Location was great due to it was just enough away from things yet close enough.

Best place in the Keys. Friendly people great pool with a great tiki bar and very reasonable prices! We love it and definitely recommend it!

Friendly & helpful staff. Clean rooms. Great pool. Although at the quiet end of Key West that's an advantage because you can escape the noise of downtown. Going through a refurbishment just now and we were in section that had not been refurbished yet. But rooms were still nice. However there is no disturbance, no disruption & you wouldn't really know works were ongoing. Recommend the Fury trips especially 'dolphin watching & snorkeling' and the 'double dip snorkeling' trips. Both finished with watching sunset from boat. Worth every cent.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The views are amazing even the look over the pool! The pool is huge and very clean and the food at the Cheekie Hut is great too. Also the customer service from the front desk is exceptional will be coming back to stay here all the time!

Hotel is under renovation very noisy. Doors were very hard to open. A/c extremely noisy. I have stayed there every year for 20 years and I will not stay again. Check in staff not very nice was advised they would waive 75 dollar incidental charge but showed up on my credit card for 50 and took 3 days to come off. Never had that charged before for 20 years. Will be looking for another hotel to give my business to!

It is very misleading. They are doing major renovations and the rooms are horrific. The kitchen is not open on time. Had several choices to choose other places that are much better, but went by good faith.

It's got great staff… but currently renovating, they won't tell u unless you call and ask specifically wait till construction is done. And every night is a different price… which changes your rates. We had 1 night at 199 the next night was 280 and our last night was 247… so be aware of your total price.

I know, I know. Don’t get me wrong, but for 2 people to eat in a restaurant, that looked homie, The Food was delicious, the bill was ridiculous, almost $150.00. So if their food is very delicious, and the price that high, I would think the rooms in BestWestern ambassador hotel would at least have a big tub or jacuzzi big enough for 2 in every room. The pol and tiki hut were excellent. Just wish rooms were something to have you coming back for many, many years. I love Key West.

When we checked in, we were kindly welcomed by Irene. She was extremely Nice, Happy and Helpful. We established a conversation and she asked us for the reason of our visit, and we told her. Out of nowhere, she told us that she was going to upgrade us to a poolside view room, due to our Anniversary! She also gave us a welcome bag with treats and gave us her personal recommendations for the Island (which we Really Appreciated! ). We got to the room and settled in, after a few minutes, a bellman knocked on the door. He was carrying a bottle of Champagne with two glasses as a treat from the hotel! We couldn’t believe it! They made our Stay Extra Special! The rooms was clean and spacious, with a balcony that has a beautiful view of the pool and the ocean. It has a small fridge with a freezer compartment and microwave. Its conveniently located close to the airport and the beaches. It’s a small ride away to downtown. Overall, we are Extremely Satisfied and Grateful! We Highly Recommend it!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this motel. We had the top floor double queen with an ocean view and it was awesome! Well worth the extra money for the view. The room was clean and nice and plenty of floor space. Other motels I've felt pretty cramped but not in this room. The free breakfast was great. It had a good variety of different breakfast foods and yes it has waffles which are the kiddos and my favorite. On the grass just outside the breakfast room there were a bunch of iguanas which were awesome and a highlight for my family. I had read the reviews for this motel before we stayed and worried about the planes from the airport. They didn't fly during the night the two nights we were there but they did start at seven in the morning and woke us up. My husband slept through it. It just gave me a chance to get up, walk across the street to the ocean and watch the sunrise. I would stay at this motel again.

We chose to stay here during a getaway on Key West and had a nice stay. The room facing the pool and partial ocean was very nice. The room and bathroom could use some updating but not terrible. The staff especially Irene was so pleasant checking us in. This is away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street but just a short drive. The included breakfast was very good for a family of four. We enjoyed the sunrise on our last day. This is a very nice hotel not a 300$ a day resort with extra parking fees and resort fees. It is located right next to the airport so we enjoyed watching the jets and planes taking off.

Nice place. Got upgraded upon arrival and the room was nice and spacious. The pool area was large and accommodated a lot people both in and around it. Breakfast was your normal continental buffet. There were a bunch of large Iguanas roaming the property that were fun to spot. Would have rated 4 stars but the power went out 3 times throughout the night causing all lights and the air conditioning to go off.

Do not stay at this property. I read the reviews before we stayed here, and it was horrible. Our room smelled like mildew, there was a gap in our door where you could see light, and we had bugs in our room and were eaten alive. We stayed here for our honeymoon, we got married at sunrise which was our dream to get married in Key West. The air conditioner was so loud, we could not even sleep at night. The bed was awful, the couch material felt gummy and weird, it was just such a disappointment. We will know better for next time not to stay at a Best Western. I will say that the pool was very nice, the bartender Mike was great, and he made terrific Mai Tai's (Thank God, he saved our wedding day). And the Concierge was very nice, and made reservations for us for our wedding dinner. The room was a complete zero. I only gave one star, because it would not let me post it with no stars.

