Bad customer service, rooms were not ready until past 3:45 and we were waiting since 1:15

Desk clerk was super nice. Gave me hot tea to drink and a book to read overnight. Exceeded my expectations in hospitality.

This is getting a low rating from me because the AC unit in my room has had old moldy food in it and still has not been cleaned out even after I brought it to the hotels attention. The beds are pretty stiff and the TV guide is not accurate to what is available. The coffee they leave in the room comes with only one sugar and cream and the coffee at breakfast is watery. The Wi-Fi is slow and not very secure. It really sucks that it's not a smoking hotel but rules are rules. The only reason it gets even one star from me is that the shower has good pressure and is hot. If I did not have to stay at this hotel for work I would not come here again.

Had a great time here. Everything was clean & welcoming. I really liked the fact they had recycling available as well. Good location for everything I wanted to do in Colorado Springs.

Update: I downgraded my review to 3 stars because though the stay was good… But not how much it cost. I could have easily gotten the same quality for at least $20 a night less! Really nice… I just wish they had carpet. The screen window had holes so we can't air out… But if those are the worst that's not bad. More furniture would be nice… But it's already pretty awesome.

Well… being a Choice hotel like Clarion and given the expensive rates, we thought this would be a good place to stay. Not so much. There were cigarette holes in the comforters, every edge/corner in the bathroom had mildew coloring, the shower temp wavered requiring constant attention to avoid being burnt or frozen, the sink handles we're loose and the breakfast was minimal. But I did give them an extra star for the nice staff. Other than that they are a meh. I wouldn't completely avoid this place but I'd rather stay at Clarion for half the price.

The staff were very accomodating and nice. Overall cleanliness was acceptable, but not stellar. The free breakfast was standard fare, with nothing outstanding. The building could use some updating. Everything in the room was functional and in decent shape. They did accept pets to stay, but did seem to use older and worn (stained) bedding in those rooms. Overall a decent stay with nothing really great or bad about the stay.

Booked room 2 weeks in advance when I arrived at the hotel after a LONG drive they informed me my card had not gone through. I did not receive an email or call telling me my room had not been reserved. After my long drive I had to pay $120 dollars for a room that I thought I had booked. Would have been nice to be informed my rooms were not booked.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The hotel is rated at a 2 star, so I didn't expect the world for the one night stay, but this place isn't even a 1 star. In the room itself, it looked like moths had eaten the curtains, the pillows had beyond zero support, very cheap quality, and the iron had an electrical short so it barely worked. Outside of the room, in the hotel itself there were stains on the carpet, wallpaper peeling from the walls, water stains on the ceiling, and stained general facilities furniture. It looked more like a place that would be in a horror movie. Spend a little extra money and stay in one of the other half dozen hotels directly next to or across from this one, even if just got one night. I got absolutely zero sleep.

Terrible experience! We, regularly, go to the Comfort Inn. This time we chose the Econolodge, as it got late, and we presumed that this would be a good hotel too. We could not have been more wrong. We cannot think of one thing that was right, or person who was pleasant. never again.

This place was the absolute worst! 1) The room smelled like disinfectant so badly that I couldn't sleep. In fact after 2 hours in the room, my eyes burned and nose bleed as a result of what ever cleaner they used. The owner blamed the smell on the last guests. 2) The desk in the room was not clean, with old food and sticky from old soda. 3) The ironing board holder was hanging off the wall, no ironing board was available. 4) The long list of television stations was not subscribed. Most available channels were religious broadcasts. The owner refused to refund the nights stay even though I was only in the room two hours. Avoid at all costs!

Room and shower small but clean. All sugar breakfast of cereal, banana, waffle, jelly and muffins to eat. Not good for diabetics. Coffee was good.

It's definitely an economy stay, the beds are alright, but everything else is pretty basic. Great rates though! And the staff is nice.

I usually always stay here when going to Colorado Springs, but this last time I stayed it didn't seem as clean and there is a bunch of people living there and kids running down the hall knocking on doors, although the customer service people are wonderful. Maybe it will be different after they get remodeled. Homeless people were even sleeping outside.

