You. Will. Not. Be. Sorry. The scenery is peaceful and breathtaking. The spacious porch and balcony’s are wonderful to step outside after you’ve already come in for the evening. I could go on and on. The hosts are friendly and down to earth. Wait until you see where breakfast is served. The main cabin is outstanding!

It was so nice and off the beaten path from town. The owner was very warm and cooked a fresh breakfast every morning. Perfect place to get away and very dog friendly!

The Elktrace land is beautiful, in the winter. The place is warm, friendly and very welcoming. The food is good, very filling. We would like to come back in the summer.

Terrible experience, told to take masks off, rooms in dark basement, no locks on doors, one restroom for everyone there, can’t open doors because of chipmunks, dog poops on the floor,, to many cats and dogs in house, and no refund if you don’t stay after all that.

We rented the annex building for our vacation and it was absolutely the best cabin ever. The owners are sweet and the breakfast is so yummy. I can’t wait for our next visit.

Now when I need to think of my "Happy Place" I will think of my memories of Elk Trace Bed and Breakfast. The atmosphere is so calm and relaxing, breakfast always delicious and prepared with love. The accommodations and amenities very comfortible set in isolation of beautiful mountain scenes and wildlife. We loved Elk Trace so much we've booked our stay for next year.

The rustic beauty of the Elk Trace bed & breakfast is matched only by Evelyn, who owns and runs this pearl in the woods. We stayed there on a recent road trip to Royal Gorge Colorado, Mesa Verde and Capitol Reef National Parks. It was a refreshing break from the typical hotel/motel fare.

Beautiful place tucked in with nothing else around. Great views and staff. I try to stay here every time I'm in town.

3 days at Elk Trace and we were delighted. It was a getaway as 2 in the party completed a 6 day hike on the CDT. Just what we needed. Quiet, clean, comfortable beds, near the springs and downtown (10 minutes into town). Delicious home made breakfast and an accomodating and friendly proprietor, Evelyn. Hot tub on site, lovely views. Highly recommend this place and will be back!

Absolutely beautiful home in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The room and restroom were lovely, though I wasn't crazy about sharing a bathroom with other guests. Owners are very hospitable and breakfast was yummy!

Had a great weekend celebrating my cousin’s wedding at Elktrace B&B. The property and views are absolutely beautiful and the hospitality of the owners made the stay even better.

Beautiful rooms, great hospitality, fresh breakfast in the morning, great price. The property is secluded but only 15 min from downtown. The owner has two beautiful and friendly dogs. Great place to stay.

Me and my husband stayed here I recommend it, Evelyn and Tom are very nice people. Their property is gorgeous they make you feel welcome they make you breakfast every morning as well. We will definitely be back soon!

It was my first time staying at a B&B and I thought it was wonderful. So relaxing. We had a nice room that looked out at the Colorado wilderness. We had good breakfast and the lady Evelyn was very nice and generous. I would totally go there again.

I spend two days in Elk Trace. It is located in a very calm and beautiful wood. The owner prepares home made breakfast in the morning, which was an excellent experience. The price, environment, and people were all great. I would revisit this place for our next vacation. Strongly recommended, Onook.

This place is beautiful and more importantly Evelyn makes you feel right at home. She's such a sweet lady, and my nephews and I adore her. We only wish we had more time here to enjoy the accommodations and more importantly Evelyn.

I cannot say enough good things about the time my husband and I stayed here. We would go back in a heart beat! Evelyn and the other hostess and host in October we had during our stay made us feel like we were right at home. The breakfast portions were generous and a well rounded meal with an omlet, fruit, potato cake, bread and pastries. The coffee thermos was never empty. Bed was comfy and room clean. The Colorado night sky was something I will never ever forget. Never once did we feel like we were bothersome and if we needed advice on local places to check out the information was happily given to us. I loved getting to look at the horses and spend time with Max, Picasso, Schotsy (sp? )!

I couldn't be more happy with our stay at Elktrace B&B. The room was spacious and cozy with comfortable chairs to sit in and an incredibly comfortable matress. It's exactly what you want to fall into after a long day of skiing. Every detail throughout this gorgeous lodge is beautiful and one of a kind. Max, the sweet outside dog will greet you with a warm hello upon arrival. Mrs. Jones, the owner is the sweetest person, always chatting with us and asking about our day. She cooks an amazing breakfast each morning, fueling us up for our skiing adventure. The accommodations like the hot tub and lap pool downstairs as well as the porch swings and wonderful firplaces just added to this luxurious B&B. We will be booking this again! Don't look anywhere else, this is an experience you won't want to miss!

We can not say enough positive things about this place! We are coming back for spring break. Evelynn even cooked us an amazing breakfast, the views are stunning and our pup enjoyed walking around the area. In the morning we visited with the owners over breakfast and admired the gorgeous lodge. Cannot wait to come back.

Tom & Evelyn are the most pleasant hosts I have ever met at a B&B. The rooms are ridiculously spacious and feel luxurious without being the price of one. Every time I come to snowboard in Pagosa, this is always my go to spot for lodging.

Probably one of the best places to stay in pagosa springs… Evelyn is a fabulous host and cook too! You won't be disappointed I promise you!

Only the most perfect bed & breakfast in the world! Ran by very friendly people that have become family from our very first visit. That was 7 years ago & has become our home away from home. If you ever want to visit a family type atmosphere & a beautiful place to stay then this is the place for you!

Gorgeous property, beautiful home, kind and accommodating hosts, and some of the best waffles in CO. Evelyn was really sweet and has a way of making guests feel right at home. The house is secluded and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable, allowing for a great night's sleep. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend!

Beautiful house with spacious rooms and a great host. The furniture and the decors were elegant yet cozy. The two dogs owned by the owner are very cute and friendly and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

The rooms were huge and looked like a cabin. There TV was big and easy to use. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very nice.

So I travel extensively for work. I can't count the amount of hotels/motels (holiday inn's HEY YO) I've been to. This is by far the single best place I've stayed in while travelling.
The building itself is like Rivendell. It's also located in heaven on Earth. We had breakfast while hummingbirds were flying overhead. They have 3 amazing dogs who are gorgeous.
The best thing about it though is the customer service. The hosts bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. I will be definitely taking my friends back there whether they want to or not. If I could give it 11 stars I would.

I absolutely love this place and the people that run it, couldn't ask for a finer host and hostess and Sylvia is wonderful, too. They are really good to my children and I like that a lot, I highly recommend a visit.

Just left Elktrace today. We made new friends and enjoyed the " heaven on earth" decor and hospitality from the gracious but very down to earth hosts, Evelyn and Tom. Breakfast was a wonderful experience each morning… And a ton of food! The beds were very comfy. Bathrooms are gorgeous as is the kitchen and main living area. Setting of the house more peaceful than you can imagine. Hummingbirds love this place as much as we did! Tons of them. We really felt at home and can't wait to come back. The details of the lodge decor are impeccable. The huge wrap around covered porches filled with comfy furniture are perfect for gathering with new friends or a peaceful quiet moment with your spouse.
