The Long Barn Lodge is a great site for weddings, family reunions, or even a weekend getaway for personal recuperation. The cabins are small, but adequate. Strawberry Creek is within walking distance, so taking a fishing pole along on a hike would be a good idea.

Great location and clean. Very old age style yet we didn't need anything upscale, except internet. They had a password to access but I still struggled getting online. Shower had great pressure and stayed warm.

An ice skating rink is a very special place and this rink is a very special place indeed. We stayed in one of the guest rooms and my brother in law was married on the property. It's a beautiful place all year round.

What a cool place to visit. Its so quiet but yet you have a skating rink to go skating at. The cabins are cute and clean.

Beautiful surrounding area. Great place to stay when visiting the snow in nearby Strawberry, although I would stay here in any season. We got a room for 4 and it was rather spacious. It was clean and had everything we expected. Enough floor room to fit 2 queen air mattresses. On-site skating rink was fun but be cautious as the ice was tore up when we went skating, led to many falls as we are amateurs. The employees I interacted with were all helpful & courteous. I would definitely stay here again.

We went ice skating on new years day and it was great! It got busy but that is typical of any ice skating place on new years. The only complaint I have is about the ice it's self. It did not get really surfaced when we were there and was bumpy and not smooth to skate on. It's a small rink but worth every penny to go to.

Very friendly staff, love the family atmosphere in the lodge and skating rink. Room was spacious and mostly clean, although the bathroom/shower could certainly use a deep clean. At some point, lodge owners will need to renovate as it is becoming run-down and outdated. But such is life in a small mountain town! Don't forget your hair dryer.

Stayed in the motel during October. Not a bad stay if you aren't picky. Jer was cool but the room didn't smell super fresh. Probably due to moisture in the room so much oh the snow season. It did the job though.

Just okay better during winter months I would think.

Our room had two beds, oddly enough one was a queen & the other was a twin size. I didn't mind really until I found that the room next door my friend was using had two queens and a couch & it was about the same size room, maybe a lil bigger. Shower was decent, couldn't find anything to watch on the TV, had a bunch of random channels to choose from. Overall had a great night's sleep & that's all I care about.

Long Barn Lodge is our favorite vacation spot! The rooms and amenities are wonderful, the pool is fabulous, and the staff is world class. Such a wonderful and relaxing place to spend a weekend getaway. Super close to the beautiful Pinecrest Lake!

This place is awesome! The people that live and work here are most friendly and helpful. The maintenance on the property is superior and nice to experience. As a former advanced ice skater, I really enjoyed the seasonal ice rink. The ice was well groomed, and not overcrowded at the times I was lucky enough to be present during skating season. I have also experienced the facility during the springtime. It is not very crowded then, but the property is so well maintained that it is a pleasure to take a walk on the grounds, or to hike the surrounding areas to admire the nearby cabins and the forest. I plan to visit again this summer. Never been to Pinecrest before, but I have heard that it is a nice place to take a kayak. The cabins are my favorite, but the motel is also well appointed with comfortable beds, and a very clean environment. Check it out! Hope to see you there…

We had a good time here. Lots of little cabins to fit the need. Each one has cook tops and utensils, and they have on site ice skating which our kiddos loved. All in all we would come back and stay again.

This ice rink is smaller than a hockey rink and the ice needs cleaned off smother out more often also their were people playing tag on the ice going the wrong way and almost knocking people down. I think should hire an ice rink watcher for doing bad stuff.

I love Long Barn lodge it was perfect for me and my family and it had enough snow for us to enjoy it even more.

I went ice skating. It wasn't the largest rink, but it worked fine. For two people it was $22 all day.

I would not recommend this place. This place is just disgusting! I purchased a Groupon, and after reading the reviews I felt that it was a good deal. Wrong! The room smelled like body odor, mildew, and urine all mixed together. The shower had mildew, and the carpet was very stained. The comforter had dried food on it, and obviously wasn't washed. The pillows wreaked of body odor, and were very dingy. I walked in and out of this place. I would highly suggest to the owner (Debbie) remodel and purchase new pillows. Oh, and fire your cleaning lady, Ana.

For the past 5 years, our extended family has been coming here for a long weekend in July. We really enjoy the pool, grassy area, and BBQ. We love going to Pinecrest Lake to kayak/boat. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are helpful. One year we went to Sonora Pass and went backcountry skiing (yes, in July! ). We look forward to coming again this summer. I would especially recommend it if you have a large group, like we do!

I have been to this lodge twice and have enjoyed my stay both times. The staff is wonderful and extremely efficient as they go out of their way to accommodate you. Rooms are clean but rustic so don't expect anything different. I stayed one time during a snow storm and had to turn off the heater several times as it worked great. The grounds are beautiful with no trash anywhere. The swimming pool is great, especially when you are floating on your back and looking up at the huge trees in the forest. You are able to BBQ, play horseshoes, volleyball (all provided) or bring what you need as they have a large beautiful grass area. I brought my dog for an extra $25.00 per stay. This area has plenty of fishing, hiking, and a lake with a nice beach nearby. They have a mid week special of $59.95, which is great when you are on a budget. I always look forward to staying here every year and would do it more often if it wasn't 5 hours away from me.
