We had so much fun staying here! It is in a perfect spot, the staff is super friendly and helpful. And you can’t beat their private beach especially if you have kids. When we were there the water was super calm and just perfect for our kids to play in and the beach is loaded with seashells! We will most definitely be back!

The Bride and I had an Awesome time. Wished the weather had been more cooperative but we cant control the weather. We had a balcony room that had a great view. The room was very clean and ALL the staff were very nice and pleasant. Nice pool and hot tub. There is a nice little market across the street which was very convenient. We will visit again!

It is not like the pictures at all. Very old and not nice at all. The floors were dirty and not vacuumed. Not happy with a $225/night room when they told me it was $200/night.

I've been here at least 10 times on saturdays. We are here for 4 days this trip. The Tiki bar next door is fun and only steps away from the water. My hubs and I love it here so far.

I had a great room, it was clean and updated from what people told me that had stayed there before. One couple I met has stayed there for the last 20 years so The Gulfview hotel must be doing something right. The price is crazy low so that’s a huge factor for me. Very friendly front desk staff, Joyce was especially helpful… housekeeping staff were friendly, rooms were clean and hotel amenities were good… overall an affordable hotel right on the beach!

During our vacation in Kissimmee we decided to go to Clearwater Beach for the night. We were torn between a few hotels and chose the Gulfview and were very happy we did! Mario at the front desk provided us with great customer service, was very patient and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make our stay a great one Congrats Mario & fiance on your impending bundle of joy in Feb! Bill and Joyce were very nice as well. The bed was comfortable and we loved our balcony view. The pool and hot tub as well as private beach were great. We encountered 3 dolphins as well as a manatees and met very nice people on the beach. The hotel has a great location. We will definitely stay here again when we're in town.

I took my mom here for her birthday and the young man Mario made my experience 10x better. He fully accommodated us with everything we wanted and he was very polite and respectful. He made my moms birthday even better! We will definitely be coming back to this hotel because of him. Thanks for everything, we had so much fun.

The Gulfview Hotel is small and quiet. When you enter the hotel you are greeted by Joyce who is sweet and always welcomes you with a warm smile. The rooms are not extremely large but for the price they are perfect. Last but certainly not least is the hotel's maintenance e cleaning staff. They are all very pleasant, through and most of all extremely helpful. Circiao (older Hispanic gentleman) was especially pleasant friendly and always willing to help!

My wife and I were here last week for a short getaway from Chicago. We wanted something on the water and close to all the attractions and restaurants. It was a perfect location, Great private beach, friendly staff and clean rooms. Everyone at the hotel was very accommodating and made our experience better then we expected. Anyone looking for a good clean hotel near all the fun stuff Clearwater has to offer this is your place. We will definitely be back! Thanks again Gulfview staff!

The room was small, and we found one roach in the room crawling on the wall, hallways smelled moldy. But the room was clean, bed was comfortable and staff was real friendly and helpful. The beach was quiet and private and close to the building. The pool was clean. I personally would not stay here again, I do not like roaches, and where there is one, there is more.

Great views of the gulf. We stayed on the 3rd floor, end unit next to Shepard's. Enjoyed live music from our balcony. I gave it 3 stars because the hotel needs remodeling to charge the price I paid. Rooms were nice and clean but furniture, bed frames and cabinetry need upgrade. Staff was pleasant. Pool and Beach area was awesome. Beautiful place.

Very excellent place to stay. Clean rooms. Phyllis at the front desk was awesome. In fact everyone there was especially nice. Rooms had balcony which were perfect. Music from Shepherds next door was really cool. Hotel is right next to everything. Right on the beach. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Not a bad hotel for the price. Clean rooms and comfy beds as well as staff who are very nice. The only downfalls are the dryer we used didn’t dry our close and they cost two dollars. Also their private beach isn’t so great. It’s too small with not much room to swim and there are no chairs provided for the beach like the hotels around them. You can’t remove the ones by the pool as there’s a sign that clearly states not to. It’s much better to walk up to the public beach which isn’t that far.

