Wonderful and quiet hotel. Walk to everything. Room was huge.

We got married here last weekend and the staff were phenomenal! They went far above and beyond to accommodate our last-minute changes due to the cold, snowy weather. While we were hoping for a little ceremony under the pergola, our fireside nuptials were cozy and romantic. They treated us like family and brunch was delicious!

This is our go to Hotel when we want to get away! it was my husband's 50th birthday and the manager made a card for him and had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in the room! we walked the river and had a delicious meal at the Riverside grill on the patio. The hostess sat us at a small intimate table next to flowers on the river side. Our waiter, Linus was so kind and patient and thanked us for being a fun couple to serve. Just perfect!

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of downtown Golden. Delicious food and drinks in the restaurant, beautiful, spacious rooms.

We had a fabulous family stay here and our dog enjoyed it too. Great location, very clean, fabulous restaurant, great views, and it’s right off the creek.

Wonderful staff and nice rooms. We have a corner suite with a view of the mountains and the river.

Meeting and event spaces were lovely, outdoor patio and creekside event space with boyh the water, mountain views and lush greenery. Food was pretty darn good as well.

Bridgewater Grill: Homeless man bathing in mens restroom, ok food and drinks. Not a good first impression with staff.

Great place for a wedding and reception. We got married on sep 2, 2018 there. Awesomw.

Very nice hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Very nice to our dogs. Nice place out back to walk the dogs. Just wish the attached restaurant was dog friendly like the hotel.

I was amazed at ther hotels interior, atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. The food was really good and well presented. Right in the heart of Golden. A real treasure. I'm going to go back, as I'd like to see one of the rooms. (They were booked up this weekend. ) As I often have family & friends come to visit.

Excellent location next to Clear Creek in Golden Colorado and a great place to watch the tubers splash around. We went to the restaurant next to the creek. The food and service isn't the best, and everything on the menu is around 15 bucks. I had the turkey burger which was pretty bland in comparison to a normal hamburger. The Waldorf salad was great, so if you go here I recommend you go light with salad and drinks.

I was promptly greeted and got checked in. (They even gave me a free cookie. ) Room was great, so was the view. They made checkout a breeze by sending a copy of the bill to my room the morning of check-out. Restaurant in hotel was delicious!

Went for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel lobby is beautiful and well decorated. There is an outdoor dining area covered with roof and/or umbrella. Seating overlooks a river running through Golden frequented by college students and early teens. Menu exhibited wide variety of dishes including appetizers, salads, burgers and big plates. Good selection of wine and beer. Outstanding service and food was delicious. Will definitely go back.

Stopped in for dinner at the restaurant downstairs. It was really nice, and service was quick. The view from the deck is excellent. Pretty great value for the prices of the food. Everything was great, but dessert was really slow getting out, and one of our desserts had a hair in it. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend!

Very impressed with their customer service. We came here for my husbands birthday, and they took great care of us during this stay. They even left a birthday present in the room! We had a room overlooking the creek. It was spacious and clean. Hotel was in a great location near everything we could need.

Very hospitable staff. There was a mix up on reservation and the hotel did not have the double room made through their website. They already upgraded us to a suite and we didn't even have to ask. All was well. The location is great right next to Clear Creek — definitely recommend a walk along it. We were blown away by how friendly and helpful the staff was!

Golden is a beautiful town and the Golden Hotel was a charming stay. We enjoyed the riverside view from our room with snow falling on Friday. We were able to participate with the other folks that lingered along the creek and street Saturday with spring in bloom. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was very nice. I loved the relaxed environment, beautiful salads, and delicately strong “gold fashioned”.

Went here for Easter brunch with the family. There was a nice overall spread on the buffet. I also enjoyed the mimosa bar, it was a little pain having to order these separate. Wait staff was good overall and the price reflected this. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for holiday brunch. I expect most of the rooms to have a great view, the hotel is right off the river.

Perfect location to shop downtown Golden! Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Also has a great bar/restaurant area as well.

Hosted 3 day training event for 45 people. Staff were amazing. Accommodations are great. Wonderful location. Staff were amazing. Did I already say that? It is worth repeating. They bent over backwards to make the event a success. I would recommend to anyone for an event or a stay away from home. I look forward to the chance to visit the Golden Hotel again.