Staff was very helpful and professional. Grounds were immaculate, Cheeky Bar fully stocked, Mike was very nice. Rooms recently updated very clean and spacious. Bar fridge came in handy. Bed was super comfy. We were very pleased with everything. We will be back for sure. Asked our friends what their opinion was and they felt the same way. We will all be back in the future. Maria, the concierge was also a terrific help with a variety of fun ideas to choose.

Traveled with an 8 month old puppy. The room was completely tiled which is a great idea for dog reserved rooms because it takes the paranoia of accidents out of the equation for the traveler (smelling other pet accidents and leaving their own mark). Bathroom door had a big problem with sticking, so it was hard to open and close. Had a pool view which was nice since we were located at the back of the complex where most of the dog reserved rooms are located. Airport is literally in their back yard. Planes start taking off around 0700 am and are very loud. If you're an early bird, this is not a problem. If you want to sleep in and relax, not so great. I don't remember any late flights, past 1000 pm. Breakfast options were good. I am gluten free and they offered a gluten free waffle mix. Will be cross contaminated because they share the waffle irons with the regular waffle mix. Also had Cheerios and fruit as an option. My husband and son enjoyed the Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches offered.

Note that the breakfast room is relatively small considering the grandeur of the hotel, and what is more, very remote depending on the situation of the rooms. To be taken into account according to the age of the customers.
Although the hotel is located at the end of the tracks of the airport, the noise is not annoying as far as there are no flights at night.

We really liked the room; it was big and spacious, and everything was cleaned! The most we enjoyed in our short (1 night) stay was the breakfast; we loved it! It was great and they had a lot of different things to eat! Thank you very much everyone!

Such a beautiful hotel! The pool is fantastic! It has the cool fountains with dolphins and actually has deep water. They also have a poolside tiki bar! Our room was on the Atlantic ocean side and we had a balcony that look right at the water. There was only a street and there was the ocean. I watched the most beautiful sunrise while sipping my coffee the next morning, from my room. They also have a great continental breakfast!

This hotel was very clean and comfortable the front desk was so very caring and helpful the breakfast staff were right on the job keeping everything clean and filled. I would highly recommend this hotel. Its priced good and close to the beach and the tiki hut at the pool was a fun place.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel is located across the street from the ocean and the view is beautiful. Sunrise is spectacular. They also offer free breakfast and they have a bar at the pool. If you want a place to relax in Key West you can't go wrong at the Best Western Key Ambassador.

We were here for 4 nights and found it to be the perfect place to stay. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. The Old Town Trolley comes by every 1/2 hour. This is not just a ride, but also points out all the historic places in Key West. There are 13 stops on the route, so you can get off, enjoy a site or take a tour and get on another trolley. You can do that all day. You can cook on the grill on the back of the property, lounge at the pool, enjoy the drinks and food at the Cheekie Bar and the continental breakfast exceeds all expectations. Hope we get a chance to return and would recommend it.

The pool area, the Cheekie Hut (bar and food). And the views of the Florida Straights are highlights here. The pool view rooms (partial ocean view) are great. The Key West public transport bus picks up here as does the Old Town Trolley Hop on Hop off tour service. I literally walked less than 10 minutes from and to the airport.

Extremely noisy due to air conditioning in the room and the extreme flight noise! Doors and windows not really tight! Not recommended.

Right at the airport, room wobbles and vibrates when the planes start over.
Air conditioning in the room is very noisy, and without earplugs there is nothing to sleep with.
Now to the pool bar which is closed from 07.00pm or from 19.00 o'clock.! That's a pity.
The bathroom door is totally warped and jammed, just like the main door from the room, and so leaky that you think when it rains the door is even open.

Had a great stay. Cold refreshing coconut water awaits upon checkin. Room was very nice with a patio overlooking the water. Loved watching the cruise ships dock. Also convenient location. Giving four stars as I found a long dark hair on back of toilet that never left.

Location was pretty good. Short drive from most anything in Key West. The room was pretty large with a balcony. All the usual amenities were there (coffee maker, water, toiletries). My only criticism, and the reason for four stars, is that there was a foul odor when you left the room. I think it was coming from the creek that winds through the hotel parking lot. Other than that it was a great stay.

