My room was extremely clean and housekeeping did a great job each day. All staff were pleasant. I arrived early and they were able to give me a room right away. I needed to extend my stay and this was not an issue at all and I was able to stay in the same room for the duration of my stay. It is also located close to restaurants and shops; some are even within walking distance. I will be staying here again in the future.

Good location in relation to the convention center. Good value, however bathrooms need some repair and updating. Staff were courteous and efficient. Easy check-in and checkout!

Staff is great and pleasant to visit with. Its an older hotel but still in great shape. If the breakfast and fitness center had more options it would have 5 stars from me. Thanks for the hospitality guys!

The staff were courteous and helpful. I was promptly provided with a microwave after realizing it was missing upon checking in. The breakfast food service was excellent.

Staff were great and extremely helpful. The room was nice and the complimentary breakfast had a good selection. I wish I would have tried the pool The only thing they should add would be to have a better remote for the tv. For example, have a 'guide' (like regular cable remote at home) so you can see what's on and what channel. It's a pain to have to look at the paper channel guide and then go from channel to channel to see what's on. Overall, a great stay! Will be coming back again soon! Thank you!

Our room was given away when we arrived. Fortunately for us they were able to switch someone else's reservation to give us a room. The lobby smelled like wet towels. It seemed like there was a leak from the ice maker. The elevator seemed like it was going to break down at any moment. We didn't spend much time in the room, so it didn't really matter.

Decent motel near the airport. Overnight after arrival or before the return flight.

Friendly staff and good budget hotel. The location is very convenient as it is close to major roads to get you around Tampa and it has several good restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Coin laundry (1 washer, dryer) and complimentary breakfast a plus. Though it is by a large street, it is quiet. However, this place is dirty. The soles of my feet would be black within minutes walking on the carpet. There was still dirt on the carpet (walnut, small pieces of scrap paper, nail clippings — not just one or two, a lot of dirt right around the night stand where I suppose it is harder to vacuum) when we came in, and even after room service. I opted to put a "do not disturb" so room service not return after the first day of stay because they didn't do much cleaning (made the bed, but the sheets were dangling on the dirty floor where the nightstand was. It was not tucked in on one side! ) and my toilet was dirtier than when I left it (I had wiped everything clean with Clorox while they swished toilet water on the seat and the water streaks were still visible when we came back). A good overall budget hotel, but cleanliness can be improved.

The absolute worst place to stay. Do not go here. They literally stole our money and ran our credit card a second and third without our authorization! the manager is extremely rude and treated us with the utmost disrespect! we still have not received our money back from the. Hotel which had just been deposited that selfsame day! we were screamed at by the manager and told that his staff didn't run our card. When she admitted it right in front of him! he then stated that even though it was her " error" there was nothing they could do! what sad is that it would have been our first stay at any best western.! this mananger and his staff completely turned us off and I have diamond status in many hotel travel. Clubs! they should be ashamed! I am livid! next up… news channel! watch out for these words if your money comes up missing. " oh call your bank" when the statement clearly shows " best western" and your missing amount. Smh!

This is my third time staying here. Manager George and his staff always go the extra mile (without requests) to make your stay an enjoyable experience. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast and smiles all around! I've stayed at the larger chains here in Tampa, but none compare.

Best Western — Tampa — Dale Mabry South Ad a group stay at this hotel for a Pre Cruise get together. Hotel is really clean, has a hot breakfast including waffles, eggs, meat, cereals, toast and fruit. The pool is a great place to relax. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Wifi is very good. Will certainly stay here again.

Nice staff. Great price. Still sorting out rooms after upgrade renovations. (need to include room safes)

One night stay, no complain. I make sure I went for my free breakfast. No resraurant, but they provide me a list of close restaurants. Thanks again.

Personnel at the desk was blissfully unaware of how to fill out tax paperwork for my room. (Training failure) The room was given a once over but not cleaned as “treasures” can be found in most corners of the room. (Dirt and a bobby pin in the bath and a gum wrapper between the bed and nightstand. ) The decor wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. The chair for the desk wouldn’t stay up so I could type; I gave up and sat on the large chair instead, not conducive to work. Also, the room had a funny smell that I couldn’t place which may be annoying to those with a more sensitive nose. Regularly getting take out menus under my door makes the place tacky. (Suggestion: put a rack in the lobby where I can pick these up. I don’t need my floor littered with these daily. ) The minimalist gym is useable but not wonderful due to its size. NO ROOM SAFE! For that, I will not stay here again. Location is good as it is on the main strip. Though this is a drawback if your a runner. (Who wants to run on city streets? Suggestion: provide map to nearby running locations and routes. ) Breakfast is good with waffles as an option. Fruit is limited but instant oatmeal and green tea are available. There are vending machines with some snacks and drinks for something quick. They also have lemonade and coffee available all day. I did appreciate having a small fridge and microwave in the room. Though I didn’t use it. In short, not thrilled.