I just stopped here for brunch one day with family. The service was wonderful and very accommodating. The good was delicious and the menu had a wide selection of unique and familiar items. I had a great time here and even the kids enjoyed it too.

My partner, Mary, and I reserved a room at the Golden Hotel for Dec. 25 and 26, 2017. We had stayed there twice earlier in the year, and it was a great experience from beginning to end. This time, to say the least, was not. In the past when we arrived at the front desk they gave us a "doggie treat bag" for our Lab and provided us cookies as a treat for us. This time they had neither, apparently they had run out. The next morning Mary discovered that our coffee maker was not working and we had to have it replaced. Later in the morning when we were leaving for a few hours I noticed cleaning staff was adjacent to our room. I told the them we were leaving with our dog so they could clean our room. When we came back 3 hours later the room had not been cleaned. Mary called the front desk and complained to the assistant manager about the above as well other issues we had. A short time later we received a phone call from the "Hotel Manager" that Mary answered. The manager told Mary, if we were so dissatisfied with our stay we probably should leave now and never come back! Mary responded with appropriate profanity. Later Mary went down to the restaraunt and the manager followed her. He then told Mary that he was going to call the police. Mary then attempted to explain to him that he need not call the police because we were leaving. However, he refused to talk to Mary. The manager did in fact call the police. A short time later 2 police officers arrived at our door.

Wonderful hotel to visit the beautiful town of Golden. The room was HUGE, more than large enough for my family of 6 to comfortably stay. The back deck area by Clear Creek is a hidden GEM! We took some of the best pictures of our vacation by the water.

I have been there for lunch and now for a wedding. The lunch was average, but over priced for average in my opinion. However the wedding I attended was done very well. The food for the wedding was delicious. The couple did the wedding just outside the hotel and next to the creek, it was very nice.

Great hotel, decent restaurant and good location in downtown Golden. The rooms are well laid out, good beds, and nice in door area but it would be nice to have an observation deck with a few hot tubs.

Lived in Golden all my life… long before this hotel existed. Had to pop in last night because of the wind and spend about 15 minutes finishing up family holiday pics with my 2 sons. The photographer and I moved a bench so I could sit and have a pic snapped and waved a guy through so he wouldn't be in the shot. (I inquired at the front desk before doing the pics and was told it was fine and the hotel lobby had 1 guest and 2 employees in it) The guy we waved on rolled his eyes and acted as though we had committed a crime and told us to move the bench back. I told the photographer that the 10 seconds to take the pic was fine, nobody would die. The annoyed man informed us HE was the owner. After he walked away a customer who was checking came over and told me where I had my hand touching the stone… be careful of leaning on his wall, that might be a crime too. No wonder this hotel is behind TMI in guest service. The owner needs to go back to a school that teaches customer service… and patience… and class. Merry Christmas tho!

The atmosphere was welcoming. Our view of the creek and park were wonderful. So glad they could accommodate us. The room was wonderful and comfortable. Would have stayed another day if they had openings. Make the trip and stay here. You won't regret it.

Went to a wedding at the hotel. Lots of great outside space for both the ceremony and the reception. Very pretty place for a wedding! Food was also good.

The room was great, very clean and very spacious. Hotel employees were friendly and helpful. Only issue was the bathroom had no exhaust fan so it was foggy and hard for two people to get ready at the same time. The dining was great and one of best "local" menu options I have seen.

Stayed at the Golden Hotel for a wedding. The venue was great and the staff was very accommodating. Even the little things they do go a long way such as the free beverages. I'd give them a 5 star, but they didn't really take charge during the wedding, instead we had to ask them for help.

It's fun and relaxing sitting outside on a nice day on the river-side of the hotel. Food is good and fairly reasonably priced. Service is variable from good to fair and occasionally below that.

AMAZING from start to finish! The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure that we well taken care of and felt special on our wedding night. Our creekside room had the best view, and was beautiful! Breakfast was delicious, and the outside deck was the perfect place to enjoy it! Thank you for such a perfect place to spend our first married night. We will be back!

I have been to the Golden Hotel for various on a number of occasions and while I've never stayed at the hotel I do have some experience with the kitchen, the bar and the hotel staff. The food is pretty good. While it's obviously designed to not offend anyone's palate it's generally full of flavor and in large portions. The hotel stuff are always friendly and attentive even if the staff does turn over quite a bit, but that's to be expected in this particular industry. If you're a fan of the "old West" or frontier design then you'll love the Golden Hotel's decor and artwork. All-in-all, if you're looking for a top quality hotel in Golden, or just a place to hold an event, you cant go wrong with the Golden.

