Hotel very accommodating we checked in at 12pm and checked out 12pm the following day. Nice and clean hotel. Definitely will book again while in Jacksonville, Florida. Good job guys!

Very clean room a good breakfast and a courteous staff.

Wonderful stay! Clean, up-to-date atmosphere, spectacular pool and jacuzzi. Our suite was very spacious and usable. The free breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, complete with fresh, hot cinnamon rolls. Staff was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Nice rooms, but the desk staff wasn't very polite in assisting us with checking in.

This gets a 5 star because they were very accommodating to my husband and I! A third party site messed up our reservation at another hotel, and this hotel worked with us to get us a room… they even discounted us a low rate because of the unfortunate situation, where we were able to save $100! So yes, they get a 5 star! :-)

Normally I love a Holiday Inn Express, but this stay missed the mark. The website advertised free parking and free airport shuttle but didn't say there was a $5 per day cost. Don't object to the cost-object to the misleading. I have stayed at the Comfort Suites next door and there was no charge. A soldier checking in was refused his discount because although he had his military ID, he didn't have orders. That is absurd. It is all a bait and switch. Also, it took way too long to check in and when we got to our room there was debris on the floor — clearly not vacuumed. The TV guide was wrong. And a regular bottle of nestle water was $2.80. But the bed was comfy! Still won't be staying here again.

I absolutely loved the services and cleanliness of this hotel… o. M. G… they were so clean and well kept. The staff was amazing and professional… loved the pancake maker and the caucasian breakfast lady was so nice and sweet. Thanks for a great weekend getaway with my wife… we needed it… if I could change anything it would be the freezing pool… maybe a heated pool to take ice chill off would be so awesome… thank you.

Hotel us nice and clean. Staff needs a lot more training. They charged me over 150 a night for the same room other Holiday Inn Express Hotels charge around 100. On the last day I called to ask for a wake up call just to be greeted by an individual that was more interested in getting back to her business than to see what my needs were. The day I checked out, my bill was not under my door like all other Holiday Inn Express Hotels do normally. The shuttle to the airport was driven by a man the not only was dry in his manners, he also ran 2 stop lights just because it was early and no police on sight. So, as I said, training to the staff and this hotel could earn way better reviews. The facilities are nice and they have a pool area that looked cool bit I did not use as I was there on business.

Really soft bed. Had a mini fridge and microwave. Comfy sofa. Holiday inn is my go to hotel. Just wish I could have got a room with 2 TVs.

Quiet, little business traveler hotel. Room could have been a little cleaner. Nice breakfast selection.

Only a 20 minute walk to a shopping center. Pretty close to a several different restaurants as well. Rooms were comfortable and clean, just a really great stay.

Paid for whirlpool bath suite, tub was filthy! Afraid to use it for other than shower! Fridge had leftovers in it! Do not go here.

The room was clean and staff was fairly friendly. Breajfast was decent and includes hot food. Pancakes and eggs.

We are from St Augustine Florida but decided to stay at this location the night before our travel. Room a little dated but beds were extremely comfortable. A little light on bathroom anemities. First Class front desk. Ernestine, Chywana, and Tasha were very professional, helpful, and handled our every need. The management should be proud to have employees like these ladies. We will stay again as needed. Thank you ladies.

Stayed here on business trip. Very large room. Extremely clean. Man at desk was very helpful. We asked about a good steak restaurant, he recommended Millhouse. I got the St. Louis style bbq ribs. Excellent. Anyway, will stay here again if I'm in town.

The overall room and location is clean. So no issues with that. But when I have to pay $13.00 total for one load of cloths to get washed, that is just wrong. I mean really, I expect some price markups and what not. So here is the breakdown… tide one use detergent 2.33 plus tax, dryer sheets 2.33 Plus tax. Oh and you need quarters but there is no bill changer. Don't worry the front desk is gladey able to assist. You need 2.50 to run the washer 2.00 for dryer. Oh you don't have 5 bucks cash… the atm is available at a 3.50 cent charge. So add that up to about $13 bucks for one load of cloths to get washed.

Had to get the AC replaced in my room, but the hotel got it done the same day as requested. New beds are plush! Very comfortable.

The staff at this hotel checked someone else in to my prepaid room. With a completely different last name. They didn't check the ID of who was checking in. I paid for a double bed room. But was told the only foom they had left was a single. But there was two of us. They said the could not do anything till the next day.

Great service. Great employees they really care about you and want to make it as comfortable as possible.

Very clean, and well kept. Friendliest staff ever. Very polite. All willing to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Only down side is they only have 1 washer and dryer. Washer is currently out of order but they let me do my laundry in the washer they use to do the hotel laundry.

Really comfortable beds, great shower! Many amenities! Proximity to JAX airport a plus!

Always like staying at any Holiday Inn. Quality service and comfort for a reasonable price.

