This hotel should be shut down. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

Room was dirty under the couch and in the bedroom the floor was dirty. Outside grounds were not kept up no grass just weed.

1st, I booked one night online. I have two dogs. Online it said 20 per room per night. When I checked in they charged me 40. Literally 50% of the charge additional. I told her I wanted to cancel because that was not what it said online. She said I would still be charged. 2nd, the elevator was flighty. Literally there was so much dirt all over the walls. 3rd. Walk in the room, it looks nice enough, until my granddaughter spilled a little water on the wood portion of the floor. I cleaned it up with a wet wipe.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. We drove from Dallas to Macon and arrived to La Quinta at 11:15pm. We have 3 rooms. We open up one of the rooms and it’s trashed and looks like people are still there. We went to the front desk to figure out what was going on. The man at the front desk informed us there were no more rooms and he had just sent away another man who booked a room yesterday and when he walked in to his room people were asleep in the beds. We had 3 kids sitting in the hallway at midnight trying to figure stuff out. The man said no one was in that room so we asked for sheets and cleaning supplies and we would do it ourselves so we could get our kids to bed before midnight. He had one set of sheets and wouldn’t go get any more. When we checked the room again there were no people, but it was trashed. It smelled like vomit, the floors are sticky, the toilet, sinks, and shower were disgusting, one bed wasn’t made, and there was trash everywhere—-including chicken wings on the floor! It was beyond us cleaning it. One bed had not been slept in so we ended up moving that mattress to one of our other rooms, put clean sheets on it, and had people sleep on the floor. The man at the front desk did NOTHING to figure out a solution. We asked for a refund/cancellation on the trashed room to which he said he couldn’t. 🤯 He had 2 other people in the lobby who had booked rooms but were being turned away. Needless to say, the supervisor will be seeing us when they arrive at 7 in the morning.

It is convenient and near Carrabba's (which we love) but room was dirty and smelly. Would suggest they stop using carpet in dog rooms.

Terrible. Dirty room and bathroom. Not even a boxed breakfast. Front desk said they don’t have a housekeeper. Management needs to deep clean this place. Don’t stay here!

Disgusting filthy nasty Wyndham should look into this place, NEVER AGAIN.

Great place that offers a family environment as well as pet friendly I will book this hotel again.

It was a nice big bright room. Clean except for the dirty clothes someone left behind in the closet. Close parking and lady at the desk was pleasant.

Very clean employee ate nice and vey quite area clean very welllighted up.

Only here to sleep, but generally nicest among Wyndham motels. TV wouldn’t come on but that’s OK. Back on road at 6am.

Because we have pets we ALWAYS stay at a La Quinta. This particular La Quinta was VERY nice. Lots of places to walk your dog, several places to get take out, not just junk food and a VERY friendly staff.

We checked in close to midnight. The original room we were given had not been cleaned from the previous guest. We were given an alternate room. While it had been cleaned, the room next door had clearly not been cleaned. The equipment in the fitness center is worn out and in need of repair. The breakfast is not as good as what you would get from competing hotels. The only hot items were biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so hard that they could not be cut with the plastic utensils provided.

Mold on sink, mold on toilet, rust coming off bars in shower, someone else's hair on shower wall, caked on dirt on drawers of clothing chest, no fan in restroom. Breakfast was decent. Not many places have hard boiled eggs. Workers were pleasant and courtyard around pool was pretty. But the room honestly made me long for the morning shower and checkout. Ok location, good price.

The room was clean. There was adequate parking. The pool and hot tub were nice. The breakfast was good. Plus, it's pet friendly. That's my favorite part. :)

Great place to stay! They were able to honor out request for a room on the first floor close to door so our dogs could be easily taken outside to go potty and we greatly appreciated that as this is our first time traveling with them. Great breakfast and they have senior rates.

They we're both very clean. They we're in great position for transportation. The room service was always on time. Very nice hotels.

We stayed there for 10 years in a row 2001 to 2011 the hot tub was down the last 2 times my youngest son and I was going to stay 6-9-2018 thru 6-11-2018 this time the hot tub is still down they are not going to fix it and the exercise equipment is not working, my son like the tread mill. They use to have the hard boiled eggs without the shell now they have the shell on them. We stayed there because we had a few good memories but this place got worse we left today 6-10-2018 a day early. We will not be going back there are a lot of better hotels in the area.

