Gorgeous property sunsets on the beach. Plenty chairs. Pools immaculate. Staff fantastic. Rooms clean and well appointed. Property well maintained. Desiraye Patrick at elements restaurant fantastic. Breakfast is great there. Island girl right in the property for water sports. You can do everything or nothing. Miss Beverly at security is a wonderful first greet. Vina robneisha front desk lovely. Rugged water entry but that’s all islamorada. We’d definitely come back.

The Islander is great for families! Lots of family friendly events and stuff to do for the kids!

Our stay at the Islander Resort was absolutely stunning! We never had to call for towels or refills on bath products. Everything was reset every singe day without asking and while we were out. The absolutely breathtaking plants all over the resort give a very secluded feel and we hardly ever seen or heard other guests! The pool was so clean and refreshing and the breakfast at The Elements Lounge was so good! We cannot wait to go back!

Wow! This is like a piece of paradise. We have loved EVERY single minute. The room was beautiful, clean, and very large. We are here a few more days and I hate to even think about leaving. The staff has been very friendly and the housekeeping crew has been wonderful. We came back while she was cleaning and I asked to drop off a to go box in the fridge. She checked our key first before allowing me in. I loved that security. The pools and facilities are pristine. It almost feels like it’s you and only a few other people. We will be back to this piece of paradise. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. ❤️

Great bungalow feel. Spent a few days on my honeymoon and was a great resort.

We just returned from The Islander Bayside Villas! Definitely would recommend! We had two large king bed rooms for the 4 of us! Everything at the resort was available to us staying at the villas off site! We had our own pool and small beach too! Close to everything and golf cart shuffle available too! Highly recommend!

I have never left a bad review before but I’m severely disappointed. I would suggest this place but if you have an issue with them good luck getting anywhere with them. The resort itself and the staff were very nice, however I came home to be very upset. I pre-paid for the room on Expedia and knew when I got there I’d pay the resort fee. I pre-paid for a reason so I could budget my vacation. Im a nurse and very much needed one. They instead took out resort fee and also took out money for the room a second time. Money taken out October 29. My husband has called and talked to the manager or employees multiple times. They said they saw their mistake and it’d be taken care of. Weeks went by. Nothing. Call again. It’s being processed. I call today (December 22) and the woman states it went through to be processed two days ago. So somebody didn’t do their job weeks ago. It’s Christmas time and some hundred dollars would be nice for presents. Especially having two small children. I feel as though they don’t care at all. Staff was nice when we were there but afterwards customer service very very poor. They didn’t even offer us anything. I suggested that our resort fee should have been free at this point which she blatantly refused and didn’t even refer to her manager. For over a month I haven’t been asking for anything but my own money they stole back. At this point I feel I should have some accommodations. So be wary and check to make sure they don’t steal money from you.

This was our first get away as a couple, it could not have been more romantic. Wonderful food fishing charters nearby and just a very relaxing adventure. Love This Place!

Awesome time so far. The staff is great and friendly. Had a great meal at the Tides restaurant, drinks were fantastic!

There’s a reason nobody posts pictures of the rooms, not well maintain at all. Resort has invested in the grounds, pools, etc… they should pay more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms. At $500/night expected better than 2 stars cleanliness. Staff don’t seem to care if you had or are having a good stay, not asked once even at checkout. Shop around, I’m sure you will find better value.

They have really made the Islander one of the nicer resorts to stay at in the Keys. It's absolutely beautiful and the beach is very nice. Bravo 👏

Shameful the way they treat you here! We came from California. I had called direct to ask questions and find the best rate. Was told I booked an ocean front king … was switched to a room in the parking lot with no view. The staff were the rudest I’ve ever experienced. Everyone checking in yesterday was in tears! One lady left after they were so rude to her. They wouldn’t check people in on time. They made zero apologies for rooms not being ready. Many of us met up later by the pool to discuss what happened. It’s seriously the worst treatment I’ve ever witnessed. Do not stay here!

Beautiful spot… nice staff. Beach is nice but swimming in the ocean is not recommended… nice restaurant and beautiful swimming pools… altogether a ver nice place.

Facilities are beautiful and clean. It’s a beautiful resort and well laid out. There’s lots of landscaping to provide privacy for each room. The only complaint is bar at pool is very expensive.