I only give it 4 because I stayed at the Ritz in Cancun. Other than that 5 stars. Nice attentive staff, nice interior decor, very good food, nice bar, and a great location on the river. If you go to Golden CO you should stay there.

Good hotel, spacious and comfortable room.

My husband and I decided to visit Colorado for our 25th wedding anniversary and chose the Golden Hotel to stay. We booked the room for the week and fell in love with the water view at the back of the hotel. My husband called and asked if we could possibly have a view or the water from our room. They were very gracious over the phone and said they would make every effort to grant our request. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff was amazing! We arrived late and the young lady was very quick in checking us in and getting us our room keys. We get to our room and sure enough it had a beautiful view of the water as well as the color changing trees. To top it off, they had left us a plate of chocolate covered strawberries along with a beautiful card congratulating us on our anniversary! Thank you Golden Hotel for an unvelievable stay! The service was impeccable, room service was prompt and food was divine. We will be back for another anniversary for sure!

A very nice hotel. I went to attend a wedding and the site and passage were great.

The king sized bed is very plush. The bathrooms have virtually any amenity you could need. A great location to stay.

Nice clean place. Our rooms or not the rooms that we had booked. So that was disappointing. They made up for it a little with a free breakfast the next day. But our waitress was was present pretty disappointing. All in all an OK place but to pay $200 a night I don't think we got what we paid for.

This hotel is amazing! The staff is friendly and help with whatever you need! Abigail WC at the front desk was so warm and welcoming and had wonderful recommendations on places to eat and other activities around the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

Just checked into the hotel and the staff here is amazing! Abigail WC (I think) helped us at the front desk she was so warm and welcoming! We had a slight issue with the door key not working but the maintenance staff was right on top it! The room is beautiful and very clean. So far so good I would highly recommend staying here.

Ate at the Bridgewater Grill which provides a very high end experience as at a mid-range cost. Have never been disappointed with food here.

I just recently had my wedding here. It was incredible! Friendly, accommodating staff that made sure my wife and I were truly taken care of. Special kudos to Daniel and Kim, who both made sure our night was unforgettable. I wish there were more stars…

Extremely beautiful hotel, it is located in the heart of golden, this means you gave beautiful views and that wonderful Colorado home feeling. The staff are always friendly and helpful. All in all a pleasant experience.

Great spot in downtown Golden. Restaurant outdoor seating is along the river walk. Handy to Colorado School of Mines. Friendly staff. Old West feel with modern sleeping rooms. Lots of fun local spots within walking distance. It is a smaller hotel, so you have to book early.

My husband and I planned a special trip for our 30th anniversary to this hotel. We were also planning to go to a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater so this hotel was in a very good location (around 25 minutes away). We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was very clean and equipped with robes, coffee maker, great view, and small fridge. We fully enjoyed the "town" of Golden with its shops, restaurants, brew pubs, clear creek walks, and historic statues. The rooms were cleaned, picked up, and vacuumed daily and all the employees in the establishment were friendly and interested in us as tourists. We had drinks at the bar with apps one evening and breakfast twice in the restaurant on site. One breakfast we had was more than enough food but a bit pricey. Waitstaff was attentive and cordial for all our stops there. The highlight was checking with the hotel before arrival and inquiring if they do anything special for a wedding anniversary. We received a bottle of champagne and a lovely piece of chocolate cheese cake with fresh berries for a treat! Another room obviously had several chocolate strawberries with their champagne-obviously they like to treat people well. The only small complaint we had was our final night there when a wedding reception was going on a few floors below our room with pretty loud music. It wouldn't have been a problem normally but we needed to get up pretty early to catch our shuttle to go to the airport. Thanks again for such a memorable stay!

My wife and I had our wedding at The Golden, and they did an amazing job from beginning to end! Even two years later, they made good on an offer on a free room intended for the first anniversary, but made difficult with our first baby boy. We have since returned three times, slowly building a collection of photos of our baby boy under the alter where we were married. The Golden Hotel will forever be an important piece of our lives.