While the room was fine/large/felt safe, the hall carpets were stained, the door to the parking lot was broken, and breakfast wasn't so great. They ran out of coffee and when another guest asked the front desk, she said they were very short staffed and couldn't help. She was pleasant however — had people waiting and smiled at everyone, patiently answering questions/checking out when I'm sure she was overwhelmed. A coffee table made out of a metal bongo drum set (cool in a children's play room maybe? ) was not a good idea when you add in someone else's preschooler, no coffee, barking dogs, and a humid breakfast/lobby area (rainy day). Granted, there was coffee in our rooms we could have made ourselves, but you expect fresh coffee at breakfast.

Nice and relatively new hotel. The staff was friendly, the location is good and is only a few minutes away from Starbucks and groceries, walking distance a local bar and grill and waffle house, and is just off of the interstate. Rooms were comfortable, and some downstairs rooms had direct access to the courtyard. Breakfast was not impressive. The only protein was hard boiled eggs, and they were not impressive. Coffee was acceptable.

Easy check in by phone while traveling. We had a very comfortable king suite. Freezer in fridge was good. Very comfy bed.

The Macon lq was great! It was in good repair. Our suite had the hinged french doors separating the bedroom, the temp was as we like it. Desk clerk was pleasant and efficient at check-in. Breakfast was fine. Area clean. They don't have scrambled eggs or meat, but hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, etc. Reasonable and no pet fee.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They are pet friendly so my cat came along with me on my trip and we were warmly welcomed to the hotel. The pool is small but very clean and the room was immaculate. No complaints here!

Clean with friendly staff. We were in room 143 — a king bed room. Very clean. It has a door leading to courtyard and pool. The bathroom door does not lock so if you crave privacy do not get this room. It was not a problem for us. I would definitely stay here again. Also near lots of restaurants.

Great hotel easy to find. Rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is pretty decent. It does end too early in the morning so if you sleep in you will most likely miss it. Super close to the highway and right down the street from a ton of food and shops.

Got there with reservations. Room they assigned to us was not made up. Very disturbing. After 12 hours driving this was not what we needed. They discounted room 10.00… big deal. They should have discounted more. Poor housekeeping quality control. Nice breakfast. Room we finally received was fine, but that should not have happened.

La Quinta is the best for pet owners. Friendly, affordable, and clean. I don’t give it 5 stars because the room key never worked properly. Had to go to the front desk to reset more than 3 times. The breakfast was not good no eggs, bacon, not even a bagel. I would still return since its a great value and comfortable.

I couldn't be more pleased. The room was modern and clean with a spacious desk/table. The water pressure and hot water temperature were the best in any hotel I have stayed. Quin at the Front Desk greeted us with a smile, was friendly and so helpful. Wonderful that they have a hot breakfast… the bagels were fresh, the waffles were delicious, the apple juice was sweet and refreshing. Great job La Quinta.

Great hotel. Very attractive. Kings are definitely worth the upgrade. Beds are so soft and comfortable. Not hard to get to and close to Cracker Barrel. I will make this my stop between Nashville and Savannah from now on. And I can travel with my dogs.

This is a SUPERIOR Hotel to stay in. I have been here 5 times. It is always the same great service at the front desk and spotless rooms. We drove an extra 2 hundred miles to be here because we know what to expect and are never disappointed. Come see for your self!

Seriously was upset by this place. I called and made reservations asking two specific questions based on the reviews I read. What time is breakfast? "6 to 10" he replied. Went to eat and he told us we couldn't until 7. Next question "Is your pool open"? "Yes"! Was the response… We get our bathing suits on and are ready to go and its locked… At 5:00 pm and it was a very warm/hot day. This was a very bs situation where some lines of communication between staff members are broken and those paying to stay are the ones who suffer. I have children, which is why we chose with a pool… Seriously upsetting. Oh and they haven't got baby beds/pack and plays in yet. Apparently.

Rooms are very clean, no fridge in room. Beds are comfortable but they are double instead of queen. Too small for two people. Breakfast is not very good. Staff very friendly.

Awesome staff, VERY clean room, ample parking and I have a crew cab long bed dually truck pulling a 20 foot enclosed trailer. No issue parking. We will be back when travelling through, which we do twice a year.

Enjoyed our stay. 100% pet friendly, no issues. Staff was wonderful and welcoming. Will definitely choose La Quinta for our next stay with our two cats. Update: Every staff member who worked Wed 9/13 deserves a raise. They worked their butts off after a lot of employees quit unexpectedly due to the intense increase in hurricane evacuee traffic. Thank you so much!

