Pics made this place look beautiful. In reality. It's just a few years away from being condemned. The smell was horrible.

Franchise changed to Baymont and under new management. The rooms are so nice! Would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Very close to the airport and only a 20 minute drive to Fort Benning. Very friendly and proffesional staff. Good assortment of breakfast items for the continental breakfast.

It's an ok hotel. There are barking dogs next door. Also, we had a group of senior adults, and they put many of them upstairs and then charged us $300 to help with the luggage. Be aware of this. If the man asks if you need help with luggage, you will be charges. It's not just a tip.

It was terrible. The sign says Hampton but it's not Hampton standards. I worked at Hampton it had a lot of the Hampton items. We found roaches in our room, the TV screen was filthy, the rooms smelled moldy, our white socks were black just from walking in our room for an hour before bed. We came as a group of 8 in two rooms, to be polite we declined room service and asked for towels and trash bags. The housekeeper stated she did not have enough towels in the morning but assured us she would bring them to our rooms. There was one of us napping while the others went to do stuff we asked her to just leave all the towels and trash bags in the other room she said sure. When we returned only one room received towels and neither received trash bags, the trash from the one room was set outside the door it was never pick up. This place is not up to Hampton standards.

1) This place is old, that's forgivable if it's well maintained or regularly updated, but this place isn't. The towel hook was falling off of my wall, the shower controls are so ancient I've literally never seen anything that resembles them, and there are noticeable cracks and paint chips in my room. One of the bed frames in my room had a sharp piece of metal jutting out of it too? It's weird. 2) The staff is bubbly and nice at the front desk, but I can't give the staff a solid rating because part of the staff are who cleans the place… and they don't do a good job at that either. There were cigarette butts outside my room, which, I thought nothing of, until they were still there days later. Same for a dirty coffee cup left outside. Additionally, there was visible dirt on my tile floor, and not like stuck on its not coming off, but like I wiped it away with a tissue… so I'm not sure what their cleaning procedures are but that leaves me a bit leery. 3) This is the old format motel, which is not what one expects from a Hampton Inn. I wouldn't have said anything about it if not for the above. Likely as a consequence of this, I've had several bugs get in my room over the course of the stay, which… isn't unforgivable in and of itself but add all of this up and it's just a terrible experience.

Hotel is not worthy of Hampton Name — $ 2, 000.00 went missing while we stayed there evacuating from hurricane Irma — Can't get a hold of no management at hotel. Even if we don't get our money back, they should talk to you and their employees to avoid it happening again. All the other Hamptons I've stayed were great, including one not far from there in Alabama.

I have stayed in probably hundreds of Hamptons over the last 20 years and one of the things I always say is "it's a Hampton" — meaning, consistent, clean, nice hotel. The Columbus GA hotel was an exception. We checked in on 9/7/17 and were told we were in a smoking room (that this is what was booked on Expedia) and it was the only room. Being late at night and other hotels being booked, we took it. The room itself was run down, old, and basically a motel (door opens to the outside, versus being an interior hotel). In the morning when we were leaving, I opened the closet and saw a cockroach running around it. At first, I wasn't sure, but it went on the ironing board and I could see it clearly. I told the woman at the desk when we were leaving and she didn't even flinch. She simply said, "You might get a call from our manager later. " I didn't. We then went from Columbus to Eufaula, Alabama where we stayed at another Hampton and it was night and day — clean, newer, nice rooms, no bugs. I'm surprised the Hampton let's the Columbus GA Hampton use their name…

Hotel was clean and a good location. Not your "regular" Hampton Inn, but the price was right! We would go back.

Although the girl at front desk was very nice, we couldnt believe that this hotel was part of the Hilton chain. Outside access to our room and the 60's carpeting made it feel like a Motel 6. Although it was relatively clean, one or more flies in the room kept me awake. Will never go back.