I purchased a room off TripAdvisor but the fees were outrageous of $20 more. The room was as pictured in the advertisement but it was a bit run down, refrigerator was dirty on the handles, shower was clean, toilet was dirty and off center, Sheets appeared to be clean, no carpet but the floors were clean, run down areas of the hotel itself very noisy at night between the hours of midnight and 2 door slamming people walking up and down the hallway. Someone kept trying to put their room key in my door several times between the hours of 2 and 4 to the point where I had to barricade my door and fear that they were trying to break in. There appears to be no cameras in the hallways or any security at all so I would caution anybody who is staying there to take these things into consideration. There is very little going on behind the building itself so it is very plausible that you could have things stolen out of your car or even things stolen out of your room while you're sleeping and nobody would know. They really need to step up security there but it seems to me as if management really doesn't care what goes on there.

If I could give this hotel a ZERO I definitely would! Let’s start by saying the hotel is disgusting. We found drug needles and caps all over the hotel and parking lot. The walls are paper thin so you hear EVERYTHING going on around you. We happen to see a couple fighting across the hall and lots of loud drunks coming in throughout the night. Lastly, the hotel has cleaning staff that are THEIVES! Me and my husband were on our honeymoon. He took a shower and left his wedding ring with diamonds on the bathroom counter and it was stolen. That’s what completely ruined our entire trip! Like seriously, who would do that? I recommend to everyone NOT to go with this hotel because you won’t get any sleep, it’s dirty, depressing AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS! Not worth it!

It's not a horrible place if you don't mind crazy drug fueled idiots wandering the halls all night slamming the doors. I've gotten more sleep in a room filled with toddlers than I did at this place. As far as breakfast goes, it's waffles and cold cereal… not very continental. But for the price I guess it did its job. I definitely won't be coming back though.

You get what you pay for. Had to work in town, so basically was there to sleep. The place has a lot of activity during the night so you tend to hear a lot of doors closing and loud TVs.

Housekeepers stole our belongings while we were gone! Went to the manager who wouldn't even listen to us, just kept staying he knows they wouldn't steal anything. Over 100 dollars of our belongings are now gone forever. He didn't even try to help us in any way.

Under construction. No ice. Appliances everywhere. Said they had breakfast but it was just coffee. At check in they said our room had a queen and a couch, no couch. Room was supposedly just finished but paint on the wall behind bed was half done, no end table on side of bed. Definitely not cleaned very well because there was a spider smear on shower door. However the staff was extremely friendly.

DISGUSTING! They do not clean well, it smells, no pool like advertised. And it cost way to much to stay here.

Clean room, wonderful breakfast, awesome staff. It is undergoing remodel but still was very happy with my visit. Will stay here again.

I would give more. From Jimmy Toshia The Wonderful House Staff they all make you feel at home. I realized that they are rules that need to be followed by everyone. But there is plenty of places to walk or people to talk. The point if given a chance the folk Shine like Diamond. How do l know. I am a Entertainer l stay at a lot of places. Econo is like going home.

Room wasn't the cleanest. But they were going through a remodel so oh well. Was inexpensive even with a pet. Huge downside was no bath tub…

Room was small but adequate. Everything seemed clean and maintained. The pillows were small and the bed was a little lumpy. The complimentary breakfast had waffles. A good place to stay if on a budget.

We initially got a dirty room with nails sticking out of carpet. I found them by stepping on them with bare feet. Thank goodness I recently had a tetanus shot. When that issue was brought up with the manager all he said was "okay. " We switched rooms. They cancelled our reservation without warning despite money in our account. Didn't even try to contact us. We had to pay more for a double room, didn't even seem like they were remorseful about the situation. Staff is friendly, save for the front desk staff. Theyre on their phones all day and make you feel like you're inconveniencing them to take a break from their conversation to do their jobs. Vagrants and druggies meeting up with their dealers hang all around the hotel inside and out. Management doesn't care. Don't stay here. Spend the extra money and get a decent hotel. This one is far from it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It's extremely affordable, clean, spacious, and in a great location. We had plenty of places to choose from to eat, the mall was a couple of blocks up, and we were within minutes of the freeway. The staff was very kind and accomdotating as well. All in all we had a great stay and will definitely book with this hotel again.

Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. Where to begin! I called trying to check in early, I was told by a Middle Eastern man that there would be an early check in fee of $40.00, I said that’s fine. When I got there, the same man tried telling me it was going to be $45, I asked him what changed because earlier he said $40.00, he then said “Oh, $40.00 is fine. ” Shady as can be! We got the the room and immediately noticed that the room was dirty, it had screw holes in the walls, stains on the walls, a caulk substance all over the shower, the bathroom tile looked like a child installed it and forgot the grout and the final straw was COCKROACHES! We saw a cockroach just walking from behind the Television. After that we called the front desk and informed them of the roach and they offered to move us to another room but it was only a 1 bed. We paid for a Two bed room and have two extra people with us. We told them that it wouldn’t work at which point they didn’t know what else to do, they said they would call us in 10 minutes, about 15 minutes later they called and said they could refund us for the night and the next day that we were supposed to stay, we accepted. Here’s they thing, when we get to the front desk, they charge us $54 and some change. We have instant charge notifications on our phones, when we asked them why they just charged us, they denied it, we called our card company in front of the front desk clerk and and the customer rep confirmed it on speaker phone.

They promised me a three day reservation discounted at $150.00, but when I arrived they only had me booked for one night and wanted to charge me full price plus a $50.00 deposit that they did not disclose to me when I placed my reservation. When I called to complain to their reservations department, they refused to reverse the charges against my credit card & told me that only the operator at the front counter could reverse the charges. I informed the reservations operator that they were the ones who charged my card and that it's not only illegal to file undisclosed charges to a customer's card, but they were perfectly capable of reversing a charge as all merchants can and that denying me a refund was against the law. The reservations operator hung up on me. Do not take a chance on these shady scumbags, they will bait & switch you, charge undisclosed, hidden fees & refuse you a refund. Kafkaesque.

My 2 friends and I stayed at this Lodge while attending the "Healing is Here" conference in Woodlands Park. A young man by the name Victor seem to be on duty whenever we came and went. He was a huge plus to our pleasant stay as he was friendly and quite polite. We each felt that if we were ever in the area again, that Econo Lodge would be our choice. Sincerely, Connie L.

This is a beautifully designed hotel. The rooms were the highlight of our one-night stay — well-designed, super comfy and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is sufficient and tasty.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. We always stay at 2 star hotels and there's never been an issue but this hotel was so bad. Everything about it felt cheap and sleezy. Not to mention, it gave me bug bites! I left with red marks on my left leg and all over my back. I recommend spending a little more money and getting a nicer hotel.

By comparison of other reviews, my room was RELATIVELY clean. But just like other reviews, if I can give 0 star, I will. After checking for few hours, I checked out immediately and moved to another hotel. The bed was dirty and it seems like other reviews have reported bed bug problems. Closet broke, and there are holes and stains on the chair and floor. Even though I did not find any footprint of bugs, I still wanted to move out immediately. Before clicking the booking botton by the cheap price, just think few more minutes.

Not bad for $69. The people working the desk were very friendly! The room was clean. There's evening free breakfast — coffee, tea, apples, oranges, cereal, waffles and toast. The location is pretty great, too. There's a Whole Foods around the corner if you want groceries and several restaurants nearby as well.

Clean, quiet, affordable, and convenient, and the staff was outstanding! Continental breakfast was yummy, too.

Well… had to do a last resort check in at 2am because everything else in the vicinity had no vacancy. That was Tuesday the 26. Apparently it was the last room available, room 310. The charge was $150 with tax. When I finally got to the room the first thing to notice that it was hot, the window was open and a very junk of a portable fan was trying to do a miracle cooling the room that had no A/C. So I called the front desk and the guy try to play it like he didn't know even if with a fan and open window as evidence. So the only option was to give me a portable "a/c" to "cool off" and leave a note for a discount when checking out. Horrible, it never cooled off. First thing I noticed when got out of bed was the envelope with the receipt for fast check out, and no discount. So I go to talk to the general manager (Sherlie). The lack of customer service is so embarrassing. So obvious that everyone knew about the a/c problem and never warned me about it so I can make the decision to stay or leave. The last damn room, so no worries about making the quota for the day. Just a horrible attitude of "I don't give a damn and I just say a hundred times I'm sorry to compensate for my lack of humanism". Only a 30% discount for 6 hours stay and 3 hours of sleep. Sherlie really doesn't give a damn about the customer and her job. The only reason I give 2 stars is because housekeeping did their jobs good enough.

