Great desk at the front desk and in the Mclub… I highly recommend this hotel.

I have been a die hard loyal Marriott customer for the better part of twenty-five years. Yet, the Columbus Marriott always stands out in my top five in the Marriott lineup because of the employees. I haven't ever been in another hotel that every staff member thanks you for choosing to stay with them. They want to build relationships with their guest. Both new and repeat guests and it truly shows. The hotel is always very clean and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The location is in the heart of the city revitalization. Their M Club Lounge has repeatedly proven to be well stocked, clean and comfortable. The restaurant, Houlihan's, offers in room delivery for the nights you just want to stay in and chill. But the people are definitely the heart of this hotel. They have been very successful at creating a home away from home for their guests.

Very poor experience at premium prices. When I complained to the Marriott website I still got no resolution. I won’t give my money to this hotel or any other Marriott property if there is another choice. I made several attempts to contact someone in customer service that would listen to me without any luck.

The staff is amazing and friendly. Extremely clean and well maintained. Convenient to walking downtown and enjoying the restaurants, and river.

Outstanding location, accommodating staff, well-appointed hotel with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds and bedding. When checking-in, staff gave me some interesting history of the area and the hotel which I very much appreciated! One of the reasons I chose this hotel was that and it was walking distance to dining and it did not disappoint. Took the restaurant recommendation of the front desk staff and glad that we did. Ended the day with a relaxing stroll along The river last night as well. They offer A Car and Driver which is very convenient for my need to get to the airport this morning. I was looking forward to the late check-out but disappointed by housekeeping knocking repetitively on my door before 9 a. M. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say 10 except for the abrupt wake up this morning.

Great experience so far the Manager Sebastian was great and very accommodating, very attentive to our needs.

Terrible experience. They overbooked the hotel leaving people with reservations without a room. The guy at the reservation desk could have cared less. Terrible experience and no one cared at all. Called the main Marriott number and no one there cared either. So upsetting.

Let’s see there is a hurricane currently coming through the area and our room window is raining. Our A/C isn’t working. Which for me and my roommate kind of sucks just a little. The staff is awesome though the lady came up here and apologized for this. Yet when I looked at the window frame this is an occurring situation that needs to be addressed by the owner. The building is amazing, but the owner needs to fix these issues. But I’m just a consumer what do I know.

We visited Hoolihan's for dinner and drink. Our server Olivia was great! The food was amazing and the mixed drinks were good too. We will definitely be returning.

Quality hotel with excellent amenities. Definitely a step above other hotels in the area. The rooms are clean and well cared for, and the lobby is grand. Houlihans restaurant in the lobby had delicious food and friendly service. I would not hesitate to enjoy dinner here again. The one negative that I would point out is that the air conditioner in the room was noisy, and did not remove the humidity. The temperature would reach the desired number, but due to the high humidity, the room never felt as cool as it should have been.

The hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. The location is great and the restaurant downstairs is an added bonus. My 2 star rating is due to the customer service being odd — it took me over an hour to speak with someone over the phone three different times I called prior to arriving. When trying to make a reservation for an additional day, they said they couldn't and had to wait until the actual day to book the room. Different discounts were offered depending on who I talked with… it was all just strange for a Marriott. The hotel was very nice… just call when you have a lot of time to kill :)

Love this hotel. Been coming for years. Close proximity to downtown restaurants and bars. Staff is great. Only reason 4 instead of 5 stars is little things. The doors are hard to close to the room. You have to slam them to shut and it's loud. It's not very convenient when trying to sleep. Also, maids need new vacuums. The room above me was getting cleaned and sounded like a power drill above my head. Was working nights and inconvenient when trying to sleep.

Absolutely fantastic customer service! Every single staff member I encountered greeted me and asked if I needed anything. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and always ready with a bottle of water. All with great big smiles! Well done!

I give the Marriott In Columbus GA a — 5. They put us on the sixth floor knowing that there was no air and the whole floor smelled of mold and mildew. Even our room was in very Poor condition. We were there for a Family Reunion from July 6-8, 2018. It rained inside my room and when I say rain I mean it poured down rain. It even rained in the Hotel Lobby. They had the nerve to put out caution signs and buckets to catch the water. I’m very disappointed because I’ve stayed at this Marriott on many occasions and this is the first time I’ve been disgusted with any Marriott property. My husband and myself have been with Marriott for over 40 years and this experience was the most disappointing ever. I’m very upset with how they’ve let a beautiful piece of property just go downhill. My husband and I have to rethink and search for better hotel accommodations. Marriott has lost all my respect. My rating for the Columbus Ga Marriott on Front Street is a minus 5.