Stayed for Gasparilla 2018. The hotel decor was very festive for the occasion! Room was clean and the beds comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great except for the bacon being overcooked. Would stay here again. Great area and location — tons of good shops & restaurants nearby.

The Manager at this hotel was very helpful, and worked hard to fulfill guest needs. I needed a package sent out/picked up after my checkout, and he stored it and helped facilitate. Good place for what you pay for as well.

The Best Western chain is a "standard" as a quality of services. In particular the slightly high cost of the room, the just sufficient quality/variety of the breakfast and the ongoing renovations weighed on the overall valuation.

Super accommodations for the price. Clean, tidy. Fitness center ok but a bit cramped. Spacious bathroom. Nice location, a dollar store, churches, Publix, and library nearby. Lemon water and great coffee in lobby.

Very spacious room (2 doubles) with mini fridge, microwave and real comfortable beds. Awesome breakfast… great variety including waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels and more. Great value for your dollar. Staff very nice also.

I booked a room at Best Western Tampa through bookings with a month of advance. Due to a problem with my credit card, the hotel cancelled my reservation without notice. If they had called/email I could have easily solved the issue but the hotel preferred to give the room to someone else. I had a late flight and was almost homeless.

The gentlemen at the desk were very helpful and the breakfast was good. The room smelled so badly of cigarette and blunt smoke. There were remnants of a blunt left in the bathroom. When we checked out they said they knew the room smelled, I just don't know why they still rented it out. We were refunded some money because they didn't have anymore rooms left. I made my reservation a few weeks before and don't know how I got stuck with this one :/

This hotel was up to my standards! It was clean and comfortable and was an easy stay. The staff was accommodating and friendly. They don't have much parking but besides that it was a great stay!

Had a great time there. Very clean rooms and friendly staff ready to help out with whatever was needed. Breakfast quality could improve a little bit, but overall it was good.

So friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Our room was clean and comfy. So convenient to the airport, I would highly recommend this hotel!

Clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. Close to museums, river walk, restaurants. We enjoyed our 2 day stay using Best Western as our hub for excursions. The continental breakfast was much like others but the eggs with hot sauce and the berry muffins were quite good.

I like this hotel for the quality and the price. It is located near the AFB or the International Mall. The room was large, clean, and the air conditioning was quiet. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good. I just don't think you can beat this hotel without it costing you more than 100 plus a night.

Room: The room was clean, and well kept. Parking: Convenient and there was always a spot. Customer Service: Staff was polite and professional. A staff member accidentally gave another person a key to my room. The other guest walked into my room while I was inside. Thank goodness I was dressed, and watching TV.

Great place, clean, well kept, and pleasant friendly staff. Location was also a plus. Only complaint is parking. It can be a challenge if you are coming back from a late evening. Also, the spaces are compact, and tight to maneuver around. Other than that, it was perfect. Breakfast was awesome. There were a variety of hot foods, waffles, oatmeal, breads, muffins, and bagels.

Good hotel. No complaints whatsoever about the hotel. Staff friendly and always available. Not the best hotel, and certainly not a top hotel, but a good hotel regardless. Location is excellent.

The property and rooms were very clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best that I've had at a hotel. A wide range of options and plenty of food. The pool is also open 24/7. This is definitely going to be my go-to hotel when I stay in Tampa.

The hotel was very nice for the price. Parking is limited but it was in a very good spot for my needs which was 4 miles from the hospital. The food was good and stay hot. The staff was very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The only thing I would recommend is replace the carpet inmost of the areas… it looks nice but it is just time to replace them.

When you go out of town and looking just to stay in one place for less than $100 this is a good place I have paid up to $400 for the same thing in other places Good AC Very good costumer service 2 night for just 177 I love it.

