Great clean place with easy access to Garden of the Gods and Pike's Peak highway. Good continental breakfast and spotless dining area. Owners very helpful with directions and recommendations. Don't miss the town of Manitou. Only downside was air conditioning unit was so high above the vanity sink/counter, we had to climb on a step stool and counter to change the settings. That was a design FAIL and lost the 5 star rating. Otherwise, good location, crystal clear pool and easy spot to access attractions.

I really liked it here. The room was just fine for a budget motel. The room was clean. The beds were really hard but that didn't bother me. Nice central location and next to a park and bus stop. The trolley is free to use to get to town as well. The continental breakfast was great. Not only your fruits, pastries, and cereal, but you also get hard boiled eggs and make your own waffles. I would stay here again. Oh, and the staff was really nice and helpful. I also liked that you can walk to Emerald Fields too.

I love staying at the Silver Saddle! It is very clean, the beds are comfortable, coffee is good, breakfast is about the same as most motels, very friendly to my dog, staff is extremely courteous and best of all, it has charm and kitsch and is right across the street from the city park. I don't have 1 single complaint. Just stars and more stars.

I don’t know what rooms the guests that claim their room was clean were in but it definitely wasn’t mine. The only reason I picked this place is because they allow dogs and for $30 a night extra for my two dogs I would at least expect the floor in my room to be clean. The floors had not been mopped, there was blood on the floor and walls, but what really sent me over the edge were the spiders I kept finding In my room. The owners seem nice and I like that there’s a park across the way which is the only reason I’m giving two stars.

I loved my stay. I was there for an extended weekend. I chose the room with the hot tub and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is in a perfect location. Quick walk to downtown which has great bars, restaurants, and an awesome arcade. Very close to the Garden of the Gods. Very friendly staff. I didn't partake in the breakfast but it did look a little slim. Unfortunately the pool wasn't open when I went but the view from my room made up for it. The only complaint I had is I never received any housekeeping.

This has always been one of my favorite motels because they are clean, friendly and willing to work through most issues of late checkouts and such. There is breakfast for free and you can have more than one serving, the view is great and they are very clean. Outdated no longer because they have remodeled them so if they seem outdated then one must be used to the motels that charge you one months rent in a single night.

Older motel but comfortable bed. Love the fact that it is mostly one story and near a local bus stop to go downtown Manitou Springs or up to the Pike's Peak Cog Railroad.

The hotel overall is a bit outdated. The room was fairly nice although the walls were somewhat thin and you could hear the creaking steps and barking dog of other guests. The location of the hotel is great and the service was fantastic. Overall not a bad stay and very reasonable for the price.

The motel is in a nice location. The staff was helpful and the rate was reasonable. It is an older hotel. The room was musty and was smelled of deoderizer. Did not stay the smell was too strong.

It is a fabulous location with so many activities minutes away. You have an excellent view of the mountains. You can also see GotG across the way! Fantastic service! Would definitely recommend to friends!

Old and pretty small rooms but great location and fabulous pool. A bit of a walk to the downtown area of Manitou Springs but worth the "hike". Not far if you are in average shape but take into account the elevation. I would recommend this place for a night or two where you'd like to see the sites and not spend much time in the rooms. Or just hangout by the pool. :)

Well we booked a room the day we were planning on staying at the motel but after reading reviews of hookers at night we wanted to cancel our reservation but they said we had to pay $65 in order to do so. They also said you had to cancel your reservation 48 hrs before well we couldn't have. The room was very small, the t. V. Was old not much shows to choose from. Nice pool. Yes there were hookers in the front of motel. Don't recommend bringing children to this motel. Would not stay again.

I'm giving this place 4 stars the view is great. It is very close to the garden of the God's. So what if the TV was 20 years old. And only had a few channels. The beautiful pool was perfect. I will come back again.

The location is great; very near the cog railway. I only stayed one night but the room was very quiet. The breakfast was serviceable and there's a pool!

Great location. It has a bit of a Motel 6 feel, with amazing view and super friendly and helpful staff and pretty clean. It's convenient to many of the Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs sites. We'd certainly go back next also recommend it to others.

Let me start off by saying the location of this hotel is great. It's very close to Manitou's downtown area and a short drive to most of the hiking trails. The motel was nice looking, especially for a motel. Good views of The Garden of the Gods from our room. The downside, however, was the smell of pee in our room. That along with some other decisions not involving the motel lead us to leave before staying the night. There was no other rooms available, otherwise we would've asked to switch rooms.

Nice, clean room we were on the early side around 12:30 with time to kill until it was time for cog railraid check in. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and let us check in once she verified our room was cleaned. Motel on the older side, the room was smaller and decor was older but well kept up place on the whole. The furniture was in very nice shape and the two cloth chairs at the table looked new. The bathroom especially the shower/tub was very nice and looked like it had been updated recently; the tile flooring looked fairly new and in great shape other than the cracked tile in front of the sink area. The only real complaint I had was when we first walked in I thought the carpet was wet then realized it was stained. Overall a good place and I would stay again.

Average motel nothing special. Fairly clean. Get what you pay for. View from the parking lot is nice in the morning.

My family and I were there a week ago and the people in room 205 were selling cocaine. I clearly watched the white baggies being distributed. I would not suggest this unsafe environment for any family.