This place doesn't have queen beds and we were told they did when we booked this dump, stay here for 5 days our linen was only change twice, no microwave no frig, the bathroom wasn't clean everyday nor the carpet in the room they emptied the garbage can and made the bed that's it. Don't stay here, oh and the so called hot tub well it wasn't hot. The beds were hard as a rock and the pillow are so small and hard flat, the rug in the room 131 near the window smelled like pee. Look at the bathroom and coffee maker with no pot and the sut coming from the air vent. And some kind of bug trap behind the night stand what is that j.

This place is great! Very friendly! All they need is to make it kid friendly maybe like having a playground inside or outside or have a area that is ment for kids to play like some kind of activities. It would help parents after a long trip to try and get the energy out of them so they are ready to go to bed! I think that would be great and awesome.

The first room with 2 double beds was spacious, but as we walked in all the lights were on, the ice bucket was missing, and the TV did not work. It was obvious that someone was assigned the room prior to us and changed abruptly. The front desk had to know this but assigned us the room anyway. When I went to notify the front desk of the broken TV she apologized and said the TV works when it wants to and that it was supposed to be fixed because the room was no longer on the maintenance list. What an inconvenience. The second room with 1 king bed was smaller but still an ok size for 2. The room needed cleaning, coffee stains on the counter by the coffee pot and hair. The next morning we left the room at 8:15am and returned at 7:36pm and the room had not been cleaned. The front desk said they were getting to it and that the housekeeper was new. Absolutely unacceptable, the standard here is below average with no urgency for basic customer satisfaction. I do not recommend this hotel.

Customer service was above and beyond! Very clean room and a nice breakfast. If you're needing a place to get a decent nights rest with an easy check-in experience, this is the place.

It was great… Just a bit noisy with people coming and going and it wasn't as clean as I am use to. My 3.5 pd yorkie found a crayon in the room!

An aging property suffering from lack of maintenance. Door keys not working, exterior doors out of order, cleaning of rooms is lacking, and minor maintenance issues will make this a bad property on a year if management doesn't take notice. This is our hotel we stay at on our way out of state and we may be looking for another hotel.

The hotel had a bad smell from the moment I walked in the lobby. It was like years of cigarette smoke mixed with something else just as bad. I asked if I could possibly get a mini fridge as we were staying for three days for a convention, but I was told they don't offer them and only king suites had them. When we got to the elevator the smell only got worse, and it was even worse stepping out on the third floor. Our room was not very clean either. The bathroom vanity had hairs on it from previous guests, I assume. I just got an icky vibe from the moment I walked in. The gym was a joke, and the equipment that was there looked like it was falling apart. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The cups for coffee were so small it would have taken three of them to equal a small coffee almost anywhere else. Overall I was very disappointed and I won't be staying there for our convention next year.

Very clean and professional. We checked into a non smoking room but the privious people had smoked in it, they transfered us right away to another room. It's right off the interstate but very quiet!

Hotel smelt Luke cat piss and skunk weed. Our mayress was ripped open completely down one side. Like someone was hiding something in it. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was nothing special.

I write this as I sit in room 247 at the Laquinta Inn … I chose to stay at the Laquinta Inn (Riverplace/Macon GA) again because I had a pretty good experience with my stay here about 2 weeks ago. I made reservations online and checked into the hotel around 10 pm. I had only been in the room for about 2 minutes when I see a ROACH. I killed the roach and prayed I would see no more. A few minutes I killed a second ROACH. I called the front desk and the lady was very apologetic and offered to refund my money as the hotel is completely booked and that most of the hotels in Macon are also booked because of a Mercer event. Not wanting to have to ride around with a 4 year old trying to find another hoteI, I stayed. I walk in the bathroom and there is a long blond hair on the sink. I'm so disgusted with this place and it3s supposed to be one of the nicer hotels in Macon. I will not be staying here again. Before the night was over, I killed 2 more ROACHES. Laquinta has to do better. Oh yeah, the front desk rep was nice enough to take 20 dollars off of my room.

Very disappointed. No garbage cans by doors. Garbage is stacked up in and all around ash trays by doors, much of it dog feces, which is a health issue. Informed front desk of this issue at 2:30 pm and was told it was being cleaned up. Reported at 5:45 pm it had not been cleaned up and was getting worse. At 7 pm the garbage pile continues to grow, not only by entrance but in parking lot and adjacent grounds. Rear entrance door doesn't lock and leaves have been blowing in hallway since yesterday. A four inch uncapped pipe in midst of parking spot in lot, if not a safety issue a good place to drop something never to be found again. Weird french doors on bathroom that do not close tightly. Paper thin walls. Usually stay at LaQuintas, but this one is very disappointing. Will not stay here again.