HORRIBLE STAY! The rooms have BED BUGS! DO NOT STAY HERE! My family and I had a stay for Wednesday and Thursday. I pulled sheets back on one of the beds so the children could go to sleep and there was a bug crawling on bottom sheet. I told my boyfriend and he looked at it and it was a BED BUG! He pulled back the ther sheets and lifted mattress up on other bed and there was another BUG. He then flipped the box spring up and cut the bottom covering off and there was a infestation of bed bugs and the sheddings as well as some dead ones too. We have videos and pictures. We packed up and loaded up and car. I went to the office and spoke to the lady working and she refused to all the manager (Greg) and refused to believe there was bed bugs. I a had two live ones in a plastics cup (covered) and the videos. She went to look at room… Meanwhile other guest over heard conversation and asked me about it, I told them the truth! She came back and said she didn't see anything and told me they are hiding. (Like how do you know that unless you've dealt with this before) she finally watched video after me asking her too again. I asked her to please cancel my stay and give me receipt, she refused. She then called the cops when I walked outside. Cops showed up and I explained what was going on, she told them she was uncomfortable about the situation. She then called manager (Greg). He spoke to cops and asked if I waned to go to another room he would switch my room. (is he crazy?!

I was pretty happy with my stay here. It's not a five star hotel, but if you're looking for a place to stay overnight that's simple, clean and close to downtown while still being affordable, this is a good options. They also had a continental breakfast that wasn't anything special, but it was a nice addition that let me start the day with a filling breakfast. The beds and bathroom are a bit small, but it was clean, in a good location and has a nice staff. Nothing was outstanding but it was a perfectly fine hotel.

Good, small, cheap location close to central Tampa. Bathroom was a bit small and the breakfast was a bit stale. But the staff went above and beyond for us and the coffee and lemon water provided was particularly delicious.

Fantastic start to the day when my wife and I got in. They had upgraded our room to the suite! Only negative is that their parking lot is SMALL! We got back to the hotel at 11pm and were told that we had to park in the grass behind the hotel. Kinda weird that there aren't enough parking spaces for all the rooms. All that said the next time we go I can see us staying there.

Nice lobby, friendly staff, quick check in. Room was clean and air worked great. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom clean with awesome water pressure. The only thing could use improvement is the parking, tight spots and not enough. Otherwise will be back for more hockey!

Very nice, very clean hotel. Breakfast was good. Great location, close to everything. We will definitely come back and recommend.

The rooms were clean and for the most part everything was up to par. However the outside of the hotel needs some help there's a dumpterster on the side overflowing and a little down from that is a man living behind the hotel with a handful of cats its not the most comforting feel.

The room was a little dated, but the staff was friendly. Breakfast was great; they have a pancake maker. I've only ever seen a waffle maker.

The carpet in my room was soaking wet. They switched rooms for me, but it was weird. And their breakfast is really lacking. Can't outright complain, but not an overall great experience.

The location was ok, but what ruined my experience here was the dishonest staff. I left a nice wrist watch and electronics charger in our room on accident, and when I called about retrieving it, the front desk woman sounded suspicious and said no one knew of our found my watch. It was on the nightstand. Go find yourself another hotel run by honest people.

We gambled taking their last room on a busy Saturday night. Smoking rm. We are extremely picky. They gave us a double room, super clean, better than most Hilton out there, with a great breakfast. Awesome personal. Wouldn't know it was SMOKING Rm. And under $100. The wife couldn't be any happier. I will definitely come back. JULIE did a great job and was very professional.

People staying at the hotel do not say all not to generalize but most are a ball of pigs and rakatacas or chusmas.

I dont know why people rated so low. The rooms are 10/10 service 10/10 the free breakfast could be better but 8/10 so. Over all it is great and next to the beach.

Stayed here one night while driving back from vacation. Room was spacious and clean. Some of the appliances/electronics are older models, but everything worked as it should. Very reasonably priced and good access to Tampa bay. Would stay here again.

The hotel is relatively clean. They have a nice fitness area. The beds were pretty comfortable. However, we were charged a $50.00 cleaning fee after we checked out. The manager claimed it was because the room smelled like smoke but no one in our family smokes. He refused to refund the $50.00 even though I explained that it was impossible that anyone could have smoked in the room. I will not be staying at this place again and I would warn anyone about coming here because you may end up with extra charges.

Is really bad. The staff doesn't change the sheets when you are staying there, you can hear them talk, is almost like if they are screaming. Pretty loud I would say, they are not polite and the food its ok but it always run out of stuff. Disappointed.

This is a budget stop. So I think my expectations were fair. Good points: Decent breakfast, clean rooms, ample parking and privacy. What can be done better: 1 or 2 fitness machines are outdated, the tv's are not acceptable. (They are cheap these days). All in all you get what you pay for. I would use it again. The location is very central for the Tampa area. Gold medal of mediocrity. Solid C.
