We recently stayed at the Deerfield Lodge while in town for our wedding at Emerald Bay. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed! The staff was very sweet and even left us a bottle of wine with a congratulations card on our wedding day! Plus to top it all off, my husband and I took some wedding photos in the beautiful yard with a sign we had custom made and we left the sign outside… we had no idea we left it as we left for a roadtrip the morning after our wedding. The concierge emailed us while on our trip telling us someone brought in our sign and they shipped it to our home in WA where it was waiting when we got home a week later ❤ To say we highly recommend The Deerfield Lodge at Heavenly is an understatement! The Williams will definitely be back!

We love to stay here when visiting S. Lake Tahoe, and they LOVE our big dog, e. G. There’s milkbones in the front lobby and paw safe ice melt. The rooms are very spacious with fireplaces and a kitchen area (sink, fridge, Keurig, etc), plus first floor units have an outside patio with table and chairs plus easy access to the courtyard. Upstairs units have large decks. The staff is amazing, Jasmine helped us this time, and she was the most patient and helpful person (we had 3 rooms for different stay durations).
Easy access to Heavenly, but just far enough away from stateline to provide some peace (& quiet) for us at night. Highly recommend this place!

Loved the in room Jacuzzi's, dog friendly, and close to nearby restaurants, shops, and grocery store.

All of the nice things other reviewers commented on are true for us: great room, great staff, clean, convenient, quiet, and comfortable. I just had the best night's sleep I've had in two weeks. I'm spending a lot of time here while my wife is at a conference, and I'm perfectly content. The room (regular King) is really well designed. The footprint is just 16x25, but the first words out of my wife mouth were "Wow, what a nice, big room! " We have stayed in much larger (and more expensive) rooms, but every inch is well utilized here, with good flow and every luxury you can use without any of the useless fluff most higher end hotels put in to make things seem better than they are. There is a spacious feel, and my wife thinks this is the nicest hotel we've stayed in. I know that some folks would miss having A/C, but I don't, and the room has a good ceiling fan as well as a box fan. The grounds are lovely, but there is room for an outdoor spa (hint, hint ;-) The microwave, fireplace, and charging station are all plusses, and the nicest luxury was being shown to the room upon arrival and greeted by name the next morning when I went to the lobby for tea. That's customer service! I think this should be the model for hotels. A budget version of this would be easy to accomplish, and leveling up a few finishes and offerings would make it as nice a place as anyone would ever need to stay. Kudos to you Deerfield, you really hit the mark!

So far we are loving our stay at the Deerfield Lodge so far. Everything was so nice and neat. The host was very informative and they even called us early and mentioned to is that our room was ready and we could check in early if we wanted. Very thoughtful of them. I would certainly stay here again.

We brought a large group for a basketball tournament and their rooms and facilities were perfect. There's a great area for barbecuing and hanging out together. We'd definitely return.

Very nice rooms, grounds and people. This will be our place from now on. Simple breakfast on weekends. Large rooms, big nice beds. Room has fridge and microwave. Great location on Ski Run.

Jasmine greeted us with a smile and a great attitude. She is very helpful with everything. The lodge is impeccably clean, and the room was perfect. The yard they have for guests is beautiful with well manicured landscaping. It is close enough to everything yet far enough that it's not overun by the large crowds. Love this place and will only stay here when coming to SLT.

We loved this place! The service is extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms are "Heavenly" no pun intended. With our room (the King Delux) the rooms had napkins silverware, plates cups and mugs all on hand. They room came stocked with K-cups and meal bars for this that wanted to get right out in the trails in the morning. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great location, nice rooms, and an amazing staff! Maya, the manager, was super helpful throughout our stay. Look forward to staying here again.

First time in Tahoe since 2000. Clean rooms peaceful, at front desk "Ally", was such a pleasant person and helpful made our stay AMAZING! Maya answered all my questions and concerns prior to arriving. Great place, good professional people running it.

I cannot say enough about this place! The accommodations are clean, well appointed and comfortable and the staff is the best! We moved from another hotel that we were disappointed with and this is our new favorite place to stay!

This place was great! They are so nice and accommodating. Everything has been updated because they had a fire a couple years ago. Fireplaces in every room. If you can get a suite go for it because there is nothing better than soaking in a Jacuzzi after a long day is skiing. There is no pool or hot tub otherwise.

I freaking love this place. Hands down best Service ever. They were polite. They went above and beyond to provide roses, chocolates and wine (for a really small fee) for my Valentines day. They recommended amazing tours that I will forever cherish. They even booked our dinner reservations with no cost. They even sent text reminders. Please check them out.

Great place for a romantic or quiet getaway. The rooms are wonderful, spacious and Amanda is AMAZING! I called the day before to go over some last minute details and she was great! My wife and I arrived to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and there was a bottle of wine, two glasses and a note that read, " Happy Anniversary from the Deerfield. " Such a wonderful place! Highly recommended!

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary. Amanda called us the day we were to arrive to let us know our room was ready early. The service was excellent. There was also a happy anniversary card in our room when we arrived from the staff. The rooms and grounds are very clean and relaxing. We had a wonderful time. Thank you to Amanda and staff for making our anniversary very memorable. Will definitely return again.