Decent girl, conveniently close to the airport and the Landing shopping center. Large outdoor pool, rooms are outside accessed. A reasonable amount of parking around the perimeter. Room was clean, but smelled strongly of cleaning product. Has all standard Hampton Inn amenities, and all the staff I've met was friendly.

The location of the hotel is convenient, with multiple restaurants and stores nearby. The military base is also very close by. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, however the outside was somewhat run down looking. Vending was not available, but water was provided free of charge. Service in the rooms is very quick and clean. A good hotel all things considered, the outside could just use some touch-ups.

Lovely pool, helpful staff, efficient use of lounge/buffet area and convenient to army base. Clean rooms, new appliances, and fresh linens.

This hotel is absolutely unprofessional! We booked a room online and drove an hour out of the way just to find out they gave our room away. When they offered us another room it was nasty and smelled like someone had just smoked a whole pack of cigarettes right before we walked in. It didn't happen to just us there were a couple other people it happened too. I think we should get something for gas that was wasted…

This room was extremely horrible upon arrival there was bloody sheets on the bed the housekeeping did not clean room. The receptionist stated that she would give me clean sheets and wanted me to change the bed it was 3 o'clock am when we arrive I did not want to change sheets on the bed please bring Lysol wipes Clorox.

This is the worst Hampton ever. I had to change room two time, the bed had dirty sheets on it when I went in. I had to call when to change it, they came 15mins. Later. Then next day the door could not closed. Then there was no light in one of the bath room. One of the heater didn't work. A waste of money. And no customer service…

Older hotel but well taken care of. Staff were ALL great. Courteous and helpful. Rooms and other areas were kept clean. We were here 5 nights for a softball tournament. The breakfast area was kept clean and replenished despite 4 teams eating for 3 of the mornings. Quiet area with two cute shopping areas and several restaurants within safe walking distance.

Great place to stay. Clean. Nice breakfast quick access to local venue.

Smelled like wet dog. Moldy food left in fridge. Nice staff, but laughed when I said the owner must be one cheep guy. "True that". Stay away this is not the Hampton inn you get elsewhere. It needs to be deflagged by Hilton… at best it is a Motel 3

This hotel is listed very conveniently near the airport. The rooms are MUCH cleaner than other hotels I've stayed in before, and the staff is very kind.

Location was good, but rooms smelled bad and had pet Hairs, bathrooms really are too small. Also, customer service at front desk not very professional. Was very disappointed in this Hampton Inn compared to alot of others we have stayed.

Nice hotel for price, an older style hotel with outside room entrance. Rooms are nice and clean. Air-conditioning is cold and beds are super comfortable! Nice bathrooms and showers. Pool area is a little small but that's not a biggie for me. Love that they have mini fridges and microwaves in the rooms and free breakfast each morning is pretty good. Overall a nice place to stay.

A little old very clean nice staff other than housekeeping knocking on my door twice this morning I had a great day.

This is an older motor inn type Hampton Inn but the rooms have been updated. The beds, though only full size, were the most comfortable of any hotel I have used. The bathrooms were recently updated, very clean, and more spacious than I anticipated. The breakfast area was very contemporary, clean, and well kept. The complimentary breakfast had full choice of cereal bar, yogurt and fresh fruit, oatmeal, fresh waffles, eggs, grits, sausage gravy, and biscuits. The kitchen hostess/ cook was cheerful, hard working, and conscientious. The front desk personnel were professional, courteous, and very helpful. It was also VERY quiet, just like they said it would be. A great value, we will use this hotel again should the need arise.

Ok for the price. The ac was cold but did not take the humidity out of the air, clothing and towels felt wet.

Standard Hampton experience. Professionally courteous staff. Nice rooms. Decent breakfast.

My first visit to Columbus Ga. I loved this Hotel. Yes it is one of the oldest in the area but the staff seems to take alot of pride in this place. The front desk ladies were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean. The pool area was very nice. The parking lot was very clean. The cleaning staff that we spoke to on several occasions were very friendly and made us feel like they were there for us! I can not say enough about this Hampton Inn, I would definately stay again.
