoon of walking and shopping. The location could not be better. We will definitely return to Marshall House.

I just returned from a 3 night stay at Marshall House and it was AMAZING! The decor is spectacular and it's the perfect setting for a trip to explore the history of Savannah. Comfy beds, nice rooms, free Wi-Fi, yummy breakfast, free wine and cheese, and excellent location. The only slightly negative thing I would say about this hotel is that it's on a busy, somewhat loud street. I had trouble sleeping one night because people were outside screaming and revving their engines (it was a Saturday night and I stayed in a balcony room). But, that's not the hotel's fault. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

My wife and I live here in Savannah, and we love staying at The Marshall House. The staff is very pleasant, especially the valet. We try to stay here on anniversaries and special occasions.

As a local Savannah resident, it is an easy call to put visiting guests at the Marshall House. In fact if we are having an event with out of town guests, it makes an amazing central point for explore the city. I would categorize it as an historic boutique hotel. My favorite personal room is any one that opens onto the balcony. You have to climb through the window to go out, as early on buildings were taxed by the number of doors. So eclectic like Savannah.

Beautiful old hotel in the middle of downtown Savannah. Pros: Extremely convenient location, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Super friendly staff, good continental breakfast, and decent amenities. Cons: Because of the age of the hotel, the door to our room did not close flush with the door jam and we subsequently could hear everything outside our room, which was right next to the elevator and open stairway, and presumably everyone outside could hear everything from our room (basically no privacy). Also, when the AC unit kicked on it was very loud, woke me up a few times. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

This was mine and my wife's first time in Savannah and we picked the Marshall house for it's price. I have to be honest the route to get to downtown and to the hotel had us a little worried. We didn't know what to expect. We've had plenty of experiences where the pictures do not look anything like the real thing so we were a little skeptical. But was greatly surprised at the location, right smack in the middle of the downtown experience with tons to do around it and within walking distance of the Riverfront. The warm welcome began from the valet to the concierge to the in house restaurant. It has magnificent architecture and alot of "WOW" factors. The bar was warm and inviting. Our room was another surprise with its charming, romantic, and peaceful feeling. We are definitely planning another trip to Savannah and we will be staying at the Marshall House again.

Looks old fashioned and expected less than excellence in rooms but was pleasantly surprised. Being tall, old fashioned usually ends up with me squished into a small tub and a shower where I need to do the limbo to get my hair wet. Ceiling mounted shower head and claw foot deep tub eliminated those problems. Staff is excellent and make you feel special. Being recognized on the street as we approach and the door opened for us like we're royalty was a nice touch. The bed is very comfortable. It's the first time I've wanted their bed at my house.