Front desk lady was nice at check in, called about the TV not working correctly never came to the room to check it out I went down to the desk couldn't even talk to the girl she was too busy got no help so we gave up. The bed was comfortable bathroom could've been cleaner. Was a little late for breakfast the man was trying to help I guess but he came across wrong at first. Not sure about the return trip here though.

About what you'd expect from a mid level hotel. Great breakfast! Halls smelled like smoke. Very strong odor, but from did not. Avoid third floor.

Overall nice place especially for price. It would be a 5 star if they listed on their room descriptions that they are pet friendly. I love pets but our family has some allergy concerns and not aware until after we check in and see all the people with dogs coming in. So a room that has had pets in it is not something we would have booked had we known. Appears newly remodeled and clean. Could be more attention to detail with some stuff behind the pull out couch.

Overall a good hotel and I will stay again. There were some minor maintenance items like a little mildew in the shower's caulk, latch being broken (room 307), hallways on third floor smelling like smoke (rooms did not smell), and two parking lot lights being out. Dog friendly, wish they had a dog poop station. Breakfast was good, but not the best.

This hotel was fantastic. I showed up on a rainy and nasty evening (tornado watches in all directions) with no reservation and had zero problem attaining a room for the night. The lady working the front desk was polite and courteous. The room itself was inviting and probably the nicest of any La quintas that I've stayed in. Pet friendly as well.

Very large room (suite) but can be noisy, hearing neighboring rooms. Also the tv's come on at high volumes and make loud noises when going on and off. Nice decor. Very pet friendly. Hallways smell like smoke.

They are renovating and the room we are in is already done, very nice! Friendly staff and quite clean.

My first impression was a that it was in need of some repairs because the wallpaper was peeling on the entrance we came in at to get to our room. After that, I was pleased. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff won me over however. They were so helpful and even gave us two spare foot mats to use for our cat taxi after my senior kitty soiled her towel. Will definitely stay at La Quinta again. :).

We had a great experience here. Helpful and friendly employees. Rooms were clean and well decorated. It was nice and quiet. We slept well.

Typical LaQuinta but nice two story lobby. Very comfortable beds. Flat screen tv. Average Internet speed. Clean rooms. Under 80.00 a good value.

Worst service possible. When desk clerks discriminatory behavior was pointed out to her she refused to rent us a room. No reason was given. This is a poorly run corporate owned motel. Reached out to corporate for help. Waited three weeks to get a response. Corporate is terrible to deal with. They tried to blame it on me. They then tried to buy me off with a free room. I'd rather sleep on a park bench. Terrible motel run dont walk away.

DISCRIMINATION.! My family was refused a room when I pointed out to the desk clerk that her behavior was discriminatory. We reached out to La Quinta for help. This happened three weeks ago. Customer service has still not returned our call for help. This is a company owned Inn so franchise holder is not to blame. Corporate office and legal departments have not gotten back to us. Shame on you for your abhorent behavior. Avoid this motel at all cost.

Hit and miss. Nicely updated rooms with great decor. Loved having a recliner in the room! Pool, however, was disgusting and in dire need of cleaning. It was full of leaves, bugs, trash and more and (I kid you not) growing more than a little algae. I used the pool net to clean out the hot tub (ice cold) enough for my daughter to swim in, but was sorely disappointed by such a mess after such beautiful rooms. Fire the pool service and this will be a great hotel.

We have over 300, 000 rewards points with LaQuinta in the past year. This is our favoirte hotel chain and we stay with it almost exclusively. I was HUGELY DISAPPOINTED in the accomodations with this location. As Elite Rewards Members we are entitled to certain upgrades. We arrived at the hotel and saw huge banners "Newly Remodeled Rooms". They are very pretty BUT. At this location they "upgraded" to a room with NO AIR CONDITIONING. Additionally, it was a mile across the hotel on each floor to get to. While there were ample equivalent rooms available to rent on their web site, I was told that to get a room with working air conditioning we would have to hike all of our belonging again, across the hotel twice, and then accept at downgrade in the room. In addition, the computer center had no ink in the printer at all. When I asked for replacement the desk clerk came and shook the cartridge and pretty much said tough luck. While the hotel appears safe enough, the slide lock on the interior of the room is attached to a plastic facing and in our room the facing had cracked from the lock. Our "newly remodeled" room had several broken features. The refrigerator is tiny. Overall, I have never had a truly good experience in any Macon, GA hotel but I really think this is inexcusable.
