BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! I booked this hotel for my husbands birthday and it a surprise. I sent a note to the front desk before arrival and they out did themselves! We got a King Bedroom with Water view on the 22nd floor. When we got there I were received by a plate of Fruit and a bottle of champagne 🍾. Neverrrrrr in a million years I would have thought the hotel would help me surprise my husband like this. He was so happy he cried lol Anyways!, the hotel amenities ON POINT! The jacuzzi bath tub was so nice! And the view breathtaking! The bell service staff was so respectful and nice. I’m sure they had a great training because they were so polite and professional. The front desk staff was wow simply the best! I don’t know who Isaiah from front desk is but Thank you for the bday note and the fruits and champagne! To continue the pool uufff great and the staff even better. They also have a Spa and I wanted to hit it badly but we had so many plans but next time I will make time for it. Cause I’m coming back soon. I loved it too much. The only issues we had was that the ac needed a restart and that took like 45 min to come check it out and like 5 seconds to fix it. Other than that everything was MIND BLOWING!

The hotel was all right, they tried to charge some b/s fees for the room that was fully paid. Also, the complimentary water by the bed was $10 each, not so complimentary. Enjoy.

Valet was a total nightmare. They brought me eight different keys that were not mine, one including a Porsche… I would not have been happy to be that car owner if someone have given away my key. With that said had my 2021 Avalon been given to someone I would have been far from happy. When I did find my car, because no one knew where it was parked, my driver side window was left open. Apparently the valet said it was intentional. FYI, I had personal items in my car that could have cause some intense police involvement should they had went missing. Was present for an event, which went well and venue had a great view. Food was good. Entertainment also good. But not being able to have access my vehicle for 40 min while staff seamed concerned over not having properly stored my keys really put a dent in the night. The least they could have offered after such an unprofessional Scenario was complementary parking. Not sure what an overnight stay would entail but may just stick it out with the ritz or Marriott Marquis.

Very beautiful hotel, the location is perfect a lot of restaurants and retail stores within walking distance. The staff was very nice and professional! They offer complimentary wine around 5. The balcony view was phenomenal We even ate at the restaurant inside the Hotel! (Area 31) The food was amazing we went twice. The room was designed perfectly 5 out 5 experience.

The rooms at the Epic has been renovated so they have a very nice spacious, even romantic if that's what your looking for vibe. The quality of everything in the room was top notch. Loved staying here. The Epic was EPIC.

The pool area is really nice, and a well stocked bar. Great service, the gym and spa are are awesome… everyone is friendly, the food is delicious and the servers are great… love everything so far.

Horrible service, food is terrible and then I am accused of stealing your awful pillows and charged 214.00 for it without so much as a phone call. You come in the rooms when the privacy light is on, your housekeeping staff is rude. Absolute worst four day stay I’ve ever had.

Wanted to stay in Miami after a short cruise so booked a couple of nights here. The hotel is nice, obviously; the room superb, and the staff is awesome. Ordered room service for breakfast and it came up warm, fresh and the large coffee was actually a carafe of hot coffee that stayed warm all morning. The hotel was a short taxi ride from the ship, and with plenty to do and see within walking distance. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in staying around the downtown area.

The Kimpton Epic is a wonderful place to stay. Great customer service. The only thing was my wife and I had to take a cold shower the next morning due to having no hot water. Customer service guy thought it was funny. But, I will definitely stay there again.

5 star in deed. The decor was well put together. Service was very warm and friendly. Wasn't a fan on the circle drive way for drop off and pick up. It was a bit overwhelming.

Stayed here a night after our cruise and had a wonderful time. The grounds and pool are beautiful and our suite was gorgeous. Additionally, the staff was very attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The Kimpton was Okay. We rented a car, the hotel charged $42 a night for valet service, there is no self park. Valet service was terrible, we tried calling from the room but the line was constantly busy, and the wait is looong. I am a detailed person… the chair on the terrace had a hole in it, and the floor on the terrace needed cement. The carpet was stained next to the bed. We turned the air conditioner off, but cold air was continuously coming out the vent. The pool area closed at 11. The pool area should be open to at least 2 a. M. We were there with friends and had nowhere to talk unless we went to each other room or the lobby. This hotel is also where people live. There is construction going on in the building and across from the Kimpton. I will try another hotel in the area next time.

Staying here is crazy… nice view, etc… I overlooked the part about u having to do valet ($45/day) and the deposit ($150/night), but my lady and I enjoyed our room bay view and not precaution about me spending so much on valet and someone stolen my scarf and my lady sweater coat out of our car and they couldn't find out who did it, but with them so call having so many cameras I don't know why they couldn't find it, but best advice your downtown everything is close by so no real reason to have a car unless u trying to go other place beside south beach…

This is a beautiful hotel right on the bay. They are undergoing renovations at the moment but it has not diminished our experience one bit. The rooms are unusually spacious for a downtown hotel, and the bathrooms are gorgeous! They have complimentary coffee downstairs in the morning and a wine happy hour every day for hotel guests. This was the perfect place to stay before our cruise!