This hotel is independently owned and operated with only 22 rooms. We are on the second floor with a balcony overlooking a lovely yard. The room has a kitchen counter with everything except a stove. The thermostat regulates the gas fireplace which is the heat for the room. The most comfortable king size bed we've ever slept in (doesn't move when one body moves! ). The ceramic tile floor in the bathroom has heated tiles! We so lucked out on this place. Internet search for where we wanted to be. Yes we can afford this in off season (at Heavenly on Ski Run Rd. ), but would love to be here in the winter with snow on everything (even though we are not skiers! ). Highly recommend!

This is a very comfortable place to stay with friendly staff. The rooms are very nice with a very comfortable bed, large shower, gas fireplace, and patio area with chairs looking onto the nice outdoor courtyard. Parking is free an very convenient to your room. Free fast Wi-Fi and light breakfast. This is the place to stay in South Lake Tahoe.

Absolutely beautiful quite and very romantic, we booked last minute for our anniversary and had a special gift waiting for us in our room when we arrived. Its a very small intimate lodge did I say beautiful its beautiful inside and outdoor, im actually making future plans for family and friends to stay here. Staff is amazing everything is very clean the bed sleep Wonders I can't complain absolutely great experience.

A gem! We just returned from an overnight visit. The Deerfield Lodge is very sweet, charming, clean, comfortable, and friendly. The rooms are spacious, the beds and pillows super comfortable. We had a second floor room with a view of the beautiful garden and common area. The property is centrally located to the marina and downtown area. The only drawback is that they do not have air conditioning but they tell you upfront many times about that in case you need to change your mind about staying. I highly recommend this lovely lodge.

A most amazing gem in a nice quiet spot in South Tahoe. Don't worry, it's still close enough to the action. The rooms were large and emasculated, the building and grounds were impeccable, and the hosts were a real treat. Amanda was one of the best parts of my trip. A real delight!

From the first hello with Amanda it was a different experience than the previous experiences I had with calling other properties. We tend to take for granted how important that first impression of your establishment is and you better have someone with strong hospitality skills as it can make or break a potential booking. It's like monopoly, if you don't pass go, you don't collect 200.00 dollars! I had booked about a month out and the upstairs room I wanted wasn't available, but guess what, when they had a cancellation, who called? That's right, Amanda! When my husband and I arrived we were met with a big smile and a gracious spirit. It makes a difference when people love what they do and Amanda loves the hospitality business and she demonstrates that in everything she does. She even offered her cell phone should we need her beyond the normal business hours. She offered great suggestions on where to eat and various things to do since we visited during off season. I was celebrating my birthday and came back to the room to a personal note and a bottle of my favorite wine. This girl is paying attention to details my friend! She gets it! I haven't even gotten to the rooms! Awesome. The lay out is great, the beds are wonderful, the views are so pretty especially at night when they turn the lights on. Location is close to everything.

My husband and I wanted a long weekend getaway to relax and enjoy ourselves. Deerfield Lodge was the perfect spot and gave us our perfect weekend. Amanda was wonderful and so helpful. Her personal service and friendly personality made our trip even more enjoyable. The room was immaculate and the bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed the heater/fireplace that added the perfect ambiance to the weekend stay. We even saw a mama bear and her 2 cubs right across the street on our way back from dinner. I highly suggest booking a room here if you want an all around wonderful vacation.

Best place to stay in Lake Tahoe! Amanda is the best. Incredible. Very friendly staff, very attentive, they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Beautiful rooms! And furry friends welcome. Highly recommend.

Outstanding in every way. Incredible value, beautiful, newly renovated, clean rooms. Some of the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever experienced. There isn't a better place to stay in Lake Tahoe.

Had a relaxing time here. Clean, friendly people, and a modern room with a lodge feel. We had the room plus a kitchenette which was very clean and fully equipped. We definitely will be going back.

Deerfield lodge is a great place to stay. Great room, great location and great staff. Love that they had nice dishes instead of paper plates. Great to sit outside looking at courtyard and drinking my coffee in a glass cup. Tahoe is beautiful and Deerfield is the place to stay.

Service was excellent — Brooks was very helpful and responsive with local recommendations and going above and beyond for my wife's birthday. The room was clean, nice, recently renovated with a comfortable bed, fireplace, and well stocked kitchenette. Highly recommend and will plan on coming back again. Thank you Brooks!

Keep in mind it is a small Lodge and has a small staff but that didn't keep us from having an amazing experience at Deerfield Lodge. The staff and management were incredibly accommodating leaving us hand written letters (thank you for staying, things to do, how to get here and there, etc. ). We even left our phone chargers in the room and received a phone call before we even realized we forgot them, asking if we would prefer picking them up at the desk or have them mailed to us. I would definitely stay here again! Clean, courteous and comfortable. What more could you ask for in Tahoe?

My girlfriend and I were one of the first people to stay at the hotel after their fire accident. We actually didn't know they re-opened recently. We were pleasantly surprised by the remodeled room. The room was modern with a touch of cabin feel. It even has a gas fireplace that is controlled by the thermostat. The hotel manager lives on site so that's a big convenience if we ever needed anything. Free continental breakfast on the weekends which is mostly just bagels, orange juice, and bagels. Complimentary kurig coffee everywhere and free wine bottles at the front desk to take! Would definitely recommend anyone thinking of staying!