The Marriott staff was polite and courteous. The room was spacious and very clean. This hotel is located in a premium spot with lots of social eatery type establishments close by. The Columbus Marriott has a Houlihans restaurant on the main lobby floor of you don't want to go out on the town. There are plenty of 4 star restaurants near by.

Giving 4 stars because the building is old and our room leaked lots of water after a rainstorm making it musty and humid. Again, because of the building the room layout is dated. HOWEVER, the staff was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating and the hotel satisfied our inconveniences with the room to our liking. They really aim to make things right for you. A special shout out to Virgie for her efforts. She is so pleasant. Overall, a pleasant stay. We will return if in the area again!

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. 4th day with a/c not working. Multiple request to the front desk, nothing. Requested manager to call, no response. Desk clerk told me last night the room would cool off when the sun set. Not what I would remotely consider “top notch” customer service. Was supposed to be here weekly through the end of the year. Nope. Back to the Hilton Garden Inn and I recommend you do too!

I have been to this venue several times and they does not disappoint. Overlooking the Chattahoochie River which meanders through Columbus and is also inside an old foundry the Civic Center has old feel with refined details. Great Spot for large gatherings.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The outside was very well lit and the inside was clean. I will be staying there again when I'm in the area.

High price for old stain and torn drapes. Stains on bathroom walls. Need maintenance in bathroom around bathtubs. Spider webs need clearing out. Rug need cleaning and room need airing are refreshing to alleviate mildew scent and closed up ordor.

Was an awesome experience! Fluffy pillows and super comfortable bed! Great place to stay. Clean, restaurant in hotel was great and everyone was super friendly!

Very nice stay! Clean, plenty of towels. Enough length on the pull out sofa for my 6'2 grandson to sleep comfortably. Nice selection for breakfast but hard boiled eggs were a little rubbery. Other than that stay was wonderful!

The best choice in Columbus Georgia in historic surroundings. Starbucks in the house.

Loved the hotel. Stayed for a few days for a conference. Staff were warm and welcoming. The public areas are a perfect blend of historic and modern that really suits the Columbus riverfront. Nice restaurant with outdoor seating and a coffee shop for the morning too. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. Plenty of space for two adults. The minifridge is always a nice amenity. Would certainly stay here again if we were in the area!

The hotel is in a great location, close to the river and downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful, the lobby is beautiful. Now for the not so good. The rooms desperately need updating from top to bottom. The restaurant on site is average at best, the service is terrible and the food is not that great. Would give 4 or 5 for the hotel if the rooms weren’t so rundown, they are disappointing compared to the beautiful lobby.

The Marriott is the perfect place to stay for your visit to Columbus. The location is close to local area attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

When I tell you this place knows Customer Service, they are top notch at what they do. From the time I walked in EVERY and I do mean EVERY employee working there greeted me with a smile. The staff went out their way to make me feel comfortable and at home. The rooms spotless and cozy, the generosity and hospitality was immaculate! If hotel's around this area or around the world, had to be trained on service, I would definitely HIGHLY RECOMMEND, this particular Marriott Hotel. I know that whenever I come to Columbus again, this will be THE ONLY PLACE I chose to stay!

First suggestion: Don't go to Columbus, Georgia. Not very nice. Hotel was a grist mill, renovated into a hotel. Almost 300 rooms. Pretty nice place. Service was great. Pricing for room, $200/night, was ridiculous (I didn't pay). Bar/restaurant area looked nice.

This is one of the best and most unique Marriott‘s we have ever stayed at. We spent four nights here. The staff was pleasant and always smiling even the service personnel would wish you good day. We stayed in the old renovated part of the hotel the rooms are really unique and show a lot of the old mill style brick and beams on the walls. The bedding was typical Marriott meaning very nice mattresses very nice bedding and comfortable. Wow we had our meetings here we had the opportunity to have a few meals served by the hotel. The food was excellent, served well, and had great presentation. If they were any deficiencies the staff made up for in their attitude and smile’s and their welcome greetings.
This Marriott is in the middle of everything, walking distance to some of the finest restaurants. Couldn’t think of a better venue for our meeting and time off. Loved Columbus!

A wonderful hotel tucked away in the heart of Columbus GA. From the moment I walked into the lobby I was greeted by Reggie who has one of the most amazing personalities. You will feel welcomed by everyone. The rooms are perfect for a easy business convention stay or weekend trip.

The staff here is above and nice. Each staff member greeted me with a friendly and kind attitude. The location is great for walking to the downtown restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms are nice, only disatisfier is the train and whistle which can go by at any time.

There's a sincerely nice and caring staff at the Columbus Marriott. Reggie the bellman was especially warm and helpful! The staff here compares favorably with the staff at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, which is saying a lot! Thanks, you guys!

Beautiful property, helpful staff. Rooms are a bit small, and the 2am and 5am train is not comforting. Great breakfast buffet.

