Simple rooms, friendly service, no one bothers you, wonderful price considering what you get. It's not even that far from the beach. Great value stayed in February 2016.

I wouldn’t go at all! I’m so disappointed. There was blood on my pillow and on the curtain. They didn’t want to refund my money for the day.

One of the double beds was broken. The bathroom door had holes that looked like someone kicked it open. We returned to our room at nine at night and no maid service. There were other concerns of safety.

Trashy room, the chain on the door was broken TV was going out, the bed was uncomfortable to sleep on, Holes in the walls and comforter, the ac was on for 45 minutes and still hasn't cooled the room waste of money for a room that was not suitable for my daughter to stay in. Do not recommend to stay in this hotel.

Good cheap rooms with good location.

If you just want to rest your head then pick this place. It is outdated, beat up and dirty. On the upside it was cheap and the staff are excellent.

Honestly aside from the iron burn in the carpet and the dead hooker in the tub (which they kindly removed) the place wasnt THAT bad… a few creepy crawlies and some mold (which felt like fresh cut grass on my feet). Bathroom had some cracked tiles and a few poor patch jobs (drug dens) but the toilet flushed all the 1 ply TP you could handle. Not 100% sure but possibly the same bathroom the terminator removed his eye… The pungent smell of bleach littered the room which may have been a blessing given the brown stains on the 10 count cotton sheets. Would recommend this spot to hitler as punishment for his atrocities.

Needs to be updated, needs to be completely cleaned. In an emergency it's barely livable. Was not happy at all.

Front desk is terrible. Checkin is at 3:00pm. Room was not ready until 5:00pm. Not sure what was renovated, looks like they painted the walls. Not impressed at all.

Good rate and good service. It's a little off the beaten path though. But that's why the rates are so low I suppose.

Cheap prices me and my family stay here Everytime we come to visit, nice for the price, I only gave 4 stars because there are things that need to be fixed or updated like the bathrooms, other then that management have always been kind and friendly. I'll be seeing them again this summer…

Do yourself a favor and sleep on your car if this is where you can afford to sleep at. Makes no sense to spend the money to simply be completely dissatisfied in the worst of ways. Surely you won’t be sleeping on anyone’s nut stains and leave with beg bugs clinging to your ass… seriously, just sleep in your ride and take yourself out to a fancy breakfast instead.

Has some issues with the electrical and the rooms are somewhat not maintenanced well and management can sometimes be rude but overall they do the best they can for where they're located, the locals use it too much for other purposes and that I consider is bad when you have tourist that use that Hotel with families and children, they do keep their pool real clean and other than that if they just work on the locals using the facilities there for quote other purposes rather than traveling people from out of town that can really make an impact on the Saint Augustine area,,,,, yiC.

Terrible place! bed bugs. I srayed for 2 nights and got bed bugs. When I contacted the owner at the front desk he acted as if I was lieing and didnt offer to reimburse me nor pay for my cloths to get washed. When I say I got bit by bed bugs it was servere. I went to the hospital because I did not know what it was.

This place is great! Not awesome but great. All of the people leaving bad reviews are travelers who want to pay the cheapest price and then they want to complain about the quality of the place, and they are right… you get what you pay for! The price here is perfect, extra amenities and brand new everything eventually goes to the customer to pay for. Nice location, pool, Wi-Fi works just fine (contrary to previous reviews), quiet, ice cold a/c. I did not give five stars because of cleanliness. Yes it could be cleaner but it's not anything that can be overlooked or easily fixed. The rooms are old, the bed sheets are not brand new but they are clean. Bathrooms need extra attention. This hotel has been here forever, and last but not least… the staff are excellent here! Really friendly and accommodating. If you do have a complaint it is fixed immediately. Even after a big storm with flooding and power outages everyone was very helpful. Ps: I do not work here but I am from this town and I was visiting looking for cheap accommodations and I found them at The Red Carpet Inn.

