Don’t ever go here. This places sucks. They have bedbugs and dirty rooms. Plus the stole/rob at 18 year old girl here money back.
My daughter went there on a Friday and left Monday, was so post to stay in till The up coming Saturday. Kept getting bit while sleeping. Asked them to clean her room and they never came the whole. Monday when she checked out she asked when will she get her refund on the because she left early. The girl what’s sure she said to call the she booked through. She called them and they told her that it was the hotels responsible for the refund. When she called back the ladies were nasty to her on the phone. She called me up set. I called them they told me she will look into because she didn’t work the weekend. Okay she said she would call one of us later. Well we waited almost the whole day. She called back and tells her she not get her refund back. What the F@@K is wrong with this hotel. I will never stay at the hotel ever again. I highly recommend you go through a way different hotel then this sucky one.

Lady at the entrance is very rude. The Wi-Fi is not working. She tells me it's not her fault because her boss said it's suppose to be working. I showed her my phone showing the password she gaves me is wrong
But she's aegumenting. As a professional worker from Canada, I'm still not able to work with their Wi-Fi. She told me that everyone is complaining about the Wi-Fi but she also told me that her boss tell her that the Wi-Fi is working without any problem. 🙄🙄🙄. Wake up!

Found bed bugs in room
woman at the front desk was very rude. Told us we had to get out of the room. Refused refund. Owner very unprofessional. Hung up when I called the next day. Had to take my 1yo son to Er because we didn't know why he had bites all over him!

A bit pricey if your looking for something under $150 with pets. $15 pet fee when most places are $10. Other than that, very friendly and nice atmosphere. The rooms are bigger than a one bedroom trailer home if that. Not too big, perfectly spacious.

Rented two rooms. Asked for 2:00 pm checkout for one of the rooms to shower after scalloping trip and to allow my mother a place to stay while we were on the boat. Not only did they put all of our stuff outside the room at 11:30am but they also kicked out my 83 year old mother. Made her wait in the heat with our stuff till we got there an hour and a half later. WHO DOES THIS? Management here needs some lessons on human decency! The foreign gentleman at the desk that morning said “Ok… no problem” when my brother asked for the late checkout. Of course he wasn’t there at check out time and no one left any notes. The old lady that was there at 1:00 said she had no way of knowing and that it was not the usual policy to allow that. THAT’S WHY WE ASKED! You could have charged extra for the late check out… no problem. Instead you chose todo the most inhumane thing and kick an elderly woman out of the room. I will never stay at an Econo Lodge for the remainder of my life. This hotel chain should be ashamed and the staff located at the Crystal River, FL establishment should all be fired!

Great, quiet, no frills place to stay. Room was very clean, bed is very comfortable. Debbie at the front desk was wonderful & most accommodating. It's right on 19 but you can't hear the traffic in the room. The pool is magnificent. I would definitely stay here again. There is a mini fridge & microwave in the room. There are coffee pots at the office but you have to bring the makings. If not there is coffee & a small continental breakfast in the lobby. Vending machines & ice are on the premises as well. Enjoyed my stay very much!

If I was only able to see the reviews of this past week before I stayed. Here is my synopsis of events bad, then good. Soda machine eats money, $2 a can anyways, but desperate measures as is in the middle of nowhere. We had no comforter on the bed, but to my surprise wouldn't be needed, as the ac did not work well. They blamed it on the humidity, really?! Sink didnt drain well, even after maintenance stopped by. No change available on site either. GOOD: A bed to lay your head, and a shower to rinse off as needed. Pool and a bar of soap, with a cup of apple juice with a muffin for breakfast. This is more of a motel by my standards.

I will do my best not to complain and give this place an honest review. Let's start with my check in, after I finished checking in, I am waiting for my receipt and the lady tells me the printer stopped working and I can't have a receipt. I told her I would fix the printer. She said ok and let me back behind the counter. I unplugged it, plugged it back in and it worked she was very surprised that worked and had never thought to try. After I get my family and kids in the room we unpacked and immediately turned down the air to cool off the room as I would safely assume most people do. The room never got cool, it stayed hot and muggy in the room for 2 hrs until I finally went to the office and asked the lady for another room with colder air. She informed me there was nothing else available so I kindly asked for return policy and my money back, she simply told me she was just a clear and didn't know any of that information. On top of that it was Fri night and there was no one else on duty no manager and she told me she had no one to call. I was told I had to wait until Monday to talk to a manager. I immediately packed my family and our things back into the car and took my family to the Holiday Inn that was right down the street that had cold rooms and a manager on duty. You really do pay for what you get.

If you are looking for the cheapest option in Crystal River, you’re probably going to end up here. I left the room booking to someone else in my party, and that was my mistake, lol. Any who, the room is okay, not overly dirty or anything but highly outdated and kind of dingy. The bathroom is VERY small and for lack of better descriptions “old looking”. There are constantly incredibly shady looking people scouring the parking lot. I felt uncomfortable basically every time I had to go to my car because some strange guys would be watching me or making comments at me. The free breakfast is pretty laughable. I just utilized the coffee and OJ. All in all the place just looks and feels really run down. Definitely wouldn’t be my first choice but if you’re on a super tight budget go for it!