We just spent 7 days and had the best time. I booked a room overlooking the parking garage being less expensive and asked to upgrade. The manager Joyce was so very helpful and nice. She took the time to to explain that there were no rooms available but I could move on Monday. Since we were there for 8 days, I didn't mind waiting especially since she was so nice and apologetic. Hey it wasn't her fault I screwed up. Other people came in and did the same thing but weren't so nice about admitting they made a mistake. MIss Joyce never lost her cool. She did step away and I bet she was counting to 10 but she was a true professional. Everyone I met, while we were there were wonderful, Lance and the man in the middle of the night were very polite and helpful. The dark haired lady Pillis always looked grumpy and busy but I think she is new. Housekeeping was great and the hotel is clean even when so very busy. The pool is small but we came for the beach! My family and I love this place and will be back. Thanks to Joyce and the other employees.

Great hotel, room was golf front. Staff was very friendly and go all out for anything you need or want. Rooms are big. I will definitely be booking gulfview again.

Great location! Ocean view right from our room! Great music right next door. Loved every minute if our stay there!

I was on the road all day and wanted to check in and get a shower. I got to the room and there was no shower curtain. The base of the tub/shower was dirty. There was mold where the shower walls meet the top of the tub. Called the front desk and they brought up and hung a shower curtain. The curtain was folded at the bottom. I unfolded it and a clump of hair fell out. The shower/tub walls are plain with no place to put a shampoo bottle or soap. There was a moldy patch in the ceiling of the bathroom, apparently from a leak in the unit above. The toilet seat was loose. The lovely Gulf View was the wall of the parking garage next door. The deck had a beer can rolling around from the previous guest. The entire unit looked dirty and worn. I intended to stay for a couple of nights. I felt so uncomfortable I left the first thing in the morning. I spent two weeks in Florida between March and April. I was happy with all the places that I stayed with the exception of The Gulf View.

The beat price hotel for college spring breakers, I mean yes it has no room service no amazing luxurious amenities but the location is perfect. And well perfect.

Our experience here was great. There were three types of rooms: standard (no view), partial view, and gulf view. Before we came we upgraded to the gulf view and it was definitely worth it for what is a much better deal than anywhere else in the area that is directly on the beach. I've stayed in both super fancy hotels and really crappy hotels, and I consider this one nice, with a location that puts it over the edge on the better end of my experiences. Sure the hallways aren't spectacular considering the years of people coming and going in bathing suits and sandy feet but the room was big and clean. The little kitchenette looks recently redone with a small stove and appliances. The beds are nice and comfortable, and the balcony is of course amazing! The gulf-view side rooms all look right over Shepard's, so there was live music and partying going on until the early hours of the morning (2am I think. ) You can definitely hear it with the balcony doors closed but it wasn't obnoxious and I had no trouble sleeping. A few years ago I stayed on a top floor in another hotel in Melbourne Beach next to a bar and the walls were literally shaking from the bass until 2am — that was definitely not the situation here. Being close to Shepard's also means in a one minute walk you can check them out, they have restaurants and watersports rentals. There's also a great strip of beach stores, a market, and mini golf right across the street.

Hotel nothing to say well, but we got a waitress named Elena who ate our food did not do the wrong room chores.

This was a photo from our balcony with the partial gulf view room. It was worth the extra money to have this view! Gorgeous sunsets from our room! We loved this hotel. No, not as fancy as some others, but very clean, nice decor, the staff was very friendly & accommodating, the pool and hot tub were great, and the private beach was awesome! So many restaurants and beach bars with live music right on this block. The Island Market directly across the street has all you need to cook in the room if you want. Each room has a sink, two burner stove, mini fridge and microwave. Miniature golf across the street and great rental place next door. We absolutely loved this location and will stay here at the Gulfview Hotel every time we come back!

Good bang for the buck, Gulfview is one of the oldest hotel on the beach and as such shows her age but don't let that deter you. For the price you get a clean descent room in a great location and right on the water. Our "view" from our balcony was a parking garage but it is too easy to walk down to the pool or beach to watch the fantastic sunsets. No dining on site but you are just a stone's throw from many restaurants and a well stocked grocery store is across the street. And free parking.

Best deal on the beach. Large comfortable rooms with a small private beach. Price is a fraction of surrounding hotels with the same basic amenities. There is also a kayak/windsurfing rental next door. Have all the expected salt water rentals. Highly recommend as a nice place on a budget.