Falsely Accused & Unjustly Charged This hotel unjustly charged our son for damage he did NOT do in the 6 hours he slept at the hotel. He is a Midshipman serving our country in one of US Federal Service Academies. He'd been up for 2 days flying from a Middle East assignment to State side assignment. He checked into the room around 1am and checked out before 7am, same day. 3 days after checkout it was noticed his bank account was charged $267.50 — the hotel never advised of the additional charges. A call was made to the hotel to inquire and the general manager, Ava, advised that he broke an a/c condensation pipe and flooded the entire floor which required an extraction company. We were able to contact him to inquire and he advised he was no where near the a/c unit. He slept, showered, checked-out. Although an attempt was made to explain he did not do any damage, the hotel general manager, Ava, advised she had 22 years experience and knows that he did the damage and the room was fine before he checked in. It seems unrealistic to believe a floor flooded and so much damage from an a/c condensation pipe supposedly broken during his 6 hour stay; rather this pipe was broken long before his check in. The manager said she would no longer discuss the allegation, rather her experience proved his was guilty, said charges would stand, she would send a photo (attached) and hung up. Email attempts were made to attempt further communication/resolution to which no response was received.

It was my last night in Jax before I moved away, so I decided to splurge and get a "fancy" hotel room. The room itself was clean and nice. But the jacuzzi tub, the reason why I got the room, was subpar. Not only did the jacuzzi jets not work, but it was filthy. Dirt and grime flowed in with the water and at one point leaves were coming in with the water. When I called the front desk they were unable to move my room, but when asked if I could get a lowered rate, they gave me a measly $20 off. The only reason I got the more expensive room was for the jacuzzi tub, but with it inoperable, I would've gladly moved to a smaller room with a lower rate. But they were unable to do that. Long story short, rooms were clean, but don't splurge for the jacuzzi tub. Not worth the gamble.

Great folks and the rooms are nice. Hotel is in a great location. Next time I'm back here I will definitely consider this location.

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Close to shopping, food and entertainment. While I didn't take advantage of them, there pool and exercise facilities.

My family and I spent 3 wonder days here. We were welcomed with friendliness and professionalism from everyone. Frances prepared wonderful breakfast and great service each morning. We felt as though we were family. The staff recommended wonder sites and restaurants as well. We will stay there on our next visit. Thanks! Vernette.

Rude and uncaring! 53 Jefferson Rd, Jacksonville, FL. I booked my room two months ago via Expedia. I called the hotel upon booking and confirmed my room with "multiple beds". My family arrived to the hotel and was told they did not have this room available and they were not bound to honor Expedia bookings. They offered me a one bed room but because this room would not work for us, they considered it a cancellation and charged me $135 for the one night fee. On top of that, the entire Jacksonville area hotels were sold out due to various events in the area. I practically begged Krysten, the desk clerk, to help me figure out other options. Her response was "oh well, I don't know what you're going to do". When I asked for a manager I was told none were available. If you book here, have a backup plan.

This hotel was totally amazing. The service was very accommodating, and most of really kind. Our room exceeded my expectations for its cleanliness, modern decor, and the many great amenities. I enjoyed just hanging out in the room even, which was awesome! It’s close to a bunch of fun stuff to do downtown too, I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the area. It was really upscale, and I was thrilled with my entire stay. Also the pool is one of those half indoor half out door combs, and theres a hot tub, it was really nice!

Great staff, incredibly clean room, fresh and tasty breakfast bar (with a space-age pancake-making machine), comfortable bed — what's not to like. It also has an interesting half-inside, half-outside pool which I guess is for the rainy period in the summers. The pool and workout area are clean and inviting. In room Wi-Fi is strong, and this is conveniently located just a few minutes from the airport but only 15 min or so from the city center. Overall this is a great hotel and I'll stay here again when I'm in the area.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean common areas, non-smoking building, with a nice hot breakfast (included). The indoor-outdoor pool (glass screen comes down for bad weather) is nice with towels available. The rooms were clean with updated furnishings. The staff was very friendly and was very happy to answer questions about the local sights. I felt very safe while traveling alone.

It was a good location. The beds are comfortable and the staff was helpful. I wasn't too crazy about breakfast but at least they had it. The pancake machine spits out pancakes at the click of a button. I prefer waffle maker because the pancakes were way too thin and light. At least with the waffle maker you make to your liking but they didn't have a waffle maker. Check out time is a good enough time to prepare. The pool is really small and gets too deep too fast. Not enough room to swim. It's not exactly indoors which is the main reason I chose them only to not like the pool. But there is a small jacuzzi. My fridge wasn't cold enough and they gladly changed it but then it froze my food. Overall I'll go with extended stay next time. Had an issue with my toilet. And I agree with previous comment there was no Bible.

Holiday Inn Express is just the best! I was given a warm greeting and a warm oatmeal raisin cookie! Isn't that great? They checked me in quickly and my room was clean and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been nicer and I definitely want to stay here again.

Great staff, the people are friendly and do care. They are the best asset to the experience. The rooms are simple and clean. It has the necessary items you need to enjoyed your stay. The bible was missing. The continental breakfast was what my family needed. The overall experience was great. I would come back again and stay. The hotel is practical and not luxurious but the meet the needs of what we need to enjoyed our stay in Jacksonville, Florida without breaking our budget. I recommend this place for people or families who are looking for a place like this.