Pros: 1. Breakfast was available, but we never went to. 2. Pool looked enjoyable, but we didn't swim in. 3. A/C in the room got cold after 24 hours of being on the highest and coldest temperature. Cons: 1. Mini fridge leaked. 2. Shower didn't stop dripping and no pressure. 3. $100 deposit on a cash payment, on top of my credit card on file. 4. When I made reservations in March, I was told $75 a night. When I checked in, connected to the Wi-Fi, and checked the room rates, my exact room was on their website for $65. When I confronted the front desk lady, she said there was nothing she could do about it. 5. My car door was scratched by the unpleasant man staying in the room next to ours. I will not stay here again.

The staff were welcoming, the place quiet and the value for money matched. The decoration is outdated but the facilities were functioning properly.
The big downside is the hygiene of the room in which we landed: my companion was literally devoured by bed bugs! More than 100 stings in one night, so we then took the trick to systematically check the mattresses of the following hotels
I hope that we have only been unlucky and that the managers will deal with the problem quickly for their future customers…

Pool was nice, rooms were clean but could really use an update. It was fine for the price.

Not great. Beds were clean. Bathroom was clean-ish, but smelled gross and was really old and stained (let's face it — something that old would be hard to make it look clean). Even though I reserved the room for 5, when we requested a cot for my 14-year-old, we were told that we were supposed to have told them we had five in our party so housekeeping could give us one. My 14-year-old ended up having to fetch one herself. Their computers were giving them a lot of trouble, so MAYBE that accounts for the problem. The phones didn't work half the time. The cable went out for a while. The staff was so busy trying to fix issues that they were not super helpful.

The room itself was fine, old but clean and it has everything you need. The main problems here are the free Wi-Fi you are supposed to have in room doesn't exist, and that staff just don't care enough to be helpful. I told the lady at the front desk we had a strong signal but it showed that the modem itself was not connected to the Internet, probably just needed to be reset. Her response was "the rooms in the back of the complex don't always have internet you can use the internet elsewhere in the motel". I guess you are just supposed to stand in the parking lot or in the front office if you want to use it. We were there for 3 days and the problem was never fixed. Breakfast was nothing special and we had trouble getting coffee twice. All things considered the place is clean and cheap but doesn't deliver on its promises. I would have given more stars if they just didn't bother saying they had Wi-Fi.

This place is awful they have bugs which is something I not with. They took away our microwave because of whatever reason and wouldn't give it back to us. One of house keeping ladies and front desk clerk are the rudest ever. They refuse to give us back our microwave. The Wi-Fi sucks and it blocks a lot of phone service inside the rooms. If your going to be in crystal river fl find out the place and get something that is a suite. I logged a complaint with CHOICE HOTELS but they said we needed to check out first. Ugh. I'm leaving cause I can not stand it. The other person is staying. Didn't know hotels took away things from out the room.

Room was big and bed was comfortable. Facilities were a bit old and the hair dryer didn't work. Good location for manatee swim and great parking, right in front of the room. Breakfast was simple.

It is what it is. Older property, needs updates but looked pretty clean. For me bed was uncomfortable. Smoking room actually smelled nice coming in. Was there for only one night but would consider again. Didn't see any bugs!

Room so far okay, the breakfast was very manageable. Recommended for short stays.

Laundromat is only one set with the dryer button broken off. Didn't know how much it was. The rooms were clean and smelled nice. Staff is friendly!

Poor service, rooms not turned 6 of our 9 night stay. Run down, overall hotel condition is poor and in need of updates, cleaning and updates. Go down the street to the Quality Inn. Much better and larger rooms for only $10 more per night. Staff had no concern over failure to turn rooms and permitted it to continue. Avoid this facility, you will be glad that you did.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. The room they gave me did not have any working AC. It was as hot inside the room as it was outside. The front desk told me to wait an hour for the AC to kick in… it did not. MIDNIGHT… After an hour of no change I had gone back to the front desk and they had moved me to the next room. AC was blowing almost cool air which had been a step up from the first room. I had asked front desk for a late check out of 11:30/12 and was told to call the front desk the following morning to ask the manager if I could do so. (The whole point of a late check out is to sleep in, not wake up early and wait until the manager shows up at 8a. M) I slept passed my alarms from working all day prior and from the whole 2 hour debockle of switching rooms at 1 in the morning. I had awaken to 3 housekeepers banging on my door at 9 a. M to vacate because they had to clean my room. Really guys? Really? Your hotel is a roach infested garbage can with AC units that DO NOT WORK and ancient TV'S will always remind me that you will be the very last place I would ever consider to stay at. That is, after my car. Your toothless house maids are very eager to get everyone out so they could get home and smoke crack by Noon. No, I would NEVER stay there again. Advice to everyone else? Pass it on by. Disgusting. For being a loyal Diamond Member, you will never get my cash as with any other econo lodge.