Our stay at The Islander last week was simply amazing. The staff was friendly, courteous & helpful; the food was remarkable and the rooms we immaculate. We can't wait to visit again… next time hopefully for our entire Florida stay!

The Islandergirl Snorkel Tour was the best! Liz and Erin know how to take care of their guests. Informative, educational and emphasis on safety. These girls are true professionals and make sure your experience is what you expect.

It was an all around TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! They were under different management when the good reviews were made, they are now stuck up and "better than their guests". The general manager "Sher" was an a-hole who spoke down to us. Our car was vandalized in the parking lot after we complained about the food, WHICH ABSOLUTELY SUCKS, the Burger King down the street is 5 star compared to them. Myself and EVERY OTHER GUEST THERE complained for 2 days about the "heated pools" not being heated and being unbearably cold. I spoke to the manager about it, since at 2pm on day 2, they said they just turned on the heater an hour ago, so I confronted him and said he dropped the ball, because they should have known the weather forecast and adjusted to it ahead of time, not 32 HOURS LATER WHEN THE FORECAST WAS STILL GOING TO BE COLD FOR 2 MORE DAYS! So we paid $800 to do NOTHING BUT SIT IN A ROOM FOR 3 DAYS, AND HAVE TO DRIVE OFF THE PROPERTY TO EAT OR FIND A HEATED POOL! BY far the WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN FLORIDA! Save your money for a place that actually listens to and cares about customer service, I say this is NOT AT ALL A RESORT! The mangers response to the popl temperature was " We j. G ave a set temperature we set it too and if it was uncomfortable for you, too bad"!

Superb resort with excellent amenities! Very clean large suites. Highly recommend!

Super spacious and private resort with 1, 100 feet of beachfront, 2 pools & a spa, an outdoor bar with 4 TV’s. Parking immediately behind your room, all rooms on the ground floor with a lanai. Very bright, clean and fresh, many flower gardens, kids play area and mini water park. Dog friendly including a food menu at the bar for them! What more could you want?

Great place to just relax with the family. It’s super safe and clean. Rooms are gorgeous and they’re steps to all amenities. Great atmosphere. I totally recommend it. I just can’t wait to get back to Islamorada and stay there.

All of the staff we encountered were friendly and gracious. Each person took time to answer our questions and make us feel like the only guest they were helping. Would definitely visit again :)

We just checked in and our first impressions are very good. Grabbed a late dinner at Tides and everything was delicious. Our server and all of the staff have been very friendly and super helpful. We will be back.

Love this place! Excellent service and beautiful resort. Pool side bar is always a fun time and the newly opened Elements restaurant is off the chain. Staff is friendly and overly accommodating — will definitely be back!

Nothing but great things to say about The Islander! My wife and I stayed here June 2019 and loved every second of it. Family friendly, pet friendly, clean and spacious. Ideally located with friendly and helpful staff. We will be back!

Our stay at the Islander Resort was spectacular! Beautiful property, friendly staff, and relaxing Islamorada atmosphere! Had a great time on our snorkel trip with Islander Girl based right on the property! I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Went to the Mother’s Day brunch and the food was delightful with an incredible selection to choose from.

Very clean and close to a lot of places to enjoy. I stay here again when we visit. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I absolutely loved this place. Our screened patio was right off the beach, great pool/bar/beach. Great food and drinks across the street to watch the manatee and wildlife.

If you ever get a chance to head up (or down) to Islamorada, you ABSOLUTELY MUST go here. Great food and drinks by two amazing pools. One shallow entry and one more adult friendly! The property is AMAZING! Karly Venezia & gang are doing big things up the Keys & islander resort is the perfect little get away! Highly recommend!

My home away from home! We love staying here… everything is at your fingertips! We also cant wait to get married here. No thanks to Hurricane Irma, we had to cancel it and are waiting patiently to re-set our new date with the all new, re-vamped Islander… cant wait to see you all soon!

This is a beautiful resort in Islamorada that I would definitely return to on every visit. Their prices cannot be beat for what you get. The property has large spacious rooms equipped with a kitchen, an enclosed private outdoor area, two pools, a fishing pier, etc. The property was very clean, the staff was very friendly.