Greeted by a nice young man at the desk; however he gave us a room with two beds that are first off not queens but fulls so my husband and I couldn't sleep together because we didn't fit. Secondly my husband was bit by some kind off bug, so when he woke up every morning he had a new bug bite on his face. Don't know from what kind of bug but it's gross that there where bugs signifying that rooms are not clean. Definitely booking elsewhere next time.

Well, the neon sign out front is outstanding. Overall, it's fine in a pinch. Clean enough for us (two guys on motorcycles) Clean enough that we stayed there twice! Might stay again but I'm leaning towards the Hampton Inn about 10 miles north. It was a cute place and a great jumping off point for Pikes Peak. There's an Italian restaurant just up the road, about an 8 minute walk. Been there twice and would go again.

Great place, me and my wife were able to stay here even though nether of us were 18 yet, we just needed an adult to say they would take responsibility for any damages we may have caused. Overall I felt respected.

The motel was more expensive than others on the same street overlooking the river, the rooms very small and not very clean.

I found this motel to be in a great location to visit Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods park in Co. Springs. Room was clean and the breakfast was good. It's an older classic motel which provided excellent value for cost. I stayed 2 nights in Sept. 2016 and would recommend it based on the price, location and friendly staff. Simple amenities but highly acceptable accommodations and a great view of the mountains.

The rooms are small but really clean. The hotel has a cool vibe to it and its super close to Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, etc.

The silver saddle was enjoyable. Decent rooms kind front desk and a nice breakfast. Would go back again just for the view.

I am always pleased as punch to stay here. Manitou Springs is a quaint town and I really love spending time exploring the area. The rooms are decent. The atmosphere beats most chain hotels hands down. They get the job done at the Silver Saddle. If one runs out of toilet tissue or towels, the staff is quick and happy to oblige. Ice machines and laundry facilities are available for extended stays. I wish they had more modern amenities in the rooms, such as televisions with HDMI inputs, so that peripheral devices packed in brought suitcases could add an extra bit of vidi entertainment alternatives than the free cable television. Wi-Fi was adequate, although slow at times. Overall this place is great. Endeavor to stay here when in the area. You'll be glad you did.

Although the rooms were clean. We rented a room for two weeks. We were told we had to be out by june 23rd due to reservations and them not doing weekly rates. Well went to go pay last night and he says we have to find somewhere else or pay nightly. He went back on his word and left us homeless with two kids.

I love staying at the silver saddle! The rooms are clean and roomy with nice views! The owner is very nice and gives good rates as well as weekly rates. They are accommodating and lenient when necessary. Be sure to book your stay in advance during the summer, they get pack fast because of the location in Manitou Springs!

Was a great place to stay, loved the hot tub experience.

John & the staff were excellent. Located at the lower end of Manitou Springs & within 1/2 mile of Garden of the Gods. Gr8 restaurants within walking distance. Room was good with king size bed. Stayed 5 nights & would definitely stay there again. Thanks John.

Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable (with 3 pillows the way I like it! ) I was on vacation without a definite schedule so I decided to stay another night at the Silver Saddle and explore the area. The room was quiet too and conveniently located. Loved the old time sign out front. This is how it was back in the 60's with Wi-Fi!

Was suppose to stay at this hotel but had to reschedule for later in the summer because sometimes came up at my own hotel. These people would not let me reschedule. I had already paid so I lost all my money. Took my business else where.

The silver saddle is a great classic roadside motel perfect for a nostalgic road trip. The location is fantastic if your visiting pikes peak, Manitou springs and garden of the gods, the view of mountains in the morning is amazing. The Hotel and rooms are CLEAN the staff is very friendly and helpful. They allow dogs with an additional charge and there is a nice park across the street where they can be walked. I cant recommend this place enough.

Charlie was delightful helpful, and one nice guy. We asked for a room w/view and a little privacy, we got what we were looking for. Stayed two nights, room was comfortable and clean. This motel is highly recommended. Very good free breakfast.

This Was terrible. We stayed a week. Then booked another week, thats when I realized there Was complementary breakfast… Or so I thought. I went to get breakfast, and I took a plastic jug to get some orange juice, and the owner, the wife I believe said I could not do that. The next day I went to get " Just a cup of oarnge juice" after morning walk. And the wife blocked the door, she said no you cant be here. I went back to my room and called the frount desk, and Asked what the deal is, and the guy told me breakfast Was complementary, but not for weekly rates. I slipped and told him that I Was going to write a review and that but came to my room and told us he Was going to throw us out, and he Was going to call the police. Its crazy I am a 34 year old woman with my first daughter and two service animals. This guy threw me out of his hotel over a glass of orange juice that Was supposed to be complementary. And to top it all off were two fights two diffrent nights, and every Night it Was excessively loud in the hotel. Never once did the hotel mánager stop all that. There was supposed to be refrigerator and microwave for our weekly rate. I originally left a good review but this Was puré stress to me. We had to move hotels.

DON'T STAY HERE! We made 3 nights reservations for this motel through Travelocity, traveling in from another state. The website gave it 4 stars & the rates were reasonable. However, once we arrived the room was dank, shabby, & cramped. The pictures are deceiving! We stayed in another hotel but the owners of Silver Saddle will not refund our money, citing their cancellation policy which you will not find on their website. Travelocity is spineless to help & our credit card company says they have no legal recourse. Beware! There are other hotels & motels in this town that are clean & comfortable.
