Great location, nice people, very accommodating and clean.

We stayed at this hotel on 30th of December in room. # 111. The check-in was friendly and we were upgraded to a gulf-front room (which we appreciated). It was downhill from there. I realize the motel was purchased recently and I understand that expense. Yet many of the problems here could be remedied by simple attention to detail. The place was filthy inside and out. The overhead fluorescent light fixture in the kitchen was beyond filthy and one tube was out. The fan blades were loaded with accumulated dirt. One of the blinds was missing a substantial piece. Glad there were no peeping Toms that night The switch plate in the bathroom was cracked. How much would it cost to replace these two items? Many of the ceiling tiles were water-stained. The floor was filthy and had white paint drops on it. It would have taken 2 seconds and a razor blade to eliminate those paint drops. The wall had scrapes on it and the bottom molding was very marked. It looked like a roller rink. One can of white paint would have solved that problem. The grounds were not much better. I saw cigarette butts in the garden beds. There were many weeds surrounding the pool. The place had a nauseating overpowering scent of Fabuloso detergent. That may give the false impression that the place is clean, but it isn't. I could even smell the detergent out in the parking lot. I am a realist and had no expectation that I was staying at the Ritz-Carlton.

My husband an I love to stay at this Hotel. The front desk guys are so very friendly an very nice. The housekeepers are also very friendly. Rooms are clean. Quiet place so you are able to rest.

We have found our new spot🥰🥰 The motel is across from the water with a view of the ocean that is to die for. The room was perfect and even had a private balcony. We saw dolphins swimming and people catching sharks. The only negative I have are the pool lounge chairs. The bottoms were all ripped and you couldn't sit on them to get sun.

This weekend at the Beach Front Motel was a Blast. We enjoyed all the accommodations This place had too offer along with Great Fishing and kayaking. The Locals were friendly. I would recommend this place to Any body and would give it a 5 star rating.

It says, "you have 15 minutes from the time of check in to turn the room down" otherwise, you are stuck for the charges. At check in, your credit card will be charged for your whole stay immediately, not at check out. I give a shout out to the clerk, Michael. A very kind young man.

I had a great stay here. I had a gulf view room on the 2nd floor. Check in was quick and easy, with friendly staff. AC was working well, mattress comfortable. Good TV, balcony. It's old Florida so elitists need to look elsewhere or go to Palm Beach and book a room at The Breakers. Walking distance to the 2nd street and to the dock where the stuff happens. My room was not cleaned daily, not sure of a oversight or normal for this place. Pool looked clean, but I didn't partake. There's lots of fishermen (and women) at this corner and they park their trucks right in front of the rooms so this would be annoying for 1st floor oceanfront guests. I will repeat for sure.

We just stayed a couple of days in Cedar Keys at the Beach Front Motel. We had a greatt time the rooms were very clean, bright, cheerful with alot of room. We rented two rooms both were great. But the staff we're great when we arrived Rita checked us in made sure we liked our rooms. Next day they made sure we had everything and Rita even checked before she left. Great place to stay, we're going back in a couple of months and plan on renting same rooms… Thanks for a great stay, we all had a good time.

We stayed on June 8th and 9th 2018. We realize this is an older motel and never expected perfection. We arrived in Cedar Key earlier in the day and tried to check in but the door is locked until 3pm sharp. As soon as we walked into the room, we noticed that the blinds were broken leaving larger gaps right at bed level. The windows face the street. Later we tried to use the microwave which didn’t work. The TV reception is bad and the internet is worse. The worst thing was the moldy/musty smell. At first we attributed it to the air conditioning not being on, but that didn’t help. Both my husband and I started having breathing problems and are still recovering from the respiratory issues it caused. Tailgate parties outside of your windows on the right of way are a normal occurrence that will not address, they’ll tell you to call the police yourself. We tried to personally resolve these issue the staff before writing this review, unfortunately that didn’t work out well. I really didn't expect an email reply to my personal phone call. I called you personally to bring issues to your attention that you might not have been aware of instead of just writing a negative review. I did that out of respect for your establishment because we had stayed there many times and always planned to return. I'm really sorry that that won't be happening.

Absolutely loved our room! My only suggestion would be new beds. Ours was kinda hard. But the best view on the island!

Fun place to visit. Ammentit's very scarce. Location and nature, plus things to do out weighs need for hotel.

This place is so old Florida. Comfortable room, great balcony views, easy walk to places to eat.

Great sunset views from beachfront rooms. A comfortable walk to the main business district of tiny Cedar Key, but it's location makes it a quiet choice. No breakfast but coffee makers in the room.

Nice place to stay. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Ceiling tiles looked odd. Bathroom was decent. Exhaust fan needed cleaning. Everything has been updated. Time of year might make a difference in scenery. Fog rolled in through out the day.

We enjoyed our stay here at this little motel on the water. It is older but so it all of Cedar Key. We had the sunset room with the king bed and the view was wonderful.

First off, NOT BEACHFRONT! Waterfront with a rocky shoreline, but NO BEACH! After checking in and changing, then walking down to the water and finding green, stinky water and no beach. We asked about the beach in the office and the clerk pointed south, and said, "It's about a five-minute walk down that way. " Supposed to be a fridge and microwave in the room. There was no microwave. Also no outlets in the bathroom! We had reserved three days there. We checked out and asked for a refund. They would not refund, AND charged my credit card for the next two nights as well! STEER CLEAR OF THIS DUMP!

