I was staying with my 6 month old and 2 year old. I saw ants in the kitchenette so I called the front desk, they said they were with a guest and would call me right back. They never called and I didn't see anymore in the Kitchen so we went to sleep. I was cold in the morning so I went to my closet and grabbed my pj pants from the floor and put them on. Next thing I know I was getting bit. I took my pants off as fast as I could with yelling for my husband to call the front desk. My daughter got upset by me screaming and ended up getting in the shower just so I knew she would not also get bit. There were at least a hundred fire ants all over my pants which resulted in over 20 bites all over my legs, which have been itching since. The front desk never apologized and just put us in another room on the next floor. When I went to get the new keys with my 6 month old I spoke about how upset I was and asked them what if they had gotten in my son's pack'n'play or gotten my daughter. They finally apologized and acknowledged that that would have been bad. I asked if there was anything else we could do about it and the front desk woman said she could not, only a manager, and he was not in until the next day. I came back the next day twice. The manager never came out either time. The second time the same front desk woman asked me what I expected, "compensation" and said that they would not give me any since they gave me a new room. She said she had already told her manager about it. I said I would still like to speak to him and she brushed me off. I am very disapointed and disgusted by how little they cared. As a manager I know what is expected and how situations are supposed to be handled and this was absolutely unacceptable. I will never be staying here again.
