Shameful Price Gouging! You should be lower your rates for those in need! Hope you get sued! Jeannie McClusky is at Econo Lodge Williams.

I would like to express my extreme disappointment with They are taking advantage of those have been evacuated and displaced by the My best friend and her family have been staying at the Econo Lodge in Williams for the past 3 days. The rate they were given when she checked in was $89/ night for a room with 2 double beds. She has dogs and they charge a non-refundable $20 per pet, per night deposit. So she has been paying (or so she thought) $149 per night. She checked her bank account and found that she is now being charged $129 per night for the room in addition to the $60 in non-refundable pet deposit. They never informed her, so she went to talk to the person at the front office. She was told they raised the rates because there is such a high demand for rooms right now with all of the people being evacuated. This HAS TO BE illegal! She told me the TV hasn't been working in her room, and she called once she woke up the first morning. (They didn't check in til about 3 in the morning). Now she's being told she is going to be charged for the TV. WHAT?!?!?!?! They said she should have called as soon as she checked in. Mind you, they didn't try to turn on the TV til when they woke up later that morning. WTF?!?!?!?! Is this really the way they do business? I guess it makes sense then that they are not a BBB Accredited Business. I am disgusted by their tactics. Shame on you, Econo Lodge! Please share this and let others know what they are doing!
