The room was clean and inviting, a lot of personal touches made it especially nice! Rob, Annie, and son Robbie made us feel like family. With their help, we found a lot of things to do in the area. They checked on us to make sure we were comfortable, you don't find that in our area! I would recommend staying here. We will be back for sure!

You will not find nicer people than Rob and Annie. Don’t waste your money at big hotel chains. These people are amazing. The rooms are spotless. When we arrived for our anniversary trip, my wife and I found 2 balloons, an anniversary card and candies on the table! God Bless this family!

Our stay was fine. The "lodge" is more like a traditional motel with some lodge-like decorations. They gave us the wrong key at check in, and we woke some poor guy up by letting ourselves into his already occupied room. It was after hours, and it took several minutes for anyone to answer three phone since the lobby was closed. The place was clean, had everything we needed, and didn't stink. The hot tubs and large firepit were nice.

Cozy atmosphere, the friendliest owners who were very accommodating for our late night arrival and the perfect location for all our activities we had planned. Pet friendly with a great rate! We will definitely be staying here again. Oh! and there is a breakfast included you just have to go inside the office.

The staff was top notch. Nicest people we could have come across. The area is beautiful and the rooms were clean. Continental breakfast was nice.

Great “mom & pop” lodge. The staff was friendly & accommodating. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds. An added bonus was Rachel’s breakfast trailer across the road.

We were on the last leg of a 9 day trip across the country and back. Just finished white water and wanted to drive as far as I could get on the road toward home. Driving down the curvy mountains late at night, I felt like I was annoying people driving behind me (even though I was going the speed limit) and just wanted to find a place to lay my head. I was weary of just finding a place on the road after the night before where the air didn't work and the atmosphere eerily made me think I was going to be turned in to people chili. So across the street was one of those "cookie cutter box hotels (big name I won't mention). I called Wolf Creek Ski Lodge to see if they had vacancies and I called the other place, too. Wolf Creek was cheaper. They win. The cookie cutter place is mediocre and I knew I'd be able to get a good night's rest there if nothing else and be prepared for the long haul the next day. I would take my chances and save a few bucks for gas for the way home. Checked in and WOW! These beds, though! I could just feel myself settling in as soon as I walked across the threshold. The blankets, sheets, pillows and mattresses are 5 star quality. The room was extremely clean and they even came equipped with a fan. My boys were thrilled to pieces with that one because they don't really sleep well without one. Bonus! TV wasn't working when we first got there. Owner's son came immediately after I called and he swapped out the cable box and it worked. Very pleased and thank you!

We stayed here last week. Cleanest place we stayed at on our vacation. Owners were very nice and helpful. Looked like they did not have much for breakfast, but it turned out that they had a freezer full of choices. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful place to ski and more powder snow than anywhere in Colorado the best small town atmosphere in pogosa springs Colorado it’s a must do for all skiers!

It is an amazing place in the state of Colorado, its landscapes are beautiful, I recommend it, worth visiting!

About a month ago, we had 10 of us staying at Wolf Creek Ski Lodge. It is an excellent place with parking right outside the rooms or just up an outside stairway to the 2nd floor rooms. The rooms were clean and well kept and some have been renovated recently. Unfortunately one in our party had a family emergency and had to fly back to MN as quickly as possible. The owner, Bob, went above and beyond to help us out and make sure we got him out as quickly as possible. Thank you Bob.

If you are anywhere in near this lodge STOP! Truly one of the cleanest, nicest places we have stayed! Positively immaculate! Beautiful view and peaceful! The owners are so helpful and accommodating! I never give reviews but we will be staying here again! Love Wolf Creek Lodge❤️

Fantastic accommodations. The room we stayed in was clean, and well stocked. Coffee maker, little kitchenette, even provided dish soap! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I can't wait to return with the whole family. Management is more than helpful, I can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I came down for 4 days to take an avalanche safety course, and Bob and Sherry made my stay as pleasant as possible. To start, they made my stay more affordable (although their regular rate is still a great deal). They were extremely friendly. On my way down I called to let them know I was going to be coming in late, and they said it was no problem, they would leave everything I needed in a envelope for when I arrived. They seem to be very connected to the local community (as in knowing the locals and where the best restaurants etc are), and can tell you all of the good places to check out on Wolf Creek pass. As for the lodge itself, it is very clean and modern. It was definitely worth it to stay here, I can say with confidence that I will be checking in here on my next trip down.

Very comfortable motel, on the north side of Wolf Creek pass. We used a room with a kitchenette. The outdoor hot tub was nice and the view is amazing. When we arrived, there were several deer in the parking lot to greet us. Friendly owners. The town of South Fork is small, but has the basics.