The rooms are small and dated, and the lobby smells, but for the price I was willing to overlook the cosmetics of this place. Unfortunately, we got to our room that we had booked for 4 nights and all four pillows on the beds were the consistency of confetti mixed with a little tissue paper, the general manager Stephanie informed me that that was not a part of the hotels concerens in the comfort of our stay. REALLY? Pillows are not important? Where you have to rest your head for 4 nights is not important! There was no compinsation made and no other attempt at customer service or care for our discomfort. Stephanie had the nerve to say that they are asked all the time if people can buy they're pillows. I find it hard to believe. Don't stay here, dont waste your money, there are other economic hotels that are clean and safe and actually care about custumer satisfaction. My neck is killing me and we have 3 nights to go! UGH!

First off, rates were double what they should have been, but we were tired and didn't feel like shopping around. Our room was in worse shape than the motel 6 we stayed in the previous night. It absolutely reeked of cat urine. We did however, have clean sheets and bright white towels. Shower only, no tub. Close to food and shopping centers.

The front desk experience is a joke! I couldn't even tell I was talking to the "General Maneger" because of her useless, un-classy, extra un-ordinary mannerisms. She said she is the only one to talk to, which also makes her think she can talk to you however she wants. Great Job picking management Econo Lodge. I don't run the worlds and unfortunately my money is already spent, but I can make sure none of my family members, or friends ever stay at this Econo Lodge that's "privately owned" so the General manager thinks she doesn't have to have any customer service skills.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I can say with complete and utter certainty that this was the worst hotel experience my family has EVER had. My husband was having to stay in Colorado Springs for work for a few weeks. This week he had to stay at this Econo Lodge. The room he was placed in had BED BUGS! He informed the front desk and asked to switch rooms… The front desk actually refused to accommodate the request to change rooms siting that they needed to inspect the room with their senior housekeeper… Later when I called, they said that they didn't see any bed bugs, even though my husband had bites all over him. I called the Colorado Springs Health Department and was referred to the Code Enforcement Department. They had followed up on a complaint on June 14th about bed bugs. They knew about the bed bugs and they lied about it and had sold the room anyway! we will be filing a formal complaint. UNSCRUPULOUS, DISHONEST… We will pursue legal action for the cost to disinfect my husband's work gear… especially if we end up getting bed bugs in our home! IF THIS WOULD POST WITH NO STARS… THAT'S HOW I WOULD POST.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Pay the money for a better hotel! My motel 6 experience was waaaaaaaay better than here. Super dirty, people always loitering outside, people that "worked" there always seemed to be doing nothing, and the breakfast was a JOKE! I felt like the workers lived there and a few other guests too. The hotel next door cleaner but the service was the same. Horrible!

Bad hotel. Front desk likes to charge your card twice and not say anything about it. When confronted about it they will say it's an authorization hold. Which they will not tell you about when you check in because it's robbery. My last week here I paid 574 for a 7 day rate. A couple of days later I get charged for an additional 418 that I didn't authorize. I have since checked out and complained about it to corporate. They're supposed to send it back 3-7 business days. But being at this hotel has put me in a financial hardship. Don't stay here unless you have money to give away to the GM.

The worst place to stay!. Rooms smell like weed. Old furnishing, old tv's. Dirty hallways. Worst breakfast service. The restroom door is kind of sliding door (? ). Poor desk attention. Dirty room carpets. The microwave is full of smells an fluids. Avoid this place for your health!

Very very rude gm threatened me on my first night God forbid I come to the counter to ask for something was called a lier twice about extension and showed proof would not recommend to any one some of see staff was alright two specific just gm pissed me off she doesn't need to be running the place always angry I don't understand how.

This is a terrible hotel, even for the low price. Upon entering, we were greeted by a crowd of people loitering around the desk, of which not one person was wearing anything that resembled a uniform or who offered to check us in. Furthermore, the entire hotel was dirty, with a disagreeable odor and dogs constantly barked at us from rooms on the first floor. Once, after being out for the day, we returned to find that housekeeping had not come. We called the desk and asked if they could service the room while we went out again for the evening, and they agreed to do so. However, upon returning the second time, there were still not fresh towels or sheets: housekeeping still never came! I hope they improve their service after our complaints.