Beware of theft and terrible hotel decline. I had hotel staff go into my personal cosmetic bag and steal my prescription medicine. This was not sitting out so do not leave items in your room. The police did not act surprised when they arrived to write their report. The hotel did not assign my room based on my Marriott preferences. The bathroom had mildew. The overall hotel needs paint and looks old and outdated. There was no hot water at night for bath or for shower in the morning. The equipment in the fitness center is broken and the room is a terrible dark, hot space. My coworkers also had terrible experiences. It is best to find a different place to stay.

I stayed the night at this hotel and got charged twice. When I called up there they couldn't find me in the system and I asked to speak with the manager she was busy. I called 2 more times throughout the week still nothing. I even went up to the hotel 7 days later manager still busy and still haven't called back. I don't know how they conduct business on a professional level. If you are looking for a good hotel where you are valued as a customer I would look else where. I contacted my bank and they said that the manager will not refund my money due to me not being in the system. Well if I'm not in the system then give me all my money back right? Both charges!

Great experience! The staff was excellent, everyone we met was very nice and helpful! We stayed in one of the king suites on the mill side and the room was large; brick walls, wooden beams exposed, comfy bed & clean restrooms. Train is loud but we only heard it once a night & it didn't last long. Our family will definitely stay here during our next visit to Columbus!

Rooms are dated, furniture didn’t match, old gold lamps mixed with silver more modern nightstand lamps. The tile in the room is old and dingy. Poor bathroom lighting. Counters are low and I’m only 5’5. Hotel is next to an active train line with long trains and a loud horn. Trains run through the night. It feels more like a motel instead of a Marriott. The area is nice as well as the conference center but this hotel needs a major upgrade.

No ac in hallways. A little warm. Our ac didn't cool properly. Excellent friendly staff. Offered to move us. There for a reunion and not worth the effort.

The hotel is located across from the Columbus Iron Works conference center where I attended a conference. It's very convenient to downtown coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Common areas are clean and attractive, though the decor is somewhat out of date. Staff were courteous, professional, and helpful. My room was in the main part of the hotel and was a bit musty. The furnishings were a little worn and in need of updates. This hotel is directly beside train tracks and trains honked loudly during the night. My shower squealed loudly. Would recommend this hotel to those wanting convenience to a conference, but only if you get a deal on the rate.

One of top Marriott's I've stayed in! Very unique entrace hall and historic feeling. The staff is extremely kind and always with a positive attitude. The ladies running the concierge lounge do an amazing job. Thank you for a great stay in Columbus, GA.

Love Marriott's, very classy place and hip, staff extra friendly, or just southern hospitality on top. Nice larger regular room, it is just time for some renovation, some ceiling tiles show water damage and tub could use chalking, little retouchs, possibly on their time line already to do. Oh hotel in historic building, old corn milk factory from 1880?, nice brick architecture with wooden support beams. Really it's a 4 and a half star just cause room condition atm. Easy to be five. ⭐

Great location, very comfortable bed, fridge and microwave. It's hard to beat. The attached restaurant had a good breakfast. The hallways in the hotel are not air conditioned like newer buildings, but the rooms are excellent. I went back and lowered my review after experiencing several service issues. 4 separate times I had to return to the desk because my magnetic key would not work. Management was not bothered by this at all. There are better hotel options.

This is a great place. Beautiful. The staff were all lovely. I noticed some trolls giving very sexist reviews. Don't believe them. They were very professional and friendly.

Great location. Closer to many great restaurants. Clean rooms and I love the shampoo/soap products provided. My complaints are my room doesn't seem to get cold and you can hear EVERYTHING. Almost seems like walls don't exist. Also my check in was messed up initially, they only put me for 1 night when I said 3 initially. Got it fixed the next morning.

I had the best stay! I visit this hotel frequently and always enjoy my stay. The staff is so very nice and the rooms are always clean and tasteful. I stayed in one of the Mill Suites for the first time. It was the best room! The history of the room was fantastic, the exposed brick and wooden beams made you feel like stepping back in time. I will be sure to request the Mill Suites in the future!

Improved and updated from last time we stayed here. Employees very friendly and helpful. Glad we gave them a second chance. Walking distance to everything downtown and Bay Ave.

Walls and doors are paper thin. Management does nothing to police noisy guests which have been plentiful during our long stay here. Gym is an overflow playground for kids from pool. Rooms are old. Lobby looks cool and restaurant is good, but probably worst Marriott stay I've experienced.

We hosted a Squadron Leader Resiliency retreat there today and it was a great event. We ordered both breakfast and lunch and both the food and service were great. Only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars was that it would be great to leave the coffee service through the seminar.