We rode in around 10:00 pm and the owner (Bob) was the nicest person I've ever met. He even gave a discount. Great place to stay!

The overall experience was quite nice. My main gripe was the lack of use able Internet.

Unlike the previous reviewer, I LOVE this place. I have been staying here a couple of nights for the last 4 years. I looked at reviews and the MAP before booking 4 years ago. The drive up to the ski area is a wonderful experience, very beautiful. The owners of this motel have been here for 5-6 years having bought is from the previous owner, the name has not been changed to con anyone. Rooms are very clean and warm in the winter. Owners offer free cereal and coffee in the morning and are VERY attentive. I highly recommend Wolf Creek Ski Lodge (no-ranch). Lol.

STAY AWAY… This place should be called SOUTH FORK SKI LODGE, and if you stay here you will drive an extra 20 miles a day between your days on the slopes at Wolf Creek. This motel is NOT the original Wolf Creek Ski Lodge. It's a recent addition to lodging options in South Fork (almost 20 miles from Wolf Creek Ski Area) and has been deceptively named to get you to stop before the real ski lodge that's nicer and 10 miles closer to the Wolf Creek Ski Area. My girlfriend and I arrived at this place confused and feeling lost because our phones weren't getting service and — — despite having a nearly identical name — — it was not the place where we made our reservation. If you arrive at a sign on the right side of 160 that says "Wolf Creek Ski Lodge, " keep driving another 10 miles toward the Wolf Creek Ski Area until you see another sign on the left side of 160 that reads, "Wolf Creek Ranch Ski Lodge. " If you can get a room there, stay at the ski lodge with "RANCH" in its name instead of this imposter that's actually in South Fork. I don't know how the owners of this place in South Fork are in business. They're creating brand dissonance with a misleading name and false advertising that says they are closest. Simply put, they are wasting the time of people trying to find lodging closest to the ski area, if not getting people lost entirely. Use this place as a waypoint.

This was a great place to stay the night while out on the motorcycle very friendly and helpful.

This place is great! We rolled in late on our motorcycles and they helped carry in some gear so we could still make it to dinner (Ramon's down the way had a tasty green chili burrito! ). The room is clean, has free Wi-Fi and is very quiet even though you are close to 160. The next morning they had placed towels on the bikes to dry seats and clean windshields. Customer service still exists in Southfork! If you are passing through stop and support the independent instead of the chains, you'll be glad you did!

Owned by a very friendly couple that believe in customer service. It is an older motel but the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The hot tub was really nice after a day of motorcycle riding. I will stay there again on my next trip through.

Give these great folks your business! If you are looking for a very clean affordable lodge that's not super fancy and gives great value this is the place! it's very well maintained and the owners are very sweet and hospitable.

Awesome Place to take the family. Great Folks that run the place. Beds are so comfortable. We not only booked our valentine days trip here but we decided to bring the kids back for spring break. Its amazing how quiet the town is and how friendly everyone is. The grocery store down the way has everything. Something I found out that's cool is South Fork side of the Wolf Creek Ski Area is always open. They actually close the Pagosa Springs side if a huge storm comes thru. Scored by booking the right side. We also got a better deal by calling direct.

I recently stayed at WCSL for three nights while skiing at Wolf Creek. The rooms are nicely set up, soft sheets, nice comforter, good pillows, clean and roomy. Honestly, this place was the best motel I've stayed at in over 20 years. My dog was with me and we were able to take hikes right out of the backyard into the national forest. I also bought discounted lift tickets. Bob and Sherry are as nice and accommodating as they could be. It's all right here. I'll be back.

We had stayed there 7 years ago and we were not impressed. And more recently, we had stayed at other places that were much more expensive that were even more disappointing. So when we saw that Wolf Creek was under new ownership we were hopeful. And they did not disappoint us! The rooms were clean, nice, roomy, and the price was right. The new owners are modernizing and fixing the place up. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks, Dave.

The place looks welcoming. Free outside hot tubs are a nice add-on. The scenery is really nice, but what makes this place awesome are the owners. They offer epic service and truly understand the concept of hospitality. We will definitely come back here. Update may 2013: we came back with my parents and it was excellent. We will absolutely come back here.

The rooms are clean with nice beds and pillows but the owners make the experience. We rode our motorcycles into town and stopped in. What a great surprise. The owners were not only nice but accommodating like a five star hotel. We chatted with them, heard the story of how they bought the place and fixed it up and they even drove us into town to pick up a pizza since we were on motorcycles. Small town charm with big city service. What a great combination.