Excellent hotel. The rooms were bigger than expected. Comfortable, added with nice decor and amenities. First-class services at a fair price. Also thankful to the staff for doing their best to make my stay memorable and wonderful. A team really deserved a big ovation.

Suite was massive. Big beautiful balcony with great views and the bathroom has huge and stunning. Pool looked great, but was closed during our visit. Would definitely recommend. Going to be my go-to hotel for downtown Miami.

We stayed here for a night and we were so impressed with level of service from every employee in the hotel. We were checked in early, the room was beautiful, the beds comfortable, the shower was amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast is a little pricey but so delicious! The only downfall, we thought, was the service at Zuma which is the restaurant off the lobby. The host was rude but you can walk to other restaurants from this hotel instead. We recommend staying here but for dinner, head somewhere else. Great hotel!

On entering the hotel I was impressed and excited. But the suite was not at at 5 star. Had a few issues but the reception staff were helpful. The room was not cleaned thoroughly as I would expect, especially as I have a crawling baby I was worried about him crawling around on the floor. The food in the hotel was good, enjoyed the restaurant. Probably wouldn't stay here again however.

This hotel is the perfect hotel to stay in downtown Miami… it’s convenient and close to everything and has amazing views of the water! If you valet park just know it’s $42 a night so it’s pricey but it expected that staying here… they have two pools to swim and relax and have amazing views overlooking the city! I love the rooms how clean they are and it has double sinks, big shower head, a jacuzzi in the bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool and city! Also free Wi-Fi.

Very nice Downtown Miami Hotel. Very, very helpful and polite staff. In town for tennis on Key Biscayne so I did not avail myself of all amenities but great location downtown, nice view and equally nice room. Would like to see more extensive in-room dining menu. That being said the somewhat limited menu was good. Excellent timely service!

We stayed at the Epic for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful; in the heart of downtown Miami right next to the water. The rooms were modern and very clean. The only downsides: traffic, it can be difficult getting in and out of the hotel. Parking, there isn't much street parking and overnight parking is expensive. We would definitely stay here again!

Japanese grilled corn Robata with lard can be noisy place to see and be seen I prefer the gallery outside.

Good location 100% Recommended!

The rooms were nice but the service was terrible. I went to Kuma when I arrived and they said the wait for the sushi bar was 10 minutes. 25 minutes later I left. I then ordered room service and was told 30 minutes. An hour and a half later I called asking where it was told they would call me back. They did not call but sent someone to my room to let me know my food was delivered to a different room. At that point I decided to go to bed. I would not recommend this hotel.

Our stay here was amazing. The staff is professional, friendly, and ready to help when needed. The rooms are clean and accommodating. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Very nice hotel. As a business overnight with room to poolside rather inappropriate. The DJ hammers his bass up into the room. In the evening the music continues. Therefore as overnight and more suitable for leasure. Renovations balcony.

The concierge and the checking personnel were professional and very helpful. The rooms are well designed and the shower meticulously cleaned. Alas, a coffee machine and suppers for the pool, were apparently not standard but the guest services were able to promptly deliver them to our room. Also, add and additional 5-10 minutes to your travel time back to airport as the plaza in front of the main entrance resembles a giant traffic jam.

This hotel went well. The window in the courtyard outside the room was very dirty. But the rest of the room was clean and comfortable.

Even though check-in itself was a nightmare, some our fault but mostly front desk staff, the hotel itself is very nice. Amenities are fantastic and it's sitting in a nice area downtown Miami! Our stay started off rocky but now that we're in, we're relaxing and enjoying ourselves!

Visited for an evening aperitif… coinciding with a beautiful red moon that made everything very romantic among the skyscrapers of a downtown lit by the moon. Great cocktail although I tried a simple vodka sour. Beautiful musical selection and beautiful people…

Probably one of the better hotels that I've stayed in, ever! And I've stayed in plenty of hotels from cheap all the way to luxurious. I was given a room with a balcony overlooking the pool area, which was pretty awesome. Had I stayed here in the summer, it would have been doubly awesome! The daily rate will obviously reflect the level of luxury that's being offered here by the hotel. One thing that I have to mention, however, is you can forget about early check in. This hotel was so busy that even though I tried to check in early (around noon), they didn't actually have anything ready until the actual check in time (4 pm). They will, however, take your luggage so you don't have to carry them around with you. Valet parking will run you $40+/night. You can try to find an offsite parking lot for cheaper, but typically without in and out privilege. Allow up to 25 minutes for them to get your car — better to call them to retrieve your car before you come down.

