We recently stayed at The Bungalows with our dog and totally loved it! It is "old Florida" tropical in style and was very comfortable. A short walk across the street to the beach, lovely pool, full kitchen. Great location. Very accommodating staff. I have stayed at the fancy big hotels on the beach and I would take this any day over those. They are too impersonal and cookie-cutter for me. I like that we had our own little bungalow! It will be my go-to place when we stay on the beach. I live 20 miles north in Palm Harbor, but sometimes you just need a weekend at the beach and this is perfect! Love it!

They didn’t leave our key in lock box.
By the time we got in the light switch was nowhere to be going.
I tripped over the extremely low bed and broke my tibia.
The TV didn’t work til the second day.

The only reason that I am giving it 3 stars is because the bed was too low for me. Everything else was perfect.

Very cute, Loved the cozy pool area and so convenient to walk right across to the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is so quaint and clean and right by the beach where my friend was having her wedding. Can't wait to revisit the Bungalows again.

Fabulous. Great place to get away. It's old Florida at its finest. Will definitely be back. Enjoyed pool and the beach is just across the street. Owner and staff couldn't be nicer.

Very clean place that was absolutely adorable! Old fashioned but modern at the same time. Really enjoyed ourselves and the old shuffleboard out back kept us entertained in the evening after dinner. Would stay there again!

Absolutely wonderful and beachy. Loved this place. Beach is across the street and not at all packed, felt bad for all the people paying to park there. The pool was right outside our adorable bungalow and we even had our own shaded deck area. Will be back, but next time staying longer. Thanks to the owner for EXCELLENT upkeap. U have inspired me to redecorate my home.

Everything was neat, clean, & updated for an older motel. Very quaint & in a great location.

Believe the 5 star reviews! This place is excellent (but not luxurious). Assuming ur going to book here, here’s some info about what’s provided: we had a 2 bdrm 1 bath unit. Included towels, beach blanket, kitchen fully stocked w pots/pans & dishes, shampoo soap conditioner & lotion. Washer $1 & dryer $1.50 on site. Heated pool & pool towels, floaties, beach toys, beach umbrella, beach chairs, propane grill (propane provided) hammocks, kayaks. 5 minutes walk to the edge of the beach, but at least 10 minutes to the water. John’s Pass is an easy 10 minute walk. Grocery store, restaurants, souvenir shops are about a mile away—we figured out after the first day that the trolley bus picks up directly in front of the hotel. Text the phone number with the bus stop (listed on the sign at the bus stop), and it will tell you how many minutes until the next bus picks up. Overall A+ and we’ll be staying here again next time!

Newly renovated bungalows with a nice pool. Also hammocks and a grill. Directly across the street from beach access with a trolley stop right outside. Would definitely recommend!

We had a fabulous vacation at the Bungalows. Feb 9th 2018 Bungalow has 1-2 bedroom & queen studios. This is what we rented for 2 weeks. Smaller than we have rented in past, but it soon was just perfect for two of us. Grounds have Florida landscape, clean heated pool & parking space. Best best housekeeping staff… wonderful, friendly, helpful. Relaxed not in your room cleaning unless you ask for something. Linen, clean bedding every day or every other. Met awesome people from all over country & Sweden. We had glorious weather & everything in walking distance just over bridge. Travel by car easy also. ⛱ Beach across street, maybe 5 min walk. Safe pedestrian crosswalks on Gulf Blvd. A few small beach chairs we found in laundry room & used for beach time. Comfy sitting areas outside other than pool area. Only suggestion would be hooks or vertical storage to accommodate the small space. Closet one hook. Bath needs hooks & sturdy shelving. Shower was great. Maybe vertical storage. Mainly hooks. Like I said was perfect for 2 of us. We cleverly made space for groceries, toiletries all of our comforts of home & survived 2 weeks in one room. Cozy! 18 steps to pool from room. Friendly neighborhood & vacationers. Recommended.

Very clean with fresh linens daily. It has a beautiful pool and we enjoyed the hammocks to relax with a book. The maids were so sweet and friendly too. The location couldn't be better, so close to restaurants and Johns Pass. I love the fact that it is pet friendly.

Our suite was clean and spacious. It definitely would be a good place to stay in warmer weather as it is near the water. It does lack a bit in decor. White wall, not many pictures.

Great motel. More that I was expecting. Very clean. Only bad thing was a construction on a house right behind it at 6am on my first day but didn't happen on the other day, but besides that we had a nice staying and looking forward to come back again.