Very pleasant and clean. Grocery store across the street and close to the pier, a nice stroll at sunset. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. Next door to Shepherds and when we closed our sliding doors we didn't hear any of the noise from next door.

My 20 min drive to get away on my days off. Little nook close to everything. View of the sunset big picture windows. Did I mention walk out to the beach. Refreshing~

Great clean place Phyllis at front desk excellent. Clean Ocean view room with balcony the best. Free hot fresh coffee in lobby. Walking distance to so many restaurants and stores. Can't beat the price. Highly recommend this Hotel. Beach right downstairs. Great view of sunsets.

Was in wonderful Florida for 7 wonderful days and the hotel was by far my least favorite spot to be. The people were friendly but we had to ask to get our room cleaned on the 3rd day. Never once did they come to clean before that. Used the laundry room and only one dryer was working. The pool was closed the majority of the time we were here. And the toilet never flushed. Even with just urine, nothing would go down. I check out tomorrow and I won't be sad to leave this hotel.

Very nice view to sheppard and water view. Need to be update but the front desk told me that they will in a couple months. They also need to work with the wi fi signal but other than that we had a good time. For the price it worth it. We will stay again.

I stayed here over the weekend an This place is definitely NOT worth the money… It had a very musty smell in the room. Not updated at all. The halls smelled very Moldy… Dont waste your money. The view off the balcony was a Parking garage, definitely wasn't ocean view at all like the guy at front desk said. I went to front desk to complain an they said there was no other rooms available. The stove looked like It was from the 1930's, with rust on it an in It. The Bed was Not comfortable at all, Only had 6 TV stations, totally ridiculous. It was the worst $200. I spent on a hotel room. Very disappointed!

Honestly can't say enough good things about this place. Booking through check out was easy. The price was good. We had a beautiful gulf view hotel. It's right next to Shepard s' bar which is a blast. Will definitely stay here again. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed.

Has the right rating of a 2 star hotel. Stuff is friendly. Room is clean other than a odd smell I guess all the rooms have. Bathroom was nice and clean. Pool area is good and is right on rhe beach. Good place to stay if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room other than to sleep and shower.

This place gets the job done! The price compared to its neighbors is worth it. You are on the beach with restaurants, stores and nightlife very close by. I heard they will not be bought out and have always kept the prices the same.

The hotel price was nice when compared to the surrounding areas rates. It's about 10 minutes walking to the beach and has a mini Golf Course across the street and a awesome Buffet almost next door.

Don't know why people are giving over 2 stars for this place. Just stayed there last night and it was just a bad experience. Rust, cracks, musty smelling rooms, they used so much cleaner in the hallways my eyes were burning, I guess it was to cover the mildew smell. We were told we had an ocean front on the phone then after driving 4 hours to get there we ended up staring at a parking garage instead of the ocean. A stove that looks like it was pulled from a scrap pile that is built into the mini fridge (new to me), we were scared to use it because it looked like a fire hazard, which would have been bad since the fire extinguisher in the closet had not been inspected since September of 2016. Toilet paper holders being held together by duct tape. Leaky air conditioner. The shower was great though, nice and hot with good pressure. All I can say if you're just visiting Clearwater and just want a bed for $159.00 a night go for it. Just don't expect much.

Was not impressed! Hallway had a funky smell! Elevator inspection expired on 08/16, almost a year overdue! Hair dryer didn't work. No one came to clean our room! I went downstairs and was told cleaning staff left at 3:00pm. The pool is very small about the size of a backyard pool. Right next door is the Shephard's Hotel that has an outdoor band that plays till 3:00 am. Was disappointed that there was no restaurant or bar but that was my fault for not checking.

It was great but our room kinda smelled bad and the door to the bathroom had a hole in it. But besides that it was a great experience. The beach was awesome btw.

Kids in the hot tub… not cool for adults trying to relax. I come here often, thats gonna stop! Gulfview doesn't seeem to get it. Watched "non guests" (drunk kids) come in off the streets to use pool and tub. One guy even pulled his dong out and peed in the hot tub (toilet water). Will be looking for another place to stay. Thumbs down!

Would stay here again lowest prices in area! pool was kind of small but worked had a decent hot tub. My room was clean and enjoyed the nightly festivities down at the pier.