I don't know where to start. Staff was weird. There was blood stains on the carpet of our room. Mix that with a bunch of transients trying to get a place to lay down. Breakfast was sad. Disgusting is an understatement. I won't leave out the fact I had to request maid service for the room as well. It is not worth the cheap buck. I haven't had the time to contact corporate about missing items from our belongings. Just not sure it's worth it. Please don't stay here.

Don't stay here, manager and staff are really rude, I called Corporate and complained for the first time in my life… and rooms are really gross, not cleaned well at all, and I had bugs in my room.

I was satisfied with the accomodations. A great room for a great price.

Quite the unpleasant place to stay. No hot water until our second night after complaining twice, took 20 minutes to get the bathroom door (with a broken lock) to slide out, the lock on the door HAD SCREWS FALLING OUY, dead fly on the window sill for our entire stay after room service came in twice. But one big thing was I had brought a DVD player to alleviate the tedium from their horrible cable selection. Plugged it in via the HDMI cable pluged into their cable box. Worked fine. Afterwards roomservice replugged it into the cable box. Whatever. Came back later and did the simple swap. After that time they replugged the cable box, and messed with the settings so even if I plug my cable directly to the TV, the screen doesn't pop up. Then they locked the settings there. Who does that? It was $7 cheaper than the last place I stayed here, but looking back the savings wasn't worth the passive aggressiveness, dirty room, broken elevator, and massive security flaws. Please stay elsewhere.

I reserved a room with a credit card online and once I got there I told them I wanted to pay with cash I just reserved the room with the card then the receptionist told me " oh well thats going to be A "$100 deposit.? (The receptionist lost her damn mind) I laughed at her and said "nah you can cancel that bullshit"… pathetic they charge like they think their the Hilton or something!

The Econo Lodge was perfect for what we needed. It was cheap, generally clean, and conveniently located! It was not very nice, but we got exactly what we expected.

The staff seemed nice, though the room was completely unacceptable. The heat didn't work; the hot water only lasted 2 minutes; and there was some odd white stuff stuck to the floor of the room that made me decide not to remove my shoes. If it werenkt for the polite staff, I would have given it one star.

This was possibly the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. We found a roach the first night and moved rooms. There were tiny beatles in the bed which could have been bed bugs. We were told we brought them! We saw other people moving rooms as well. We figured it was because of the bug problem. Who knows? Also the TV was broken as well as the AC unit. Basically don't stay here. It's worth paying the extra $20 to stay anywhere but here.

Staff was freindly except for one man. We asked for towels and he told us he could give us some, but not take them to our room. Sounded kind of rude, maybe it was outside of his job description. Rooms was clean, found a small beattle but other than that bug free. Fresh clean sheets and linens. The parking lot is a little tight and someone parked a big truck that took out 6 spaces, and our view was of the parking lot. I would stay here again though and I recommend it. Close to the freeway, and 24 hours McDonald's and walmart.

Cheap, but you get what you pay for, which is not much. Staff varies from helpful to clueless. There are lots of other options nearby, so… don't stay here.

Location isn't too bad, multiple entrances with guest key access, but that's about the only plus. Sink knobs weren't attached, water shot out sideways, the latch on the door that only allows it to open a few inches fell off when I hooked it, hotel reeked of weed. Worth what you pay, not horrible for a one nighter.

It was probably the worst motel that I ever stayed in. The bed was hard as a rock was the air conditioning was broken and the clerk at the front desk. Was rude and not very friendly.

I enjoyed my stay here. It's a good hotel for the price you pay.

Good deal for the money until they stole $50 from a wallet hidden inside my closed suitcase! When I told the manager, I was told to call the police. I would have if I hadn't had a plane to catch.

Right now, not great. Room nice enough, nothing spectacular. Shares the pool with the comfort suites next door. Indoor portion of the pool is really tiny but the waterslide is fun. Staff not very pleasant. Breakfast starts at 6. Spoons, syrup, butter, tea bags, waffle batter were never put out or all gone 6:30. Had to ask 4 times for things to be restocked. There were only 2 pieces of fruit. When day shift manager came in at 7 she was rude but did start restocking so had breakfast by 7:15-7:30. Annoying since we had been there since 6. Will update if tomorrow is better.

Could not beat the price, great place to stay for the night, it was nice having a good breakfast and friendly staff.