Rooms were spacious for a Key West hotel. Hotel is located across from Smathers Beach so has a beautiful ocean front view and a perfect place to enjoy a walk/run on the sidewalk along the beach. There is plenty of parking for all guests, a real plus for Key West. Our room had a nice sized balcony w/ chairs overlooking the pool area which was beautifully landscaped and included a tiki bar. Breakfast is basic but good and included w/ your stay. The hotel would be good for most guest type, including those with families. All staff were helpful and friendly. I would certainly recommend this best kept secret in Key West. ;-) I would definitely stay here again.

Clean rooms and the staff was very accommodating. Pool area is fun and has a nice tiki bar with music. If staff sees you needing help they won’t let you lift a finger. I felt very catered to. It is right near the airport so, frequently, loud planes come in but not bothersome to me. We will definitely stay again. Front desk and concierge were delightful to meet.

Very clean and spacious rooms. The grounds are manicured to near perfection. The pool area and tiki bar exude a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you don't mind being a little out of the way from the downtown area (1-2 miles). I actually prefer staying away from the Duvall St area. Oh, to make it even better, the hotel is right across the street from the seawall giving one a perfect sunrise each morning.

Pretty good. Quite nice and comfortable. The rooms have a good view (of the sea). The breakfast lacks a bit to be good. There is cheese spread and the venue is a little small but has an outdoor terrace. The problem is if it's cold or it rains. Is staff is very friendly. He would come back.

Stay wise fine, but breakfast option sucks. Actually it's just beside Hyatt, ocean view room is actually ocean view but with a wide road in between. Its a peaceful locality though. But the main attraction or market area are not in walking distance. The front office and the buildings are spread out in huge area, its more like a condo premises. Inside room facility wise it was pretty good. Bur breakfast option seriously need to be reconsidered.

Nice bedroom, clean, big queen beds, nice TV and Wi-Fi works seamlessly. Due to the carpet, the room has a funky smell. It won't ruin your stay however. Continental breakfast included.

Rooms are far from pool and not have a view of the sea is not very nice. The good thing is their buffet breakfast. Very good.

The room was very comfortable. View either AIF the sea or the pool + Breakfast: Ready made burgers, waffles for self-baking incl. Toppings/fruit, toast and toast rolls, fruit, cereal, yogurt, jam, peanut butter, tortillas, coffee, juices + fast WLAN/Internet + despite storm Irma just under 2 Months hardly visible damage to Key West (the other keys looked much worse) + — daytime air traffic, at night from ~ 20:00 pm Nothing to hear — Key West-prices — Breakfast: everything from plastic (cups, forks, spoons, knives), plate of cardboard… absolutely not Environmentally friendly!

What a beautiful facility, both inside and out. Our room was a king that overlooked the Atlantic ocean. The room was very spacious, but was cozy, balcony was spacious and the view was AMAZING!

Stayed for one night mid July. Not really a hotel its a motel really. However great views from outside looks across the bay. Nice pool area staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast times very busy. Breakfast room quite small. Iguanas greet you in the mornings for there breakfast.

The beds were hard as a rock, the maid took all our towels didn't replace any of them we had to call the office for them. The breakfast is nice the workers seem like their not happy with their jobs saying little rude comments as people were leaving. The pool cheekie hut area was nice and calm, Mike the bartender was really nice very talkative good team player my family enjoyed him.

Great hotel! Our ocean view room was beautiful and clean, great balcony, came with a dehumidifier which helped a ton! The bathtub could have been updated but it worked and everything else was updated and very nice. Great, friendly staff!

This was a great hotel. More than what we expected. It was our 20th Wedding Anniversary and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We arrived early and our room was immediately accessible to us. This was a big plus as we had our little dog with us who was hot and tired from a long trip. We plan on returning.

Close to the ocean, and airport. Free breakfast, Wifi, parking and shuttle To/from airport. Good friendly service at front desk. Buses right n front got you anywhere, and a trolley for pay was a nice experience that also took you around town and the island. Food and Coctails available maybe 11-5 at pool bar, which is setup nicely for the ocean view and any scrap of breeze. Best pina coladas, though expensive. Pool nice and big. Pool closed before dusk just when sun went down, and we were enjoying being there… We were asked to leave on a saturday for painting out there. Also, specials were offered on their web site that they did not honor. And the call in # you were required to call said they knew nothing about it. Why offer them? bait and switch just to charge you full price. The front desk also had this lack of knowledge owhich is all very suspicious on the local and 800 call Numbers and front desk. Except being asked to leave the pool early. Everyone was super nice, and except for this pricing issue, we liked the hotel. It's like a 3, star. Breakfast employees are exceptionally friendly and helpful… Good at their jobs. Rooms are big and spacious. Planes taking off right overhead and super loud. Its hot and stifling without a breeze. The walkway and ocean are across a street, and there is no shade or breeze. We would not return to this hotel or overhyped Key West. It's super expensive for lodging into May.