We booked here last year for Spring Break. Our budget was tight and it was the least expensive place we could find on the beach. We do a lot of tent camping as a family, so we're not Princesses about accommodations. We figured we could handle something old. We get there Saturday AM… You know, the same day everyone pretty much checks in or checks out, right? I felt bad for the proprietors as a new hotel was going up next door… as in within 8 feet… and figured the commotion was why they had to lower rates. We check in and get our room key. Big mistake! Should have asked to see the room first. They gave us a room on the first level, and it was all the way in the front (beach side) of the hotel. This room was facing the Gulf, sure, but there was no view of it because we were on the pool deck. No, actually we were slightly below the pool deck in elevation. I specifically remember walking into that room and being hit with the smell of DANK. It clearly sees water intrusion… And probably often. To the right was our panoramic window… To the pool deck, with sunbathers hairy backs LEANING UP AGAINST OUR WINDOW. Ugh. I closed the curtains. Immediately ahead was the "balcony" sliding door which opened to the construction site next door WITHIN WINGSPAN of a college athlete, you could TOUCH THE BUILDING NEXT DOOR. I didn't let my kids touch anything. We went to the front desk and declined the room.

Horrible management! We were booked through Expedia, on the site and on this site it says free parking, we spent the first 4 days of our vacation looking for parking for our second car. You get one parking space per room, manager was very rude. Found bugs in our room after the orkin man was there. Water never got hot in our room. Housekeeping was amazing and the other ladies at the desk also were amazing. We found out you can park at the Hyatt down the street for 30.00 a day but at midnight that resets, every other parking spot was a meter and it's 30min metered with a 5 hour limit. So beware if you go here and have more than 1 car. Hotel was nice, clean and in the middle of everything! The bar next door was also amazing.

Hotel staff was REALLY nice. And it was incredible to be so close to the beach. 5 minute walk at most. But hotel was very cheap looking. Small rooms. Water did not get hot. Rooms were very old looking. Compared to the hotel right across the street this one looked rather disappointing.

This place was amazing. But do not get room 600 the restaurant events are on this room and if you plan on sleeping between the hours of 9 a. M. And 11 p. M. Do not sleep in this room. They should offer this room at discounted prices only and warn people about the sound. They did apologize. Staff is wonderful, the beach water is calm and great for kids because it does not face the sea.

Decent prices, across from the beach. Had a smooth check in and checkout experience, plenty of parking for hotel guests ($15 for parking if you make a third party booking) Clean rooms with plenty of towels and additional beach towels as well. Was a pleasant experience overall — staff was friendly, good free Wi-Fi as well. Small pool but a clean one, good restaurants in the area, a plus is they she a microwave, refrigerator and cutlery too!

The location was very good with many activities all strong throughout the area. The personal hotel beach was well-maintained with very comfortable loungers. And to my surprise unlike other hotels I have stayed in the staff was very helpful kind and courteous.

Amazing stay! Would definitely stay again. The room we stayed in was adorable and VERY CLEAN. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The pillows are super fluffy and everything in the room was up to date. My favorite part was that the gorgeous beach was only across the street. Just a 5 minute walk. Plus were able to walk to some amazing restaurants near by. Pool is heated and clean. Such a lovely experience, all for 99$! I have no complaints.

Nice place! I think all of the rooms are set up like apartment/suite and built in 2011. When you enter unit, you enter into living room (has pull out sofa) with with a full kitchen (granite and stainless steel). Walk down hallway and pass extralarge bath to bedroom with either 2 queen or 1 king bed. Balcony is off of bedroom. Ours over looked tropical pool area. Pool has waterfall thru out day and is off at night. Can be a little loud. Very colorful tropic setting in courtyard. Quite reasonably priced… plus we saved money by preparing some of our own meals. Great location and they offer free cab rides (tipping only) on the island. They are across street from water but have a sister property just across the street with tiki bar and beach. This place is quiet, which we like when we want to sleep and just chill. Steps away from the craziness, which we like as well! We will go there again when we make it back to Clearwater. I hope this was helpful :)

Low price for such an amazing stay. There is so much to do in the area and the suites are incredible! Very big and the pool here is amazing!