This was a great experience! My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend beachcation and absolutely loved it! We stayed in unit which is a pool side one bedroom suite. Everything about it was perfect. The unit was immaculately clean. The pictures perfectly represent the interior. Everything was in perfect working order and up to date. We loved having a fridge for our beers and waters, and a coffee maker where I could make my favorite brew in the morning. Having a pool right out front was perfect! Nobody was ever loud by the pool, so we were not disturbed by the location. The convenience, however, of being 10 steps away from the pool was fantastic! The beach is an easy and quick walk across the street. John's pass is a quick walk over the bridge. This is a fantastic location! I was looking at rooms right on the water for $300+. And for what?!?! This is a better room for 1/4 the price! I will be staying here, in unit 5 actually, again!

Overnight stay, very laid back. Affordable and fully equipped.

Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. When arrived Received a delicious chocolate cookie and water. The room was large, very comfortable bed, all the amenities you need. Larger bath towels. We had a minor refrigerator issue we called front desk problem resolved instantly.

This Property is fairly new. Loved the Location and excess to shops and Food choices. Shuttle to use within a 2 Mile Radius was a Plus. Highly Recommended for family trips and Business Trips. Clean Comfortable, and Quiet.

We stayed here as a family of 5 in 2 of the rooms and is our 2nd visit. Nothing has changed, still a superb spot on treasure island and the owners are fantastic. The motel itself is spotless, in a great location and can't be faulted.

I love this little hotel. It's a bit older so it reminds me of the places my family stayed when I was growing up. It's very clean, has a small pool, and a great expanse of beach on the gulf. It's also within walking distance of some decent restaurants.

Nuce, clean rooms and the staff are fantastic. It's right next to the beach. I stayed in the oceanfront room poolside, but I could see the ocean on both sides of the Island, the Marina, as well as the beach.

This Hotel is cozy, clean, and located on the beach with beautiful views. The staff was professional, kind, and went above and beyond for us to help us get a room. Our experience was that we had a bait and switch situation where the hotel we had originally booked was dirty and not what the add suggested. My friend had stayed at the Barefoot Beach Hotel and called to see if they had a room. It was almost closing time and my son ran over to hold the room as I gathered my bags to search out a place for the night. The owner Aaron came to relieve the kind employee and stayed until we were able to check in. After hearing of the let down of the hotel across the street, he personally carried our luggage and made sure the room was sufficient for our stay. The pool was clean, warm, and decorated beautifully. Free beach rides took us around town, as well as the trolley. I found this business a "breath of fresh air" compared to the previous experience. Really enjoyed staying here, right on the beach near great shops, and things to do. Glad they have an elevator, nice. Kitchenettes, dining/sitting combo room with sleeper sofa and patio. Will definitely be back again!

“GREAT THANKSGIVING” We are snow birds, just came back to Fl from Mi. We have stayed at the Bungalows before, so we made reservations again for 3 nights. We had a great time on Treasure Island and John's Pass. The rooms are all remolded, clean and best of all the owners are great people. The owners will do everything possible to make your stay perfect. This is truly a destination you want to go stay at. Very nice pool, beautiful rooms, great family owned and operated beach right across the street, Over Thanksgiving we even found a great place to eat. Fun place you must go and stay, oh yeah the price is great too. Don't tell them I told you but if you ask you might get a military or veteran discount. Located less than 1/2 mile south of John's Pass.

Beautiful ocean view of the gulf. Room was clean and staff was very friendly. Walk out right to the beach. Only thing is missing is a beach chair you can use… you can rent them from a 3rd party along with an umbrella. But they close up pretty early.

This is our third time staying here and we were not disappointed. Room was super clean and owners were very friendly and accommodating. Not on the beach but just across the street. The price is right too. Very quiet and relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't want to pay those high prices for a beachfront room. Betsy B.

It is located in a place where you can do most anything you desire by the ocean or bay, close to places to eat and lots of activity nearby also at John's Pass shops. Fishing about 300 Ft. In one direction or about 2000 feet under a bridge. The motel is a family run business with the cleanest rooms and best A/C with good moisture control. A big plus in south FL on the coast. The owners try to make you comfortable giving you a tour of the available amenities which includes a pool, areas to have a small gathering, parking is free and close to the rooms, kayaks, bicycle's and Wi-Fi that works well. Also quiet surroundings. Very family oriented.

