Review of Devon Shores 2*

BEWARE! Do not stay here! The facility and staff is very Deceiving. We travel a lot and this is by far the worst experience we have ever had. The staff and owner put you off and tell you to keep calling back when trying to change a reservation until they have you within the window of being unable to modify and then tell you you can’t without still paying for nights you can’t even stay! They lead you on and are useless until they think they have you locked in. Upon checking in the older women w an accent was so awful. Magda I believe was her name or something of their nature. She was yelling at us and being intrusive of our personal space when we questioned the charges we were paying for to stay there when it was promised to have been worked out. She came out from behind the reception desk and was inches from my face raising her voice and being awful. That’s the way we started our vacation. My husband angry and me in tears in complete disbelief that we were being treated this was where we were paying patrons! Upon checking into our room. It was unreal how deceiving the photos were of the facility. Room 10 was dirty and had terrible ac. The flooring was disgusting. The gentleman and his wife that were renting a room next to us and similar complaints and said they frequent Clearwater and will never stay there again. We agreed. We couldn’t even shower our last day their because the water temperature wouldn’t regulate and it was scalding hot, felt like it was burning our skin! to freezing cold within seconds! This was me and my husbands anniversary gift to each other for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was unbelievable how awful this place was. Thankfully I was in really amazing company with my hubby and we made the best of it. I do not recommend ever staying here. I thought it looked like a cute little retro hotel close to the beach… but boy was I wrong… and I just can’t get past the unprofessional, disrespectful way we were treated by the staff and owner.