Did not actually stay at the hotel. It looks nice enough from the outside, you would get an amazing view of the sunset if you have a West facing room, if not you can get a good bit of sunrise and sunset somewhere on the island. It is probably within a 5-10 minute walk to all the restaurants and the pier, the actual beach to swim at is on the other side of the island but it is also within walking distance.

The rooms are old yet new cheap carpet. The appliances have rust, the drain in the tub was full of nasty hair had to use the plunger. The bed is like sleeping on the floor. It is dated and not worth a fraction of the money. The only saving Grace is the location, but it's still not worth staying here.

This place is great. I been here a couple of times. On the last time we had a late check in and called ahead with no problems. They said the room would be ready. Once we had been there for about an hour we had a small problem with the room. We called them and they were very quick to check it out and get us into another room. I will stay here everytime I am in Cedar Key. A great place to watch the sunset over the ocean.

I was told my room would be left unlocked. When I got into the room a receipt was on the night stand. Earlier in the day, my credit card had been charged $501.00 for the 5 day stay. When I read the fine print, I found that I could not get a refund if I wanted one. I had no choice but to stay or else walk away from $501.00. Needless to say this soured my stay at this motel. I will give a shout out to the clerk, Michael. A very kind young man.

Very pleasant stay. Two nights in a very comfy bed. Would suggest a cloth bath mat instead of paper bath mat and fresher smelling towels.

Nice location but sketchy motel. Customer service was awful, no fresh towels and no toilet paper. Apparently they are saving their money for more important things then their guests toilet paper. There is no beach so I don't get the whole "Beach Front Motel. " You'd be better off just not visiting this place because it's about a mile wide by a mile long and there are about 3 places to eat. Definitely only good if you have a boat. Wi-Fi signal is awful too so don't count on getting some work done while you're there if you need to.

Location was great. Food was great. Pool was great. The room was good. Wish pool was open later it closes at 9pm an don't open till 10am. The room we stayed in faced parking lot the lights from outside made our room not dark inside the room needs curtains blinds did not block light. Our a/c stayed off more than on. The room was warm. The lady at front desk did let us use a fan. Every time we went to get ice there was none. Parking was a little crazy more cars than parking spaces. Over all our stay was nice. We would an will be coming back. Oh the room needs a table an some chairs to sit on so can eat your dinner ect…

Nice water front location within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Had the great pleasure of experiencing a beautiful Sunrise and Sunset from my room in November. Will be back again soon.

Our room was easily broken into from the second floor hallway while we were on dock street. The hotel didn't provide any nighttime security and clearly didn't properly secure the room, which is their heightened legally obligated duty. The hotel offered us a full refund, but outwardly blamed us for their inadequacy. We found other accommodations for the night because we reasonably didn't feel safe staying there. In the morning the hotel refused to honor the refund, claiming that they needed to confirm the burglary, even after WATCHING the individual confess to the crime to the officer and be taken away in handcuffs. For a business so outwardly fearful of litigation and protecting themselves from liability, you would think they'd actually try to prevent foreseeable crimes.

I love Cedar Key but if you want it to be a little quite this is not the place. The land sitting around the building is not privately owned so people can park their cars there all night and party and fish. Overall the place was nice and clean and reasonably priced. Oh and the view is the best around!

We loved our stay at Beach Front Motel! We plan making this motel and little town our yearly vacation spot! The room was clean and spacious! We saw dolphin everyday from our room windows… it was pretty amazing! We would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Rooms we're clean and the view was nice, although the overall atmosphere was a bit rundown and multicolored.

It was clean, friendly staff, AC worked great and so did the hair dryer. We were not to crazy about the soap dispensers and the institutional soaps.

Great service, excellent location that gives great views, and clean too! Been coming for years now. They have a great pool thay overlooks the Gulf.

We stayed in room 104, which (for some unknown reason) is the only ground floor room with a South facing patio. We enjoyed this because it makes it rather private and provides shade from the scorching afternoon sun. The major downside to this room is that you have to go up and back down the stairway in order to access the room. Just a slight inconveince for us, but I can see it being an issue for those with limited mobility. The best thing about this motel, other than the affordable rates, is the pool. Located in the southwest corner, with a deep end over 8', it is a dream. Immaculately clean & my favorite place on earth at the moment. Please note that the motel is an older, mom & pop type joint. As we enjoyed the patio my husband and I started in on our perennial conversation of how we would love to own & run a place like this someday. The contradiction is always that we dream up all these wonderful upgrades, but than people like us couldn't afford to stay or at least not stay as long. So I'll take it as it is. However, if you are looking for something fancy, don't stay here expecting a steal then complain that it's not the Ritz. The mattresses are firm as concrete, the shower is luke-warm with occasional bursts of ice cold, the walls are thin, and the linens rough. But it's clean and has some of the best real estate on the island.

Be sure to check out Beach Front Motel. Everything was exactly as stated and our stay there was very good. The staff, especially Raoul, are very helpful and we're looking forward to another visit. Big thumbs up.

I love this place! I can not wait to come back. The staff has been amazing. The rooms are clean and are just flipping adorable. Nice pool, amazing view, pet friendly and reasonably priced. And walking distance from everything… Yet far enough to not see a ton of traffic. We will be coming back and staying at least a week.