This hotel had the most friendly and helpful staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. Southern hospitality at its finest. I wish I could remember the name of the fine lady who was cleaning the hotel late at night. When I needed to do laundry she personally showed me to the laundry room, provided a few spare quarters and REFUSED my offer to repay her. I hope that she is well rewarded for her exceptional service. Excellent location, as well.

They reason why I've given it two stars is because of the old air unit. It literally groaned. The compressor, I guess was going out, and as a result cold water was soaked into the carpet. We couldn't sleep with it on so we had to sleep in heat. Also the bathrooms are outdated but nothing to really complain about. The staff was beautiful; very nice and helpful. The view is great as well.

I was dropping my wife off as she was attending a conference, from the little exposure I had I was very impressed. My wife said the room is fantastic, and the hotel bar is a great place to unwind. Should I have a need to stay in Columbus in the future I will definitely look at staying at the Columbus Marriot.

Downtown Columbus is a beautiful part of the city. And the Marriott matches that beauty. It is with in walking distance of several shops and restaurants.

Train tracks and the train made noises at night. Understandable as the place used to be a mill. Still was annoying.

The beds were so soft and comfy and I was able to always get amazing sleep.

First time eating at the houlihans. Delicious!

They were helpful and very professional I just couldn't seem to get through the phone to customers device in the lobby.

Stayed in the Presidential Suite the night of our wedding. Beautiful two-story room with living room, large bathroom, and beautiful view from the old Mill. Great historic Marriott location!

It is a lovely hotel and very beautiful. The service was fantastic.

This hotel really needs to be looked at by Marriott organization as a whole. This is not a full service marriott at all. There is no spa, there is a very small and outdated gym and a pool that appeared to be old and untreated. This entire place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. I understand some updates have happen its still not enough. This place needs to speed up the elevators and have more than 3. The floors needs to take up the old carpet and fix the curtains in each of the rooms. Update the entire rooms and bathrooms. Have a secure parking lot in the back of the hotel and have more lighting so you can see at night. The store/coffee house closes early so if its closed there is nothing you can do about getting things you need. So again I say this place is NOT a full service marriott.

I had my rehearsal dinner for my wedding at the Marriott and also stayed in the Governors Suite the night before and night of my wedding. Julie and the catering team are awesome, no issues with them. They are responsive and kind. However, the booking portion of the hotel was a complete and total mess. First off, I wanted to reserve rooms for my wedding party. I was told there we not enough rooms available for that weekend that I needed/wanted. That was fine, I totally get it if the rooms are not there. I asked that my sister and some members of my bridal party be put on the wait list for rooms. Two days before my rehearsal dinner I called to see if rooms had opened up, as I had not heard anything. Not to my surprise they had. I had no notification about this, my sister switched her reservation, however, three couples did not because they didn't have enough time and frankly it was inconvenient. The biggest blow was my check in. While I was setting up for the dinner, my husband was checking me in. They had screwed up my reservation, and set it for the wrong days. This was SHOCKING to me as I had roughly 10 emails from Mary Schreiner the Director of Sales stating she was able to secure the suite for me the day before my wedding and the day of as I requested. I even had a scanned copy of the credit card authorization form that I sent her with dates, signatures, everything. At first they told me that it couldn't be fixed, that the best they could was offer me a king room.

Accomodations and Staff were great. This is convenient to everything. Thank you for accomodating the Tandem group.

Good stay. Like the automatic piano playing by itself in the lobby the air conditioning on the floors near elevators is freezing. the night train passing by in the downtown around 10 pm or so sometimes makes noise (luckily not midnight) coffee shop offers more than coffee, lot of smoothie options. Walking distance to nearby restaurants Mill suites above coffee shop/restaurant seems cool, however it's near the street where train passes blowing loud horn (one at night around 10 pm which is ok since u r still getting to bed, however the morning 3 or 4 am one should be banned for blowing horn continuously in a city downtown where people stay. Get a car horn. Don't know who owns the train — gov or private). The mill suite rooms have cute train though with ear plugs on it for people to use. The elevators on mill suites are stingy with some odor (maybe due to ventilation) and someone could make it smell fresh.

This is a very fine hotel indeed. The Mill side as well with The Governor's and Presidential Suite I haven't seen in years! A townhouse suite within a four star hotel. Excellent hospitality service especially Houlihans wait staff superb dining. I enjoyed my weekend stay from start to finish.

The hotel is nice but dated. That might be part of the appeal to some. It's the most convenient hotel to downtown though. It is right by the railroad, so that can get loud especially if you're on the Mill Suites side. The staff has always been fantastic though! Friendly and efficient. Also, there's a Starbuck's downstairs if you like that kind of thing. The rooms are comfortable, and the TVs are big if you need to relax after a long day. There is a decent looking pool area too, but I stayed on the winter.