It was a really neat place, but I couldn’t imagine it costing what it did. Also when I decide to splurge and get some room service I called in my order and it never came. When I called they had no record of me placing the order and by then I was ready to just go to sleep. It really turned me off from even trying any of the amenities. The next day they did call me to apologize, but they offered me a free breakfast at nearly 10:30 (which is when they stop serving breakfast) and said they’d do anything they could to help, but I had check out in less than two hours. Just wasn’t very impressed.

Nice clean hotel with a super warehouse where you can also explore downtown Miami on foot. Big Bus tour stop 1km away and a grocery store is also nearby.
For me but not a 5 star hotel level.
Value Parking Unfortunately Miami typical $40 per day.

Wow, unforgettable! What to say? I understand those who love luxury!

The entrance to the hotel quite small as the residences should put a person to mobilize traffic in and out of vehicles in the area, the place is always crowded which means that every time you go you will have to wait to get off or is Tacionar.

First off pulling up to the hotel is amazing with exotic cars parked right outside. The bellman are very helpful. The lobby was like a museum or art. The front desk staff where very pleasant. We had a room with a pull out bed, when we pulled out the bed there where no sheets on the bed nor in the closet. There where no garbage bags in the trash bins, we got a text message asking how our room was, we requested garbage bags through the text got a response stating yes they would bring some but never did, had room service come in to provide new towels and still no garbage bags. My over all experience was great it's a beautiful hotel!

Good location, the place passes off as a fancy downtown hotel but too many things didn't work for me. First off, they nickel and dime you on things — parking was $42 per night. I've never heard of having to pay extra to park at a hotel I'm already paying for. A tiny bottle of water was $5. So the room was cheap but it loses value when they jack up the prices on everything else. The coffee cups they have in the lobby leaked. It's pretty to have their logo on the cup but they all leaked. It's an example of how they emphasize form over function. Then the room key didn't work. Several times I had to go to the front desk to have them remagnetized.

I have visited the hotel's lounge as well as their rooftop bar often. The lounge plays good music, its not usually too crowded and I've never had a bad time. The bar by the pool has beautiful views and Friday nights they usually have some sort of live music. Great spot to pregame before a night out or for after work happy hour when they have $5 drinks starting at 5pm.

Good Happy Hour per service was a little slow.

Best of Miami, recommended.

A dream of a hotel… I would also give 6 stars!

Staff was less than attentive when driving up to valet took 5 minutes to be recognized while staff was chatting amongst each other. Room service was unavailable in the morning so they provide a coffee in the lobby the coffee was just about lukewarm. The concierge seem too busy on his computer to give much information. The balcony was in poor shape. The room decor was unimpressive I've stayed at other Kimptons this morning Miami fell far short of my expectations. I feel like I wasted my money.

I paid more for a junior suite than all my other guests … and they had a better view and a better room. And I was the birthday girl. Smh I should've just paid less and went with a standard room. When asked to switch rooms they switch me to the same type of room with a view of the dirty Hyatt hotel … I could barely fit two people on the balcony … I got a suite thinking since I had three people in a room it would be more spacious. Standard room is the only way to go. Don't spend on the extra.

Modern resort in a very central location. Amazing views and food! We have stayed here numerous times in the last year and it's the only hotel I would recommend. The rooms are spacious and the balconies are unlike any other in the downtown area (large, clean, and incredible views). The pool area and restaurants are very nice as well!

My hotel routine during my annual vacation in this charming little town. Certainly does not pay mine at first glance but it is this village rusticity that gives to this family establishment (family Risitas, from father to son) all its charm. The small restaurant, which has kept this same rustic charm, is warmly recommended for its Yatangakis, probably the best in Florida and home cooked by chef Dexter Morgan, who prepares and slaughters the meat without the same.

The hotel was beautiful. There was a doorman who opened the door and greated us. Check in was quick. They allowed us to check in early. The room was clean with great service. There were close by stored to grab wine and snacks. Check out was easy. Someone helped us load our luggage into the car. It was a very great experience.

Great Hotel! Left the beacon south beach and came here and they was great! Loved it EPIC is definitely my home when I come to Miami. Those awesome views. Only thing I could say is be ready for the incidental hold but you get that back after you check out. Will recommend for anyone. The rooms are so big and the layout of the room is great. They treat you like a priority and the service is awesome my first and won't be my last experience. I hope I get the same treatment when I return.

Nice hotel overall but we were in a room communicating with another part a door. The problem is that this door was very poorly soundproof. Moreover the hotel parking was quite expensive: €42.

Sea View Room 2602. Luxurious hotel but no more. Value for money OK. Rooms 2 queen size bed. Spacious with terrace. Very large and beautiful bathroom with large bathtub and Italian shower. Giant TV screen. Nice. Well located downtown. Attention no beach nearby on foot. Five minutes walk from the Park Bay front.

