My husband booked a suite at this hotel for this past weekend. When arriving we checked in and went to our room to find that they gave us the wrong room. When we notified the staff, which was really rude, they had said that because we had booked through third party company they weren't aware that the room was already booked and gave the room to someone else. We couldn't believe they were telling us this considering right after my husband made the reservation he called the hotel to make sure that we were guaranteed that specific room and the same lady we were speaking to when we got there was the same lady that he had spoke to on the phone the day before. We have a 8 month old baby was the main reason for getting a room with a separate bedroom so my husband and I could watch TV and relax and not disturb her. After about 45 min going back and forth they finally said they could put us in a slightly bigger room than the first but it still wouldn't be the same one we reserved. I also want to add that in that hour of going back and forth with the staff there I was still being charged for the room that I first booked, they never even mentioned to me about lower price to room that we were actually getting. Also I was told that the money wasn't takin out of my account, which we all know that even tho the charge will be pending for at least a day afterwards it is still considered as takin out so we couldn't book a room at a different hotel. This def was not worth the head ache or hassle that I went through esp because we were suppose to be on vacation instead of being told I was a liar. I think that these staff members need to be retrained on how to talk to their customers and how to deal with certain situations. The next day the manager did up giving me back the difference, and she also told me that it had nothing to do with us using a third party that the lady had removed us from that room to put someone else that had children in the suite! Customer service in the hotel stinks not to mention the busy and on going traffic and people in the hotel itself! The extra money that you will spend on a far nicer hotel in this area is def worth it.