Truly an amazing resort… each room is a spacious suite, with patio, BBQ grill outside, small kitchenette including appliances, pots, pans etc… wonderful decoration with paintings made by Guy Harvey, two swimming pools, one hot water pool, pool side bar n grill serving amazing food and drinks, private beach, fishing pier, water sport… I mean it has got everything for a resort should have… absolutely no complains; very courteous staff and lifetime memories. I wish I could stay longer. I am very happy with stay and we as whole family made great memories. I would recommend anyone!

Cozy and well located site although the beach and the sea are nowhere near the best of the keys.

Upon check in the woman at the front desk was very unprofessional and not welcoming at all. It took 2 minutes for her to even acknowledge me walking through the door. I had a few questions regarding parking and our boat and she seemed to be bothered I was asking questions and came back with, "I will get to that. " She was more concerned with making sure I knew there was a 25$ replacement fee for the bracelets they require to be worn if I want to go to the pool. Over all, customer service is sub par. We proceeded to our room to unload our bags. We had some cleaning lady stand behind our boat and throw her hands up at us and roll her eyes. Seriously considering finding a room elsewhere! Not what we were expecting maybe our expectations were set too high, word of advice Islander Resort… DO BETTER!

Clean rooms. Full kitchen with frig microwave stove and dishwasher. Large screened patio. Sand with lounge chairs right outside your room. Beach and ocean about 500 steps away. Beautiful private beach. Salt water and chlorine pool. Kiddie pool. Fishing pier. Water and regular bikes to rent. Nice place for families or couples. Tiki bar by pool. Something for everyone.

The welcome was very friendly and informative!
Great pool area with bar and access to the hotel's own beach.
There on the beach the chairs were free.

Nice room but air conditioning very noisy. Too many people with drinks in the pool.

Enjoying the moments we spend together as a family here, we've had fun visiting all the near by attractions that are only a few minutes away. The resort is comfortable and welcoming, the staff is polite and helpful. Perfect for a few days to get away. We also got to bring the dog and didn't worry about finding a sitter. My son and daughter loved the kiddy pool. I love the smell of the ocean in the breeze and the stars in the night sky. Have fun!

Great resort! We got a great rate on Hotels Tonight and were pleasantly surprised. This is an older motel that has been renovated. The outside of the buildings look a bit like a detention center or something but the rooms are well decorated and clean. Each room has a little kitchen and a screened in porch, which is great. The property is beautiful!

I was staying in the Kayos with a friend who lived there for 11 years. I took it here and said all the locals go to the Islander to relax. I loved it completely, the staff was friendly and very friendly, they talked to us like friends, very relaxed. We ate some Blackened Fish sandwiches with bacon. They were delicious! I also loved the pool and hot tub. All very relaxed. Leave my bag with confidence that no one will take it, and no one will ISO, not like Miami where people steal. Great for children and families, very friendly. 5 Star.

Stayed here for a week. A great facility with spacious rooms. Great terrace and outdoor area. Also the pool area is very nice. The beach is not as usual though. You can't go into the water like a normal beach. That was a pity.

I loved it there. We stayed there for two nights and it was perfect. The check in was really fast and the lady told us everything we needed to know. The rooms are super nice, clean and spacey. Really feels like a vacation home. The pools are heated which was very nice because we were there in February. The breakfast in the morning is pretty nice, toast, bagels, cereal, pastries and fruit. I'd totally go there again, it's a super location and soooo beautiful.

Hubby and I were looking for a quick weekend getaway, and this exceeded our expectations. Clean, beautifully decorated with bright Guy Harvey decor, very nice beach with lounge chairs, a freshwater and saltwater pool, hot tub, hammocks everywhere, a great breakfast buffet, a fun pool bar/grill… we're already ready to go back. Price was as expected, not dirt cheap but not crazy.

We arrived on a Monday with our 2 teenage daughters. Our room was wonderful. Newly renovated and in an awesome location. The resort is on Islamorada, which was a great place to see the Keys from. We didn't eat on premises, so I can't comment on the food. The pools were great and the ocean was right out our door. I would gladly recommend this resort with no remorse! When we go back to the Keys, We'll stay @ Islander Resort! Thank you for an awesome vacation, It was one of a kind!