We stayed for one night but had the most enjoyable time. We met and spent time with one of the owners, Teteyana, who made us feel so welcome. We had a small kitchenette which had everything you could need, including a full size refrigerator. Both rooms were extremely comfortable and clean as was the living room with a couch and wall mounted TV. An unexpected surprise was a bottle of wine and a thank you note from the owners. The pool was heated and pool towels, as well as noodles for the pool were supplied. If we were staying longer we could have certainly used the grill that was available. To get to the beach one only had to cross the street and walk a short distance. We will definitely plan a return trip.

This is a very unique hotel to stay in Treasure Island. The owner's of the hotel live in the property and they check you in personally. They are extremely polite and friendly, they even gave me a free red wine bottle and local tips. My visit was business related, but next time I am going with the whole family.

It was another relaxing stay at The Bungalows Motel! It was our second visit there, and it was Great! Rooms were very clean the pool felt great and the beach is across the street. There is plenty to do in the area. We will definitely stay again.

Perfect experience. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Super clean, super cute and newly renovated. The owner is so accommodating, kind and hospitable. If your looking for the perfect place to vacation to, the bungalows is a MUST!

Terrible experience. Well to start off, very rude service and mean people. Me and my family showed up to check in on Memorial Day weekend and every hotel was sold out so we booked from there a week in advance. So we came and my daughter brought her friend so we had 3 kids and 2 adults. The room was 2 bedroom and a pull out couch which is the perfect amount for the people we have. They refused to let my family stay because there was an extra person. We offered to pay more and they called us offensive names. My family went into a deep depression because we had to go home. The kids were very upset and crying.

The Bungalows Motel was an excellent experience. Nice, comfortable and clean. Had just about everything you could ask for. Stayed a week and everything was perfect. They even had a bottle of wine waiting for us. Nice touch. Owners are awesome. 5 stars from us.

I love this place and would give it more than 5 stars if I could. The owners, Gordon and Tetyana, are gracious hosts who made me feel welcome from check in to check out. They are friendly and very helpful. It is obvious that they have put much thought and consideration into the renovations of this quiet, relaxing motel. The studio in which I stayed was perfect: roomy, remodeled, and immaculately clean. There was a bottle of wine waiting for me in the nicely appointed kitchenette as well as pool towels and everything else I could have possibly needed while staying at The Bungalows Motel. The pool area has a great vibe: mellow, the perfect place to relax and recharge. The hammock was my favorite part of the outdoor area, although the bike rental was a close second! The beach is across the street and John's Pass Village is within easy walking distance. What a perfect location. Give it a try; you'll be glad you did!

Horrible experience here! Stay away! Go right down the street to The Barefoot! Directly on the Gulf, much more reasonable and the staff is super friendly and helpful!

My family stayed 5 nights at the Bungalows hotel. The room was very clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. It was very comfortable and also the service was provided was really good, friendly staff. I would not hesitate to stay again.

My wife and I recently visited The Bungalows and couldn't be happier with our experience. Gordon and Tatiana (the owners) are gracious hosts and the rooms are tastefully renovated. This is our new favorite spot and we look forward to our next visit.

My girlfriend and I randomly found this place online and was excited to just get away. When we showed up the owners were incredibly friendly and hospitable, showing us around the motel not just where our room was, along with a little history of the place. The room was immaculately clean and they had a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us. Coming from Jacksonville, it's a little bit of a drive, but we told ourselves that at least once or twice we will be visiting this little gem every year.

Absolutely Wonderful experience. Originally I wanted to book a one bedroom unit but there were none available so I booked the efficiency unit upon our arrival Gordon let us know right away that there had been a cancellation on the one bedroom and if we would like we could now take that room. He took the time to show us both of the units and we were happy to upgrade to the one bedroom. We had also asked upfront if we could add another guest for our 2nd night stay and Tetyana and Gordon very happily accommodated our request. The unit was immaculate and very nice. Tetyana and Gordon were simply fabulous! Tetyana even took time to just come and talk with us while we were sitting outside and I have to say my girlfriend and I just Love her. She is so nice and so funny. We had a great time chatting with her! We will definitely be coming back to stay here and letting everyone we know what a Wonderful place this is.

Traveled to the Florida with my wife. We spent a week in this motel. Owner is a retired Marine Master Sergeant. He and his wife are very friendly. Rooms are renovated and clean. Pool is clean also. A lot of adventures around that area. We had an amazing time. We will come back next year. Thanks.

Boyfriend and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. Rooms were SUPER clean, decor was very modern and up to date. Location was perfect. Highly recommended! By far my favorite spot on the beach.
