We had an awesome time here, the owners were great would supply anything you wanted (within reason) knew the area well. Jeff has lots of great stories from all he's done in life.

I stayed here with two of my friends during Spring Break. We had a wonderful time. Marianna and Jeff are great and super friendly! The house is in an awesome location and there is plenty to do within 15 minutes from the place. I will definitely be returning soon.

Mystic portal was EXACTLY what my husband and I were searching for. Not sure what's up with the reviews I'm seeing on here because the owner was well above our expectations when it came to accommodating or needs. I never felt more comfortable! The community it rests in feels very calm (no excess noise, no thru traffic) with lots of nature around. The interior felt like a real home (this was our favorite part! ). When we go on vacation, we feel rushed to get going and see everything, but here we felt like we could really enjoy the stay and take our time ACTUALLY vacationing. The owner was a real gem as well. The view took our breath away (we stayed in the Queen Suite), but the owner put the steam back in us with loads of suggestions and insight. She was honest about some of the more touristy places, and really made the trip a true experience for us. We will never forget her or the Mystic Portal.

My experience with Mystic Portal was fabulous from first step in the B &B to time I left. The Inn keeper saw to my every need and I had my own space as needed. The food was great and couldn't ask for more. The house concert was blow away and can that Inn keeper sing. I would totally recommend this B&B the vibe of this place is awesome. ty… ld.

This place was amazing! Beautiful views and great location in relationships to things to do in Colorado Springs. The room is humble and quaint which is a great change of pace from our busy lives. Marianne made the whole experience great and we practicaly had the run of the place. Will definitely be back one day!

My stay at Mystic Portal was perfect. I would not have imaged finding a home away from home, but I did. Good food, good company, beautiful views, many peaceful and serene areas. When we first arrived, there were 2 deers waiting to greet us. Inside, we found great company and made new friends with the owner and guests. I would highly recommend and I do plan to return again as soon as I can!

Me and my fiancee stayed here for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it! Marianne was always there to help with anything, including calling restaurants at 11:30 pm to help us find a place to eat, and her and her husband really made us feel at home! They were more than gracious! The atmosphere of the backyard is a mix of a home away from home and paradise, a great place to unwind and have great conversations! We will definitely be back soon to enjoy the Alice-in-wonderland-esque beauty and wonderful people at the mystic portal!

It was a magical experience, the apartment was humble and relaxing with a great view of the mountains on the second floor where we stayed. Everything there is to do in Colorado Springs is a short drive away, Marianne took amazing care of us and made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed, and best breakfast I could of imagined. Amazing honeymoon hands down. We shall return for sure.

Located in a neighborhood a small room in the backyard. Bed, nightstand, tv, coffee machine and mini fridge were in the room. Shared bathroom, kitchen and lounge areas. Breakfast was just telling us there were bagels inside. She did say we were free to use her kitchen. There were cats that roamed freely in back yard. Hot tub was nice.

Marianne the innkeeper was amazing, the beds were very comfortable, and clean. We had our own private bathroom with everything we needed. The backyard was something magical in itself very whimsical in a way along with the house. We are already planning our trip again to stay here. You will truly love your stay if you are looking for something other than a normal hotel!

Such an amazing place of total relaxation. My wife and I just celebrated our ten year anniversary in Colorado Springs, and we got so lucky when we booked here. The hostess was so sweet and welcoming. The rooms we stayed in were so open and unique. Had a nice feel to them. Could tell there was recent remodeling, nice! The views are unmatched when relaxing in the hot tub! I highly recommend staying here!

My new wife and I stayed here originally planning to only stay two nights. We loved the atmosphere so much and the hostess is such a doll. She is an amazing musician if you ask her to play and sing for you. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The hot tub was nice and big to fit 4 people at a time. We plan to go again when we get the chance!

Mystic Portal was a great place to stay. Great people, and a hot tub with a spectacular view of Pike's Peak. The neighborhood was nice and I feel always welcome.

Never stayed but the neighborhood is hardly a ghetto. It's one of the oldest areas of town and has character.

Ok I havent stayed here but its not in a ghetto! fyi! it is in an ecceltic — colorado springs — near old 'colorado — city — west — side — neighborhood thats safe and full of good vibes and has unique charm. Dont' let that post put you off.

We were conned into making a reservation here. It is located in the middle of what appears to be a ghetto. Fortunately we arrived late. What we saw raised some serious concerns. First was the neighborhood which was very old with a lot of rundown houses. We had serious concerns about the security of our vehicle and its contents. Second, when we arrived we noticed there was no secure parking. We would have to leave our vehicle parked on the road. There was no lighting whatsoever for the parked vehicles. We contacted the lady to express our concerns that we did not feel safe there nor did we want to park our vehicle on the side of the road. The lady became abusive with my wife and told her that it didn't matter if we stayed there or not, she was still going to charge our credit card for the stay. My advice is to avoid this place and definitely, don't give her your credit card info over the phone. We still have not received a refund as of this date (4 weeks later).

We adore Marianne. This is a lovely place with a very charming feel. She goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and to make you and your family feel at home. Definitely stay here. Great hot tub and terrace too.

Nice view, great food, clean, great service, charming home, loved the view of the mountains from the hot tub what more could you ask for. Marianne was so warm and accomodating I felt more like I was visiting a relative than staying at a Bed and Breakfast.

Really nice place. We stayed there 3 days. The women who own it is soooooo nice and well make a good breakfast and ask you if you would have preferences. (we have fresh fruit, yogurt, orange juice, blueberry bagels, eggs, really good potatoes, salsa. ) and we had this breakfast on our private balcony where we had a beautiful view on the mountain. The room was large. The bathroom was really clean! I really recommend it. Oh and there is also a hot tub.