The room was not cleaned very well. Specifically the bathroom. The room itself was dated. It smelt like mold and the bed was hard and you could feel the springs. There were only 3 pillows for a king size bed. Breakfast was horrible. The coffee was luke warm and tasted like water. There was no bagels. No juice. There were packages of powdered donuts, packaged honey buns and package ding dongs! Really!?!?

Stayed here a few years ago and the service was par at best. It really looks like the hotel cleaned itself up and improved on its staff. I didn't stay here, but visited an out of town friend for a while.

Air condition in room didn't cool good. Had to buy fan to help out. I told them this everyday. I was told Maintenance man said all was good. I told them they needed to hire someone else that he didn't know what he as talking about. Also my husband and I was sitting outside our room drinking coffee when the owners wife told us we had to move because her husband was asleep in Mobile ho m e behind us and we were to loud. He couldn't sleep! I said now he knows how we felt. It was to hot for us to sleep We will never ever stay there again.

Clean and in good condition. Room for 3 with two queen beds and a table with two chairs. Spacious room with fridge, microwave, hair dryer, flat screen TV of at least 32" and plugs with USB sockets. It has a swimming pool. As you hit to say that the Wi-Fi is lousy and the breakfast pretty much what you have to catch and take it to the room as there is no physical place to take it.

Great for an overnight stay. Very surprised how clean the rooms are. I got this hotel for very cheap and I would definetly go back and stay. I have paid more money for higher end hotels and they haven't been this pleased. Cheap, clean, friendly staff, quiet atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone.

Clean, but needs to be renewed already. Offers quite a few services in the rooms. Good relationship quality — price. Easy to find.

Terrible stay go some where else, ac sucked fridge was dirty microwave did not work pool was out of service the guest next to me found cock roaches front desk lady was rude and constantly interrupted me when I complained just terrible.

This hotel was very disgusting. We stayed in room 114 and we had nothing but problems. Our bathroom smelled very bad, our bath tub was yellow, there was an old cigarette but in our toilet paper roll and this is a non smoking room, cob webs every where, dead mayflies all over, we weren't allowed to use the pool for two days we were here, and German cockroaches crawling around on our table and chairs. We had problems with the water not getting hot and our air conditioner barley worked. The door was falling apart. This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Will never be back I can garente that! Worst hotel I have ever stayed at!

Nice place, clean room. A/C went out the first night and they fixed it right away. Nice pool but it needs some work. Too much green stuff on the sides for me to swim in but it has potential.

The room was not bad at all, but there was a lot of noise all night making it hard to sleep.

It's OK. Our room had rust in the sink, and a bathroom not in the best condition. Everything had been cleaned though. The outside is kinda cute. The continental breakfast was simple, and included OJ that had gone bad… but all in all it's OK. The front desk was a highlight.

Great place to lay your head for a night or two. You get what you pay for though. Just slightly better than camping. But we were not there to stay at the hotel but to enjoy the town, which we did!

I was just thier wensday night seen bug and it waz bed bug told ppl came in room check lots of bed bugs in the wood of under the bed Manger lady got made wit us bcz my husband told her it's the law u gotta get rid of those things & we been going thier 4 years n she told us go bring our business sum were eles next year our family & friends goo thier but not any more in crystal river. Place is fested wit bed bugs we had bond our car n cothles sooo we won't bring them in our home. It's a shame we didn't kno n visited family n now they could have them in thier homes. Ppl waz not friendly plus tat manger.

The beds are extremely hard and only full sized, so sleeping 2 adults to the bed is a challenge. The room smelled terribly of musky mold and the linens need to be replaced. It's an old, cheap motel that we won't be staying in again. This is truly a case of "you get what you pay for".

Just a basic budget motel room, but reasonably clean with no insects. The TV was an old tube style from the '80s — not a modern flat panel one — but it worked. The free Wi-Fi was good — I could stream HD movies from Amazon Prime without buffering. The free breakfast is worthless: mediocre coffee and some stale supermarket mini-muffins, so plan on a trip to the nearby Denny's. The A/C was very loud.

It was great had a very god time and it was clean.

Good enough place to sleep, spacey parking lot. Breakfast option was not a lot although they have put the bread in the small ziplock bags so it was helpful for me as during that trip I always have my breakfast to go.

I had a late check in, the ac was not running so the room smelled musty, everything was clean and in good order except the bath tub it had dirt and crud on the bottom. Since there was no house keeping I let the hot water run till it was cleaned out. House keeping started making there rounds at 830 knocking on every door; thats a bit early in my opinion. If you need a place to sleep its not a bad option, breakfast is minimal.