The worst hotel experience ever. 1. First all I was told that it was a room with a view. It was not, then I went to go into my room and the couch was in the hallway and there was dirt or coffee grounds all of the floor. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, so called down and they got us a different room. Mean while the kids and I had to carry all our stuff up and down 3 flights of stairs. Not fun! 2. The pool music is loud at night at plays till almost 10pm. Not good if you have kids. 3. I called the hotel to verify that I could charge the room on my boyfriends credit card. The manager told me that it would be okay, and the money would be refunded on my card. It was never refunded. Called the hotel and was told he was calling the cops on me. I still don't have my money.

Great location. The hotel room has a bed, a futon, dishes, refrigerator, microwave, and it's clean. It is has been a great stay so far. Would stay again and recommend to a friend.

Our room was clean and the rate was reasonable for a beach view. I do wish the balcony was directly facing the Gulf instead of a side view partially blocked by a palm, but we had a spectacular view from the bedroom window. Upon checking in, we didn't find the desk clerk particularly friendly or helpful either in greeting us or informing us about the area and the internet was spotty at best. There are no umbrellas for rent and the small pool area has no real shade, except for a couple of straw umbrella tables. The "beach" is nothing more than a spit of land with a rock pile at the end. What we did love about the place was the convenient location. We could walk to restaurants, the main Clearwater Beach, souvenir stores and food stores. Parking was not an issue, even on the night we went out to Tropicana Field, although the lot was small and in season, I imagine it could get full. We would stay here again because we didn't spend much time in the room, it was clean and comfortable, and we could access many of the best things in Clearwater Beach by foot. If you are on a budget and want a view, consider Gulfview Hotel. Make sure to get a room with a view as a new Hampton is being built very close on the other side of the hotel, and some travelers complained all they could see was the construction.

I stayed here for my honeymoon. My husband and I loved it. It's far enough away that it's not super busy/crowded but close enough to places that we could walk everywhere we wanted. We spent a lot of our time in the pool! It was one of our favorite parts of the trip. It was very clean and the staff was friendly.

We had the 2 bedroom suite. It was awesome. We had no complaints. Full kitchen, 2 bathrooms. A private balcony. The parking was covered. The rooms were clean. Free water and pool towels. Everything was great. Only problem we had was at check in. They do not accept cash. They have access to a private small beach area across the road.

I loved it, old hotel but facing the sea, own beach and stuck to one of the best hotels in the area with music and show where we can enjoy free.

My wife and I have probably stayed at Gulf view about 15 to 20 times, we even stayed there when it was the econolodge. We have been there enough times to know that the" partial view" is the only way to go. This past memorial weekend will be our last. I called a week before to book a room. I had ask for a partial view because it over looks shephards beach resort, and it has a very good view of the ocean. They told us the rate are as followed 229 for city view, 259 partial and 299 for full view. I requested partial as usuall and wrote down the confirmation number. When we arrived on Saturday we went to check in and he charged me 299 for both each of the nights and the receipt said "full view". I told the clerk that I had booked the partial. He said "we don't have anymore" and enjoy the free up grade. I told him I didn't want the full view because it sucks and when I called last week the full view was 299 so we aren't even a getting a free upgrade we are still paying full price. So he discounted the full room to the price of a partial view. Which I was still annoyed with because we were just there a couple months ago and a new hotel is being built. So the left side of gulf view doesn't have a view anymore because the hotel is now literally 8 feet away.

First of all — We stayed 2 nights and there was NO Free Breakfast, there is a kitchenette with no silverware, pots or drinking glasses. The man on duty the day we checked in was snappy and rude to us and the maids hadn't brought more towels or cleaned the room by 4pm (our 2nd day) The view is blocked on one side of this motel, with construction of a new motel… room was surely not worth what we paid! Very disappointed! I forgot, the private beach is crowded out by a Jet ski business next door. The only thing I enjoyed was the sunset!

The only reason I gave them full marks is that a lot of people over exaggerating. The Hotel is very basic. YES indeed the carpet from the entrance of the pool smells like wet dog. Management should consider changing the carpet and putting down some lino or tiles that wouldn't suck up the water. Hotel is quite noisy at night if you choose the room up in front and Shepherds Bar next door have live entertainment daily at night. Management OK no isues. Rooms are cleaned and we'll look after. For the price we have paid the hotel was perfect — right on the lovely beach. If anyone decides to stay at the Gulview should consider all the pros not like a Hilton down the road that get you on the cheap price for a room and all the extras at check in (resort fee, car park fee, private beach fee etc…) here at Gulview price you see price you pay. It's that simple. For is the Hotel was good and we really enjoyed.