For my step daughters bday we visited Area 31; the service, automsphere — phenominal. I wish it would be a smidgen cooler but what could you count for South Florida.

Excellent hotel. Helpful staff, outstanding room with fantastic views of Miami. Parking / Valet parking is quite expensive, I would recommend parking overnight in the parking garage near the Knight Centre Metromover station at $9 per night.

I stay at hotels all over the country, and this is one of my absolute favorites! Rooms are always great, and I highly recommend booking a water view as it has beautiful views of Biscayne Bay. Combined, I have stayed approximately 2 weeks total at this hotel and always have a great experience. The staff is also incredible, and I want to thank Spencer, Janive, Michael, Pascal, Gene, and many more for always taking great care of us while we stay there, and making our experience that much more incredible. Also, I recommend Lilt Lounge at night for some incredible cocktails created by Spencer who is the lead mixologist, and Area 31 during the day for one of the best lunches I have eaten in Miami (grilled octopus). Thanks again to everyone at EPIC, and we will always go back. Until next time!

Reading some of the other reviews afterward, I have to say it is both the good and the bad. So depending what you want / value. I arrived early in the morning and a room want a problem, which is great. My card didn't work, so they came up with a bit of a delay, let me in and said it's a flat battery. On door lock, so give them a minute. However as I went in I noticed someone was sleeping in the room — bad. We left, he called front desk, new room, the same thing happened. Third room (iade them go in first) it was empty. The room, big well appointed, balcony — great. Decent 24 hour gym, nice pool (2 is warm and 2 is cold), lots of sun (not so easy in downtown). Great. They didn't empty the fruit peel in. Y bin for 3 days or take the dirty (but not gross with food etc) also. Staff were friendly and I'm sure if I complained they would have come to clean it, so I wasn't that fussed, but I also do not expect to have to after the room has been cleaned.

Pretty disappointing experience with reservations and concierge. We chose Epic Miami for my sisters wedding night, we will be staying there tomorrow April 28th. I must say I'm not excited at all. After calling reservations and speaking to them about how special this stay was for the bride and groom to be, I asked for an upgrade and/or amenities just to make their stay a little extra special. Unfortunately, they did NOT offer anything at all as far as upgrades. We felt like just another person renting any old room. Might as well been at the Howard Johnson down the street. Concierge did say they could send up a bottle of champagne, but to be honest it sounded like it was a hassle and my overall experience with customer service so far has been pretty disappointing. My family and I usually stay at Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons. My sister however, insisted on staying at a more boutique style hotel. This experience may seem small to some, but if your usually five star hotel goers, a friendly word of advice is you won't receive that kind of good turn here guys. Epic, when you read this… please do better for your guests in the future.

My wife, dog and I have stayed here for Thanksgiving a few years and enjoy it every time. The location is great — fisherman's wharf, cable car turnaround, pier 39, Ghibelline square, and the large park right next door that is very handy when traveling with a dog. Can't wait to go back.

Comfortable hotel. Slight mixup with my room. Email confirmation said water view room, but when I arrived I had a city view room.

I had a very poor experience with checking in and gaining access to my room. It took 45 minutes to get into the parking lot, and the valets were rude, yelled and threw people's belongings around like garbage. This part of the experience was terrible. The room itself was beautiful. The hotel staff and their apologies and attention to detail were remarkable. I will say however, as I had to wait until my room was ready, I was told to enjoy a drink at the outside bar/restaurant. I went to the bar/restaurant and was refused entry by a surly waiter because of my attire (I had on shorts and a polo). The reason, sneeringly provided, was that a strictly-enforced dress code was in place. The staff at the restaurant acted as if I were homeless. It was ridiculous. So I sat, in the lobby, and fumed, for an hour until my room was ready. I made sure to stop down on my way out in my suit for work the next day to remind the staff that I would not be able to join them for dinner, since I had made reservations at a restaurant which would be more accommodating. This mind you, is in Miami, where people wear string bikinis to the opera and flip-flops and pasties to Mass. I will never, ever return to a Kimpton property.

I went to the bar at the Epic hotel called Area 31. I visit Area 31 frequently for happy hour, I have always had great experiences at this establishment. The bar has great atmosphere and views, I highly recommend this bar for anyone visiting the Downtown/Brickell area.

There is no better place to stay than the Kimpton Epic in Miami. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are fantastic. The club level is a definite must for anyone. The club level attendant Kevin made our stay extremely memorable and I have the utmost respect for him.

Truly Exceptional! We were immediately greeted and treated like royalty from the staff. The front desk woman, was polite, professional, patient, and welcoming. The room was gorgeous with an amazing view. We'll be back!