Room smelled of urine! I paid $384.00 for one night stay. When we arrived it smellled. Of cleaning products however after touring the town for hours we returned and you could smell the urine. Room seemed to be clean and renovated from other reviews however evident dogs have urinated in the room numerous times. I couldn't sleep the smell. Was terrible!

First day in the hotel and I already have a bad experience with the customer service. The First Lady that took care of me was wonderful, very welcoming and lovable. We are a group of 20 something spread through different rooms and there's a contract that has to be signed for the room. I drove 9 hours with no sleep and I was exhausted so I gave it to my girlfriend to fill out the information. She unfortunately wrote down her friends and not the people in the room by mistake. Another friend arrived and needed a parking pass and the second lady in the office was so rude about the situation. She did not let me explain, told me " do you sign things without reading" in a rudely manner and treated me like I was a child. I did not know that getting a second parking pass for a car was such a problem for this facility when I'm spending more than 1k to be a "guest". I'm in the hospitality industry and it has always been from a business stand of point about finding the yes never about making someone feel retarded just for being exhausted and not signing something and trusting someone close to you to do it for you. Unfortunately I'll be here for almost a week and I'm hoping to have the least amount of interaction with the people in the office, no such thing as a welcoming vacation type of feeling.

Cozy hotel. Had all the answers needed before I could ask. Helped me even got a rental bike and stored it when I was done using it. Had free breakfast as well. Would go again, hell I even tried to book an extra night but they were maxxed out.

This was our second visit. We came twelve years ago. Two years ago we stayed at another hotel which we did not like at all (Parrot Key) so we ran back here for good value. We had a pool view which is also partial ocean view. That is very nice. Rooms were nice. Clean, I did not find them dark or plain as one reviewer stated. Grounds are beautiful for a Best Western. However, air condition did not work well as soon as we got in and had to be swapped out! Lobby very small. One major complaint was that there were people, men mostly hanging out very late outside infront of a room with an open door, for both nights we were there. Think they may have been the maintenance workers who live in a room?! Wierd and disturbing. They were staring at us. Not sure why the hotel allows this. They must be very poor and live on site. Also, right next to the airport. The engines of the planes will make you jump when you are outside at least. However, we really had no major problems except for the AC which was fixed prompty by very polite staff.

Worst Hotel stay in y life. The problem started with us being forced to pay for the whole stay by credit card before we checked in or even saw the rooms. The next problems was the spiders, the room was FULL of spiders! The next problem after that was that the AC was broken, which they promised to fix but did not. The breakfast area was crowded, loud and badly planned. And then the motel is next to Key West International Airport, which have the nice side effect of you not letting you sleep in since the first jet engine comes roaring over the roof top around 7:30 am. But the biggest problem is the staff who is plain rude and disrespectful to your questions, for example when we wanted to change rooms when the AC was broken we just received a "Dont think so. " from the lady in the lobby. This place is worse than prison, the last thing you should do is to stay here. run while you can.

Average motel, check in was easy and the price was right, they have a pool that looked nice, would have liked to use it in the evenings but it closes at dusk, with their tiki bar. So I never bothered, during the day we wanted to be in the center of the city it would have been nice to come back and chill in the pool with a drink after dinner.

Great Stay! Our first time to Key West, we had no idea how to pick the right location, where would we stay and be centric to all and thru my employer found this hotel, took a chance booking it and I don't regret it. We were very happy with the location, the awesome continental breakfast, the room was clean, smell clean, very comfortable, spacious and very pleasant staff. We also enjoyed the pool. Easy to take Trolly for the tour and back. My family and I were very happy and hoping to go back, and for sure, this will be our hotel to stay! Thank you BW, Great place.

Good value for money, privileged rooms around the pool, car essential if we want to reach the center of key west, the only downside, noisy air conditioning system and room breakfast undersized, short cut the AC to sleep and early lunch.

Breakfast was very nice, plenty of parking to go around. Free internet. Didn't happen, was given a number to contact and trouble shoot as to why 4 different devices couldn't connect to it. 1 was owned by my boyfriend who's device was brand new. At breakfast time, the staff would stand around and eat. Yet have a "TIPS" jar sitting on the counter. Here's a "TIP" for you. Don't eat where the guest can see you. Also out at the pool I saw rats going to the Tiki hut. When I made the staff aware of it, you would have thought I was speaking another language to her. Screen on patio. Needs repaired, and water pressure is very low, also water temp wouldn't stay consistent. In the amenities it says bicycle rental is available. Didn't see it anywhere and staff didn't seem to know anything about it when asked. Housekeeping staff, very friendly and glad to give items needed. Always a bonus! For the price we paid for the week, I would have expected the Hilton. Much to our disappointment it was very far from that both service and feature wise.