Room 125 (non smoking) Despite the many terrible reviews, for Labor Day weekend this place was the cheapest around. Standard size room 2 beds (sheets had yellow stains, I brought my own since I had read the reviews) nice size pool, great location, bathroom little outdated, the one thing that was unbearable was the "smoke" smell being that it was a non smoking room. OMG it was so concentrate I had a headache the entire time. We only stayed 1 night. I don't think I'll be going back. I should've requested a different room but being that it was only 1 night I just dealt with the smell. If you can't find any other vacancies around, make sure you bring your own sheets, ect to survive your stay.

Brutal doors have huge cracks and dont shut and bathroom is a joke sink plugged and bathtub plugged. Says renovated? Sure it is ha ha ha lol.

The service was good. The room was decent as well.

For the price, not awful. Room we stayed in bad shape, door didn't close well AC was very noisy. Restroom was a throwback to the 60's. If your looking to save for a nights stay this is the place.

Absolutely horrid! My wife and I were planning to stay just one night while in St Augustine visiting the lighthouse. I booked online, so I didn't get a lot of info on the location nor the hotel. We left after 15 minutes, and that time was only spent looking for somewhere else to stay! The room smelled of smoke, the bed sheets barely fit the bed, there were stains on the sheets, towels, and shower curtain, all the lights flickered and one didn't even work, and only a quarter of the roll of toilet paper remained. This had an $70 or so price, absolutely ridiculous! We had a much nicer hotel in Myrtle Beach for $30, and it was right on the beach! The staff made us nervous, as well as other "guests. " Pretty sure they weren't staying but were living there. In the 15 minutes we were there, a police car came for two different things! I highly recommend staying away from the Red Carpet Inn in St Augustine Florida. Just had the feel of a location where you would be robbed, shot, and catch some sort of bugs. Maybe even all three at once! Just a nasty location! Especially for the price! Steer clear of this place!

Kicked Disabled veteran and his wife out because he was having seizures and not on the right medication after they had paid for a week. They have drug addict living there and everybody that works there is leaving. The place should be shut down. There is no hot water, the whole hotel will shake l when a train goes by, their pipes leak, and the air-conditioner hardly ever works. They discriminate and only allow people in that do drugs. If you are disabled or are looking for a nice quiet place to stay to get some peace don't come here.

Avoid at all costs. The lock to my room broke, the rooms are ugly and are unclean, and checking in is slow and bothersome. Pretty much everything about the place is terrible, and way overpriced for what you're getting.

I've stayed in plenty of motels/hotels during the course of my life and this was by far my worst experience yet. We originally got a room on the first floor and went to turn on the air conditioner and it would not work. I mean, really? It's Florida, you have to have some form of air circulation. So, we packed up our stuff and went to the office where the lady at the desk was nice enough to give us another room, and we made our way to a room on the second floor. This room was … I don't know what it was, but "good" isn't even the word I would use. I went to sit on the bed and the bed caved in and was touching the floor — come to find out that the box spring was broken BEFORE we got the room. We went out, came back and it was fixed (at least they did SOMETHING right). The only reason my review isn't only one star is because we didn't have much trouble with the Wi-Fi (other than the fact they forgot to actually give us the password) and the beds were adequate — or maybe we were just really tired.

You get exactly what you pay for. Rooms are a little outdated but other than that they are clean and comfortable, with no bugs or outside disturbances. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking. Good location.

Very easy check in. Very easy to get in and out of. Clean rooms.

If you value your life, I don't recommend you stay here! Checked out after 5 minutes. This place gives off a rapey vibe. Good luck!

FOR the money=excellent service and value! We were looking for a place to stay, last minute on a Saturday night (very busy summer weekend). This place is old, hasn't been updated in a while, but was VERY clean, and the gentlemen at the front desk was the kindest, most helpful a person could be. FOR the PRICE, this establishment provided a clean comfortable place to crash and shower. (No frills, not for pretentious snobs or bitchy unhappy people, but it is a great value! ) The bathroom had a little loose paint on the ceiling (moisture causes this, it's a bathroom… duh people, it happens), but no mold or mildew. Clean linens, no bedbugs, and overall room smell was nice. (And we had a microwave AND mini fridge! ) Nice heavy water pressure in tub with restricted flow shower = set water temperature first, then send it to shower or you won't get the temperature to be consistent. It's an excellent value, unless you are looking for a $150 room for free…