We paid 115/night get a beach ocean Window view room. Double beds are big and comfortable. They offer a small stove for some customers who need to use it. Outdoor Including massage pool, swim pool, small sand area for kids have fun. The room's key is fine, the room smell is fresh, front desk service is friendly. The bar next to me, I like music, I don't mind to enjoy little later at night. Nothing is complain. Like it.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our door to the room has been kicked in multiple times and wouldn't close right. We had to check it twice before leaving the room. The entire hotel smelled like my dog. No dogs allowed. Construction next door so so much for an ocean view. We were able to change rooms to a parking lot view. A drunk man was being confronted by security. I was afraid of the elevator too which was very outdated. Pool and hot tub was nice. The sand on the"beach" seemed to be dumped on concrete. Once we checked in and got to our room we asked if we could cancel and we would've lost our payment. Very unhappy.

Not horrible not perfect either, if you looking for a quiet getaway dont go there, band next door pretty laud they play every night till midnight or 1am, so you won't be able to sleep till then, if you decide to relax by the pool or hot tub, or little beach by the hotel during the day you won't be able too becouse on the other side of hotel they started building another hotel, so constructions. They get really laud whole day long, and when they done, the band start playing, lol, well you get what you pay for, its pretty cheap, around $110 per night, you can get pretty decent view of the water as well.

This is a horrible place! Never try to book this "hotel"! Ever! Is dirty and smell so bad! With bad customer service, and the guy at the front desk is very rude! Stayed at this hotel for 3 days with my husband and we couldn't sleep at all. There is a very loud music until 2:30 am that comes from the hotel next door. We will never come back and we will make sure we tell everyone to never book this hotel. Honestly, this was our worst experience ever!

Dirty and the staff is a jerk.

Night staff guy was a JERK! giving us crap over keys questioned the crap out of us to get key reprogammed after your stupid maintenance crew walked in to work on my fridge 3 times without knocking! And I work at night and sleep during day so thanks for making me slow the next day at work. I hate thus roach coach bugs in the drawer. Look in drawers that crystal poison in the corners not good!

We arrived late at night after a 16 hour drive. Lobby was not impressive at all but we decided to check out the room anyway. Got to the room after riding on the very tiny elevator. Didn't even want to take our shoes off. Needless to say we just left and cancelled the reservations online once out to the car.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 days totaling a bill of 910$, I paid day by day, the last day I stayed I was in my room for a hour after paying and had a family emergency and had to left the guy at the front desk told me I could get a 50% refund and that I would receive a email or a phone call in how I could collect this refund. I never got this email/ phone call so I called the front desk to encounter a very rude and unhelpful person that had no quality of customer service and said I would not receive a refund and didn't see where I had any compliant in not receiving it. I even said I would take a small discount on a room in the future and she yelled at me in return. I asked for my recites to be emailed to me and it says on the email that if I cancel my stay before 4pm like I did I would receive a refund with a cancellation penalty, which is 50% of what I paid. I wouldn't stay here ever again, theirs many other hotels for the same price that are great with cleaner and larger rooms, and have people that don't get off on being extremely rude.

Don't stay at this place unless you don't mind loud music blaring through your broken patio door till 3 am. Went down to management to complain and asked for a different room, to which he refused to accommodate at first. Before booking, I was not made aware that Shepards, the beach resort next door would be playing extremely loud and obnoxious music all night. The patio door would not close right, making it even louder. So my boyfriend had to rearrange all the furniture in the room putting the bed next to the a. C. Unit to try and block the sound. When he couldn't take it anymore, he went down to complain and low and behold, they say we can move rooms. At this point, it's like 2 in the morning, so we declined because we also would have had to move 5 other peoples belongings. Went to talk to manager Crystal in the morning to tell her of my experience and she just looked at me like I was nuts and refused to take anything off the bill for the huge inconvenience. On our way out, we heard another couple complaining that the maid had entered their room a half hour before check out and I overheard Crystal saying "So what's wrong with that? " Very unprofessional and should have been told upfront that there was a noisy outdoor nightclub next door.
